In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Bored as the dickens, Coffee walked with a displeased aura causing others to flow away from her like fleeing fish from a shark. Traverse Town has been gnawing on her flesh like tics and flees, and the counter for the meltdown had already began to tick. Yet the viera kept herself occupied at the moogle shop to see what she could get for the unneccessary and uneventful hunts she's been doing. The Heartless here were easy game, so it wasn't surprising that the addition of all of her bounty was hardly worth anything to her. This was a shilling of what she could earn in Ivalice for taking down a wyrm.
A low growl vibrated in her throat, but the moogles merely chatted in their languange concluding that was all she would get. A clawed hand raked over the munny and scratched the wooden countertop before turning on her heels leaving. Even outside the door, she could hear the angry mutterings of the pom pom boppers.
Once stepping out she was hit with the nauseating smell of humes. She had gotten acquainted with it, but being around masses of humes for a long period of times was making her nose itch to sneeze. Typically Coffee was a vagabond and roamed from one place to another, and generally she would leave before she can tire of the place; she was beyond tired of Traverse Town.
Maya's only reation to the moggle's talking was an annoyed twitch in her ears as they spoke among themselves, wishing they would get back to her faster. Finally, one of them floated over to her and said, "The best we can get you is this, kupo," as it held out a small pouch of munny. The viera resisted the urge to flick it's pom pom as she took the bag, looking out the window. As she did so, she noticed a familiar person, and went out of the building, jumping to the roftops. She tagged Coffee for a moment, then said in a low voice, "Coffee, up here." She knew that the other viera would hear her, and stopped.

At the second syllable of her name, a tall white ear turned behind her with flexible ease. It twitched in acknowledgment knowing the voice's owner; she halted for a moment before uttering, "Are you coming down or must I come up?"
She turned her head to look at the kit from above as she tucked the meek collection of money in her bust; she then dug deeper for a bag of caramel and popped the delectable square in her mouth. It tend to sooth her during such irritations. She wonder with the munny she got could she have her Esmeralda upgraded. Removing the halberd from her back, she gazed it; it had sentimental values and was resourceful. No worthless moogle would have their grimmy paws all over her halberd; she rather trust the moogles in Ivalice atlest she knew their reputation.
With a tilting nod of her head, gesturing the runt to come along, Coffee continued her 'shopping spree'. She could make a pit stop for some accessories; ever since she had stopped in this world, the huntress hadn't indulged herself to see if their products were resourceful. Knowing the kit could easily find her, she walked on to a booth analyzing the bracelts. Her green painted claws picked one up. "Hm? Getting acquainted with this world runt?"
Maya, understanding the other viera's nod, jumped down and stood next to her, looking at the bracelets. "A little bit. Yet I must say, their prices are rather ridiculous around here." She held up her munny bag, which was 3/4 of the way full, and sighed. "At least Ivalice had work taht didn't involve taking out the smelly shadows." She picked up a bracelet, looking at the sparkly green gemstones embedded in it, then looked at the price. With a small shake of her head, she set it down and hooked her munny bag back to her belt.
"Judging by the fact you're shopping, I assume you're travelling somewhere. Well, I'm rather sick of this world already." She wrinkled her nose at another overpriced trinket, then looked at another stall. "I'll be over there for a little bit." she said, noticing that the stand sold rings and earrings. She looked at them for a second, then chose a small onyx ring that actually had a fair price. She handed over a small handful of munny, then slipped the ring on, satisfied that it fit.

The viera chuckled; it seemed the young viera had a short fused of her own. Humor still giggled in her voice as she glanced at Maya amused, "Oh how can you be so tired of it? You practically just got here."
She found a bracelet that acts as a strength buff. A brow quirked wondering if Creme would even want it. The only way to please that one was to give her gummi parts, and she seemed to over analyze anything else disecting it until it was a worthless pile of matter. Also she rather not have the viera read and question her generous nature. With a snort, she dropped the items back down with lack of interest.
With Creme not being a materialistic individual as well as her own skills was unique, Coffee couldn't find anything that would be suitable for her, since they were planning to depart. Lacking a sense of guidance in her decision, the elder stalked behind the youth and peered over her shoulder, "Hmm...an onyx ring?"
She lifted her hand to look at the ring, "Mmm I'm assuming it helps repel the black mist. That may proove to be useful....what in the worlds..."
Her eyes casted down to Maya's fingers. They were slim and sleek yet harmless. She looked up at the kit as if she was a kitten who suffered a surgey of being declawed. Where the hell were they? It was a natural thing for Vieras to take good care of them, since they were means of defense and offenses. A brow cocked at the kit accussingly wanting answers. "Did you chewed them?"
Damn. Maya hoped this moment would have come sooner, seeings that she was insecure about her hands. She blushed and hung her head, hiding her face from the other viera. "I...just guess I didn't have a use for them. They've been gone for quite some time." Instead, she turned away and, with a little sob, started running. She didn't know where she was going, but knew she needed to get there--fast.
It's not my fault they're gone! Why does everybody have to judge me like this!
As she burst into her hotel room, her eyes clouded over with opaque black and she fell to her knees, holding her head. NOT MY FAULT!
With that final thought, her Mist surrounded her body. And, out of nowhere, Heartless appeared, attracted to the dark scent of her mist.
Four Shadows Five Soldiers Two Neoshadows

