Name: Selphie Tilmitt
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Position: Good
Powers: At the moment, Selphie never tapped in or ever was in contact with a magical boon to utilize. In the eyes around her, she’s just an ordinary girl without anything extraordinary or supernatural.
Weapon: Selphie is often seen carrying a jump rope, but with a little tinkering here and there and some munny, she was able to construct a meteor hammer, roped weaponry with two heavy weights at the end. It felt completely natural to get the swing of things, since it was like her jump rope, but with more weight. She even have a pair of nunchaku that she have pocketed on her sides, while she carries the meteor hammer rolled up or braided and draped around her neck.
Also she have her handy dandy pepper spray, and isn’t afraid to spray your eyes out!
Picture(optional):
Appearance: With a little growth spurt and a year behind her back, Selphie reached above five feet. Her skin is a bit tanned from the constant sun; even if she remained in the shade, she received a little pigmentation from the outdoors. Her brunette hair is straight, but Selphie is known for giving it the perfect curlirific curl and bounce to it. Her eyes shine brighter than her smile with a luminous shade of green, which hardly seems to dim down.
Her favorite color is louder than her personality, yellow. Her wardrobe consists of a yellow mini skirt with a pocket at the lower left side with a matching zipped tank top, but the straps still resembles those on overalls. The tank top does stops below her rib cage, so to stop feeling overly exposed and breezy, underneath it she wears a white blouse. The short sleeves are generally found draped along her arms rather than on her shoulders. To top it off, she wears her brown cowgirl boots. It does get sweaty in there, but pain does come with beauty. Too bad she hasn’t found a perfect hat.
She keeps a necklace with an opal round gem around her neck. It always catches the sun some brightly. It can be entertaining when she’s bored.
Personality:
Selphie is a joyful, bubbly, spunky spirit. She always tends to be happy, smiling, and always emphasize the sunny side of any sticky situation. Selphie can be a bit random at times to the point people may think she blurts anything out for a shock factor, even if she can be serious or joking. Being raised with friends such as: Wakka, Tidus, Sora, Riku, and Kairi, she can get down and dirty if she had to. Although, she can be quite girly, Wakka and Tidus had rubbed off on her after watching them play Blitzball numerous of times. Originally Selphie was very carefree until her world fell to darkness.
Those who knew her well would witness not an extreme difference in her behavior. She uses her natural childish and playful nature to block away and ignore any sadness or depression. Selphie doesn’t like to be blue or dragged down, since it hurts. To keep up a smile, she tends to focus on other people and distract herself with them. Regardless she can be such a girl such as: making sure her hair is picture perfect, being selective with her wardrobe, and even being quite the romantic. Whether she’s a true romantic at heart or just uses people love life to boost up her happiness is unknown, since not many truly talk to find out Selphie’s own thoughts.
Despite the years of maturity, Selphie will certainly whine at particular scenarios when things doesn’t go according to plan or her way, but if it’s a serious predicament, she can get quite worrisome and become a hermit uncertain in what to do.
As she got older, she did start to find her own interest for she can have something to entertain herself with while Wakka and Tidus play together…with balls, the usual. She began tinkering with computers as soon as she got a laptop, simple and easy to travel with. It doesn’t take a lot of effort to put it in a proper sling back pack, chuck it in her row boat, go the play island, and be on her laptop not too far from the boys. What more can a girl asks for, she can play referee, listen to the wonders of music, and be on her laptop. Actually with her new fondness, she can keep herself occupied without feeling too lonely if everyone is too busy.
Original World: Destiny Island
Current Residing World: Destiny Island
History/Background:
On Destiny Island, Selphie was raised in a friendly neighborhood and a pretty much tight knit community. In her neighborhood, she was raised with Sora, Riku, Wakka, and Tidus. With the main island being a busy place with cars and so on, the children were advised and encourage playing on the play islands, which was constructed for their enjoyment. The need to be supervised decreased, but something strange did happen at one night.
It looked like the sky vomited pretty little stars all over the night sky. Selphie remembered watching thinking it was amazing, and even tried to good ole make a wish. Instead of a clear answer of what she wanted, Destiny Island was blessed by a newcomer, a strange girl stranger to the world. Sora had spotted her, and it wasn’t long until it reached the adults’ ears. The new girl was taken into care immediately. Selphie had grown to know her as Kairi, a foreigner adopted by the mayor who didn’t remembered her home or past.
