In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Hero whistled a song contently. It didn't have a tune, and the notes jumped around every now and then to a different key, but it didn't really matter as long as he was making noise.
The dark-blue haired child walked through the sullen streets of the first district, stopping every now and then at doors to ring a bell, exchange a few words, and either deliver or retract a package. He particularly enjoyed work in the First District just because it didn't required too much running around, contrast to the third, where he almost went insane from the amount of heartless once.
The oddest thing about his appearance, he soon noticed earlier, was his headphones. At first, they started out as two shapeless, white figures, but connecting them was an odd, thhin, black, plastic-like coating that was shaped oddly like an M, sometimes called "cat-ears". Trailing from one of them was an equally out of place mp3 cord which wrapped around the majority of his torso until it reached the collar of his thin sweater.
The sky was an empty black that night, but the streetlights kept things warm and comfortable. His last delivery concerened an overweight man who slammed the door in his face so harshly he fell down a few steps. He recovered, dizzy, only to find that he landed on his forehead again, procuring the same amount of blood it did when it was - oh, lets think, smashed with a wineglass, bumped against gummi-ship metal, shoved into brick pavement, yeah.
Everything was going just fine too..

"No, no. It's no problem, really. Alright, have a good evening." Zephyrus said with a smile, waving goodbye to the Moogle at the Potion shop. He lifted up the package that the Moogle placed on the counter, relatively surprised by the unexpected weight, before walking off. When Zephyrus first arrived at this place, he was scared of and doubtful of every living creature. But now that he had settled down properly and found that not everything wants to kill him, he thought he could help around. Though this is all voluntary work, Zephyrus still enjoys it. He helps the Moogle at the potion shop to deliver packages sometimes, and it lets him meet various people. Some nice, some... not so nice.
"Alright... uhm..." Zephyrus checked the label on the box once more to confirm where he was going, before turning into another street. Arriving at a door, he knocked at it. A short pause, before it opened. An elderly looking lady looking at Zephyrus, before looking at the package in his hands. "Ahh, good evening Miss. I'm here to deliver your package, from the Potion shop." At this, the old lady smiled, accepting the package with a thank you, before gently closing the door. Zephyrus had a grin on his face as he turned around from the door and started walking away.
Looking to his left, he saw another dark-haired boy, presumably human, also delivering a package, just in time to see a man slam the door in his face. Zephyrus almost shivered, he remembered delivering to that man once. He was about to continue on his way before he saw that the slam had caused the boy to fall down. Zephyrus stopped in his tracks and stared, waiting for the human to move. He saw the boy recover, but his head was bleeding. This caused Zephyrus to get a little concerned and he walked up to the boy. "Hey, are you okay...?" He asked, raising his hand slightly as if to check how much damage was done to his forehead, "Would you like me to wash and heal that for you? I've delivered to that man before, he isn't very bright, is he?"

Hero nursed his head with the back of his hand, saying nonchalantly back to however might have stumbled across him this time,
"Yes, I'm fi-"
Then he looked up. Many thoughts were running through his head at the time, but none that could be recorded here coherently enough to be known as understandable of comprehensive emotion or feelings. He stood up, momentarily ignoring the blood on his forehead, walked forward towards the boy briskly, put his arms around his shoulders in a tight embrace and then..
.. kissed him. And held it tight for a few moments. Then let go, walking back two steps and grinning brightly.

