In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Well this was just great. Just great indeed. Trudging through a thin layer of snow as more poured down wasn't all that fun, especially when you keep stubbing your toe on a rock. "Maybe I should get some shoes or something...nah." Walking barefoot was way more comfortable for the wolf boy anyway. He rubbed his arm as he leaned against a wall, feeling the chill of the cold stone as he watched people walk by.
Earlier today he had woken up in an alley, a bit disoriented from the attack of those black "bugs". Once he came back to his senses, he found himself here. In this odd town called Traverse Town. From what he could gather by looking around, he was in the First District of the town, or whatever that meant. All he knew was one thing, he was far from home.
As he looked on at the streets he noticed a few people giving him looks. Well he wasn't human, so he could understand why their were giving him looks. What else would you do if you saw a half naked boy with wolf ears and a tail out in the cold? At least the cold doesn't bother me people, now...what to do? he thought to himself as he looked on into the streets.
Vayne was walking home from working at the Cafe, the place he now earned Munny from since he could no longer work at Dark Intentions. It was just as fun, but for different reasons. He still got to sing, but it was only to himself as he worked in the back, baking sweets and cleaning up in-between putting stuff into the oven and taking stuff out. The people there didn't mind, and Vayne was glad for the job, but he also no longer got to pick out his outfits.
They were gracious enough to at least allow him to wear the waitress uniform instead of the waiter one. It wasn't that bad, kind of like a blue version of a maid's uniform. Vayne would never admit it, but he loved the apron for specifically that reason.
I wonder if I could get a job as a maid at the Hotel to pay for my room instead, so that maybe I can save up for myself for once instead of worrying about where I'll be living next week...
Vayne sighed, ascending the stairs beside the Accessory Shop's top floor (where those adorable things called Moogles lived) and as he did so, caught sight of... someone else with cat ears?
Vayne stopped, and then went over to the person. It was a guy who was older than he was (but almost everyone in Traverse Town could say that), and he wasn't wearing a shirt or shoes. Vayne found that more than a little odd...
As Sol watched people pass by him, he noticed a boy coming towards him. Why was that kid taking an interest in him? Was because he wasn't wearing much? Well that may have been the obvious reason. Though, something about the kid didn't seem right. Well the obvious thing about the kid was that he had cat ears. Okay...don't see that everyday... He thought to himself as he watched the kid.
He asked the werewolf if he was cold, guess that would seem like the case. Though Sol didn't really feel cold. His body was made to handle cold weather, since he was in a way part wolf. So his body temperature was abnormally hot. "Nah, if your me then you learn how to handle the cold. Hey, you wouldn't happen to know where a guy can get a place to sleep do you?" he asked the cat eared boy, "I've kinda been wanting to sleep in a warm bed...instead of a wet alley, oh, I'm Sol by the way."
This person was without a place to stay? That was unacceptable! He mentioned something about sleeping in a wet alley, and Vayne's heart wept. He remembered a time when he'd also slept where there was space available for it... of course, it had been in the stables of a farm, with warm hay available as a blanket, but the main thing was, Vayne knew how it felt not to have a home. Without a second thought, Vayne went over and looped his arm around the arm of the man with dog ears.
"I don't know about a permanent home," he said, "but I would be worse than the Heartless if I didn't offer you the use of my room at the Hotel." Vayne thought for a moment.
"Of course... it only has one bed, so we'll have to share it."
That was okay, though. Vayne had a pretty big bed, even for two people. He smiled. He hadn't had company since Xaoc had had to leave for unexpected and (to Vayne) unexplained reasons. Since then, he'd been in the Hotel instead. Living in the Zero District just wasn't any good anymore. Lately it had been getting so cold that all the blankets he had still weren't enough to keep him warm. Eventually, he caved and moved into the Hotel with it's central heating system.
Of course, there was the added bonus that now he got to take hot showers instead of cold baths all the time.
Sol's ears gave a small twitch at the boy's words. Was he seriously offering him a place to stay at a hotel? Well, at least that was better than sleeping in the alley! Though, the idea of sharing a bed with Vayne, it seemed weird. He had to admit, Vayne was a cute looking kid. So maybe he just wanted a friend or something, since he seemed to be on his own like Sol was.
