In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

And this isn't to say we won't take people completely new to RPing.
I think the very fact that we have an RP Academy at all shows very much that the staff and the site as a whole is accepting of people new to this style of RP. I've yet to see another RP forum (granted I haven't been looking lately, I'm fine where I'm at) that goes out of it's way to help and instruct members on how to be better. So if telling a member with a new profile ''Your profile is illogical", we also provide aide on how to understand just what that entails.
This all isn't to say that this site is without complication and error. The plot has been in disarray for some years now, harking back to some of the very first notions of adding the Dark XII, bringing back Roxas (which I STILL have problems with), or other such ideas. The fact that it's still around, so popular and well-received and we're only now just starting to turn the plot around into something that can be taken and run around with is a testament to both the tenacity of the staff and members, and the willingness of both parties to come together, and work past differences to make a better product.
The profile acceptance procedures is one of those that needs tweaking. I stepped down pretty quick from my profile internship position because I felt MY level of "acceptable" wasn't as intensive as the WD/Staff level of "acceptable". I don't see it as a conflict of interests, moreso as the desire to see someone who can better do the job to the site's specifications take over in order to give us better characters to work with.
Screws come loose. They are twisted back in a little tighter and the whole thing gets less wobbly. Such is WD.
I don't know why but when I read Rook//Ansem's post I actually felt like listening to him. I get what he's trying to say. But I just wasn't born like that. Sorry if it pisses you off or you hold a grudge against me or anything like that. I just won't really listen to you if I don't respect you. Sure if a teacher say's do your homework I'll do it even if i don't respect him or her. But that's only because it'll benefit me.
Amen, Cadey. You don't pick and choose who you get to listen to when it comes to those who have authority over you. That kind of attitude and it's ensuing actions are what can get you banned from a board for being an asinine and uncooperative member. No one on the staff wants to deal with that, whether you respect them or not.
Bolded in hopes that it will sink in.
You will listen to everyone on staff. Not just interns, STAFF. Respect or no.