Imagining that something like that would be troublesome to deal with, Selphie didn’t pester her too much on the subject. Instead she occupied Kairi with other conversations and even got involved with sparing with the boys. She heard about Sora’s, Riku’s, and Kairi’s expedition to find and visit new worlds; although it seemed quite far fetched, Selphie had always thought it was some sort of game of imagination rather than something real, nor did she felt so connected with the trio compared to how she was with Wakka and Tidus. Instead of getting wrapped up in their wonderland, Selphie kept an eye on the boys and jump with her rope.
One night she had a horrible nightmare of a big black thingy haunting and chasing her. It frightened her to the brink of tears, which is abnormal for her cherry nature. She found herself in Trabia Garden and was taken into their orphanage along with other children who randomly emerged in the world. Entering the world at the age of twelve, Selphie wasn’t eligible to a part of this thing called SeeDs, but it didn’t bother her any, yet she was intrigued about it. She never stayed in Trabia Garden to be amongst the SeeDs; out of nowhere, there was a stream of light in the sky like the night Kairi was found, and Selphie opened her eyes to find herself back at the island.
It made everything feel like a dream, and wonder if she should question what had occurred. Feeling it would make everything so unnecessarily complex; Selphie never mentioned it to her friends and tried to push it to the back of her head. She just wanted to make everything go back to normal and not remember the nightmares of big black things and doom. What she did notice the halt of route back to normality…Riku and Sora wasn’t around anymore. She always wondered what happened to them, and when she returned she spotted Kairi in tears. When she felt it was safe, Selphie would skillfully strike a conversation than slowly change the subject asking about them. What she received was ‘they were far away and would come back soon’. Believing Kairi, she simply nodded, but it wasn’t long before she forgot about Sora, while still missing Riku’s presence. During the age of 14, Selphie’s life was relatively normal; after a while Kairi was hard to find and waiting for the boys to finish their games became tiresome. Her main entertainment came with a gift of a laptop she took to the play islands with her.
The return of Sora and Riku made her begin thinking, since they were somewhere quite far away beyond the islands. She always wondered where they could’ve ran off to, since days in the islands were getting old despite how bright she smiles. Perhaps the grass is much greener somewhere else.
Role Playing Sample:
With a sigh, Selphie’s eye lids twitched seeing the bright orange peaking through them. Opening them, she wasn’t surprise to see the same sunset she saw every evening with the same sounds of the crashing waves that was a few inches short of getting her towel wet. She didn’t want to get sand on her today. The little sun that peered through heated the bit of her exposed stomach. Feeling a little breezy, she reached down to wiggle her yellow miniskirt up and tugged her white blouse that small sleeves draped down her shoulders before patting down her zipped up yellow tank-top.
No one wanted to come to the islands with her…again. It was becoming a trend now more than ever, but with her small company such as: an mp3 player. Selphie hardly complained as the song echoed in her ears as she turned to her side staring at the beach. Her fingers dug into the beach before clawing at it feeling the sand fall between them. They wiggled of their own volition to free the sand from underneath her pedicure nails. Hey a girl has to do something when she bored, and pampering herself was an easy task. Her hair was already curled to perfection as it grew down her back. Selphie didn’t roll on her stomach before looking at a grain of sand and tilted her head at it.
It had a purpose…to be amongst the rest of the sand, and it was hardly alone.
“If a grain of sand was to dream what would it dream? But you can’t tell me a thing, you’re just a speck of sand, dirt, and you don’t have a heart, and everyone knows a dream is a wish the heart makes.” Feeling a chill, Selphie jumped only to find her pendant to her necklace. Her hand gripped it admiring the grooves with her thumb as she thought out loud. “What do I dream?”
She remembered one night dreaming of an hardcore FLIGHT in the night. There she was in a front seat of her very own rose hued spacecraft blasting for the sake of blasting in beautiful streams of red. Anything it impacted it erupted in flashes of warm fiery lights with a thick explosive boom that filled her ears with the musical selection that she decided to blast throughout her space question.
“Weeee We’re Flying!” She squealed as the spacecraft zoomed to her will blasting fellow opposing spacecraft, “Smithereens!”
Snapping out of it, Selphie found herself staring at the ocean, “It was sooo pretty, all of that red. I-it was like blood, rich dark blood blasting everywhere! That’s what I dream soaring with my music with blood!”
