In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

WATERCOLORS (bein random)
o3o chaa they already said the top ones I used. Also Gimp is free...unlike the other two, which is like a generic photoshop. You can get a trial version of Sai.
o.o I need an actual photoshop. All I have is Elements, which I got with my Bamboo FUN tablet. But it costs so much, and I don't have a student discount for it as far as I know.
I use Paint Tool Sai and Photoshop Elements. The former is absolutely brilliant for a tablet artist; it makes the most beautiful brush strokes out of the shiz ones anybody pumps out with a sensitive tabbie pen. xD But after the drawing itself, Photoshop or Gimp is a must for text, moving the image around, adding enhancements, and the like. Much more user-friendly.
Example:
I have a side job of graphic design, and do ads for clients of an acquaintance's local newspaper. I'd never use Sai. Photoshop is very good for pretties like photo manipulation and design.
I also like drawing. I still use Photoshop, but for the most part that's where Sai comes in. It is actually very different than Photoshop in this aspect, with many settings that make your brush or penstrokes smoother. There's a 'water' tool that is very characteristic of Sai. Most of the time, when I see a painting that was made in this program, I can identify it. I'm not too sure what it is.
And Gimp is a good mix of both, though slightly lower quality due to the fact that it is a free program. However, I used it for years.
I'm not sure about programs like Painter and Illustrator, I only tried the latter once, and not for long.
- Whichever program you choose, make sure you learn how to add brushes!
- As far as sharing, you don't do that from the program itself. You save it and upload from places like Photobucket. I suggest either PNG or GIF formats - you CAN use .JPEG or .JPG if you have a high resolution and save in high quality. Otherwise, there will be noticable quality loss. I send my ads off in either .JPEG or PDF format.
And by the way, Koko. There is nothing wrong with Paint. I personally loved the program before they botched it with Windows 7. The program doesn't make the artist. ;]
