In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Nickname: Isai(Ee-sye) or pronounced the same -- ISY (his initials).
Age: 147 years. Appearance of 20
Gender: Male
Species: Humanoid
Position: Light
Powers:
Isaiah is a light/white mage from the world of Maguscus (May-Guh-Skus). The entire population has devoted it's life to the study of magic, knowledge, and the beyond outside of their own world. There are multiple mage categories for those that live in Maguscus. Light, Dark, Color, and a Magi(a mage with traits of all classes). Isaiah primarily uses 'light' magic but has strange and unique traits of a Magi never seen before by his people.
General spells:
Teleport: A channeled spell that allows him to consume a large amount of MP to move to another world or location. Can only teleport to a previous location that he has been to and witnessed with his own eyes. If an attempt to teleport to a location that no longer exists, is blocked by a solid object, or object that can not be moved by the portal, the spell will fail and nothing will happen. After teleporting to target location Isai must wait for his subconscious to rest. Depending on how far away the target location is changes the time it takes. Takes 10 seconds to cast. The first five to create a portal at the target location and the next 5 to open a link to his location allowing him to flow through.
Phase Shift: An instant ability that allows him to change mage class phases. Since Isai is not a complete Magi, he must phase his mind into a class in order to use its abilities. This allows him to use abilities all other Maguscan's that are not Magi rank could not, however, enables his enemy to prepare as it's obvious what spell category he will be casting. MP cost: 0 at an instant speed. Can be done any time. It's easy to tell when Isai Phase Shifts because his robe will reflect his current class. White for light, Black for dark, and Blue for color. Magi differs from Maguscan to Maguscan (some are red, some are rainbow, and some are even green). Default class: White
---
Light/White spells:
Light Shield: Creates an aura around Isaiah nulling some damage from enemy spells or physical hits. Not all damage can be nulled, however. The spell is generally used when avoiding a large damaging blow/spell. MP cost: 200, however, cannot be cast more than once every two turns.
Warp Light: Isaish throws a ball of light at a target destination in which expands into a large plate-like shape that slows anything that moves through it.
Stun Light: Isaish throws the same ball of light as Warp Light only instead sends it directly at a target. If it makes contact it can create a shield around the enemy keeping them in place for about 1 to 2 seconds.
Beam Light: A chargeable spell that takes about 2 seconds to cast. After channeled a beam of bright white light charges target destination dealing massive damage to any targets that it hits at the speed of light. Weaker enemies are often decimated by the ability. Cannot be cast more than once every two turns.
Light Shift: Isaiah's body is broken down into bright white particles in which vanish and reform at light speed in a distance from 0 to 20 yards.
Cure: A small cure that does little, yet beneficial healing to a target ally or self.
---
Dark spells:
Light Leach: Can create and orb of darkness around a small area in which has no light within it causing an area of pitch black. The orb can be passed through and is primarily used to confuse a target. Generally speaking, if he casts the orb around his target for the first time most wouldn't tend to realize that the area of darkness is only barely surrounding them and one step in any direction would mean being in the light again. Only usable once every two turns. Used to buy time.
Wall: Creates a think, weak, wall 3 feet high and 5 feet long that floats where desired. Most fighters could walk through it like water. Used to buy time. Remains active for 3 seconds tops.
---
Color spells:
Icicle Barrage: Summons icicles to fly at and assault a target enemy. Stronger in areas with water or ice. Weaker in areas without. MP cost: 500
Flame Orb: Summons a ball of flame from his hands that is launched at the enemies location. If contact is not made Isai can detonate it like a bomb exploding it to damage the surrounding area of the orb. Stronger in heated environments or dry environments. Weaker elsewhere. MP cost: 500
Bolt: Summons a bolt of lighting to attack target grounded location. A flash is seen before the bolt darts from the sky. MP cost: 500
---
Magi (Limit Break Phase):
Cataclysm: If pushed to the edge, low on MP, low on HP, and desperate for a way out, Isaiah can, in desperation, Limit Break into a 10 second lasting Magi phase that he cannot completely control. His robe and hair changes into that of a rainbow color. Lighting will spark from the sky as he uses his right hand to cast Light spells and his left to cast Dark spells. The combination in this phase is: Left hand Mana Leach, Right Hand Warp Light, and end with a series of Bolt spells before exhausting his resources.