"Er...okay. I don't really mind sharing a bed. It's been a while since I've slept somewhere warm. Just hope your not allergic to wolf fur." Sol said with a chuckle, "So...where is this hotel? Cause I'll be honest, I'm still a bit new to the town. So I don't really know my way around here yet."
Boy was that true. Sol had never really ventured out of the First District. Only because he heard that Heartless roamed the other two districts, and he did not want to meet those. He already had trouble with them before. He did not want to go through them again.

(Sorry about the lateness - missed your PM, Sol. D:)
"W-waaaah!"
It had been a perfectly normal day for Curran in Traverse Town - except it had started to snow. And since then, some of the accumulated precipitation had melted and refrozen into ice. Which just now, she had noisily and loudly slipped on. The little girl got up, a little wet from the only semi-frozen grievance.
"Ohhhhhh....! Now what am I going to do...? I still have to sell 3 more before I'm done for today. And I'm going to be wet the whole time!" Curran couldn't think of what to do; with the temperature steadily decreasing, she couldn't stay outside and peddle. But, she didn't have any money to stay anywhere from peddling. She had few options; she had always lived under the Cafe's outdoor area, but that was when there was no such thing as weather in Traverse Town. She would have to find other means, but oh, how she hated to burden others! Curran was at a loss, in most every way possible.
Vayne heard the ungraceful sound and his ears perked immediately. Someone had just fallen... Looking about, Vayne noted the patches of ice that had popped up due to the current cold climate. Unlacing his arm from Sol's, Vayne began a frantic search for the source. His good nature would not allow him to let someone go unaided.
"Sol," Vayne said, "I think someone is in trouble..." Turning corners and navigating stairs lead Vayne to the source of the outcry. It was a girl, younger than Vayne (something he had to admit was a rare sight), and she seemed to have fallen on-- as he had assumed-- a patch of slick ice.
Her clothes had been soaked, and she was shivering, her breath coming out visible against the chill air. Vayne sighed a little and rolled his eyes.
I'm taking in all the strays today, aren't I?
Walking over to the girl, Vayne held out a hand to the girl.
"Hello there," he said cheerily. "My name's Vayne. Are you okay?"
Kiro was making his merry way through the now snowy Traverse Town. The young Puni was not a winter gummy, in fact, he very much preferred the warmth and the summer days. He let out a sneeze as he continued to traverse the now frozen Traverse Town. He made the decision that he should be getting the hell out of here as soon as possible. But, he didn't know of any other worlds apart from Punira, and he couldn't go back there yet.
Not really paying attention to where he was going, Kiro suddenly heard a shout of a young girl just ahead of him. Reacting instantly, Kiro bounded as quickly as he could towards them, while leaving large, circular shaped prints in the ground. It was then he noticed that someone else had beat him to the punch. And that person had... cat ears.
Kiro let out a scream as he tried to stop, but the ice, which he only just noticed was there, caused him to slide and collide into the 2 figures. No way! It can't be true! Have cats developed the ability to morph into humans!? Kiro quickly moved away from Vayne as fear swam around in his very gelatinous body. Cats were the sworn enemy of Punis and Kiro had a particular fear of them. Those beast's claws were so scary and dangerous!
"Waaah! Please don't scratch me!! Please!!" He exclaimed in pure fear at Vayne, whose cat ears instilled great fear in the young puni. All Kiro was hoping now was that he wouldn't be on the receiving end of a set of claws. What Kiro didn't realize at that moment was that he'd already met this person before.
As the wolf boy and cat boy walked down the street, Sol's ears, as well as Vayne's, picked up the sound of someone yelling. "Huh? What was that?" But before he could get an answer, Vayne was already heading off in the direction of the scream. "Hey Vayne wait up!" Sol called out to him as he ran after the boy.
When he caught up to Vayne he saw a little girl who seemed younger than Vayne. Well that was something you didn't see everyday. And it looked like she slipped on some ice. "You know you really should be more careful. Hopefully nothing serious is broken." he said with a soft tone. Seriously though, why was this girl out here?
