In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

As Yuffie stood with her hands in her pockets, she stared at the eternal sunset of Twilight Town, waiting for her date. It was recently Valentine's Day, and some higher power (read: her RPer) had gotten her paired with somebody named Saxen. So now she waited, blowing a strand of her hair out of her eyes and continuing to wait.
Saxen was walking up a hill to a place called "Sunset Terrace" for one of the dumbest things he had ever participated in. Deathblade had signed him up for it, saying that it would be good to try to get away from dwelling on his friends back home. One good thing that came from it, though, was that he finally had his mind to himself for a few hours. He didn't have to worry about shifting personalities or Deathblade invading his thoughts. Saxen had gone through all the clothes he had, but the nicest thing he had, by far, was his old army uniform. In Anhnyqueg, his uniform was what he would wear for any public appearance. He did, however, exchange his normal gloves for a pair of gold cuffs that Deathblade had made him. He constantly shifted them as he walked up. When he got to the top, he saw a single girl standing with her hands in her pockets. "Beautiful sunset, isn't it?" he asked as he walked over to stand by her. "Are you Yuffie, then?"
Yuffie turned around at the voice and smiled. "And you're Saxen, I presume. It's a pleasure." With a small giggle, she looked him up and down. "Well, whoever did the matchmaking sure picked a dashing man." She then turned and leaned on the railing, looking at the sunset.
"So, you got any plans. Because I'm perfectly fine with anything. Well, within reason, if you know what I mean." she said in a fluttery voice, high on life.
((Yeah, I said high on life. >O Can't think of anything else. *brick'd*))
Saxen couldn't help but smile and turn a little red at the compliment. It wasn't often people said anything about his looks. Usually, everything was about strategy or fighting ability. When she asked if he had any plans, Saxen stuck his hand into his pocket to check for money and his face showed some concentration. He was poor and in an unfamiliar place with someone he had just met. After several seconds, he looked up with a slightly nervous smile, and, cracking his knuckles out of habit, said "I think we should stay here for a little while. I still love seeing the sun, especially at sunset. Then, we can walk around town and see what we find." He went over to lean on the railing next to her, looking out into the sunset. "Where I'm from, you don't get to see the sun very often. Most people never see it." Then, he looked at her again and his smile became more relaxed and sincere, although his eyes were distant and his face soon followed. Part of him just wanted to be with his friends back home, but he knew he had bigger responsibilities now. For the moment, he just looked out into the sunset.
As she looked out of the corner of her eye, she watched Saxen dig through his pockets, then giggled as he suggested they just stay there. "Well, if you're broke, then I'm fine with this." An impish smile broke her face, and she turned to him and said, "But I never said I was broke, did I? Maybe later we can get some dinn..."
She cut off when he saw him space out, and knew what he was thinking of. "You must miss your home world." she said, running a hand through her hair. "Well, that makes two of us. At least I was lucky enough to have a couple friends that accompanied me away from home."
When Yuffie tried to comfort him, Saxen smiled. He didn't feel that much better, but she had tried. Besides, they had a date to go on and he had no intention of ruining that for her. He turned to her and smiled. "What were you saying? About dinner? I do have some money to contribute."
Yuffie giggled at his politeness and said, "I'd like that, but not now. Let's watch the sun." She wrapped her arm around his and leaned in close, but not enough to where he would be uncomfortable. "It's so pretty, isn't it?" she said, looking back at the sun. "I wonder why it never sets though." With some thought, she said, "Maybe it symbolizes that light will never fall to darkness."
When Yuffie came close to him, Saxen turned red enough that he could feel it. "It's so pretty, isn't it?" She asked.
"Yeah...it is," he said, a slight smile starting to form on his face.
"I wonder why it never sets, though."
That got him to start thinking, too. He thought about things he had heard about light and darkness since he had left his world. On his world, Light was equal to Life, but Mikhail had told him that the universe relied on a balance of the two. He, personally, was still trying to figure out what he thought. His train of thought, however, was broken when he heard her answer to her own query. "Maybe it symbolizes that light will never fall to darkness."
"Or, maybe, it shows the beauty of balance in the worlds. But, me, I'd rather just enjoy it as a sunset with a pretty girl." He looked over at her and smiled, trying his best not to seem like a creep. "Every moment is important, and each moment should be enjoyed as such, without dwelling on the past." In a way, he was trying to convince them both to just enjoy the moment, especially himself.
With a sigh, Yuffie relaxed and stared at the sunset, enjoying being with someone to watch it. After a while, though, a deep sound came from her stomach. With a small giggle, she stepped back and said, "Well, it's about that time. Wanna go get some food now?"
A while later

Yuffie sat at the table of the restaurant, placing a plate in her spot and Saxen's. The smell of steak rose up into Yuffie's nose, and she grabbed a knife and fork, cutting her meat.
"Enjoy!" she said with a wink.
((This suckssssssss. D:))
