Name: Jason Brown
Nickname: He tends to use the alias, Mr. Adalfieri while traveling, as to keep his real identity a secret to those he doesn't trust.
Age: He is about 24, and looks that age.
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Position: Neutral
Powers:Jason's powers are based around wind. This is helpful both inside and outside of combat.
Aero/Aerora/Aeroga: All three of these create a wind shield around Jason that soak up some damage, they all have a one post limit. Aero and Aerora both have a one post cool down, but Aeroga has a two post cool down. Aero takes away half the damage of minor spells and attacks, and one fourth of medium damage spells and attacks. Aerora takes up most of the damage from minor spells and attacks, half the damage from medium damage spells and attacks, and causes minor damage on contact. Aeroga can reflect minor spells and attacks, soak up half the damage from medium spells and attacks, and causes medium damage on contact.
Whirlwind: This ability causes a whirlwind of uh....wind, to take form around Jason, knocking back everyone in a five foot radius and dealing minor damage unless they can get hold of something sturdy or withstand the wind. It has a three post cool down.
Zephyr: Although not a combat ability, it is still valuable. Using it, Jason can increase his movement speed up to 50% faster than normal. It has a two post cool down.
Wind Blast: A medium damage spell, he launches a blast of wind in front of him in a cone shape which has a range of about 15 meters. It causes medium damage, and can knock a person back. This has a two post cool down.
Tornado: A medium damage attack by itself, it is a miniture tornado, about 12 feet tall, that causes medium damage on contact, it also has the ability to draw things closer to it, the debris can cause additional damage depending on what they are. This has a four post cool down.
Limit Break: Dust Storm: This ability causes a large windstorm to pick up, causing dust to gather and create a choking cloud of dust and debris around Jason, who is in the middle, or the eye, where there is room for about 3 other people. The storm causes medium damage over time, and the dust creates a smokescreen that limits visibility and breathing, although it doesn't completely cut off oxygen to the lungs, it also slows down those caught in it's wake, as the wind blows against the attackers. It also pucks up debris like tornado which can cause damage as well. The debris that hit are determined by the other player, not me. It causes all of Jason's abilities to go on cool down, and is usable once per thread. It also causes Jason to become exhausted and vulnerable for 1 post. While casting this, Jason cannot move at all. Lasts two posts. It can be canceled if Jason is attacked and hit 2 times, and damage done to Jason is doubled while this is active.
Levitation: Jason has the ability to use wind to levitate himself and other objects or people. The height depends on the weight of the object. He can levitate himself up to five feet in the air.
*Notes on Powers**Jason cannot use his powers while underwater.
*Zephyr cannot be used if Jason is under the affect of any movement slowing objects.
*The tornado made by his Tornado spell cannot change direction and will disappear if it hits something it cannot go through.
*Dust Storm has a 25 meter radius, and does not expand or change its location. It is purely Area of Effect.
Weapon:His weapons consist of two daggers and a one handed sword. Each dagger is about the regular length of a dagger, and has a basic hilt and blade. The sword is neatly tucked away in his coat, and boasts and steel blade and hilt. The blade is about 3 feet long and isn't very different than other blades. The hilt is ornate, with black leather wrapped neatly around the handle.
Picture: A shot from behindAppearance: Jason has a travel worn look to him, long, shaggy, black hair that falls just beneath his shoulders and covers his ears. His eyes are dark brown and seem to show that they have seen many, many things over the years. His appearance is mysterious, and many people tend to be wary around him because of it. He has a lean body frame and stands at about 6'1 and weighs about the average weight for a man of his height and body type. He has a five o' clock shadow for facial hair. His skin has a decent tan to it, and has had it for a while.
For clothing he has a black trench coat with a somewhat high collar that conceals some of his face from the sides. Under this he wears a dark gray collared shirt that is buttoned up. He also wears black jeans with a leather belt in the loops. He has some black leather boots, which are dusty and travel worn. He also has a black fedora with a light gray strip that he often wears. Usually when just passing through, he wears it so that it covers up some of his face to save the time that would otherwise be spent with a conversation, hopefully.
Personality:Many people feel Jason has a mysterious aura about him. He is a wanderer by heart, and dismisses the idea of settling down permanently. he doesn't have many friends, as he never makes the time to get some before he is off again. He is rather withdrawn, not being one to draw attention to himself. He tends to be drawn into his own thoughts, what they are, I don't even think the most skilled psychiatrist could ever figure out. He has a strong will, that's for sure. He tends not to take sides, if it doesn't involve him, just keep moving. However, he will not stand for downright injustice, and that is one of the rare instances that he will intervene on the victims behalf. Although he isn't the social little teen girl who makes friends with everyone, he does like a bit of conversation, if he's feeling up to it. he tends to avoid big groups, as he likes to stick with just himself. Though he may be found with a small group of locales for a short time, usually to catch up on news or get directions to the nearest inn or something of that kind of thing. He is polite to strangers, and typically tries to avoid fighting, though he knows enough to realize when a certain person is not being quite friendly. Rather contrary to his withdrawn self, he is a rather curious person. if something interests him, he'll see if there is anything behind it or anything that doesn't quite show at first glance.
