In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

A meal? Well now! If only he could find a kitchen!
The redhead smirked at the thought, returning a glance to Alias as he did so. "I'll hold you to it." And in all honesty, once he could find a kitchen, he'd fully planned to.
But for now, they had another destination in mind. And, they'd arrived. The shop was nothing more than a hole in the wall: a little counter was carved out of the building side. Displayed a few feet behind the permanent kiosk was a vast menu, exhibiting the hundreds of dairy treats one could try. All of them weren't too expensive, and for the quality, it was well worth it.
As he leaned over the counter, Nobody silently waited for the adorably naive kid to order, his mind again flashing back to his blonde best friend.
"Roxas, all right! Fight, fight, FIGHT!"
"We're... best friends. Right?"
"No one would miss me."
While there was little closure as to what had become of his best friend, Roxas was safe now, archived in Axel's sweet memories.

Alias smiled as Axel as they walked and said "Hehe alright.". Once they entered the small place he looked at the menu, but felt that was useless, he ususally picked what he wanted by sight, so he looked at the treatts they had displayed, and got a blue popcicle that they called 'sea salt ice cream'. He gave the moogle behind the counter some Munny, then turned to Axel "What would you li-" HE stopped short, it looked to him as if Axel was thinking of somethng, GE gently reached out and touched Axel's upper arm and said "Are you alright Axel?" He asked softly
The grasp on his arm had rather surprised him, jerking his mind from reverie to reality with nothing more than a simple touch. And his jade green eyes met a curious Alias once again. He took note of the fact that the boy had gotten what they came for, and gave a single nod. "Yeah. Just thinking about an old friend..."
But was he really all right? Well, he was sure to keep that answer to himself.
And, he pushed off of the counter, he stood upright, motioning for his new buddy for follow him again. "Come on, I'll show you the town." Perhaps Alias would come to like this place just as much as he did.

Alias smiled and nodded softly and began following Axel, taking a bite of his popcicle. He then began to wonder which friend of his could make him have a look like that on his face so he asked. "Which friend were you thinking of? He must mean alot to you" he said even taking a guess at the friends gender.
The redhead continued his easy, slow stride. "Roxas." It was said that there was power in a name, and it was true. The memories had come flooding back into his mind at the thought of his blonde friend.
He shifted his attention from the confines of his mind to Alias. "I doubt you'd know him." It may have been a small universe, with everyone knowing everyone else, but somehow, it still seemed big enough for Roxas to remain lost to its reaches... Or so it had seemed to the Flurry.
He decided to take the conversation elsewhere, not really in the mood to be pulled down again. "What's your best friend like?" He was going out on a limb here, assuming that Alias had a best friend. But really, who didn't have one?
Post by jorgewaggoner on Jun 9, 2011 0:30:24 GMT -4
The question made Alias stop and think. Did he have a best friend? It was hard enough to make friends with his inconstant travel arrangements, and the friends he did have, well he didn't know if any of them thought of him as a best friend. "I dunno..." He said softly looking at Axel "I haven't met many people, I guess I would have to say you, most of the other people I know, I haven't know for very long, or don't feel close enough to call them my 'best' friend, but I feel pretty comfortable around you..." He said softly.
A thin, red brow quirked at Alias' curious reply. So then, they'd hardly met, had a grand total of perhaps eight minutes to get to know each other, and already Axel was Alias' best friend? That was most certainly an unexpected response.
But, the Flurry allowed this peculiarity to roll of his back, and decided to continue with the tour. "That Tram will take you around the main drag," his finger indicated the direction of the subject previously described. And, within a few seconds, he was on the move again.
A few seconds, and they'd walked through a large box-like building, the center of which seemed to be removed to make way for the ever-cycling Tram. "Down that road will take you to a renowned corner of the world: the Sandlot." He smirked at his own sarcastic verbage, and again, continued forward.
"Oh! I know something you might like! Follow me!" A little more speed jumped into his step as he neared the edge of the Town. A large brick wall designated the boundaries of the humble area, and a large hole had been smashed right through the side of it.

