Name:Sylance
Nickname:Sy, The Four Winds
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Species: Nobody
Height: 5'11"
Position: Chaotic Neutral
Power(s): Sy's power is the ability to control the elements around him, but mainly it's air. Since air is essentially in almost every other element he can manipulate them, but by no means can he master them. The only element he can master is air, and he can manipulate it most every time. He cannot manipulate fire, but only push it with his wind and smother it.
Although most of the time Sy is calm and reserved, when he loses control of his emotions, he loses control of his power. Sorrow brings a cold wind, rage begets tornado's, manic summons raging squalls, adrenalin unleashes fierce winds.
Wind can influence:
[/center]
earth: not solid rock but loose soil and sand.
water: 2part hydrogen, 1 oxygen, and only when there are large amounts like a large pond or when it's raining hard.
oxygen: it's what air is
debris: moving it and only if the wind is strong enough can he move large debris.
general air magicsfire: feeding fire to form massive blazes. Fire does need air.
sand: it's a type of loose earth.
Wind cannot influence:
Ice: UNLESS it's loose like snow. Otherwise it would take too much effort to move it.
Darkness: Although it has an airy characteristic to it, it's not easily manipulated by wind.
Light: Has no characteristics to wind or air and cannot be manipulated.
Lightning: it's too wild of an element to be manipulated.
Weapon(s): Hu-tieh
The Hu-tieh, meaning "butterfly" in Mandarin Chinese, acts as two blades in one. With a latching component, the wielder can choose to have two identical swords or one large double-blade. The hilt has sturdy blade segments not only to give it character but also as a shield to some melee attacks. The hilt also sports a traditional Japanese katana wrapping.
Due to the Hu-tieh's unique blade shape, it does not have it's own sheath. Instead it is held in a sturdy leather strapped sheath that is positioned at the hips, buckled around the waist and thighs. When not in use the blades are latched in as two, with the hilt blades segments facing down.
Though it is true for most Nobodies, the Hu-tieh is not completely apart of Sylance's being, making him unable to summon/withdraw it using his powers and thus the blade is always visible. At least till he learns how to use his nobody powers properly.
Picture(optional):Appearance: Standing at nearly six feet, he appears to have a slightly lean build. His skin is a pasty cream color, making his pale yellow-green hair stand out. His eyes a silver that sometimes appear white due to their tendency to blend into his skin color.
He wears a black-sleeveless turtleneck, and straight-legged black pants that match. His tawny brown boots end on his shin, just below the knee cap, the bottom of the pants are tucked in the boots. He sports a short jacket, colored a faded orange. The jacket's color is slightly trimmed with blue as well as down the shoulder and to the cuffs. He wears brown, leather gloves that buckle at the wrist and a portion of the top of them is cut out as was the style. Lastly, he wears a long blue cloth as a bandanna and although he could shorten the cloth, he would rather not.
Personality: Due to the trials he faces alone in the depths of darkness, Sylance is not by any means social. In-fact he doesn't even speak to those he doesn't trust whole heartily. Due to this, the name given to him was originally Silence but was later changed to Sylance to make it a little bit more original.
He is reserved, and doesn't take to people very well, trusting hardly no one, if anyone at all. He can become very paranoid, maybe even irrational almost randomly. Though he has a high tolerance for most personalities, he is short with those who are brash.
He thinks in a twisted logic. As an example: if someone wished for death, he would try and fulfill their wish, viewing it as his 'duty' in their final hour of 'need'. He doesn't cope with feelings very well. The only ones he is familiar with are rage, pain, and hatred. He feels no remorse when he is set on a decision and often acts for his own well being rather than a groups.
At best he is chaotic.