Original World:Sharha (original)
Current World:Radiant Garden
History:Jason was born on the world Sharha, a desert world similar to Agrabah, but with almost no permanent towns or cities, as most people on the world were nomads. Wind was viewed as an important factor on this world, and many people had learned to use wind magic to help their tribes or themselves. Those who weren't very competent in the abilities usually got the more laborious work, while those more skilled in the art got the higher ranks, better jobs, etc.
Jason worked as something of a traveling merchant during his time on his home world, traveling across the deserts, making trades with the nomads, and sometimes opening shop in one of the very rare permanent cities he would find. It was a lifestyle that he and many others had chosen, most of them having control of the wind like many of the inhabitants of the world, thus they were called 'wind traders' among the people outside of their profession. The traders themselves had looses connections to one another, and weren't really an organization at all. Their trade was mainly anything they could make a profit from, even if it was stolen.
Jason's life on Sharha went by this way. Travel, trade, rinse and repeat. Then, something strange started happening in the desert. Known trade routes became abandoned, people found abandoned camps, sometimes the camps were completely thrashed. But the same thing kept popping up. No bodies. maybe some blood on the sand or some bloody clothes. But no bodies. Then the people that discovered the camps started to go missing. Then, a survivor came back. He went to the largest city in Sharha, where most of the people lived and the ruler of the biggest portion of the world was. He told them of what had attacked his group. Creatures of darkness, terrible, soulless things with no remorse or distinction for their prey. Indiscriminate killers who turned their victims into one of them. The heartless had come to Sharha. The people of the doomed world panicked, not knowing anything about this new threat.
Jason didn't discover that fact until he had an encounter with the heartless himself. He had fought off as many as he could, sustaining numerous wounds, and in the end, he had to escape. Using his wind magic, he was able to get far away enough that the heartless lost track off him. However, he soon blacked out. Only to find himself in Traverse Town, waking up a few days after his world was consumed by darkness. Here, he decided to continue his life. He gave up his desert style clothing here for his current attire as well. He found out about other worlds and about travel between them. Thinking it worthwhile to go to other worlds, he decided that when the chance provided itself he would take it. Thus, instead of returning to his home world when the darkness was fought off the first time, he went to another world, Radiant Garden. He hasn't had much time to take up his old profession of trading, but he plans to one day return to his restored world and become a trader once more.
Role Playing Sample: (This is set before he comes to Traverse Town, on Sharha.)
The pub was dark and dusty, the only light coming from some candles and cracks in the walls and doors. The sound of a busy desert street could be heard outside, people shouting, traders trying to catch people's attention, and the snorts of camels and pack mules. Life as usual was going on outside the pub in one of Sharha's rare cities. But Jason didn't have time for that. He wanted news.
"
So. I hear a lot of talk about disappearances. What's going on?" Jason asked the bartender. Who had just handed him a drink. He was one of the only people in the pub. A few others at the back and at the tables. And he and the bartender were at the front.
"
Well," the bartender said, leaning a bit closer over the bar to Jason to talk, "
People have been finding camps you see. Abandoned, some even in ruins. The strange thing is, no one can find any bodies. Blood yes, but not a single human remain. 'Cept for a finger that was found earlier this week." he said, taking a sip from the drink that he held in his hand.
"
No corpses, notes, or anything? There must be something besides a damned finger." Jason said, acquiring a somewhat troubled look.
"
Nothing." The Bartender said, looking up over at the door as someone else entered.
"
Thanks for the drink. And the information as well. " Jason said, standing up and walking out of the pub.
~Some time later~
Jason wandered the sandy dunes of the desert he had walked throughout his life. A camel he led with rope trailing beside him, carrying the bags with his trade goods and gold inside of them. Not to far ahead he saw an abandoned camp. "
Looks like the guy was right." Jason said to himself, walking towards the camp with his camel following.
Jason shifted through the wreckage, taking what he could sell off the ground and putting the objects into a bag on his camel, while looking for any sign of a human body. Nothing, absolutely nothing. Letting go of his camel's rope, he went a bit further in. "
Something really doesn't feel right here." he said, looking around the camp.
He looked back towards the outside of the camp, and his camel and bags were no longer where they were. He could see the camel's dead body laying on the ground. "
What the heck?!" Jason said to himself, running over to the body.
Searching the camel's body he found the pouches containing his money and stored them in his pockets. Little did he know something stalked up behind him.
~Sometime later...again.~
Jason stumbled to a halt. He was in the middle of nowhere with numerous wounds and a large claw mark on his side. he had just got away from the camp after being attacked by heartless. "
What...What were those things?" he asked himself, although knowing he wouldn't get an answer. Soon his vision became blurry with exhaustion, and soon he was out cold.
When he woke up, he found himself not in Sharha, but in a bed inside a building on he First District of Traverse Town.
