In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Synthest stretched, bat in hand, awaiting his enemy. He didn't really have much to say, and he wasn't all that big on amazingly sweet opening posts, so he just waited for his opponent to make his own entrance.
The blue-eyed flame wielder sat patiently in a corner, wondering how many times he could break the fourth wall in this thread.
The final round was here. After many battles, this last one would determine if he would make it into the next round. Well, that added some pressure onto him. Oh well, if he wouldn’t make it, he wouldn’t make it. V was in the competition, and Shiro believed she could take on her opponents. Besides, he’d have just as much fun sitting in the background, cheering for his love, as he would making it to the top. So it was really a win-win situation. But he’d try his best to stay in. He could honestly say he was good with a sword so he tried to think that the odds were in his favor, just to think positive. But a part of him did know that his future opponents’ skill in sword fighting would be equivalent or maybe even higher. Oh well, he’d just try his best to ignore that thought and continue to think positive. Thinking positive might make the situation have a positive ending, right?
After his opponent’s name was announced, he had to chuckle. His name seemed to stand out over the names with last names. That thought made him wonder about what his real name was. But he dismissed the thought knowing that it was time for the battle. Stepping into the arena, he grabbed a struggle bat and gave his opponent a smirk. ”Good luck to ya,” he told his opponent, Synthest Oriannu. And then with that, his eyes examined his opponent. He didn’t seem like a happy camper, did he? And then, before the battle officially started, he gave his opponent one last smirk before it would turn into a serious expression, ”Let’s end the preliminary rounds with a big bang, shall we?” Turning his head a bit, he looked to see if he could spot V. But sadly, he knew looking for his love wasn’t the best thing to do at the moment. He was in a struggle match, was he not?
So returning his attention back towards his opponent, he waited for Synthest to make the first move. He wasn’t one to be the attacker. He honestly preferred to be in defense than offense. He felt better when in a defensive position, since he’d be ready for an attack from his opponent. But, if his opponent decided he wanted to take defense, he wouldn’t waste his time fighting over defense. He’d just try his best at offense. Getting into a defensive stance, he waited for his opponent to either attack him or give him the first move. Either one would work for him. Shiro wasn’t picky.

Hmm. This Shiro guy sure was bright. Synthest stood up, stretched, and blinked a few times before he readied himself for combat. He brushed hair out of his eyes, dropping his jacket to the side. "You know, the nice part about being a pessimist is that you are constantly being either proven right or pleasantly surprised," he boasted, holding his bat out. A change had hit the teenager, it was easy to see. His eyes gleamed and a mischeivous smile had made his features far warmer. Slight heat radiated from his skin, and in his right arm, metal veins that created the cast over his bone lit up white with heat. "Prove me right, or surprise me. Either way, this will be fun."
Whistles and catcalls surrounded them, and a slight wind threw the sounds into a whirlwind. It wasn't too cold, another reason Syn loved visiting here, so he wouldn't be held back by that. His blue eyes examined the square and his positioning, and he gripped the bat slightly harder. It was unfortunate that he would have to show so much of a tail, but these swords were not customized for the fighters, and they wouldn't work as well as his own blade. It seemed as though strength and speed would be the winning factors, leaving stealth out completely.
That was alright, he supposed.
He strafed right, in a semi-circle, watching his opponent. He stayed away from the corners of the arena and strafed between the center and the outside, his weapon at ready. He held no strict stance, but moved purposefully, his eyes on his enemy's chest. Attacking first could be good or bad, depending on the opponent. Syn often did so, but he didn't want this guy to stay in his comfort zone. First thing first? Get him uncomfortable, then he'd win it.
So... Synthest moved slowly closer, looking for an opening.
(Oh crap, it's been more than a week. Hope you can forgive me I, at the moment, don't have the time to make an rp post. But I will make sure to fill this in by the end of the day)