With a snarl, Maya stood, her mind ready to rip apart anything near. Staff aside, she stood, waiting.

Marroon eyes watched the youth in a calculating stare reading her expression and looking into her as she remained silent too long. For someone reason, the viera felt something off, and the connection broke when Maya looked away. What was going through the runt's head, and why haven't she answered her; her voice came out firmly and authoritive, "Kit."
Hearing the answer, she merely hummed, but Coffee didn't feel relaxed; the runt's body laungage was making her uneasy. She turned away from her, and Coffee's nose twitched picking up a salty flavor, and Maya was off. Is she...crying...
The huntress watched her run from her confused, and her brows wrinkled in a frown. Her eyes rolled with a low growl in her throat as she somehow magically snapped the sensitivity of a child. It seemed her shopping would have to be placed on halt; Coffee dropped off some munny and collected a pair of onyx ring before hunting down Maya.
She didn't have to run after her to keep up; her nose just tracked the scent of tears and Maya, but once the viera ran out of sight her fast paced walked turned into a jog before she started jumping buildings. Where the hell is she going?
Her eyes narrowed at the Second District. With the trail her nose etched out, she guessed for herself. The brash viera kicked the doors to the hotel opened storming through heading towards the hotel room. "Runt, what in the-"
The door opened to a heartless orgie scampering to feast. Her nose flared picking up the stench of Mist. Why was this still clinging on the kit was beyond her, but it had attracted unwanted...yet weak company. She really didnt' feel like playing with heartless after smelling the kit crying. Her fingers twitched in agitation, but she did nothing. She will let the kit handle it. Why she made that decision was beyond her, but the huntress merely leaned against the wall and watched.
A trio of heartless spun on their toes with their redclaws stretched out ready to attack her flesh and expose the youth's heart, while the shadows crept on the floor like spiders manuevering to attack from behind. The Neoshadows' attennas twitched sensing an accompanying heart. Yellow bulbous eyes met marroon, and they recieved a growl as an invitation.
The young viera's hands flexed as a moderate amount of rock ripped from the road outside and floated in through the (open) window. Her magic caused it to form around her hands, forming a weapon of sorts. (And, in a twist of irony, a set of claws.) Without realizing it, two Soldiers were impaled through the chests and one Shadow had been scattered into darkness. But she looked in annoyance as the other Shadows hid in the ground, and instead she went after the last Soldier.
Where did the damn thing go?
After that thought, a sharp pain went across her back, and she snarled while pivoting, a stream of blood coming from the exposed part of her flesh. With a laugh as the Soldier got out of range, she pointed a hand and launched the stone claws at the Heartless, grabbing it by the head and crushing in where it's skull would be. Then she turned to the Neoshadows, who were watching...
An almost sadistic look came over Maya's face, and as she called her "claws" back to her, she let out a maniacal chuckle.

Coffee's face was blank of expression and hardly paid attention to the Neoshadows. She watched as the heartless fell one by one, but as the youth focused on a soldiers scurried around her. With her attention on the Neo-Shadows, the black ants lept up with slashing claws. With the scent of blood filling the room, Coffee made a memo to treat it when this is over.
Seeing the oppurtunity, The Neoshadows jumped up and spun like frisbees. Their jagged antennas fluttered behind them as their limbs became a whiping slashing weaponry. Coffee watched the kit's 'enjoyment' if one would call it that. It was quite animalistic and so unattracting and not Maya; it was too devious and murderous for the viera to wear genuinely.
As Maya dodged the Neoshadows' attacks, her true self managed to break through, and the scent of Mist was suddenly gone, replaced with one of earth. With a gasp, she staggered back, but held a hand out as a Neoshadow spun at her. She was surprised to see it hold it's head, then disappear in blackness. Looking at her claws, confused, she saw more spikes emerging from the palm of it. She did sense a small flow of earth magic, but had unintentionally cast the spell. Then, standing up, she looked at the other Neoshadow, which had seen it's partner fall.
Once again, her vision clouded, but she heard a voice -her voice- say "Shoo." When her vision returned, she smiled, then let out a small cry, the pain of her gash finally hitting her.

