In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Vayne walked around in the First District, showing Legato everything. He may not have been a native to the town, but he'd been here long enough to know his way around.
"So, that's the Accessory Shop," Vayne said, pointing to the building once owned by Cid. "Over there is the Items/Weapons Store..." Vayne stopped and leaned against a lamp post.
Lea and Xaoc... I'm happy for them, but... I just wish I had someone to kiss me like Lea kissed Onee-chan.
Vayne's ears unconsciously flattened before his tummy rumbled, reminding him that they weren't just in the First District for sight-seeing.
"Oh, yeah!" Vayne said, grabbing Legato's hand. "And most importantly, the Cafe is over here! You gotta try their desserts! They're awesome!"

Legato was being dragged around everywhere in the first district by Xaoc's apparent brother, Vayne. Most of the places Vayne showed him were places he had already been to. Places like the items/weapons store and the accessory shop where Helena worked. However, he also showed him a cafe he'd never been to before. Normally, Legato wouldn't go to the cafe due to the fact he didn't actually like desserts.
"Vayne... I'm not really a dessert person. Also, before, you were talking very strabgely before. Satin and Glossa whatever it is. What was that about? and why did you say 'someone is walking on my grave?'" Legato asked. He was curious, very curious. Vayne seemed like an interesting boy as he somehow made Xaoc nice. He really wanted to hear his soul. What would it be like?
Vayne stopped for a moment. He had hoped that the subject was dropped, but... Well, he could try to dodge the question for a bit longer, couldn't he?
"Oh, it doesn't just serve desserts, silly!" Vayne said. "They'd go out of business if that were true! I just like to eat desserts more than other kinds of food. They have stuff like spaghetti and salads and even these cool things called hotdogs! One of the waitresses said a guy named Leon loves hotdogs, so I guess they must not be too strange or weird..."
Vayne took a seat and one of the waitress girls walked over to take their orders.
"What can I get you two?" she said with a smile.
"I'd like some apple sorbet, please! And maybe a mango milkshake," Vayne said, handing the girl the menu that had been sitting in front of him when he sat down.
"Okay, and for you sir?" she asked, looking at Legato.
"Oh, it doesn't just serve desserts, silly!" Vayne said, evidently trying to avoid his question. "They'd go out of business if that were true! I just like to eat desserts more than other kinds of food. They have stuff like spaghetti and salads and even these cool things called hotdogs! One of the waitresses said a guy named Leon loves hotdogs, so I guess they must not be too strange or weird..." Legato felt slightly worried as Vayne dragged him to the shops. He was sincerely hoping that this cafe did not cook actual dogs and was forced into his seat by Vayne.
A girl in a waitress dress came to their table. She sported a nice smile which made Legato feel more relaxed in this foreign setting. He never really went to cafes back on his home world, let alone eat a "hot dog".
"What can I get you two?" she said with a smile.
"I'd like some apple sorbet, please! And maybe a mango milkshake," Vayne said, handing the girl the menu that had been sitting in front of him when he sat down. Legato had no idea what a sherbert or a sorbet was and was perplexed by the names of the food.
"Okay, and for you sir?" she asked, looking at Legato. Looking down at the menu, he had no idea what to have. The amount of things on the menu was staggering and Legato was boggled at all of the choices. Looking up at the waitress, he sheepishly said.
"I guess I'll have the spaghetti then... If you don't mind." He then passed the menu to her and she made her exit.
Turning to Vayne, he asked him. "Can you please answer both my questions? Especially the latter one. You seemed really serious and your tone changed. Why is that?"
Vayne sighed. He wasn't getting out of this one-- not that easily, anyway. He should probably just tell Legato. After all, it wasn't like he'd done something bad... but he didn't want to worry anyone. To tell, or not to tell? Vayne sighed.
"Okay, you gotta promise me this won't get back to Onee-chan," Vayne said. "When I said that... It's a phrase people back on my world use for this creepy feeling you sometimes get..." Vayne shivered as he remembered the feeling. "It's like for a split second, all the warmth and joy in the universe has been washed away, and you feel cold..."
Vayne didn't like it, and decided not to share the other half of the history of that phrase...
That people who feel that are standing close to Death itself.

Vayne sighed after Legato asked him to answer his question. He wasn't sure whether this meant that he was going to tell him or if he was just annoyed by his questioning. It seemed to be the former as Vayne looked at him and said.
"Okay, you gotta promise me this won't get back to Onee-chan. When I said that... It's a phrase people back on my world use for this creepy feeling you sometimes get..." He then noticed him shiver, which Legato thought was him remembering the feeling. He felt a slight chill as well, but wasn't sure if this was reality or fiction.
"It's like for a split second, all the warmth and joy in the universe has been washed away, and you feel cold..." Vayne then stopped talking, evidently disliking the very mention of it. Legato now felt annoyed at himself for forcing him to say it. Looking at him, he said in an apologetic tone.
"I'm really sorry... I shouldn't of asked, it seems to be a sensitive manner... What about the other question I asked, about the Satin thing. What was up with that?"
Vayne perked up at the mention of dress materials. It was always fun to wear a dress, after all.
"Oh yeah!" Vayne said. "Aren't you a singer? Well, if you wanted to , then I could try and get you a job at Dark Intentions, the place where I work."
Vayne pointed offhandedly at the Second District door.
"I like to wear all kinds of cute dresses when I perform," he said, "but you deserve something with a bit more class, I think..."
Vayne's ears flew up in alarm when he remembered something.
"Oh no! I completely forgot!" he said. "I meant to go to the Second District and order some beds for the house!"
Vayne rose from the table and began to dash off.
"Legato, will you wait here for just a bit? I won't be too long, I promise!"
Vayne quickly ran up the stairs, and through the door to the Second District. He looked left and right-- no Heartless. That was good. He wasn't sure he could handle any enemies on his own.
He began walking down the side of the District that housed the hotel-- next to the there was a nice shop that sold furniture-- most importantly, beds.

"Oh yeah!" Vayne said, almost immediately perking up. "Aren't you a singer? Well, if you wanted to , then I could try and get you a job at Dark Intentions, the place where I work."
"Dark Intentions?" Legato asked Vayne. He hoped that it wasn't what he thought it was. The name 'Dark Intentions' gave him a pretty clear idea of the place where he thought Vayne worked. However, he wondered why Vayne would even work in a place like that in the first place.
"I like to wear all kinds of cute dresses when I perform," he said to Legato while pointing to the second district, "but you deserve something with a bit more class, I think..."
"Class" Legato said in a sarcastic tone. His suspicions about 'Dark Intentions' seemed to be right on the money, he was surprised that Vayne seemed happy to work there, especially if they were forcing him into dresses. Though Legato didn't want to do it, he needed the money for the gummi ship and his pay in his job right now seemed a bit lackluster.
"Oh no! I completely forgot!" Vayne suddenly said, his ears perking up.
Whatever he forgot, it must be really important if he reacted like that.[/color] Legato thought to himself. What could it be though?
"I meant to go to the Second District and order some beds for the house!"
"Wait what? How did you sleep if you didn't even have any beds?" He asked Vayne amusingly. Legato was a bit confused while a part of him found it a bit funny that he forgot to by beds for his house.
"Legato, will you wait here for just a bit? I won't be too long, I promise!" He quickly said, getting up and rushing towards the second district.
"Sure." He said back to him, but he doubted that Vayne could actually hear him. Stuck with nothing to do, Legato slouched a bit in his chair, Bored.
