In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

His katana was slowly drawn out of a seemingly empty pocket of air, the only sign showing of the darkness it was sheathed in was a small shadow that danced between his hands. He held it forward towards the creatures that approached him, obviously taking in the scent of his heart and lusting for it. He had fought himself out of these situations before, but it didn't help that he was being backed into a corner...
and all that was in front of him was the hulking bodies of 2 Large Bodies, rendering him immobile from physical attacks. He growled as he attempted an attack, but swore when the attack failed. His magic wasn't advanced enough, and he was about to just run and jump, though there was a low probability this would work.

( I edited Kuri's profile as much as I am willing too atm. So her new appreance is up. )
Lakuria was wondering the rooftops as she nomally did now a days. She haddnt wanted to deal with the outside world of... people for a while now. She spoke to almost no one, kept her hood up, and fled to the shadows if spotted.
Today however.... as diffrent. the start of somthing new. A new chapter in her life was finally starting to show itself.. and with somthing so... fun!
She had taken to walking along the rooves of where there was commonly heartless. she wanted to watch the people who bothered to stop and fight them off. she learned best by watching, and today was no diffrent. She heard some commotion going on down below on a street corner, and hopped over to watch the scene. this... seemed diffrent though. There was a young man, he honestly looked around her own age, and he was trying to fight off two larg bodies. She ha leanred a long time ago... not even one of tose was easy to deal with. She did however know that if you attaced their heads, they dissapeared a lot faster. This should be easy enough, the large bodies are close together, I can take both of them down.....but the he's going to want to talk to me.... she thought. She hesitated for a moment, then then decided. Oh well... I can't hide forever.
Lakuri waited a few more moments for the large bodies to get closer to the boy, and closer together, befor makeing a strike. This building was rather tall, so it gave her enough time to pull off a trick. Lakuri dove off the edge of the building, and released her hidden blades from her hands, and plunged them into the large bodies' head's before they even knew she was there. she then proceeded to flip back and slice up in the process, complealty sliceing through the large bodies heads, and causeng them to dissapear back into the darkness.
Lakuri landed, athough not as gracefully as she would have hoped, crouching on the ground. She flicked her hidden blades back, stood up. and faced the boy, who was now free of being cornered.
"hey, you alright?" she asked."You seemed to be introuble, so I hope you don't mind that I took care of those for you." she added. You neve know when some weirdo would come up that wanted to fight the heartless.
Even though the warrior usually didn't show shock, he did let out an exclamation of surprise as somebody jumped from the rooftops and dispatched the Large Bodies. He looked at his saviour with curiosity in his eyes, listening to what she had to say, before responding.
"Yes, I am fine, thanks to you. It seems I just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time."
Another sound made him look over the shoulder of the girl, to something behind her, and he spoke in just a level voice as the last statement.
"Now, ma'am, you're going to need to assist me here. We have more company."
He gave himself a running start for a bit before he leaped over the girl and flipped in air, landing between her and the Heartless that had suddenly appeared. The Wyvren let out a shrill cry and stretched its wings, focusing on the two, but at the young girl most of all. Arthas noticed this and got in between the girl and the Heartless, his katana held in his battle stance.
"We need to get out of here as soon as possible, but these are too fast to outrun. Watch out for its feet, it'll try to grab you!"
As he raised his other hand before him, the crystal and feather-like charm held in it both glowed, and a small magical circle appeared on the ground before him. A crystal-like type of earth slowly formed over his katana, and created a larger sword, akin to a bastard sword. Then, the magic circle glowed, and a fire vortex surrounded him, before disappearing a second later and revealing his newest summon, Spitfire the flame Chocobo. As eh mounted the bird, he gave her a kick and yelled, "Yahh!"
The bird jumped into the air a good ways, where he tried to swing at the Wyvren but missed. However, the Fire spell he had been charging managed to hit, and he watched it recoil a bit, a satisfied smirk on his face.

Lakuri sighned as the strange boy said that he still required her assastance. I'd rather not continue to fight, but whatever. she thought, but was rather surprised when he jumped over her.
She haddnt seen this spesific kind of heartless before, so it was good that the boy decided to take action instead of her.
He's really good.... Lakuri thought as he started to summon up a very strange looking bird.. thing. She had never seen anything like it before!
However no matter how surprised she was, Lakuri still managed to see that the fire magic had hit the monster and stunned it. "It's stunned, I've got it watch out! she said and ran towards the creature. Now, the boy said to watch out for the feet, but that was all she could reach at the moment. Lakuri grabbed onto the heartless's leg while it was stunned, pulled it down, and slashed it it the hidden blade on her other hand, causeing it to fade away.
Lakuri looked back at him again.... full of questions. "What is this thing?" she asked, examining the chocobo curiously
For once, Arthas was stunned. Stunned. Not only had this girl taken down a Heartless that had barely been damaged, she also managed to make it look easy at the same time.
Spitfire gave a happy "Kweh" as the girl approached the Chocobo, and nuzzled her shoulder with his head. Arthas, on the other hand, had jumped down from his mount, sheathing his katana in the dark pocket it called home, disappearing from existence to its own.
Arthas looked this girl over, noticing that the blades she had used to fight were now gone, and assumed she was using a type of retractable blade. With a nod, he extended a hand and forced a gentle smile.
"Thank you for your assistance, it was very well-timed and convenient. Without your help, I probably wouldn't have escaped unhurt. My name is Arthas, and I am the co-leader of the Guardians of the Worlds. I doubt you have heard of us, but we reside the worlds and protect them from Heartless threats.

