In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Position: Second in Command for the Turks, also known as the Investigation Sector of the General Affairs Department (or the Department of Administrative Research) of the Shinra Electric Power Company.
Shinra can be seen as either/or, depending on which side of the Mag Rod you're on. He likes to think he's on the good side, though. And if Shinra's goals match yours, he'll have no qualms with a bit of teamwork.
Powers:Thundaga is easily his favorite attack, lazily connected by Dirb to his Mag Rod. It's the cliché rain of thunder on enemies, and can't be cast repeatedly without a break or he'll, like, fall over and go to sleep. It's Reno. Pyramid is his way to lock his enemies in, well, a pyramid. The stronger the enemy, the less likely this will hold. It doesn't damage his opponent, only incapacitates them until they're freed. Materia is how Reno carries around his magic. If he leaves it out in the open, it's perfectly capable of being stolen. Immunities include Gravity and Lightning/Thunder.
Weapon:Electromagnetic Rod: Can be used as a sword, only without the blade, obviously. He can counter attacks with it, and only if he's close enough to his opponent, shock them. I'm thinking the stronger the charge the more damage done, but this doesn't work well with those unaffected by Lightning/Thunder/etc.
Picture:
Appearance: The Mullet His fantastically red hair is short on top and long in the back. Though this hairstyle is often reserved for white trash comedy acts, it fits Reno well.
The Look Unless he's honestly amused or entertained, Reno doesn't smile. He leers, smirks, and wolfishly grins. Sometimes he makes funny faces. His attitude is channeled through his general appearance: business in the front, party in the back. He rarely stands up straight because he's more interested in slouching; he doesn't walk because he moves with more of an arrogant swagger. Try as his fellow Turks may, Reno never follows the company's dress code: His shirt is always untucked with the top few buttons undone, and his supposedly-tailored jacket always seems nearly two sizes too large. Why? Because he's classy.
Personality:"Elena. Don't misunderstand. A pro isn't someone who sacrifices himself for his job. That's just a fool."[/i]
Right. So, Reno's got a boat-load of personality though it often contradicts itself. On one hand, he's a ruthless assassin working for a company aiming for total world domination. On the other hand, he's a hard drinker who simply wants to have a good time. He also whacks people around with a big electric stick. The only things missing are the angst and penchant for saving the world. When push comes to shove, his loyalty is to the Turks more than anything: He'll even ignore professional grudges in order to save one of his own, as he did by working with Cloud and his group to save Elena and the ninja brat. He dropped the plate on Sector 7 because it's what he was told to do -- there wasn't anything personal about it. Reno, it seems, is capable of flipping the empathy switch in his brain on and off whenever he wants, which often leads people to believe he's more cruel than kind. However, he is not "conscience free", and the nastier side of his job do come back and haunt him.
Reno's lighter side contains his sense of humor and desire to be a dare-devil -- the latter is shown by his odd habit of leaping off of buildings or other high places, especially out of and in to helicopters. His sense of humor knows no bounds, and he will not hesitate to speak his mind. When most people bite their tongue, Reno lets it roll. But when he's on duty, Reno's idle comments often lead his opponents into underestimating him, which can sometimes be a deadly mistake.
WD's Reno will not always be the playful Turk seen in Advent Children, nor will he always be the cruel mercenary seen in FFVII. He will have his moments, just like any other individual -- it is recommended that others take everything he says with a grain (or fifty) of salt.

History:
The Turks
Although he may not like or fully agree with everything he's done, Reno has always been proud to be a Turk. They were a small group of people, sure, but they were part of something more. Officially, they searched for potential SOLDIER recruits. In reality, they were skilled special agents, used for gathering intelligence, providing additional security, and protecting the company's secrets regardless of the cost; including kidnappings and assassinations. Membership for the Turks was somewhat exclusive, meaning one couldn't simply waltz into Shinra's headquarters and apply.
Veld was his first boss while in the Turks. He was eventually executed for his betrayal by Tseng, who took over leadership responsibilities. Even with Veld's betrayal, a majority of the Turks going rogue against the company, and the desertion of several of said Turks at the end of the conflict with AVALANCHE, Reno stayed loyal to Shinra and was one of the three remaining Turks. Heidegger, before Tseng took over the responsibility, kept them on a tight leash but later allowed an additional and final member to join the Turks, Elena.
Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-
Genesis Rhapsodos, a former First Class SOLDIER, attacked Midgar with copies of himself. Sooner or later, with copies and monsters crawling all over the city, SOLDIER was called out and the Turks remained on patrol. Reno was stationed at Sector 8 with his partner Rude, where they met Zack Fair on his way to, well. . .do something. Reno told Zack not to worry, since "Sector 8 is Turks jurisdiction, Slick." before moving onto the rest of the city.
At the end of the chapter, Reno was sent to search the musty desert skies of the Midgar outskirts in his a helicopter for Zack Fair and Cloud Strife. Time passed and Reno was unable to find the duo, following Cissnei's orders as she gave him his next set of coordinates. Despite their honest (while seemingly lazy) search, the men were found by Shinra infantrymen, where Zack was ultimately killed.
Final Fantasy VII
Under orders, Reno came to the Sector 5 Church with soldiers in an attempt to capture Aerith, the last remaining Cetra. After fighting Cloud, Barret, and Tifa- which left him temporarily incapacitated- he was the one responsible for setting the bombs that blew up the Sector 7 pillar. Their next meeting outside of Gongaga Village nearly ended in another fight, but Reno was forced to back down. Despite their conflicts, he willingly teamed up with Cloud and the others in Wutai, where both parties had a bone to pick with Don Corneo. Their little rescue mission is successful, leading to the release of Elena, a fellow Turk, and Yuffie. The last encounter was in the Midgar subway tunnels. Reno, while ordered to terminate the protagonists, claimed that he was "not really up for" fighting.
Advent Children
Their search of Jenova's head lead the Turks to the Northern Cave, with Tseng and Elena on foot and Reno flying above in his the Shinra helicopter. When Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz interrupt the investigation, Reno was forced to escape. Later at the Healen Lodge, he only halfheartedly attacked Cloud; by then, he possessed no true hostility towards his former enemies. He joined the protagonists once again in their fight against the Remnants, attacking Yazoo without warning. Near the end, Reno stood by Rude, and both Turks held explosives in their hands which they dropped only after Cloud rushed by on his motorcycle. This managed to catch Reno, Rude, Yazoo, and Loz in the explosion but did not kill them, although their deaths were implied.
WD's Plotline
Edit: Reno was perfectly content to snooze either in his office, another Turks' office, or the Sector 5 Church. He still did his work of course, but in his downtime he was every bit the lazy arse expected of him.
Until it happened. The Heartless came and Gaia was consumed by darkness and Reno found himself in Twilight Town. It was nice, he could admit, but he soon wanted out of that "dinky little world" because everything was too laid back and relaxed. He wasn't some teenager procrastinating their homework, and didn't feel like participating in the Struggle tournaments. Sooner or later, he made his way to another world called Traverse Town, and from there he hitched another ride to Radiant Garden. Lo and behold, he found other Gaians residing there, and decided to stay. However, he's still searching for his former Boss and/or partner, Rufus Shinra and Rude, respectively.
Role Playing Sample:
The Turk chuckled darkly, holding his right hand up in a sign of mock surrender as his left knocked the gathering ashes off his cigarette over the Bailey's edge. Green eyes watched the ashes fall where he should've, and a part of him wondered why everything he said always managed to piss people off regardless of his intentions.
"Ice down the pants never gets old, yo." He said, and when he looked back up at her his eyes lacked that certain glitter of amusement. Obviously she took something he'd said in the entirely opposite direction, otherwise she wouldn't be giving him The Look. Only women could pull it off- Tseng too, on occasion- and he took another drag to keep from saying what was on his mind. "Think back, princess-" came the nickname, "-and keep your tiara on. I didn't call you anythin', especially not childish. Or immature. Just because I ask a few questions doesn't mean it's a personal attack, Shio." Her name rolled off his tongue with a bit of a snarl, and knowing his temper was about to get the best of him, he took another drag.
"Don't think you can start goin' around and judging people, yo." He told her, trying not to show how much the friendship comment actually hurt. He takes friendship very, very seriously, and somedays it killed him inside that he hadn't found any of his friends since Gaia fell to darkness.
"I ain't gonna tell you you're childish or stupid, if that's what you're asking." He said, cheekily blowing smoke rings in her general direction as the look in his eyes softened, not nearly as humorless as it was before. The cigarette was nearing its end, and he made a note to keep an eye on it before it burned his fingers.
"This friends of yours, any idea where he is?" It was a bit of a random question, but he didn't feel like his explaining his first one as to what sort of danger she was mixed in with. "Sounds to me like you'd be close, yo, if you're enough to lure him into anything."