Occasionaly the combination changes to Mana Leach, Stun Light, Beam Light for a last ditch finishing blow. Once the Phase is completed he will default back into a Light phase, generally collapsing from MP exhaustion. MP exhaustion to a Maguscan is the mind meeting it's current limit to cast spells. MP on his world is commonly referred to as 'Mind Power'.
---
Other spells include simple, obvious magic abilities such as fire that require little MP and do minor damage. And are only castable in his Color Spell phase.

Appearance:
Isaiah has bright, bright blonde hair that almost looks white from a distance. He wears a robe much like the Organization, however, it's a classic White Mage robe from the older FF games. It's all white with red triangles surrounding the bottom of the robe. The arms of the robe reach to his rist and also have the same red triangles at the end of the arm. Under the robe he wears brown, leather, boots. His pupils are white surrounded by an edge color of blue. He appears to be about 20-24 years old due to the ancient magics of the Magascus. There is also a hood on the robe that is white as well with the same red triangles around it's edge. There isn't much to his appearance outside of the robe, his eyes, his young looking face, and his white/blonde hair other than his normal looking hands and the leather boots that can be seen under the edge of the robe. If one must know underneath the robe is a pair of tight fitting pants that go down and tuck into the boots as well as a matching tight shirt. His hair style is short, and flat other than the bangs that point outward (Haha, just like mine!).
Personality:
Isaiah was generally looked down by his elders before Magascus' fall due to his unique sense of humor and way of thinking. He's very laid back and over-confident in his own abilities. However, his unique style of thinking has allowed him to phase between different class of magics unlike anyone else on Maguscus. He's always had talent for finding answers to questions of knowledge and magic before others. He excelled on in Magascus' magic school at a younger age than everyone else (A Maguscan starts magic school that lasts for 20 years before graduation onto further duties when they are deemed ready. Most start at the age of 20, Isai started at 10). He prefers the White class of magic due to it's defensive, healing, and control abilities as Isaiah generally does what he can to avoid violence. A Maguscan is SWORE to avoid fighting, killing, and destruction at ALL costs unless deemed necesarry to save another, themselves, or for a legitimate purpose otherwise. Isaiah follows this code to the best of his abilities. He's definitely not anti-social. He's very comofortable around people but tends to stay quiet around those he doesn't know very well. He does have a sore spot for the Hearltess since the expirement that Maguscus held backfired and resulted in their own destruction. He disregards his teachings to destroy every one on sight with ultimate proficiancy.
Original World: Maguscus Current World: Traverse Town
History:
Isaiah was born and raised on the world of Maguscus. The world is a world of pure knowledge and magic. There are no other true classes of the inhabitants truly excepted to them. Because of their drive to understand and learn more about the art of magic and knowledge they have designed the ability to live for hundreds of years before dying. This allowed the world to live longer and work longer toward greater understanding. Isaiah spent most of his life studying white magic (aka Light Mage) but always inspired to be a Magi. Magi on his world were often leaders of great magic power able to cast any and all magic they had ever learned. Unlike most Maguscan's that can only have traits of one class before becoming wise enough to develop their mind for Magi abilities, Isai has a rare gift of being able to phase his mind in and out of the different styles of magic.
Isaiah has studied magic for 137 years after starting 10 years earlier than normal at the age of 10. Every Maguscan ages differently in ratios of physical aspect to actual age and Isaiah has somehow maintained a 20 year old look whereas most his age would look 40. Unfortunately, Isai was often looked down upon growing up by his elders for taking different approaches at finding answers to questions of magics and his classes than what were traditionally accepted. However, his approaches often worked out more efficient.