Seeing that it had prolonged far enough, Coffee slashed the remaining Neo Shadow with her claws once stepping forward towards the kit. Her gaze her hard, yet blank. Carrying Esmeralda, she left the halberd against the wall before putting her full attention on the kit. Her clawed hand gripped the youth's face observing it; the hand descened down grasping her shoulders to turn her around lacking the sense of gentleness.
Her eyes drifted down the viera's back to caculate the wound. It was an easy fix, but it still needed to be tended to before it could get infected. Luckily she had salve and was in the hotel; the huntress won't have to be primitive in licking it clean. Any other time that would be an enjoyable time, but this was different for a handful of reasons. Instead of answering the kit, she ignored her with her set mission in motion; the only sound breaking the silence where her clicking heels as she head to the bathroom and opened and rummaged through the medicine cabinet.
Returning a frown was on her face. The only sort of bandaging the hotel offered weren't so adequate and cheap, but it would do for now. Going into her "victoria secret compartment", she grabbed a vial and sat on the plush green bed.
"Lay on your stomach," she truly wasn't in the mood for objections, because if the kit refuses the other would be forceful. "Why do you cry runt? I ask you a simple question, and you cry. Why?"
Maya nodded and laid down on the bed, wincing as Coffee asked those fateful questions. "How would you feel if you were the only of your group of viera to be like this? I was chased out by most viera I was around, so I feel insecure about my...absnece of claws."
As she finished, she relaxed her body, barely noticing that the other viera was cleaning her wound. Finally, she said, "Sorry for causing such a problem. It was a little...childish. But, just out of curiosity, how did I get this scar and where did these come from?" She held up the earthen claws as she asked, looking at Coffee with wide eyes.
((Sorry for shortness, but it's the best I've got right now.))

Untwisted the vial, the viera dipped her fingers into it as the smell of mossed coated trees after a fresh rain filled her nose. The cool salve was pressed firmly into the cut and rubbed down covering it. Her ears flattened against her head as the kit answered her question with a question, "I wouldn't know..."
The viera had other problems far more troublesome than a mere birth defect. Actually it sounded off for others to react that way, then again vieras' behavior can differ upon locations. They probably saw the runt as an inferior abmoniation or a curse to the whole.
Seeing how this was a sensitive subject for the kit, the huntress try to think of to express sensitivity towards her; sympathy or being empathetic wasn't a glorified skill of the viera. Not many or hardly anyone can catch Coffee being affectionate; truthfully the only living person to may have experience it was mostly too focused to even notice, "Also I merely asked what happened to them; sure if you told me you were a nibbler, yes I wouldn't be pleased. It's a neccessary attribute of survival at times, but knowing that you have no control over what happened to them...you can't and won't be ridiculed...not by me."
Actually that was partially why she hadn't stepped in with the heartless; she wanted to see how the kit could fend off without them. Mist can affect a viera effectively by demeaning them to their primal state loosing grasp of what they learned like swordmanship; instead it awaken centuries old instincts. If the kit had prooved difficulty to defend herself even in such state, the huntress would've bought iron attachable strapped claws for her, but that was unneccessary. Even with the mist taking control, she could still tap into the element of earth.
Grabbing the bandage, the viera began wrapping it around the kit's body. Her hand wiggled underneath her stomach to wrap it tightly. Hearing the question, Coffee looked at the kit; her hands stilled on the youth's soft skin, while a brow quirked, "You don't recall? You dropped your guard perhaps too confidence by mist that one managed to best you from behind. As for your claws, look at them, and you tell me."
Once the bandage was on, Maya jumped up and looked at the claws on her hands, turning them back and forth. "Actually...I rather like these. However, rock won't hold forever." He then turned to Coffee and smiled at her, wrapping her in an embrace and saying, "Thank you, Coffee. Knowing that you won't judge me is great."
Then, suddenly thinking of something, she rushed to her room and pulled a drawer open. With a tug on the string, it opened and a good number of blue crystals fell out. She scooped them up, calling to Coffee,
"Is it possible I can use these to make some claws?"

(XD you know you like it)
The rock won't last forever, "Perhaps I should go-"
The huntress stiffened feeling engulfed as the runt hugged her. A hand reached up to pat her bundle of white hair. And with a ding of a lightbulb, the kit was away from her, and the huntress exhaled slowly once she got some space.
Getting comfortable, Coffee lifted up a leg to rest on the bed watching the young speciman, who was like a bundle of emotions bouncing from here to there. Her ears perked and turned hearing the runt and hummed in reply, "You can put those moogles to work with them."
