In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

An emerald haired Heartless mused over this to himself as he sat on a bench in the middle of Twilight Town market street. It was a hot day, he was wearing a simple black tank top and white shorts, blending in with the rest of the crowd that was slowly dissipating because the heat. Seed wasn't helping any with the weather, he was using his fire magic to warm up the air around him to shoo away the humans. He had originally arrived here alone but he forgot it was summer time here and that meant shopping...shopping...and more shopping.
And, from no means his own accord, an illusionary Seed was sitting next to him. The real one turned his head wearily at it and rolled his eyes, his head was going to hurt after this he could already tell.
"So...why we sittin here being all gloomy and what not?" the fake Seed snorted as he took the same stance the real was doing. The fake was eying the original wanting an answer right away. Now the real Seed knew this was his heads way of sorting out ideas but it still bugged him.
"I'm waiting to see Leiz again...if you must know." the real emerald Heartless sighed at the fake. Anyone watching would either be confused or frightened; depended on how well they knew the story of Seed. Several people saw this and hastened their walk to get away. He didn't blame them.
"Oh right right right. Our little lover boy has got a boyfriend now doesn't he?" now the fake Seed raised his voice to make sure to make it known to the surrounding area Seed had a boyfriend now and everyone just stopped and looked at the emerald Heartless. A few chuckled and few muttered something under their breath and the real Seed just stood and scanned the area before saying in a dead, cold voice.
"And does anyone here have a problem with that?" he held up his hand and fire erupted around it. The citizens quickly vacated the area, leaving Seed alone with his thoughts...literally; his thoughts were sitting right next too him.
However, Seed could sense that someone was still there. Watching...no, waiting. It gave off a familiar scent...Darkness. A deep seeded Darkness...
The denizens of the area began to evacuate at the male heartless's whim. However, a mysterious redhead lingered, wading its way through the crowds of people that were leaving. Some moments later, only the man with the auburn hair remained, approaching the bench upon which the heartless known as 'Seed' sat.
The pale figure ran a bony hand through his carefully styled hair, his eyeliner bordering his narrowed gaze quite ominously as he stood there and observed. Only truly perceiving the existence of one true heartless, Myde curled his lips up into a smirk as he observed the 'Seed' on the left. "Mm, that's a cute trick. Raising hell as usual, hm? I knew you'd be out here, but I never figured you would be so..."
Myde paused, licking his lips as he felt the mixed sensations of irritation and passion that the green-haired heartless was exuding. He smirked even moreso at the almost 'bubbly' atmosphere that seemed to come off of Seed, thinking it to be uncharacteristic of him. It was weak. Human, even. "... scratch that... you're obviously harboring something... special. Some one... special."
He put on a fake smile, tilting his head in a very patronizing way - even though he knew Seed wouldn't buy his attempts at social engineering. "Of course, I don't need to read you to know that. Your twin told me everything I need to know. You've got a naughty little boyfriend, don't you?"
Seed sneered as the fellow Heartless made his way over. Though Seed had yet to meet all the members of the XII, this one looked the part of a rocker who is so enthralled with himself he would date his own reflection; not a Heartless bent on destroying the light. But who was he to judge anymore, he had been taken down too many pegs to be a juror.
His piercing gaze fell upon his "twin" as the XII member eventually called it and he gave a twitch of his eye and the fake Seed faded away. Sighing, the emerald Heartless stood up and looked at the rocker wannabe in front of him and smirked. He was going to have fun.
"The people here know better than to cross me, so yeah. I'll raise as much hell as I feel like. Who's asking anyway?" now Seed knew of Braig,Ansem,Relena,Elaeus,Ienzo,Lord U, Lea, and Isa and this guy wasn't any of them. That left four possibilities, none of which made Seed feel any better about running into one to begin with. They were like a growth really, ever present and ever a pain.
"... scratch that... you're obviously harboring something... special. Some one... special. Of course, I don't need to read you to know that. Your twin told me everything I need to know. You've got a naughty little boyfriend, don't you?"
Seed narrowed his eyes and expected to be made fun of again, but it never came. No joke, no calling of names. Just a simple observation that he had someone close to him and he was missing that person. With that he smiled a bit and questioned.
"And? Do you got a problem with that. Excuse me for living for once instead of being a dog to that old geezer Ansem. And another thing," Seed crossed his arms looking rather annoyed at the wording before boyfriend.
"He isn't a...naughty...boyfriend. He has a name, its Leiz. But what's a member of the XII doing around here anyway? I'm sure you all know I've got this world under my palm..." the emerald Heartless was trying to change the subject but he feared he may have been too obvious about it.