As he watched Vayne tend to the girl, more screaming came to his ear. Then in the corner of his eye he saw a large...blue...blob, coming their way. "What the hell?" What in the world was that thing? It didn't look like a Heartless. And it sure didn't act like one as it crashed into Vayne and the girl, making Sol facepalm in disbelief. How did he end up meeting such a group of oddballs?

Curran saw the young man.... cat-man? approach her. The kind figure outstretched his hand to her, which she gladly took, helping herself up. "Th-thank you, mister, I... w-whoa!"
And down she went again, hand in hand with the stranger. Confound that icy ground!
It seemed she might have just ruined her one chance at getting out of the cold. Everything bad seemed to be falling -no pun intended- on this day, this horrible day.
Then again, not all was bad. Some of it was... weird.
Case in point: a little blue... blob-thing was bouncing around, apparently afraid of something. Maybe the two anthromorphs that had approached her? Ooh, but they looked so cuddly and cute! They didn't seem out for blood; overall, 'menacing' couldn't really describe them.
Curran decided it would be too much work to get off of the slippery ground. She summoned some glass sand to slide all of the involved people under the Cafe's awning; at least it was dry there. "H-hello... I'm terribly sorry about that, mister... I didn't mean any trouble...." She took a shrewd stance, and noticed that the trinkets she had made to sell were now smashed to pieces, either from one or the other fall. The little girl sank to the ground, partially sulking but also attempting to gather up the shards of glass on the floor; she didn't want anyone to get hurt.
Vayne gave one of his best "Oh, crap..." looks as he went down with the young girl. Luckily, his cat ears seemed to afford him the gift you always hear about with cats. He landed rather softly and, thankfully, dry as he caught himself with the palm of his hand against some pavement that wasn't iced over. Raising himself, he felt a slight stinging in his hand, and Vayne inspected it to find himself in possession of a shard of glass embedded in his hand.
"That's going to sting for a while..." Vayne sighed, biting his lip as he pulled the errant shard from his palm and, seeing no safe place to dispose of it, put it in his pocket for later.
The girl was now picking up more glass shards from the ground, but Vayne was more concerned with a strange blue creature that had bumped into their rag-tag bunch. Apparently, he was afraid of Vayne, which surprised him completely. After all, he looked a lot like Jiro, whom had been nice and not at all afraid of him. In fact, Vayne decided to voice this.
"You look a lot like some one I know," he said, smiling. "You wouldn't happen to know a Puni Jiro, would you?" he asked.
Oh, I can't just forget about our other new friend, either!
Turning to the girl who was picking up glass, Vayne smiled and squatted down onto his legs.
"Oh, by the way, if you need some dry clothes," he began, "I'd be happy to let you borrow some of mine." Suddenly becoming aware of Sol once again, he turned around, blushing slightly and laughing a bit.
"I apologize, Mr. Sol," he said, "but I don't think you'd like any of the shirts I have... or fit, for that matter!"
Looking up at the cat boy, Kiro finally realized that it was Vayne! How couldn't he of recognized him! It all came back now. Well, at least he's still alive. Kiro was glad he didn't kill himself, which he was so close to doing before.
Bouncing happily over to Vayne, he tried his best to hug him by surrounding the young cat boy with his gooey body, trying not to touch him. Oh how weird and wonderful his body was.
"Vayne, it's me! Puni Kiro!" Kiro said happily to boy as he stopped hugging him. "and for future reference. It's Kiro. Not Jiro." He then said comically.
"So Vayne, how've you been?" He continued to talk to Vayne. Then he turned to the young girl. "And who is this little girl?" He continued to say animatedly, bounding on over to the little girl.
"What are you doing here alone? Don't you have someone to take care of you?" He then said quizzically, tilting his body a little bit. It was then he noticed the wolf boy.
"And you!" He shouted suddenly at the boy. "Aren't you decent enough to wear a shirt? There are little children here and you aren't setting a good example" He continued to say to the boy, giving him a look that a teacher normally gives to a naughty student. Geez, what is it with people and their apparent lack of shirts here?
