In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The water in the ornate white marble fountain spluttered before stopping completely. A couple of market goers looked up at the sound, faces screwed up in confusion as the fountain fell silent ... for a couple of seconds. The water collected at the bottom of the fountain started bubbling loudly, threatening to overflow and spill out over the market. With a particularly large crash that shook the fountain itself what could be seen to be a pale skinned arm shot out from the wave of water.
'W-what happened? W-where am I?'
He could clearly make out the sun blaring over head, through the few inches of water that remained over his head. His chest rose and fell as Onyx tried to desperately work out what had happened to him. He had just been exploring that underwater cave with Daniel .... then there had been that sudden rush of water ... and then sun. Blinking his dark purple eyes Onyx's hand made contact with the cold algae coated marble that made up the bottom of his new surroundings, slipping slightly as he was unable to get a solid hold of ... whatever it was. He froze, flipping himself over as best he could in the shallow water, careful to avoid fluking his tail. Cold? In fact that entire body of water was frankly freezing despite the bright sun that shone over head. How was that possible?! The water back home had always been pleasantly warm despite the changing of the tides and the great depths at which they lived.
The Mereboy could hear the murmurings of voices somewhere just out of view as if their owners were right next to him. Some people sounded worried, others amused .. either way his presence was clearly not going unnoticed.
On a rooftop, a dark swirl of darkness opened, and a cloaked figure stepped through it, standing on the edge of the rooftop. As he overlooked the town of Olympus, Xaldin looked for something that had perked his interest as he surveyed it from the ground.
Now, he overlooked the fountain where he had seen the strange movement, and his thought was confirmed. There was a shape in it, akin to the girl he had back at the castle.
With a raising of his hand, a wind suddenly blew through the town, so strong that it forced all the bystanders away into the nearest house. However, the area around the fountain was untouched, and Xaldin used a portal to step towards that area, overlooking the fountain, hood still up.
Great, as if things couldn't have gotten any worse. Onyx likened the raised wind as a signal that a storm was quickly approaching. He doubted that the shallow water he had found himself in would have much defence against a fully fledged storm. Sometimes even from the great depths of Atlanta the sand would be whipped up and there would be new 'boaets' would be scattered about the ocean floor, and that was hundreds of thousands meters under the water's surface.
Onyx tried to grab at the slippery surface below him, trying to get a grip and be prepared for the storm that was about to hit. Due to this it took him a while to notice the shadow looming over himself. However, once he had ..... he blinked up at the dark .... thing? He couldn't hear any clear noise coming from the thing.
To be on the safe side he extended the spines along his forearms, prepared to fight of the creature if need be.
A flash of anger went through Xaldin, and he redirected the winds, using them to blow the water all out of the fountain, exposing the boy at the bottom of it. With a dismissive glance around, Xaldin stepped towards the boy, Dragoons appearing to his immediate right and left.
"Well, it seems that I have found another one...And a male at that."
His Dragoons then proceeded to surround the boy, moving as only a Nobody minion could. Their lances danced in their hands as they awaited the xent order from their master.
Onyx's hands automatically went to his throat, expecting to feel the suffocating sensation that came with breathing pure above-water (air). Instead his attention was drawn by the pink, almost blinding, light that seemed to be radiating off his lower body. What in th-
A pair of two spindly looking legs appeared in place of his powerful tail, causing Onyx's heartbeat to quicken. What was going on?! Why had he taken on the appearance of a hooman?
Disoriented by everything that was going on, the Merman decided that attack was his only way out. Holding his arms across his torso as a shield, he sent poison running threw the barbs lengths, turning their tips translucent. Hissing, in what he hoped was a threatening manner, Onyx prepared to fight off the .... things.
"Staaay away!"
((For a note, he is now wearing a pair of ragged army green shorts to keep this PG ;D)
An amused eyebrow was cocked as he overlooked the sight before him, looking at the barbs with curiosity. He made one of the Dragoons rush the boy, purposefully hitting them, then felt the connection between him and the Nobody dim as the poison took effect. The other Dragoons had backed up as Xaldin stepped closer to the boy, wrapping himself in a wind that would deflect a physical attack from the...thing before him.
"My, my...now, is there much need for that? Do you really think you can best me, even with your poison? You simple being, there is no way you will kill me."
And with that, he used wind to pin the boy's arms to his sides and lifted him with a rope of air around his middle, as Xaldin floated in front of the boy, looking in Onyx's face for something.
"You'll make a fine specimen, but to take you away or set you free for the moment being...Choices, choices...