"Ah, that's good-Eh? Is something wrong?" Zephyrus asked with once again concern in his voice as the boy stopped midsentence, he watched as he got up and walked closer to him. "Eh? What are you-" Zephyrus' sentence was cut short as the boy suddenly pulled him into an embrace and then kissed him.
A few tense moments, the kiss was held. Zephyrus' eyes kept the neutral expression he had on earlier and, even as the other boy had let go, he retained the same expression as if he was frozen, his right ear twitching every once in a while. After the event that had just occurred finally registered through his brain, Zephyrus' entire face seemed to go completely red. He lifted up his right hand a little, but quite shakily, and pointed at the boy, "D-D-Did you... just..."
Momentary silence.
"I.. you... uh..." Zephyrus stuttered, momentarily forgetting his English as he tried to get his words out, "C-Carneira... Asa ke carneira... Inde ke mashiara--" He stopped midsentence, realizing he was speaking in the Old Tongue and not in English. "Ah.. uh... uhm.. You... Why did you... kiss...me...?" He asked, his face getting even redder and redder. "I... I'm... uh... I'm straight...mumblemumble..." Zephyrus stared at the boy, wondering how he could wear such a bright grin on his face after what he had just done.

Hero scratched the back of his head, confused as to why the boy seemed so flustered. Reaching into the pocket of his red jeans, he pulled out a rather tin-looking book and flipped through the pages. The front cover said "Greetings".
Uh.. crap, I read the wrong section..
Now Hero seemed just as confused.
"It um, well, er.."
The man from earlier, including a few others, were staring out of their windows surreptitiously.
"I know your straight it just, um, helped - break the ice yes."
Hero stopped in his babbling for a moment to stand still and gently fold his arms, looking politely puzzled.
"B-Break the ice? What ice?" Zephyrus blurted out, turning from panicked to slightly aggravated. The Atha'an Miere didn't understand that sentence's meaning, his English often taking things literally. His ears were twitching somewhat wildly, "I only see this ice-" In an instant he opened up his palm and a chunk of ice appeared on it, using his Blizzard Magick to form it. "-it's broken now though." Right after he said that, the chunk of ice cracked and then broke into several pieces. Zephyrus dropped them.
And then the boy asked, was it so bad to get kissed? "No! I mean yes! I mean.. Uh..." Zephyrus pondered for a brief moment, before continuing, "Kissing is only something you do to someone really close to you like a family member, or a girlfriend or boyfriend. N-Not to random people you just meet..." Zephyrus became quiet as he realized some people were staring out their windows. His ears drooped, as he turned his head around to look at some of them, before nervously looking back at the boy. He stared at him blankly for a moment, "And your name is...?"
He always felt a little weird when he introduced himself. one of the reasons was.. he had no real name. The blue-haired teen had no last name, middle name, or anything. He always went by an odd alias that he remembered when he came out of amnesia..
"..Hero."
He stared back at the boy for a little bit. He suddenly realized he was blushing a bit.
E-even though he's a guy.. he's.. cute..
It was another piece of work from his damned body.. Since Hero was artificial, some of his systems didn't work properly, so some mental switch might have been disconfigured during the process of meeting Zephyrus. Then he realized more and more people were starting to get suspicious. The man from earlier looked ready to break down his own door to yell at them. Quietly, Hero said,
"Um, sh-should we continue this someplace else? We can talk while we walk."
Hero skipped to Zephyrus' side, and started to walk with him. Hands in his maroon red pockets, the black and white headphones still latched around his ears.
"Okay... Hero." Zephyrus said, adding his name to the 'list of names' in his head. Hero seemed like quite an odd name, maybe it is an Alias, or a shorter version of his real name? Why is he even bothering about whether Hero is the boy's alias or not? Zephyrus could have sworn he thought the boy was blushing a bit, though he might have been imagining things. What is wrong with this guy...?
"Yes... we should walk." He said, cautiously eyeing the people around him. "We seem to be stirring up some of the citizens..."
"Probably with that act of yours." Zephyrus thought, shuddering.
Zephyrus started to walk, and Hero happily skipped to Zephyrus' side. Zephyrus almost inched away, uncomfortable with the boy being so close to him. "My name is Zephyrus." He said, answering Hero's question. "I've... been here for a while. Doing some couriering." His slitted eyes gazed at Hero with a hint of caution, as if ready to move if he did anything else. A short pause, then he spoke. "Do you live here, or just on a visit?" He said, his gaze unwavering, as he tried to start a conversation just for the sake of getting rid of all this awkwardness.
