Struggle Preliminaries: Renzo vs. V (W: V)

Renzo took a calm breath and looked at the girl. "Offense leads to anger.... I try to control myself..... but if you insist," he said scowling at his combatant with battle fury. If the girl wanted him to go offensive he would. "Prepare," he said quietly not sure if the girl could hear him. He raised his struggle bat and got ready to do some offensive moves.

Renzo jumped into the air and at the girl using his body weight to cause greater damage, but during this he wondered is it right to fight a child and before he could land on the girl he urged himself to the right. Now that Renzo thought about it he was a grown Ronso fighting a girl probably in her teens that is awkward. But this thought allowed him to stifle out a small laugh. "If only you could have thought what I did," he told her.

Wait but then it hit him if this was a real life thing well technically it was but if it was life or death he would probably fight the girl and why do they only have foam swords they really need to make there struggle arsenal larger. So would he attack the little girl. Yes he would and with that he swung his bat at the girl.

V stepped to the side, as Renzo swung his bat at her. However, she was a tad slow, for before she could completely get out of his way, her opponent had managed to hit her lightly on the side making her drop three orbs. V's eye's widened, 'not good!' she shouted in her head, she quickly picked up two of them, leaving one orb before jumping back so to gain some disatance between the blue being and her. "Oh no..." she said sadly, "There's another lone orb again."

A look of sadness washed over her face then, and looking up at Renzo sighed. But she couldn't stop there, she had to keep fighting. She couldn't afford to let herself get distracted. Thinking this, she shook her head, and regaining her confident look dashed towards her opponent. She then jumped in the air, and doing a front flip lowered her bat towards Renzo's shoulder. She managed to hit it, but before she could get excited she soon faced a serious problem...landing. She was literally gonna fall right on top of the blue being. Panicking, V tried to somehow turn her body so that she wouldn't hit Renzo, but it was already too late. She hit him, but luckily did not take him down with her. Instead, she hit his right shoulder, and feeling as if she had just ramed right into a wall fell to the ground.

At first V just sat there with a blank look on her face, but then pulling herself togeather looked up at Renzo. Instantly the first thing she said was, "I'm sorry! That wasn't suppose to happen um..." She looked around, something was different now, for some reason she couldn't feel anything in her...V's eye's widened. She looked to the right to see her bat lying on the ground. She rolled to the side, and jumping at bat picked it up, doing a somersault before turning around to face her opponent again. Except now her face was red with embarrassment, 'Awww man...' she thought to herself, 'and just when I thought I had something going on there...oh we'll.' She sighed. "I'm sorry!" she said once again, before taking a defensive position, and waiting for her opponents response stayed quiet.

As Renzo's bat hit the girl, three orbs fell out of her. He managed to scoop up one of them but, the girl had already scooped up the other two. He listened to the girl for a second "There's another lone orb." Renzo could only scratch his head at that sure he had said the lone orbs before were sad but now the girl was saying it he would contimplate this later. He looked down at the ground wondering what to do next but then as he lifted his head up he was suprised at what he saw.

The girl lunged at him he didn't have time to block the girl but then something even more suprising happened the girl fumbled through the air and hit Renzo. It didn't affect him much he had been hit by much worse than a girl in her teens but he could only blink as he watched her fell on the ground. "I'm sorry" What a wierd thing to say why would you be sorry for hitting an opponent maybe it's because she didn't mean to tumble into him never the less Renzo couldn't let this distract him.

Renzo looked at the girl again was her face red. Humans did have that happen to them sometimes but now in the midst of a fight. "I'm sorry!" she was appologizing again. Renzo had never fought an opponent like this but he still couldn't let himself get distracted. He looked at the girl and saw she was in more of a defensive stance now. He raised his bat and jumped from left to right and finally when he was close enough he jumped up and swung his bat downwards at the girl.

V tried her best to block Renzo's attacks, however as his bat met with her's the poor girl wasn't able to stand her ground and ended up falling to her knee. At that moment only one thought entered her mind, her strength was dwindling now. She suddenly became frusturated with herself, 'Not now!' she shouted mentally, as she tried to push the blue being away. 'I can't give up now...I can't!' At this point a look of panick filled her eye's as the girl tried to think of a way out of the situation she was in. 'I just need to concentrate...' V thought, trying to calm her mind. 'I know I have more strength locked up within me...I just need to find it...now let's see...'

