In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Powers: Mordecai’s main abilities lie in his martial arts training, agility, and sword training. Mordecai is able to jump over enemies, run up walls up to 15 feet, and is a very good climber. Mordecai can also hunt and cook to some extent.
Weapon: Mordecai wields a pair of slightly curved swords that can combine into a single curved sword, a single double-edged sword, or a double bladed weapon.
Appearance: Mordecai’s most distinguishing feature is the large scar that covers his right eye. The scar is round, but irregular. It was given by a mace blow and keeps his right eye mostly shut and useless. His hair is long, dark, and mostly covers his scar, and his eyes are red. His skin is rather pale and covered in scars from training and from various fights. He stands at 5’10” and is of average size. Having long since abandoned any fancy clothing he may have had, Mordecai now either wears simple armor or traveling clothes. His armor is mostly black leather, but has black and red shoulder plates and chest-plate. He wears black boots and wears black gloves whenever he wears his armor. His traveling clothes are comprised of a simple, loose, black shirt, a black belt, and loose, black pants.
Personality: Mordecai can appear to be a very harsh person, and, for the most part, he is. He does, however, refuse to kill if he does not have a purpose, but if you are his enemy, he will not hesitate to end you. Everything he does has a purpose in achieving some goal. His words often contradict what he does and he tries to make himself appear stronger than he is, both mentally and physically. His only problem with stealing is that it's a last resort. Stealing, to him, means that every other option has failed. Though he has learned many fighting disciplines, he has little self-control. His anger flares very quickly when he is told something he doesn’t want to hear. Though Mordecai can be a hothead, he is a very good strategist when his mind is clear. He is rather impersonal and values honor, strength, and power above many other things. Because of this, he spends much time trying to get stronger and almost totally refuses to take charity. Despite his rude and gruff demeanor, he wants to do good, deep down.
Original World: Hekwajan Current World: Traverse Town
History:
Mordecai was born and raised as the crown prince of Hekwanyqueg, where he was taught that his country was superior to all others. He was told that it was his destiny to help lead his country to conquer all others. From a very early age, Mordecai was taught several martial arts, how to use several weapons, and war strategies. His day consisted of training, studying, a little bit of free time, and eating and sleeping. Some of his training was to build up his body’s resistances to give him a high tolerance of pain. His parents, though, were usually busy with running the country and other such things.
One of his father’s generals, however, took special interest in Mordecai. This general was a little older than the king and his name was Marcello. Marcello’s son, having seen all of the war-centered propaganda, became merciless, killing with the slightest provocation. This had led Marcello to find a greater meaning in life, and, hoping to change the country for the better, decided to try to change the prince. Marcello spent as much time as he could with the young prince, teaching him bits of proverbs along with his normal training. He also spent time just playing with the boy.
As Mordecai got older, he got more anxious to see what his father did. However, the prince was only allowed into meetings and such after his sixteenth birthday. Although, Marcello was able to get Mordecai into a few war meetings (once he turned 13), hoping to get him to see the thoughtless destruction they planned. In one of the meetings, a plan was proposed to send some soldiers out into the Wilderness to apprehend a great enemy warrior. Mordecai argued that this was a suicide mission, as the Wilderness was the most dangerous place on the world. The general and the king were not appreciative of this outburst, and the king told Mordecai that he would be punished.
The king refused to deal with a disrespectful and disobedient son, so he forced his Mordecai to fight him. Mordecai, of course, was unable to do this. His father, on the other hand, had no problem fighting his own son. He even chose to wield a mace, so he could leave a very noticeable scar. Mordecai, as soon as he saw whom he was fighting, threw his weapon aside and began to beg for forgiveness. His father, however, walked calmly over to him and stopped for a moment before bringing the mace across his son’s face, barely leaving Mordecai sight in his right eye. Mordecai laid on the ground, defeated inside and out, with blood running down his face.
The king told Mordecai that he was banished, and that his only chance to return would be to do the very thing that he had said would be so impossible. He had to kill all of the great warriors of their enemy nations. The king simply wanted to be rid of his son, but also saw a possibility to eliminate some of his enemies. Mordecai spent his time training for the day that he would be ready to fight these warriors. Marcello, though, mysteriously died before he could accompany Mordecai.
This left Mordecai alone for two years before an old friend, Althea, joined him. She had always had a crush on Mordecai, but she wasn’t willing to leave everything behind until then. After another year, right before Mordecai left to fulfill his quest, the heartless attacked his home. At first, he didn't really care, but as time went on, he first decided that he had to help his home, then he realized that they wouldn't stop after overtaking the kingdoms. Soon, however, the heartless destroyed his world, and Mordecai was spit out at Traverse Town.

I would accept this if I didn't had a problem with Mordecai being parrallel to Prince Zuko, and there's too much elements involved to even call it coincidental. There's one thing to be inspired by a media and to rip off of it. Also I advise you to form paragraphs in your history.

