In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The roar of the crowd brought Arthas' excitement to a boiling point as he walked into the middle of the square, his Struggle bat held at his side. As he reached the middle, his arm raised and he pointed his bat forward, in the direction his opponent would enter.
Nothing could stop this warrior now. The title was as good as his, and he was 100% sure that the victory would be a cinch.[/size]

As V walked into the middle of the square, excitement enrupted from inside of her. 'This is it!' she thought happily. She couldnt believe it...she had actually made it to the last round of the struggle tournament! If she had to think back on it, if she had been the same person she was before Shira left her there would be no doubt she wouldve lost in the first match. But that didnt matter now, she made it! And now...victory was sure to be her's. She looked up into the crowd of unfamiliar faces, hoping to find her love amongst them. She didnt, but that was alright...for she knew even though she couldnt see him that he was there, cheering her on just like he always did. Which was more than enough for her.
She smiled as she looked at her opponent, and holding her bat firmly in her hand said politely. "Hi! Well...you already know my name. Its nice to meet you Arthas! Lets have fun, and make this the best struggle match ever!" The girl was pumped, ther was no way she was going to lose now. 'I will prove myself...' she thought, determination now beaming from her eyes. She held out her bat infront of her in a defensive position, and with a confident grin waited for the roundto begin.
As he shifted his bat from defense to offense, he let his feet slide apart, then lunged at the girl. However, he jumped back just before reaching her, taking a light swipe at her defense.
V was more than well prepared for her opponents attack. She watches as he lunged at her, and taking notice of his feet moving back jumped so to avoid his swipe at her. two can play at that game. she thought, and thinking out her move dashed towards him. However, just like him before she reached him she jumped back slightly, and holding out her bat horizontally spun around behind him. The blue edge of the bat tapping at his side.
The girl did not hesistate to move, she picked up two of the orbs that fell upon the ground, and jumping away from her opponent awaited his next move.
With a leap back, Arthas watched as the girl took a couple of his orbs, disappointed she had landed a blow but not in serious trouble of loss.
So he changed his plan, once again charging, but this time, shifted him momentum as he was about to pass her, knocking orbs from her lower body as opposed to her upper portion, then rolled away from her, twisting and holding his sword in front of him to guard.
V anticipated her opponents next attack, but she had reacted so slowly that he managed to get a hit on her. Making her drop some orbs, she dashed around the square. Picking up a few orbs as she did. She then made sure to keep her distance from Arthas, and holding up her bat in a defensive position, awaited his next move.
Come on V! she shouted angrily inside her head.now is not the time to be distracted!
And how right she was, there was no room for mistakes. So the girl would need to be wary about her opponents attacks, and make sure not to make a fool out of herself like in her battle with renzo. Just the remembrance of what happened during that match made the girl go red with embarrassment. But that didn't matter now! New battle, new plan. And she would make sure this plan would not backfire on her in the end.
"I'm impressed. You didn't get here through luck!"
As he expected, the girl went back on the defensive, meaning he would have to change his old plan of attack and defend. nstead, he held the bat like he would his katana, then rushed the girl again, sword held behind him as he got low. From any angle, it would seen he was going for a leg sweep, but upon reaching her, he rose his left hand against her Struggle Bat, seperating it from his body. Then, with a twist, his right hand swung the bat at the girl, where his left hand released her bat for a second after his attack.
Well this didnt bode well, she was pretty much open for a wide range attack! And at this point, the girl couldnt really afford to lose any orbs. There had to be a way out of this, she knew it! She just...had to come up with the answer. So just as the man swung at her with his bat, she did just that. Suddenly a smile appeared on her face, and appearing more confident than usual did not hesistate to react. Just before the bat reached her, she ducked to avoid the blow. Then after his left hand had released her bat for a second, she jumped to the side rolling on the ground as she did before standing back up again.