V then closed her eye's still trying to hold back Renzo's bat. As she did, images in her head started to appear. Images of friends, just why did she enter this tournament? She thought about, 'I joined...' she thought, still seeing images in her head. 'So that I could prove to myself...prove to me and to everyone else that I could be just like them. Strong, and not afraid to fight. I entered so that...I could show...that I didn't need to be protected!' At that point, a sudden burst of energy entered throughout the girls body, she pushed her opponent back, and without giving him anytime to block attacked him in numerous areas of his upper body.

Orbs fell to the ground, and as V saw them she instantly dashed towards the sides. Trying to pick them up. However, she only got a few, for as she zig-sagged right and left, the girl could feel herself begin to grow tired. She stopped, and trying to catch her breath collected one more orb before looking back up at Renzo. 'I don't think, I can keep this up for much longer.' She thought panting heavily, if only she had the endurance of Shira she wouldn't be so out of breath, but she did so for now, she just had to make do with the strength she had. Question was, was it enough to clear out this round?

Renzo pressed his bat against the girls. He was amazed such a frail being could hold so much strength. He looked down at the girl and was surprised at what he saw. The girl closed her eyes and was still fighting. He blinked again only have himself pushed back. He saw his orbs fall to the ground and his eyes widened. "No," He rushed forward on all fours to pick as many as he could before the girl could pick them up. He only managed to grab a few but it was still better than none.

Renzo looked at the girl all confused now. He was really surprised now even more than before that she could have had that much power. Never judge a book by it's cover, he told himself and from that point on he wouldn't. He wondered how much time was left but he would need to make a comeback now. He jumped back and then rushed forward again in hopes of tiring out the girl and hopefully getting out more orbs.

V raised her bat, as she saw Renzo dash towards her again. She did her best to block his attack, but once their bats met, the girl instantly flew backwards, her body collapsing onto the ground before doing a series of rolls. She cringed at the enormous amount of pain that she felt. However, that didn't stop her. She moved her arms to the side of her head, and pushing downwards on the ground forced herself to get up. Her upper body rose, and after slowly raising on her feet, so did the lower part of her body.

She held up the bat, and waiting for her opponents next attack. Just kept those thoughts from earlier in her head. 'Dont give up.' it said, encouraging her. V nodded, "right..." she murmured solemny. "I still have something to prove..." At this the girl then looked up at Renzo, her entire body relaxed however, she couldn't help but notice that it was difficult to breath now. But no matter, she had to concentrate and stay in the game. She smiled, and getting into a defensive stance, waited.

Once Renzo's bat hit the girls another thing that he didn't expect happened; the girl flew right back. He didn't think he hit her that hard but he couldn't be to sure. He watched the girl get up after he made her fly back. The sight was a bit painful for it must have not felt good falling back like that and then raising yourself back up. He took a few steps back to let the girl get up easier. Why? Well he didn't even know.

Renzo wondered, was he even winning if only there was some form of orb tracker in this fighting sport. He walked up to the girl raising his bat again but then lowered his bat. Maybe he could learn battle edicate from this girl. "Sorry...... for before.... and for now," he told the girl before raising up his bat again and once again striking at the girl.

V was surprised by her opponents apology, 'Sorry? For what?' she wondered, however she never got the chance to ask. For Renzo had already struck at her again, she blocked however her reaction was a bit too slow. The edge of her opponents bat, hit the girl on the shoulder. Her eye's widened, 'oh no!' she shouted mentally, as she dashed towards the orbs that fell, picking up a few of them. She then turned towards Renzo, and without thinking up any plan just dashed towards the blue being. At this point, the girl had barely enough energy to raise her bat, however, that didn't matter. She lunged towards her opponent, and closing her eye's, hit him gently on his right side. She then didn't take a moment to hesitate. She ran from Renzo, and slowly running around picked up some of the orbs. However, she soon had to stop there. She panted heavily, beads of sweat now appearing on the top of her forehead. She tried to stand on her feet, but her legs were shaking so bad she had no choice but to kneel down. She tried to take in deep breaths, but for some reason it felt like the air was just not going through to her lungs. She looked up at her opponent, at this moment she was about wide open for an attack. But she didn't care, cause she knew that this was the limit of her strength, and she would just have to deal with that. She got up from where she knelt, her legs still shaking like a leaf, and lifting up her bat despite the pain waited for her opponents next attack.
