In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The sun was at its highest point in the sky. The waves crashed and swirled on the beach. The soft white sand shined brightly. Gulls cried out in the sky. A dot of darkness grew out of the ground...
Wait, what?
The dark released smoke, and a portal to another world opened up. Out stepped a young woman with black, red striped, poofy hair. She sheilded her eyes from the sudden glare of the sun, and stepped away from the portal, looking around. Xaoc smiled. She knew what this was, though she had never been to one. A beach.

A young boy followed the woman through the dark corridor and looked around as she stepped out. "Huh, so we're at a beach. That's a relief I actually winged that one, for all we know I could have dropped us of in a volcano or something." Lea lightly joked about it, well...it was true in a sense. When he and Xaoc left Traverse Town he had actually winged the whole trip. At least they were somewhere where it looked safe.
"So..." Lea said as he raised his arms over his head to stretch him and basked in the sunlight, "Now that we're here...what do we do?" Because in reality, Lea didn't have any plans at all.
"Well, I haven't actually been to the beach before, but I think when you go there, you're supposed to either bake in the sun until you are a golden brown, or go swimming. But I don't have any clothes but the ones on my back..." she said with a slight smile.
Then the rest of what he said registered.
"What the hell do you mean, you were winging it? You didn't actually know where we were going?" She put on an annoyed face, then sighed and shook her head. "Well, it worked out fine, so screw it, I don't care. Now... where to get swimming clothes..." She looked around. In the distance there appeared to be a building of some kind. "Maybe there?" she asked, pointing.

"Baking in the sun or swimming...hm..." Lea pondered about what to choose. Sure for someone like him, laying underneath the sun is very comfortable if you didn't get too burned from it, on the other hand, swimming was fun but... "Well I can't decide." He shrugged his shoulders, it was true, when ever Lea went somewhere out of boredom and free time he'd just act like a normal person, and eat a heart or two to quell his hunger.
He heard Xaoc talk about his winging it with their little trip, "At least we landed someplace fun right?" He said with a smile. Xaoc pointed to a building near them and asked if they had swimming clothes. "No idea, I'll take a look." He walked into the building and noticed some clothes used for swimming on a shelf, Yep, just what I thought, we need some munny. Lea gave out a sigh and called out to Xaoc, "Hey, you wouldn't happen to have any cash on ya?"
She walked over to the building, reaching into her pocket, and pulling out a large solid gold ring. "I stole a bunch of these from this museum, would that work?" she asked. According to the exhibit she had broken into, the gold rings had had some religious signifigance. Well, now they had monetary signifigance. She held up one of the swim suits, the top half of a two piece, which was red. "Doesn't cover much, does it? And it..." she moved some of the clothing around, "...doesn't seem to have a matching bottom..." She picked up a pair of black bottoms. "Well, the pieces don't match each other, but I'll bet they match me just fine."

Lea looked at the gold ring she pulled out, "I guess, it's still gold so I don't think it matters." He said with a shrug of his shoulders and followed her inside. He looked around for any kind of clothing he could use when he came across a pair of swim trunks just his size and with a red and orange flame print on it. "Nice. Kinda suits me doesn't it?" He looked at Xaoc and noticed the two piece she was looking and he looked away, Don't really need to see that... He then heard her mention something about non-matching bottoms. He looked over his shoulder and saw her with a red top and black bottom, "Well, black and red do seems to be your colors. So you gonna pay with that ring of yours?"
She tossed it to him with a wink, and said, "No, you are. I'm going to see if this fits." She walked away, and entered a changing booth, closing the door, and making sure no one could see in. She stripped down quickly, and slipped into the suit. She examined herself in the mirror. Oh, yeah, she was most def buying this. She folded her clothes into a bundle, wrapped her trench coat around it, and opened the door, with a self satisfied smirk on her face. "Hey, Lea, whaddya think?"

