In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.
The icons you see across the site are from FontAwesome, an amazing icon library.
All images on this site belong to their respective owners or creators. Kingdom Hearts: World Destiny does not claim ownership of anything except our unique story.
All Original characters are the intellectual property of their respective RPers. Do not steal any characters or other creative works.
All Canon Characters belong to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Square Enix and Disney.
In an unprecedented move in the history of World Destiny, the World and Canon character division has been brought down. All non-original characters shall hereafter be referred to as Canons. The one canon per person rule has been lifted, though Organization XIII and Dark XII members are still limited to one per person. This means no having one of each.
On a lesser note, the password for character registry has been removed for convenience's sake.
As part of a continuing project, the Canon, Dark XII, and Organization XIII taken character lists are now up to date. Please refer to them before applying for a non-original character. If you have one such character, please make sure the information on the list is correct. If it is not, send a message to myself or Serif.
Thank you all for keeping this site wonderful in the midst of this revitalization. I've said it once and I'll say it some more times after this: There's not a site online that can match the community we've fostered here in World Destiny.
NINE HUNDRED NINETY NINTH POST. DON'T YOU JUST FEEL SPECIAL? *shot*
On a more serious note. I'm rather pleased with this update. Especially when having to have had move several different 'world' characters from the 'canon' forum that is now the main place to be putting all pre-existing characters that exist in either the Final Fantasy or Disney canons.
Ok, so, you said that the one canon limit was removed, but the Org XIII/Dark XII one per RP'er is still there. That doesn't apply for other canons like, say, Donald, or Kairi, or other non-Dark XII/Org XIII "canons" does it?

So nooow some people have a load full of canons, since some were worlds. O.o''
I'm also wondering why those who would be deemed world characters (as in non-kh-canons but are familiar to either ff or disney) are now canons. I would only see that a problem if there still a canon limit that isn't one.
If so...I'm already 3 canons deep with Elaeus, Jadis, and Minnie...although Jadis wouldn't teeechnically be a canon, a kh canon.
In short, I can sense a screw-over since there isn't a definite limit on Canon or character overall, just yet. I wanted to pick up another canon...thinking I had initially had 1 Canon, 2 worlds, and 1 OC, but with this new ruling I would have 4 canons and 1 OC. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think a better interpretation is that all characters that appeared in KH are canons. Disney and FF characters that are non-kh are World Characters, and originals are OC.
Since canons may still have a limit, there should be a significant reason why there's a limit such as importance to the KH universe by their presence in the worlds we have displayed. I doubt one would want to be hesistant in playing their favorite disney character, because here they're dubbed as canons.
That way people don't have to worry TOO much in possibly having too many canons...depending on the limit, which would be depicted on the overall character limit.
Before, there was a one canon per person limit. This meant no one could take both Pete and Yen Sid, Sora and Maleficent, etc. With the merger, this is now defunct. You may take as many canon characters as you have character spaces.
The exception to this is members of the XII and XIII. You can have one total of the combined 25. No taking Demyx and Saix, no taking Demyx and Isa, and no taking Myde and Isa. This rule has always been in place, and will stay as such.
So, for example, I could now have Sora, Maleficent, Zexion, and Mickey Mouse? Besides the fact that the battles would be wierd, that's the way it would work, right?
To Clarify Sephiroth's Clarification: You can take all the Cannons (Non-completely-created-out-of-the-depths-of-your-twisted-little-mind) that you want. You can take all the Original Characters that you want. The only limit is your character limit. Currently 4, this may change very soon. Not 4 Cannons and 4 Original Characters. Just 4. For you math Geeks........ Cannon + Original ≤ 4
Yes you can have "Sora, Maleficent, Zexion, and Mickey Mouse," but then you would be a stinky meanyface character hog. And people would hate you.
A good rule of thumb is to take characters that will never interact with each other, because playing with yourself is, IMHO, boring. That's just fan-fiction, not cooperative storytelling.

This is actually a remarkably well-put statement. The only issue is that Mickey Mouse is reserved for staff use.
Er... probably because since he is such an important character to the plot, and his actions are usually life-changing.
And I didn't mean I wanted to be those characters, but I was only using them as an example. I don't think I could handle such important characters, anyways...
Well, the way it was explainable to me, he's crazy overpowered, and extremely important, and can't be trusted in many-a-people's hands...that's why it is extremely[/b] selective who RP's him...which is why he's just RP'able by staff...and only when that staff has been approved.