Alias nodded softly as Axel spoke of the trams, he kept a steady pace, but once Axel began to run, he ran after him quickly, curious as to what he wanted to show him. Once he saw the wall, he was a little sad that they might stop, but when he saw the hole, he became extremely curious. "Where does that go?" He asked, as he came closer to Axel.
(OOC: Found a time to post at a Library during my trip to Iowa to see my Grandmother. ;3 Enjoy.)
Effortlessly slithering through the break in the town's wall, the Nobody's face was delightfully content, tainted ever so slightly with impish resolve. His stare was sure to meet Alias's with a certain, knowing edge. "It leads to the Town's dark secret."
This was the only answer that Alias would get. It was eerie. Mysterious, of course. But it was all the information that the Nobody would divulge for the present.
And as soon as Alias would come through, the ginger would stroll into the large, overgrown forest beyond the wall. It was a maze of leaves and branches; a labyrinth Axel had embedded in his memory.
To onlookers who were unaware of what was beyond this dense myriad of trees, his actions might seem ludicrous.

Alias ran after Axel, keeping up with him rather well. "Aww, come on Axel, tell me where were going." He said with a smiled and a slight giggle. As he followed Axel he couldn't help but wonder what could possibly be in this forest that needed to be kept so far away from the town.

It didn't take long for the forest's dense vegetation to thin out and reveal a small plot of grass and dirt. The grass didn't stretch beyond twenty feet before halting in front of a large brick wall. Leafy green vines crawled up the sides, plastering themselves to the wall like a corrosive glue, out from under which one could identify the peach color of the bricks, giving it a resemblance to the rest of the town.
A fancy cast iron gate barred their entry beyond this point, but through it one could see the dated mansion this wall stood guard over. And, staring into the top window, one could identify a white curtain, billowing in the gentle breeze of the open second-story window.
Axel stood just to the right of the smaller male, mischief flickering across those deep jade eyes. This tour was going to be something that Alias would never forget. "They say that this place is haunted," he coolly commented, approaching the closed gate. One leather-gloved hand perched on the cold iron bars, and he tossed a glance behind him, a gleam of impish intent curling at the corners of his mouth. "Want to have a look inside?"
Truth be told, he had never been beyond the gate. The last time he was here, it was to take care of a Traitor, and once the mission was completed, he had reported back to the Superior to toot the horn of his loyalty. And ever since then, he'd been curious about what was beyond the gate... beyond the door.
What might lay inside an antique mansion such as this one? What stories might it have to tell?

Alias' eyes gleamed when he saw the mansion, he looked over it, taking in every detail that he could. When he heard his friend say that this place was haunted, and then ask him to go in, he couldn't help but to smile. "I would love to...I've always been interested in spirits..." He said softly, letting his hand trail up and touch the some in his pendant. He then looked at Axel "So... Should we jump the fence, or bust it down?" He said with a chuckle, knowing that they would climb it, unless Axel could open the gate.
The Nobody smirked back at the young acquaintance before him, whom he couldn't help but feel as though he were corrupting. . . Albeit he didn't feel a shred of guilt for it. And that shouldn't have been surprising, as everyone knew Nobodies couldn't really feel at all.
The Jester took a few handfuls of the vines that grew up the side of the tawny wall, and shimmied up the sides of the brick surface rather fluidly. Once at the top, he offered his hand to the sheep he was leading astray. "For stuff like this, it's better if we don't leave evidence of our stay." The lithe redhead had a certain spark about his demeanor: he loved toying with danger and that which was forbidden, it was woven into the threads of his nature.
And he could sense that they were walking into the maw of the abnormal, but just what awaited them on the other side of those twisted iron gates had yet to be revealed.

Alias smiled and after Axel had Climbed Alias ran up the wall, defying gravity and jumping into the other side, landing on the ground with a bit of a slide as his gravity went back to normal and he stood. "Good Idea Axel" He said smiling at the red head, and then looked at the Yard around the mansion, he felt a small tingle, something a bit off, but he didn't mind it, as long as he was with his friend.