The Maguscans knew of the Heartless for a couple years. Many strived to learn as much about them as possible due to their recent appearance and unique nature. One day, after assembling a plan and a team of combat magi and other Maguscans they developed an expirement in which was designed to attract the Heartless to the worlds so they could capture and study them. Isaiah only knew tiny bits of the experiment by hear say so he couldn't really be sure how exactly they went about it. Unfortunately, the underestimation of the Hearltess, and their own overconfidence in their own magic lead to their demise. It was assumed that the Heartless were few in number due to having never seen them in the years Maguscus existed.
Eventually a what seemed to be the start to a war with the Heartless turned into a short-lived battle. Every Maguscan, including Isaiah, was summoned to fight off the Heartless onslaught as what seemed like thousands and thousands arrived through the expirement unexpectedly. He fought along side the oldest and wisest of all Maguscans and bore witness to the death of hundreds of Maguscans. The world was swallowed by the Hearltess and Isaiah refused to die. As of now he has woken up on Traverse Town; the only known living Maguscan left. The only known warrior of knowledge of Maguscan calibor. The only known Maguscan left with a thirst for revenge against the Heartless.
Role Playing Sample:
After hours of fighting the Heartless that had arrived on Maguscus Isaiah was starting to weary of fatigue. Allasore, the oldest and most looked up to Maguscan of them all fought along side of Isaiah throughout the fight, but Isaiah could definitely tell Allasore was starting to fall fate of fatigue as well. The Heartless began to get bigger, bigger, and bigger. Eventually Heartless had arrived that were the size of sky-scrapers. It took multiple Maguscans to take them down. Isaiah looked around him and watched as the destruction of his home world was unfolding before him. Buildings were tumbling down, his friends were screaming in fear in some areas as the Heartless overwhelmed them. He knew why: Maguscans had next to zero hand to hand combat abilities. The longer a fight went on the sooner a Maguscan would lose due to the mind falling prey to fatigue, also known as MP loss. The screams where those of scared Maguscans... dying Maguscans. It broke Isaiah's heart to know that this could very well be the end of his world; not to mention him.
"ISAI! Focus! We must fight on!" Allasore cried out as he obliterated a larger Heartless with one swift motion of his hand.
"Right!" Isaiah said with confidence as he nodded in understanding.
One of the smaller ones, he remembered from his one year of classes 20 years ago on Heartless was what he remembered to be a Neo Shadow, took a large leap at him through the air. Knowing they were among the weaker of the Heartless. He quickly shifted the sub-concious presence of his mind and instantly his clothing and hair was changed into a blue color. Without hesitation he send a Fire spell toward the Heartless and it was obliterated instantly.
"Mmmm, the offensive magic just doens't have the right feel, ya know Al?" He said jokingly trying to ignore the fact his death was imminent. He turned to Allasore as he said this only to find his elder about to be overcome by two Heartless at once. "Time to do what I do best!" He thought.
His robe and hair again reflected a change in mind as he went back to his white-mage state. Amazingly, Isai was able to cast and protect Allasore with a Light Shield followed by a Cure spell! Allasore turned to Isai and gave a nod of acknowledgement. It was a very rare thing to get such a gesture from someone such as Allasore. Naturally, he figured it was probably due to the lack of moral dwindling around them.
Isaiah was about to ask Allasore what their next move in this war would be but before he had time to do so the sky went black, the ground began to swirl in darkness, and Isaiah finally noticed that in the few seconds he had just spent fighting along side Allasore the final Maguscans in this area had fell fate to death by the Heartless...
"No..." Isai mumbled. "Al.. what's happening!?" He cried out in fear.
"Be strong, Isaiah! We fight to the end!" Allasore cried out in reply.
The darkness around them had grown and grown. There was one humungous Heartless with a huge hole in its stomach area surrounded by hundreds of smaller Neo Shadows.
"There... is just no... way..." He thought to himself as suddenly he was swallowed by darkness as he struggled with all his might to fight it. "NOO! I will not leave them behind! I must... save them! Al!? Allasore! Help!"
Everything then went black.
Questions/Comments/Suggestions?