She then displayed her next move, the girl then rushed at the man this time, not willing to give him any time to prepare. From any one elses point of view, it would seem like V was gonna take Arthas head on. But that was not the case. As she became only one foot away from him, she alarmingly jumped into the air, and doing a flip over him stuck her batout, gently tapping the top of his head. The girl then landed on ground softly, and rolling around picked up some orbs before turning back to her opponent.
Well, this was certainly a change of plan on the opponent's part. Arthas didn't expect such athleticism, but was able to make the right decision. As she knocked some of his orbs off with the brush to the top of his head, he swung his bat and knocked several away from V, then rushed at her as she rolled, jumping in the air when she had to regain momentum on her last roll. With a flashy twist, he swung his bat through the air.
And smiled when it came into contact with her arm. After he hit, he flipped back on his free hand and held his bat up, once again pointed at the girl.
he's good... V thought, as she rushed to the side to regain some of the orbs she had lost from her opponents attack. She jumped back so that there was some distance between the two. And holding her bat like she would with her scythe hibiki, suddenly lunged towards arthas. Her body turning horizontal as she spinned with alarming speed.
For a minute, V looked almost like a side-ways tornado! And soon her bat made contact with the man's stomach. The slight pause in-between that, then gave the girl enough time to jump back. But not without feeling slightly dizzy. nngh...not...good... she murmured, as the area around her turned. Everything seemed so...disoriented...as if she could actually feel the world's rotation around the sun.
She tried straigtening herself up, but only managed to stumble a bit as she tried to collect some of the orbs. i've...got to pay attention! she shouted out loud inside her head, her vision finally starting to clear up. She looked at Arthas, and holding out her bat in a defensive position waited for his next move.
As the bat came near his stomach, Arthas rocked back onto his heels, only allowing it to brush a coupe of orbs off his body, then changed his momentum as he rocked forward, lunging at the disoriented girl. She attempted to defend, but Arthas saw she still had vertigo from the spinning attack.
So he faked going to the right, went left instead, and swung at the exposed part of her body, right below her belt. And, since he had to stoop when swinging, he turned the rest of the movement into a roll, and ended up behind V, brushing off a few more orbs and picking them up, his bat ready to block her next attack.
As the man got behind V, she instantly did a quick spin attack pushing him far away from her. She then dashed towards him, and looking as if she was about to do a straight frontal attack simply shocked everyone. The girl jumped, and saumersaulting on the ground went right in-between Arthas's legs. She then quickly turned towards him, and holding out her bat tapped his right shoulder collecting the orbs that fell out.
She then spun to the side of him, and hitting his side brushed off a couple orbs collecting them just as they hit the ground. The girl knew she had to keep her distance from the man then, she quickly jumped in the air doing asmall backflips, and smiling pointed her bat straight at the man. Its weird.... she thought looking up at her opponent, but in a way...this is actually sort of...fun!
The girl's shoulders relaxed for a bit, she lowered her bat for a second and continuing to smile said to Arthas. "No matter who wins...I wanna thank you for making this an incredible experience." The girl then laughed, but then getting straight back into her serious faze added. "But don't think I'm giving up yet! I'm gonna do my best to win this tournament!" At the end of that sentence V got into a defensive stance.
Those hits that the girl pulled off were rather impressive, and Arthas smiled back at her.
"Relax. I expected no less then your best!" As he watched her point her bat, he instantly rushed at her and aimed a powerful strike upwards at her bat, then aimed his opposing elbow at her midsection, rolling while still extending his hand until the last second.
As he rolled away, he didn't wait for her react and attacked again, this time focusing on avoiding her bat and using small taps. Then, he handspringed out of the way and got a good distance between the two.
As the man rushed at her, V instantly jumped back avoiding her opponents elbow from reaching her stomach. Then, as she regained a firm grip on her bat she did her best to block Arthas's next attack. Though she ended up getting tapped once or twice on her left shoulder. She tried to pick up some of the orbs, then closing the space between her opponent and her, she tapped him on the side and collecting what few orbs fell out jumped to the side to avoid any tricksArthas would pull.