Lea caught the ring and went over to the cashier and pay for it, "Here, one solid gold ring, entirely real." The cashier looked at the ring and then at Lea, "Is this your idea of a joke kid, you know I run a shop that only takes munny! Not this..." The cashier picked up the ring and bite it, it did feel like gold, so maybe..."Sorry kid but I'll be taking this junk, so you better pay up or el-" Lea was growing tired of this guy's ranting so he thrust his hand into the cashier's chest and took out his heart, he watched the body fall behind the counter and Lea ate the sweet heart.
He heard Xaoc ask him about what he thought about something and when he turned to face her he saw her in her own custom swimwear. "Uh...looks good on ya. Here, He said with a slight blush, seriously, first Arlene dresses skimpy and now Xaoc wears a two piece, women, grabbed the ring that the cashier dropped and handed it to her, "The guy said we could have the clothes free of charge. Oh, let me change first" He said with a small smirk. He walked into the changing rooms and put on his swim trunks and walked out. "So, ready to hit the beach?"
She shook her head. "Lea, you don't have to lie. I heard him from the changing booth. You killed him. And I honestly couldn't care less." She winked at him, and took the ring back, slipping it into her bundle. She glanced at his face, and
"And is that a blush I see there? Do I really look that good?" She did a quick twirl, then said, "Yes, let's hit the beach. I hope it doesn't hit back," she said with a chuckle. She walked outside, stepping quickly across the hot sand into the cool water. "You sure you can swim, fire boy?" she asked him, smirking at him.

"Let's just get to the water." Lea said as he quickly walked by her and crossed the sand to the water's edge and stopped right at the tip of the edge. He looked at the body of water, boy was it huge. "You sure you can swim, fire boy?" Lea looked at her and then back to the large puddle. It's not that he couldn't, he just had a bit of trouble with water before, "Yeah I can swim, just 'cause I use fire doesn't mean I hate water." He said to her as he walked into the water with her and let himself float. "So...do we just float here or what?" He asked, because this was sorta his first time swimming at a beach.
Xaoc splashed him. "How am I supposed to know? It's my first time too, you know." She dove under a wave, then resurfaced, her hair flattened against her head. "Well, why do't you tell me something about yourself? Where are you from? What kind of life do you lead?" she asked, curious to know more about this stranger. And he was a stranger to her, yet she felt more... I don't know, comfortable around him then she had around anyone in years.

Lea felt water hit his face, "Hey!" He splashed her back with a smirk on his face. So this was Xaoc's first time here as well, well at least Lea wouldn't feel bad about not knowing what to do really at a beach, aside from sleeping on the sand. He watched her go underwater and resurface with her poofy hair flattened out by the water. He let himself sink a little till the water covered his upper lip, then Xaoc asked about Lea and about his life. "Let's see...my head get a little fuzzy when I try to remember stuff sometimes but, I used to live in this place called Radiant Garden, nice place by the way, was one of the popular kids, and then...the Heartless came and took it all away. It may sound bad but I don't really care anymore. After that I became a Heartless and now I live with a few others like me."
Lea looked up to the sky and remembered the good times he had with the XII. "Anyway, I'm just the kind of guy who likes to have fun from time to time, no use letting yourself sit around and do nothing. So what about you Xaoc? What kind of girl are you?"
"Oh, dark, dangerous, mentally unstable... Those are the words normally used to describe me. But I actually like to consider myself a pretty normal girl who had something horrible foisted on her. Of course, my tastes and the things I consider fun would get me locked up back home, if I had given anyone half a chance, but I just try to take life a day at a time, you know?"
She ran her fingers through her hair, pushing it back. "You didn't answer my question, though. You said you lived with a group of others just like you, but I highly doubt this is for purely social reasons. Who are they?" she asked him seriously, with a look in her eye that told him not to bullshit her.

Lea looked at her, she was asking for a lot, and the XII wouldn't really like the idea of someone poking around their business. "Look, I know you want to know a lot about me, but there are some consequences to the info I'm going to tell you, but they won't come right away." He took a deep breath and began his explanation. "Okay, so here it is, I'm not the only human looking Heartless, that you know already, and I'm part of a group made up of eleven more powerful Heartless. We only really exist for one thing, to devour the light, but right now we're at war with these dumb empty shells with brains called Nobodies, and these guys called the Guardians of the World or something, normal humans, nothing special. Anyway, that's sort of the gist of it." Lea looked at Xaoc waiting for her to take it all in.
Huh. That wasn't nearly as bad as she thought, after some of the crap she had seen. She smiled. "You fight the light, huh? So did I on my world, though, there it was called Harmony. Bunch of stuck up snobby bastards, looking down on the rest of us. They are the reason I hated my world. Chaotics like me were treated like criminals for no good reason, and we often had to become so to survive. I know I did." She drew her knees up, and hugged them, looking at Lea. "I would guess this bunch wouldn't like it if they knew you were hanging out with some human, huh?"