It may definitely need some work. But the character was made in tribute to the first few games of FF using the white mage style. I wanted to do something reminiscent, yet slightly twisted. Despite originally seeing the large number of spells he has one must note that most are defensive. The stronger ones have their weaknesses and are definitely not near as strong as anything a cannon character may possess. On top of this he doesn't fight others anyways unless deemed to.
I'm afraid that there are a couple of nonos and quirks I'm seeing with this profile, so I'll do my best to explain them.
The whole MP/HP system you've developed for Isiah. I -kind- of understand MP because everyone has a different philosophy about how it should work, but there are a couple of mentions about HP like Health Leech or Cure. Not everyone abides by this arbitrary numbering system, and you can't really say 'Isaiah heals Helena for 200 HP' because Helena doesn't have HP.
Remove Health Leech/Mana Leech altogether and try to find a reasonable substitute that accounts for the possibility of failure - sans the mention of their HP. In other words, there should always be the possibility that Isaiah can't draw magic or energy from other people.
Teleportation is an inherently risky endeavor. With barriers between worlds, I would imagine that a sufficiently huge quantity of magical power is required to cross the barrier. Moreover, it should have huge drawbacks. This is undoubtedly a circumvention to the 'corridor of darkness' rule and needs to be altered accordingly.
The Maguscans couldn't have known about the Heartless for more than eight years, dude! They didn't really spread to other worlds until Xehanort screwed with the world heart of Radiant Garden.
On a technical note, a lot of your paragraphs are bigger than they need to be and should be split according to the train of thought each passage is on. Make it easier to read, please!
And on a story-related note ... if Isaiah was looked down upon because of his overconfidence and way of thinking, why is it that Maguscus fell? Wouldn't they have made wiser choices than Isaiah?
That's all I can think of for now. Seven days to edit ... because I believe I've given you a bit of a headache. x3
Isaiah is one person. They fell due to an overconfidence in their own abilities and a lack of knowledge of the Heartless. They are wsier than him, yes, but the experiment, if especially only knowing about the Heartless for 8 or less years (Was unaware of the time span) they would have not had the sufficient knowledge anyways to truly know what they were getting themselves into. Hence the experiment, and hence the downfall. A society being around that long would naturally be curious to the Heartless and since they HAVE been around so long it wouldn't make much sense to think they would develop into a massive force strong enough to swallow their entire population.
Now we're getting somewhere. I only have a couple of things to bring up this time.
You still haven't completely removed all references to 'MP'. Please try to state his limits with spellcasting in terms of 'posts' ... how many times can he use one particular ability in a thread, for example.
Mana/Health Leech is still mentioned a couple of times. Make sure to remove that.
Please don't refer to time in terms of seconds - it's a rather confusing subject because time is almost always in flux in any given post. Instead, break it down into posts, which is something much more simple that defines the way you approach battles. His 'Warp' ability, for example, would take one post to charge and one post to actually 'move'. However ...
Teleportation needs to be reworked still, especially considering its implications. Let's cite "One day, after assembling a plan ... they developed an expirement in which was designed to attract the Heartless to the worlds so they could capture and study them", for example. "Other worlds" implies the knowledge of other worlds - fair enough, if they were able to scry ala D&D - but one could also infer that they've been to other worlds as well. How is this possible if you need to visit a place at least once in order to teleport to it? I'm assuming that the Maguscan's teleportation abilities were no different than his.
Once those details have been worked out, you need to work more on the drawbacks for teleportation. Like I said, we're talking about pretty serious stuff here. The distance traveled should equate to how much energy is consumed, and even still ... traveling from one world to another should at least put him out of commission for a day at minimum.
Decrease the teleportation distance for 'light shift' to five yards tops. This is essentially like his own 'dodge roll' maneuver, so I can't see him teleporting across a football field in five moves. Also, two more things: if he uses it once every post, it should decrease his available energy at a steady, yet alarming rate (completely exhausting him in under ten posts). However, should he do this once every two posts in a battle, he would reasonably be able to sustain his energy levels for an indeterminate amount of posts. You may be more lax with this when he is using 'cataclysm'.
That's all I can think of for now. Seven more days of happy editing!