Myde smirked at the fellow heartless's defensive demeanor, noting how irked Seed became at his prodding. Walking over to Seed to stand even closer, it was as if the rocker-esque heartless hadn't the least bit of concern for his own welfare. Perhaps there was a reason why, even though Seed was known for being ruthlessly destructive.
In truth, he had an... "insurance policy", if it could be called that. He was well aware that Seed was a subordinate, which practically meant that he could bother him as much as he wanted to without incurring Seed's wrath. If Seed wanted the respect of his peers, he'd have to play nice first. "Oh, not a problem, hmhm..."
Myde chuckled softly as he fondled one of his heartless emblem shaped earrings, idly analyzing and observing the male before him with a gaze that could only be filled with lust. The virtues of Eros took over for a moment as Myde fantasized about -what- it might feel like to seduce the fledgling subordinate... to touch him... to feel him. But he quickly retained his composure as he licked his lips, reminding himself that they should keep their relationship capped at a strictly "professional" level. That was easy enough to accomplish. He could get his fill from other people later.
"Aw, isn't that adorable, defending this... 'Leiz'. Say what you want, hun, but we both know that you're too far gone. Ordinary humans would need to be seriously screwed up to even like us. Hence... 'naughty'."
Seed got twitchy as Myde got closer to him, it really unnerved the emerald Heartless to see this wannabe rocker got closer to him. Seed took an unconscious step back to keep the distance between the two; something about this Heartless made Seed...just...feel odd. His constant eye glaring was also getting on Seeds nerves, if this guy wanted Seed...he was too late.
"He...he's not...he.." Seed was trying to find the right words to respond to Myde. The XII member did have a point; for a human to be attracted to a Heartless...did they have something wrong with them? Could he just be...no, Seed wasn't going to think badly about the man who actually cared about him rather than what he does. He crossed his arms and scoffed as he turned his head to get Myde out of his sight.
"Leiz still isn't...he can't...damn you" Seed couldnt help but think Myde was right about this. But Seed wouldnt let it bother him, Myde could try and dissuade him but he'd fail.
"Why are you so adamant about this, damn man. Haven't had this much shit from the XII for some time..."
"Oh, Seed..." Myde chuckled darkly, his soft features lighting up with glee as he observed Seed's obvious discontentment. It was a very peculiar predicament - always a perceptive one, Myde knew how people ticked and had a full grasp on their... situation, even as blissfully ignorant as he sometimes turned out to be.
Lifting a hand to his mouth to cover his face in sheepish amusement, Myde prodded further to get to the root of why Leiz's "problems" were such a problem at all for the green-haired heartless. "But, oh, that doesn't really matter to you at all - he's screwed up in his own way, yeah?~ A little darkness isn't going to change anything..."
"'sides. If he looks even as half as good as you, well..." He paused, taking on a hushed, seductive tone in an expected-to-fail attempt to swoon the subordinate. "I'd take him in a heartbeat, too... only... I think I'd have his heart as well."
Leaning backward, however, Myde dropped that act, enjoying this far too much to follow up on such an idle threat. The threat, for all its intents and purposes, wasn't part of his chief aim. He wanted Seed to understand one thing. "... I jest. What I'm trying to say is, hun, is that... for those who maraud in the darkness, reeling others in is all we know. I can see that look on your face. You eloped, didn't you? You actually don't care how much you stain him. How much you'll fuck him up."
"But, oh, that doesn't really matter to you at all - he's screwed up in his own way, yeah?~ A little darkness isn't going to change anything..."
Seed clenched his teeth. Mydes words dug deep into his head, he knew the XII were a group of pretentious asses but this was ridiculous.
"'sides. If he looks even as half as good as you, well..."
The emerald Heartless almost tripped over his own legs when he heard Myde say this. What was with this guy, first he insults Seed and now he's saying he thinks he's hot? If anyone can piss off this Heartless more than Elaeus, Myde could. But what he said made Seed see red and clench his fist so hard they began to bleed.
"I'd take him in a heartbeat, too... only... I think I'd have his heart as well."
"Wha...wh..." was all he could stammer as he couldn't find the right words to express his anger. His nails were digging into his skin as Myde spoke, his eyes twitching, and veins in his forehead throbbing.
"... I jest. What I'm trying to say is, hun, is that... for those who maraud in the darkness, reeling others in is all we know. I can see that look on your face."
Seed cocked his head to the side a little.
You eloped, didn't you? You actually don't care how much you stain him. How much you'll fuck him up."
Seed couldn't take it anymore, his voice exploded out as his face turned deep red
"What is wrong with you!!?" a gust of wind blew through the area as well. Seed was breathing deeply as he continued.
"You know nothing about Leiz...or me for that matter. And you just com strolling by saying you're going to....to.." Seed's eyes were burning with hate for Myde. Seed wasn't going to let anyway take Leiz, he felt that he was more than just a puppet to be used. More than a useless pawn to the Dark XII.