Original World: Destiny Island(lost his heart when it first got destroyed)
Current Residing World: The World That Never Was
History/Background: As a human, he was kind, loud, outgoing. Heck he was the kind of guy that would grab the bull by the horns and go with the flow. And despite his attitude, he was always helping others wholeheartedly. But all that changed when the heartless attacked his world. He had tried his hardest to save the people of his home, but just ended up getting his heart taken by the heartless anyway. And that's the end, right? Was he just let himself die? Hell no, how could he. All those people were in danger. He couldn't let himself be lost to the darkness. In the end he wasn't strong enough to save them. And he lost his heart to the darkness.
Upon awaking he could no longer remember who he was or where, but it didn't matter to him. Those he lost, he didn't remember their faces, their voices, nothing. And yet something echoed to him. He searched endlessly looking for that echo, so far that he even entered the deepest darkness. In that darkness he became trapped, and the echo turned into loud booming voices. He would call out to the voices, but never received a response. He lost his mind.
He retreated from the darkness he cast himself into and began an aimless search for release of himself, to erase the voices that plagued his own mind.
Role Playing Sample: Echoes from Darkness
The storm boomed loudly outside the tower. He watched it intensely, watched it billow toward the town. The clouds were so dark, as if something evil was guiding them. His had that rested under his chin, he shifted and leaned toward the window. He pushed himself to his feet, something was wrong with that dark storm cloud, but he couldn't figure out what it was. He heard footsteps behind him.
"Staring out at the clouds like always, boy? Hurry up and activate the alarm. Seems like that storms gonna hit any moment and we gotta get them people in the shelter."
He turned around and scowled at his father as he left. "You don't have to tell me twice, old timer." He walked around the desk to the ladder and climbed up. He cranked the siren at the light house till he couldn't turn the gauge anymore. then he flipped the switch and climbed back down. The siren crawled its pitch into a loud boom that the whole town would hear. But once he exited the lighthouse the siren went dead as did the light. "Aw crap."
He climbed back up the tower to the top. Not even off the ladder, he could plainly see the problem. Little black things jumped around the room, at least five of them. He didn't know how but those things broke his light and siren. "Hey! You guys get out of here!" One looked at him with it's hollow yellow eyes. It jumped at him. With a yell he let go of the ladder and fell to the second floor, landing on his butt. He quickly threw it off. and stood up. The other four jumped down. "Hell no." he ran to the other ladder and let himself slide down. The moment he hit the ground he took off running.
He could hear screams and the loud wind circling above him. Approaching the top of the hill he gazed down at the town. Somehow, for some reason, it was falling apart. Large patches were missing, replaced by black spots. He was so confused.
What was going on? he turned around, more of those black creatures were running about. He ran down into the town, to the shelter. Calling the names of everyone he knew. No one returned his call.
He approached the shelter and saw the creatures jumping over each other. The shelter door was open and he could hear screaming. He ran in jumping over the black creatures. "Brother!" He heard a voice call to him. He turned and kicked the creatures trying to get at her. He picked her up and turned to the entrance. There was too many of them. He looked around the room. A hole was in the ceiling. He pushed her up to it. "Get out of here! Find mom and dad and get out!"
He turned and ran for the door, hoping to get past and divert them away from his sister. He jumped but tripped over one of them. He struggled hard against them, but nothing worked. He felt pain and then, total darkness.

I don't want to die! ... I won't let go. The Voices. Let me go! Go away. Help me!Sylance raised his head.
No more. No more screams. He stood in the darkness. His self exile to the darkness was to come to an end. He could no longer take the loud cries that plagued him for so long. He walked through the darkness, almost endlessly, until he came to an eerie light. He looked up and reached toward it with open arms. He closed his eyes as he walked though. When he opened them, everything was white, except for the sky. It was dark and seemed hollow like the darkness. And despite the sky being dark, there was plenty of light. He turned around and looked up at the magnificent white castle.
Where ever he was, it was better than the echoing darkness.
So much better.
Everything so bright.
My eyes hurt. He looked around, had the voices followed him out of the darkness? No, the voiced came from within.
Find another way to escape the voices, I will have to. He didn't realize that the voices were his own.
