In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

Not sure if this has been answered at any other place, but I figured I would ask this.
I was told that if you had a "world" character (As in a character who's world currently exists on this site), it would have to remain on this world unless some plot development gets it off the worlds. Does that still exist, or can they pretty much come and go as they please with the disruption that would probably come from Organization XIII and the Dark XII? Just want to get this clarified.
I've been told that it depends on the character, and whether they were able to move around in the games, and also whether it just makes sense. Maleficent, for instance, would be able to use the Corridors of Darkness to go wherever she pleased, and we have ample in-game examples of her doing so. I think someone like Kovu, on the other hand, would generally be considered as bound to his world.
Amatsu sums it up well. Here's my general policy on it:
1. Characters whose worlds are destroyed can move between worlds. This includes Radiant Garden and Traverse Town Canons, as well as most of the FF worlds and several Disney. 2. Disney Castle characters can move between worlds. 3. Characters who can use dark portals can use them to travel between worlds.
4. All others need a good reason to be in another world. We once had a Peter Pan who had gone too far from the ship and ended up on Garden. We've also had Canon characters from various worlds come to others for special events. These usually take place in Garden or Traverse. With very little exception, they can't use gummi ships.
Another way of thinking of it is like this. Every world has its story. If you are bound to that world's story (You were born there, etc.), odds are you shouldn't leave.