He lowered his voice as he let his arms fall to his side, the scraps and drips of blood from his clenching beginning to fall.
"I'm more than a useless puppet. More than a pawn, I have a life...I want to feel needed for more than killing. And, I've got it. If you dare try to do anything." he clenched his firsts again.
Hi lifted his head up and gave Myde a death glare.
Myde ceased his chuckling, bemused at Seed's seemingly endless aggression. He felt that it would be much too risky to keep pushing the envelope because quite frankly, Seed could kill him. He wouldn't humor himself with the idea of having combative grandeur - because that was impossible with his current repertoire of skills.
The auburn-haired heartless knew better than to push someone's buttons when he himself didn't have the appropriate length of an arm or pushing contrivance - from how Seed was standing, and how he was shouting, Myde could tell that the heartless before him would take great facility in ensuring his demise if he had ever decided to give this 'Leiz' a visit.
Throwing his hands up in the air in a defensive gesture of defeat, he falsely conceded to the heartless's demands. "Relax, I won't touch a hair on your pretty boyfriend's head. There are simply so many other people I could be stalking with my spare time. There is this contemptuous, fiery girl I've been following in Traverse Town for some time now. I wonder how long she can lug around that false bravado for when I'm there, kekeke~..."
Seed slowed down his breathing and looked at the ground. Never, never had Seed gotten this angry about anything; not even when he found out Elaeus had vanished. Being alone for so long and finally getting someone who can see past all the murderous intent can be so surreal. Funny how someone can snap when someone threatens to take all that away and even take the person you care about for their own. It didn't hit Seed that he had just threatened a superior until just now.
"Look...I've never had anything close to even a friend in my life. I don't even think in my human life. Leiz, he...he can see past all this. All this pent up rage and dark taint..." Seed wrapped his arms around his upper body as if to hug himself. This sliver of humanity in him, it didn't feel like a glitch, it didn't feel like a mistake. It felt right, like he was meant to keep at least a small part of who he was alive forever.
Seed released himself and sat back down on the bench and sighed. The Heartless needed to cool off and talking was about the only thing that did the trick.
"Who are you exactly? I know all but three of the XII and you...I think I would remember who you are."
Unsympathetic, Myde could not give a damn about the heartless's desires to hold onto his humanity. Humanity had left Myde long, long ago, so he could not relate in the least.
"Number nine," he said monotonously, tightening his grip on the punkish black tie that hung from around his dress shirt. "The Melody of Oblivion... Myde."
Running a delicate hand through his auburn hair once again as if to put on some display of coolness, bravado or what-have-you, Myde withdrew the gaze that implied a platonic or sexual interest in the heartless subordinate. He understood that he was at the end of a very short rope as it was, deciding not to bother or patronize Seed any more. ... well, at least for the moment. He could always have his fun, but just not now, not when he was wound-up like this.
Having tested the waters, Myde believed that he now had enough information about Seed's current... status. Mentally snickering to himself, he planned on perhaps obtaining conference with the the other members of the Dark XII, informing them that one of their darling subordinates was perhaps sympathizing too much with the human condition.
He turned around and began to walk away, giving the green-haired heartless a passive wave. "Catch you later, hun. I'm sure the others will be dying to meet your main squeeze."
Number Nine Seed mentally noted that number and drew up a pecking order. Myde was the lowest number he had met, so, in turn, had the lowest amount of authority amongst the others. That didn't seem to likely now with what just happened, Seed didn't think a threat against a higher, even the lowest was higher than he was, rank member of the XII would bode over well with Ansem and the possibility of him ratting out that Seed was getting fond of a Human would go over worse.
The emerald Heartless gave a nod in acknowledgement. Seed was getting the feeling that he was going to be getting more shit from the rest of the XII very soon, very soon. He just wanted to ask Myde to not say anything, it wasn't like Seed went up to him and prattled on about it. No, it was Myde who shoved his nose in Seed's business and started stuff. But he knew it would be a waste of time, they were going to come across this information eventually, so why hide it? Seed wasn't ashamed of it, it seemed natural to him anyway.
"Catch you later, hun. I'm sure the others will be dying to meet your main squeeze."
Seed shot up when he heard Myde say that. So he was going to tell the others?! Great. Knowing there was nothing he could do to stop the demented Heartless from doing anything he sat back down on the bench and played the time on Destiny Islands with Leiz in his head. He really needed to calm down after that...
"FUCK IT!" he yelled, not wanting to try calming down the easy way he stormed off into town trying to find just the smallest, most tiny reason he could to bash someones skull in. His love was insulted to his face and he was ripe with rage about it.