//What really helps with character development is to structure his enviroment. We are all bi-products by our enviroment and our parental guardians. If you structure those, you can pretty much guide what your character can be pretty much answering the question "what is the method of his madness?" "why is he the way he is?"
Assignment 1: Set up Hekwajan. What is it like? Also if your character is still a prince, how's the aristocracy? Try to mold the world to give reasons why Mordecai developed the personality he did, because what he is IS the reponse to his surroundings.
Take Coffee for example. She was a traditional viera of the woods, who had a wild and free spirit, but suffered depression and domestic violence that only made her more rebellious and aligned with her freeness. She was trained as a wood-warder by a rugged viera, Raja, who installed the idea of never showing weaknesses. With those influences, loosing her entire elements of her childhood, and the now lost trust in the Mother Guardian of the Woods, she turned her back on her past life and cuts herself from it, since she was trained to not show weakness and the portion of her life holds too much emotional conflicts. To make sure she won't look back, she completely alters her demeanor to a fiesty murderous seducing huntress that only cares about her own well-being, because she can't get hurt if she's alone and never attached.
Minnie Mouse is an example as well. She was forced in the position to be the head guardian of her world after Mickey took the Cornerstone of Light leaving it vulnerable. With them lacking communication, she's starting to have trust problems in regards to her husband and his decisions without consulting her, then leaves her with the mess and pieces.
Kairi has been a damsel figure enough times and has been left behind on the side-lines waiting for her friends, while they go through their own struggles. Being close friends, they pretty much ideally would've shared a lot together, and throughout Kingdom Hearts, she's been disconnected from them and left behind. They have done and been through so much because she was in the equation...twice, and yet she feels that their relationship is unbalanced, because she never had a chance to fight for them. Now for herself and for them, she left the Islands to pretty much find herself and become stronger for the worlds, Sora, Riku, and for herself.
Hekwajan is adapted from Hekwanyqueg, which would be a place on Saxen's world. Hekwanyqueg is a country/city whose leaders believe that they are superior to everyone else. Their royal family trains for war from a young age because they intend to one day conquer their world, as opposed to the royal family of Anhnyqueg that trains because it is required that they lead the troops to war. The culture, of course, would be similar to Anhnyqueg. Their technology is limited and their society is centered around preparing for war. The class system would likely go Royal Family-->Soldiers and Smiths-->Citizens. Life at the castle would be rather routine. His day would simply consist of training, learning, eating, and a little free time.

Pregunta is Hekwajan is related to Saxen's domain that their history would overlap, or comepletely unrelated?
Also to start the molding process. Link your character's personality with an specific event. Why would a child living and breathing a war orientated life would be concerned with human life if his country is all for INVADING rather than protecting? How would that aspect even blossom in a rough and rugged enviroment? How was his parents with him?
Hekwajan, for the purposes of RPing on WD, is a completely independent world, but is made from the same well of ideas. I'll hit the parents first so I can think about the other thing a little more. His parents were mostly inactive in his life. They spent their time running the country and the army. Marcello spent much more time with him than either of his parents did, despite being gone much of the time. I suppose I should rephrase that part of the personality. What would be more likely for him to learn would be that everything he does should have a purpose beyond the moment, that killing for no reason gets you nowhere, but planning will.

kk //Also keep tabs of what you're concluding and edit as we go.
So thus far: - Mordecai is ruggedly structure. - He seems to be molded similar to his parents by being focus on a goal - Does he suffers anything from lack of parental communication such as: the child longing to be with his parents or does he understands their position which drives to be more like them. or/both. Does he strives to be strong for his attention. - Also how does your character get the quirk of 'wanting to do good'? What is good in his morale when he's raised in a pilaging society? Is it a twisted sense of good or the actual 'lightness of good? - Also how is Marcello? What is his personality structure? How does he influence Mordecai? Why would a general have so much interest in the Prince? Is there a personal gain? (this is just to branch him away from being a replica of Uncle Iro)
Unfortunately, most of the point of having Marcello was to have someone to help have an influence that wasn't all about war even before he left and would meet Saxen and the other Zytanha. This one, I'm having difficulty with...

Alrighty I get that, but now you would have to THINK like Marcello and think for him, since he is a person not just an object of your own plot device.
- Why would Marcello have concerns with Mordecai's wellbeing? What did Mordecai do to trigger this? Is it his lack of empathy showing a lack of childdishness? Give a specifc event in where Mordecai did something that truly unnervers Marcello to bring concern.
Also think for Marcello and image...why would he care so much? Have he witnessed the hazard of being war brainwashed and motivated?
This would give him more of a reason to act then just be a random good samaritan who wish to save the youth from a path of distruction layed out by the child's father, who is also the king.
My issue is more with how Marcello became the person he is. . . Odds are he wouldn't get much opportunity to talk to people outside Hekwajan, and everyone in Hekwajan would be thinking the same way...unless I move his son's death to much earlier and...I got it! Essentially, Marcello's son get's the same propaganda and such given to him, and, later, dies because of it. Marcello, not wanting others to waste their lives, tries to find a way to change things without being killed. Through this, he takes a special interest in Mordecai, trying to teach him that other things are more important than conquering other countries, hoping that through changing Mordecai, he may be able to change the rest of the country.

That works. I would just fabricate Marcello's son situation to NOT be the same as Iro's and his son, who merely died in the line of action. Marcello's son can be a useful tool. He could be very brash heartless, and even enstranged the relation with his father.

Firstly be sure you read the flow of your sentences then just sticking it in. Also make them into paragraph forms. Also elaborate Marcello's son. What was so disturbing about him to make it a priority of Marcello to change the new-king for the future. Merely saying he's harsh isn't saying much, since that would be a norm for everyone. Also why would Marcello want Mordecai in a war meeting? Why couldn't he previously be in war meetings?
Also since Mordecai doesn't have the same personality outline as Zuko he would have a different response. Why would he speak against harming civilains if he only cares for war now? Since Mordecai would later on learn that there's more to life, Marcello's intervention would naturally be a failure. (which I would advice to articulate in the profile)
Also Naturally if Mordecai is so single-minded, he would be all for it or even advice it if its for good reasoning the sake of the kingdom, which would be his sense of good.
Also everything we discuss and pretty much conclude, put it in your profile for that any reader can understand the breakdown we're doing now. With rpg, writing is our only source of communication; it's your job to make sure EVERYONE can see what you see crystal clear unless you're purposely putting them in the situation to figure it out. With that, when you make your edits make sure you give enough information for people can understand all the characters you use such as: Mordecai, Marcello, Marcello's son, Mordecai's father, etc. This is for they can fully understand how your character came to be.
