In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Powers: Sophia's powers consist of the three basic spells: Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder. She also has a strange ability with the magic of Time. Her ability lies within experimentation of the spell Stop. It's a magic in which she doesn't stop time briefly, but rewinds it in the very moment, overlapping realities.
With the small duration of the rewind, there's truly no time to think of anything different or correct any mistakes, the same action will be done over and over again in the overlapping times. Due to the fact that it's just doing the same action over and over again it can usually only be used in physical fighting, to temporarily give a sense of superhuman strength. However, it also gives her the exhaustion as if she were to do all the actions that many time, increasing fatigue.
On the inside of effect, which ranges about 10 feet in diameter, with Sophia at the center, it seems like this is all done within a normal moment of speed, so one second seems like one second. However, on the outside, due to the repeating action, the more times it's used on one action the slower the action looks, and behind it is a series of phantom wisps of the same action lagging behind.
After the action is done, and all repeats of the action over the spell ends. However there is a small paradox event that takes place every time. Everything within the area of effect flashes in out of existence in a small flicker, to get back in sync with reality. No after effects have been discovered being caused by this, but it leaves Sophia worrisome about excessively using the technique.
I realize it seems confusing so I'll write an example:
*Sophia threw a punch at her enemy's side using her Time technique three times over, multiplying the strength time three. Her opponent blocked it with a metal shield, her had slamming into the shield with that strength. She knew that the shield would be stronger no matter how many times she hit it. As everything flickered in and out of nothingness she was shot with a throbbing pain in her hand. She could feel that it was likely she could have shattered her knuckles.
Her enemy came charging at her at the ready, but she spotted an opening her leg could get through straight to his face. She went for the kick while using her Time technique once more. This time five times over. It was a direct hit. The force would have broken his jaw in probably more than one place. As they flickered once more she saw him fall, her leg was exhausted and fist in extreme pain.
Weapon:
She has a standard weaponry for her position. She carries at her side a black sword with an elaborate design of red streaks along the hilt and one long red line through the center of the blade. This is a symbol of her rank. The blade it approximately 2 and a half feet long, and less than an inch wide as for depth. Her sword is always sheathed at her side. Next to her second weapon.
As another protocol she carries a gun with her. Just an average firearm, nothing spectacular about it. She always keeps it loaded but tries to never fire. If she could get an opponent to back down just by looking down the barrel she will. Firing a gun to her seems like taking someone's life without giving a chance to have it. Even though she doesn't have to follow protocol anymore, she feels much safer if she has it for emergency, and it seems useful as a psychological weapon.

Appearance: The first noticeable thing about Sophia would be her hair. It's long and free, about shoulder length, but whats truly noticeable is it's color; her hair is a bright blue with pink streaks in it. This is to give a feeling of happy feminism to her, to balance her other gloom and doom clothes. The rest of her face is pretty normal: nice tan skin, sparkly green eyes, but a little bit of crooked teeth. Nothing witch like with her teeth, they simply aren't perfect.
She stands at about 5 feet and 7 inches tall. As stated before, she has tan skin, all around. Mostly from standing in the outdoors. Her accessories consist of an arrangement of different types of bangles and bracelets that create a mixture of colors and different looks, giving her right arm a gypsy kind of look.
Her clothing consists of all black and red. It starts with a red cape running down her left shoulder and reaching only her waist. This is held on by a button on her jacket which is a thick blood red and contains multiple pockets and a small medal on the right shoulder, resembling some kind of dragon cradling a tiger.
Under her jacket, which is always open, is just a black tank top with no design on it. She also wears a sleek black pants. Kind of a rough silky type fabric, tight, but not skin tight. These pants are black with red seems for the stitching. They kind of sag overtop of her black boots as well, which the bottom is more of a light brown from being dragged through mud in the past and basic wear and tear. Her pants are also kept on by a red belt, which is just a leather strap. On her left side, attached to her belt, she wears the sheath for her sword, right next to the holster for her gun. The only design the belt has are a few black stripes going vertical here and there.