Onyx felt a temporary state of celebration as he managed to fight off the strange dragon creature with his spines, feeling their sharp tips dig deep into the so call armoured skin. Though his poison was not yet potent enough to kill it was strong enough to immobilise anyone or anything that came into contact with it. If only the other creatures would rush him in a similar manner instead of backing off as they were now. Maybe he would have a chance of escape. A chance to try and work out what exactly was happening.
On hearing the dark one's comment, the Mereboy let out another threatening hiss. Onyx didn't want to kill anyone if he could help it. He just wanted to be left alone. Just when he was thinking about giving the dark creature a full answer, the Atlantican's arms gained a life of their own. No matter how hard he tried he could not pry them free!! It was as if some incredible force was being placed on them, the same force that was now lifting the teenager up into the non-water.
"Let me go! Leave me to be free!" He cried, throwing himself from side to side in an attempt to escape whatever it was that was holding him in place.
Eyes wide and glaring he tried to peer into his attacker's face, his normal perfect night-vision affected by the blazing sun above them. He could feel said sun drying the remaining water from his skin, making him feel all the more uncomfortable.
"Who are you? What I done to you? Leave me alone!!" He continued to half demand and partly beg. He just wanted his freedom!
A low chuckle emerged from the between the lips of the Whirlwind Lancer, as he continued to observe the boy before him. He watched him struggle, he heard him beg. Sadly, the boy's pleads were futile.
"Relax, I'm not going to kill you, unless you don't prove...useful. My Organization is seeking new allies, and I feel you would get along with the other specimen I have at the castle. Now, if you value your life, you will tell me what I want to know, and you will comply. Disobey, and I will terminate you."
The Lancer looked over his body again, and then put his face right before Onyx's.
"Tell me your name, and what world you hail from. And don't get any ideas of lying to me."
Onyx had no idea what his attacker was going on about, besides, he was much more interested in finding a way back into the water below, if not to escape, to replenish the moisture that was seeping out of his pores. What did it matter what world, whatever that was, he was from! Gasping slightly as his body came to terms with the lack of 'available' oxygen around him, Onyx tried once more to free himself from his invisible bonds by whipping his powerful tail back and forth.
Trying to focus on the hooman in front of him, he tried to way out his options. If he just tried to answer his stupid questions then maybe he would be able to get back to the water and therefore his brain would have energy to work out of a way out of here.
"M-my name is Onyx .. Rockpool." Here he took a deep breath as if to continue, however, it was at this point that the pearl around his neck began to glow ominously.
With no idea what was happened, the merteen put it down to another of the Dark Hooman's tricks, an attempt to confuse him further. Hissing angrily, he tried to strike out at the hooman that had been inches away.
However, the bright light that had engulfed him entirely from the torso down, distracted him and ruined his aim. Halting his attack, Onyx watched as his lower body seemed to re-shape itself, the light only dying down when the transformation had finished taking place. The merteen couldn't take his eyes off of the two ..... legs, that were currently located where his tail had once been.
Eyes darting back to the hooman, Onyx hissed even louder than before, if that was indeed possible.
A twinge of annoyance went through Xaldin, and he was tempted to seal the merman's mouth shut with air as he made a transformation. The legs now appeared, and he smiled slightly, his hypothesis proven to be true. Though this one would be a good cellmate for his other merperson, he was curious as to how long this one could live out of water. And he had just the evil plan.
"I did nothing to you. It seems that, somehow, you have attained a human form...I wonder how well you would adapt to it..."
Suddenly, an idea came to him, and with a downward wave of his hand, he let the wind die down. He grabbed Onyx, his bonds of wind still working, and dragged him right next to his face.
"You will have your freedom. Sadly, it won't be as you think."
As a portal opened behind Xaldin, he removed the wind bonds and pushed Onyx towards the portal, crossing his arms.
"Either go through this portal to a new world, or be forced to go to my world and be my prisoner. You have your chance to escape, so why don't you take it?"
What sort of choice was that? For all he knew the strange vortex would take him to one of those glass buildings that he had been told Hoomans stored fish that they liked to look at. He would be a prisoner either way.
He tried to 'kick' out at the hooman to show his displeasure but couldn't work out which muscles to move to be able to do so, only resulting in a shiver that ran the length of his newly formed legs. Renewing his attempt to free himself now that the invisible bonds had been lifted, Onyx managed to free his arms only to find himself falling through the air towards the newly summoned portal. Realising that he had been released on purpose, Onyx attempted to spin himself round, desperately flailing in order to hault his progress.
However, it was in vain. As he slipped into the portal he made sure to memorise the face of his tormentor. He would pay for this.
