In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

They aren't just things out of comic books for our imaginations to fawn over. One in every million children is born with a special ability that is just as dangerous as it is amazing. These rare kids are misunderstood. They're feared and hated for who they can't help but be. In the past they were burned at the stake, locked up in mental asylums, and exiled from society. Now you never hear of them, but they're still out there. These kids fly under the radar until their families can't deal with them anymore. Sooner or later, all of the live ones end up at a special school:
Power's Academy.
Founded in 1900 by one Miss Janet Mays, Power's Academy flourished under her reign. It became a safehaven for misunderstood human beings, where Powers are taught to control their powers enough to become functioning members of society. Now run by Janet's great-grandaughter, Krystal Mays, Power's Academy welcomes children of all ages, and is presented as a rich and prestigious private boarding school for the future leaders of society to keep the secret of its students.
Power's Academy is located near the town of St. Michael's, where rumours of super-powered beings have been spreading for as long as the town has been around. Out of those who believe in it, some are accepting and interested. Others are not so friendly. They think Powers are abominations, monsters to be destroyed, and they'll do anything to see Powers wiped off of the face of the earth. Clashes are sure to occur, along with the usual love, friendship, hatred, and heartbreak that accompanies any school.