Personality: She tries to have an upbeat personality and befriend many people. She just finds it hard sometimes. Understanding that people don't like having depressed people around, she is one to hide any sadness when people are among her and try to be strong, especially if other people can't manage it. She feels the need to be strong and happy for other people.
Her attempts to be open and friendly are very hard for her to maintain, due to being in military and not being able to trust too easily, and war is a discriminate thing. However, she was raised off it and it's almost all she knows, so discrimination is in her nature, no matter how hard she tries to hide it.
She has an ideal of self-sacrifice for others, if it is sure to meet a greater good because of it. She believes that millions of lives are worth the price of one. However sometimes gets carried away with this. Having given up any hopes to survive the next day each day is a blessing, and nothing is too dangerous to try.
This makes her seemingly reckless but in reality she has almost and obsession with being control. Feeling powerless without control, she wants to have influence and command over a situation, however she doesn't want to steal people's free will. The fine line between the two keeps her constantly in a crisis and hesitation as to whether or not she still has good morales behind her actions.
When not in the heat of the moment she is kind of a wreck. She will panic, freak out, and be your average person. She gets over worried and paranoid very easily, but only in the relaxed times and when she has time to be.
Focused and in control when needed, and being able to know how to seem pleasing to others, naturally she usually takes the closest spot of leadership she can. Usually some don't have a problem with it, but if one does she simply won't lead them.
Her style is strategic. She has a sense that outsmarting anyone gives a feeling of superiority. That feels good to her. So whether battling or arguing, she tries to think multiples steps ahead of her opponents, friendly or not. She likes being ahead of the game and loves when her well thought out plans snap together.
Original World: Kuran Current World: Traverse Town
History:
Since the day she was born, Sophia was known as sort of a trouble-maker. Many thought it was just a phase but it never fully left her. In her home-world, a world of poverty and sadness, being a trouble-maker seemed almost as bad as being a thief. She simply used it to cope, but others looked at it as selfishness.
After it got far too overwhelming, and her parents became less and less able to support her, she was sent into a training camp to join the army and become an honorable person. It might stop her from her trouble-making habits, earn her some respect, and maybe even earn them some better living.
At first when she joined she had expected it would be the same lifestyle as her normal home. She caused just as much trouble for the introduction week. However, for the first 4 months she was worked harder then the rest handling severe and grueling punishments. It broke her down out of her trouble-making ways almost right away and she had gained a new respect for elders and life itself.
Since her coping was replaced with working, she naturally started finding happiness in her work instead. She focused on being the best of the best in her class. All the academic courses she passed with flying colors, and she finished all the physical exercises more efficiently then anyone else.
She was starting to get bored with the challenges her peers provided, they stopped being challenges overall. She wasn't the only one to see this though, the military had decided to upgrade Sophia to the commander courses. She was headed off to become higher rank than all of those she trained with.
She started learning more and more, she learned how to fight, along with some basic magic. Sophia also had some more free time, she spent it trying to learn even more. Magic intrigued her, and origins of foreign things intrigued her more. She studied, took her own notes, and applied some things to her work. Then her training included some magic no one had ever seen, and strategies no one had ever tried. They were superb and seemingly unbeatable. At 16 she was ready to go out into the never ending war her world was stuck in.
After a few years as a commander, she got a new team. A more powerful team. She was ready to be trusted with lives that weren't as expendable as those she learned to command. Her first mission with the team they were to defend from a full on assault coming from all ends. Her commands seemed outrageous and stupid. Every soldier there viewed it as a suicide and were blatantly insulted. They formed a rebellion to her rule right away. She encountered the one leading the miniature movement of soldiers and told him that his influence was a blessing. If he had talent to lead he should try.
They went on the full mission without any orders from their new commander, while she sat and sipped her tea, playing chess against herself. After many deaths she was encountered by the team that had disobeyed her and begged for help. She gave the same orders as before, and the odds quickly shifted, they won, with almost half their forces cut in half before she cut in.
She was viewed as a great leader. Unbreakable will, and unbeatable mind. In reality she was slowly snapping. The pressure of not losing was increasing on her back, the people were trusting her too much. She was worried she got corrupted. As soon as she requested honorable discharge, a new war had started. Evil creatures had come and visited her planet. She wasn't part of the war anymore, not her problem. However she noticed that the existence of her world had started melting away on her way home.
An instinct told her she would not get to see her family again. Or anyone. She felt that this was likely the end. The new enemy was too much for anyone to handle. She let herself slowly drift to sleep before the chaos had reached his climax. Hoping she would be able to go painless. That was the moment she had accepted death, any day after was a gift to be cherished and never wasted.
Unlike what she thought, she woke up in traverse town, but just her and what she had directly on. None of her extra cloths she had packed, or her notes on the world. She couldn't remember exactly what happened, for she went to sleep. However, she still knew deep down that her life had gone away. First thing she did in this new land was buy a notebook and a writing utensil. She then sat in a corner and drew the new place. Every corner. Took notes.
She had set her new journey. To learn. Learn everything there is to know, about every place there is to be.
Role Playing Sample:
A light sunny morning. The orange sun reflecting on the beautiful golden land. The only thin could be seen from the beginning of our layout would be endless dunes, one would suppose nothing of existence and excitement was there. But under the surface, in the cold under the reflections of the searing sun, was a mixture of all human motion any can know.
Hidden under the sands, ten chunks of life. Awaiting for the opportunity. The snakes they had working for them told that this little spot from hell was the destination. Sure enough, after to seconds that lasted hours, the humming sound of helicopters came into the sight of an ear. The ground above the ten shadows started shaking, whether from nervousness of those under it or from the spinning whirlwind of the helicopters, it would seem like a natural disturbance to the peace.
Out the helicopter popped a mans head. Peeking from one way to other, to check if there was someone hiding in the desert. Paranoia had likely struck them. They must've known they were to be attacked, could there be a rat? Sophia didn't have time to think. She could feel the pounds of multiple feet landing from a descent out of their ride. They were on a mission, but so were their hidden pursuers.
As words were exchanged among the men, the ones truly focused had overcame them from below. First grabbing their legs and pulling them. Seemingly using these men for human ladders, the under ground assailants had proceeded to the top of the land, and every single one of their targets, who had stood out in clear day with giant red targets painted on their backs went down in one fluid motion.
Sophia looked among the people and found who was supposedly the leader among these people. He was clear as day, in a flashy outfit, not unlike her own. He was being held by one of her men, her best actually. With a smile, she walked to the captive, preparing for a sarcastic comment.
"You guerrillas! Had you faced us honorably we would have prevailed."
He said spitting in her face. She didn't break, it landed on her as she calmly listened. She wiped it off in disgust.
"You put honor before survival? I suppose that could lead to some fascinating stories in the second life." she said, knowing it wasn't an insult, but the frustrated man took it as one.
Before he went off on a swearing fit she threw a punch, while simultaneously doing something strange with the time. She controlled everyones world at that moment. As she punched him, it seemed to do unusually strong damage. The man was thrown back, with the face of a fresh picked strawberry.
As the world flashed in and out, everyone was amazed. The man however wouldn't have had the time to respect the technique, for he was temporarily dead to the world.
"Ma'am, what shall we do with them?" asked one of her shoulders, not hesitant to talk to this freakishly strong woman.
"We're taking prisoners today men. We're going to leave them in the prison of the desert. Anyone who can survive deserves the life they win themselves." she said as she hopped into the helicopter.
"Yes Ma'am." they all said as one machine, following her into the helicopter. The men they had left behind were shackled by their own shame and surprise. As they drove off into the clouds Sophia couldn't help but wonder what families had just lost their fathers.
Questions/Comments/Suggestions? Totally just made up a world. Is that okay? Also. I used a lot of metaphors and stuff in my RP sample. Is that okay too?

Making an original world is a hundred percent acceptable. So long as they make sense, metaphors are as well. (But for future reference, we prefer to see RP samples in one of our own worlds. ;] )