Lakuri smiled as the giant bird thing rubbed his head on her shoulder. She kindly petted his head and smiled at him. "You're cute" she said. Lakuri had always loved animals, and she had never seen a chocobo before, so she was far more fasinated by it then the boy trying to talk to her.
Once she heard him ask her name however, she turned to look at him. "My name is Lakuria, Lakuria.... Ogawa." She answered. This was the first time she had to introduce herself after all that had happened... and she had to keep her promise, so she paused a little before saying a last name.
"Nice to meet you Arthas, your job sounds pretty fancy." she teased. And, really, what I did wasnt a big deal. No need to thank me." she said and smiled at him.
He noticed the pause in the girl's stating of her last name, plus the look of sorrow that crossed her face, but dismissed it, deciding it wasn't a subject worth pressing. He gave a real smile back now, feeling more comfortable, and then had a sudden realization.
Hmm...maybe she could be a valuable asset to the Guardians...
"What you did there was very impressive, if I may say so myself. The Guardians are looking for new recruits...and we're a bit shorthanded. What I'm saying is, if you don't mind, I would like to give you a chance to join our group. I-and Spitfire, of course-would be honored if you would accept this chance, Miss Lakuria."
Spitfire gave a happy "Kweh" again as the offer fell to silence before them. He wasn't sure if she would accept, but he needed to test her before she would be fully accepted.

Lakuri was very surprised by Arthas's offer. Me? in some fancy group? ok there is definantly somthing going on here. Why would he want me? She thought.
Lakuri wasnt exactly sure if she wanted to accept or not, purely on the basis of she was very suspicious, but then the large bird.... thing started to make noise agian. "Aaaaaawwww~ you want me tooo?" Lakuri asked the bird and started to pet his head agian.
"What would I have to do?" Lakuri asked, but this time didnt turn to look at arthas. If he was acctually incharge of hat he said he was.... this could be a good thing for her to do. After all, she did want to protect people..... but her mind wouldnt let her just trust he was telling the truth.... not yet.
"All it will take is a simple test, no more. If you wish, I will perform the test myself, for our leader, Mikhail, is...preoccupied at the moment. If you accept, I wish to see your skill both physically and magically. The first test will be a simple spar with no weapons of a lethal nature allowed. In the second test, you need to show me your magical prowess, whatever it may be."
As Spitfire watched them, Arthas removed his cloak, revealing his part-open shirt and baggy pants that he wore. His feet slipped farther apart as he entered his fighting stance, one arm held back as the other faced the girl. He knew he would have to go easy, and he had no intent of even striking himself, only blocking.
He took a breath to clear his mind, then waited for her to attack.

Now, Lakuri would have listened to what Arthas had said, if he haddnt said a word... a trigger, to somthing she didnt really want to remember. "Mikhail is the leader of this group?" Lakuri said and looked at the ground. She knew him. He had helped save Kyriu from a heart attack.... and before his death, that was the scariest day of her life..... not somthing she wanted to remember.... but thats all that was in her head now.
Lakuri just stood there for a moment, looking at the ground while her eyes started to water. "P-please excuse me for a moment..." she said to Arthas, and slipped her hood on over her head. It covered her eyes rather well, so it would be a little difficult to tell she was crying, Common, get it together. It's been over a year, and you're still crying just at the thought. get.it.together. This is the last thing he would have wanted from me. He would be so mad if he knew how crazy I've gone withot him. Lakuri fought her own mind, to clear it. All the while she made a fist almost, trying to hold onto her engadgment ring.
Lakuri shook her head, and tried to regain focus. "I won't use them, but my weapons stay on me." Lakuri finally said. She figured he couldnt see the hidden blades, but what she really didn't want to remove was the katana strapped to her waist. She didnt have any intention of useing that... ever, but it still had to be there.
Lakuri just stood for a moment, and realised that this was going to go no where. "I'm not going to fight you if you don't attack. I have no reason to hit you, so why even try?"
Arthas watched as the saying of Mikhail's name seemed to stir some dormant emotion in the girl, and allowed her to have a moment before she turned towards him, asking him to make a move. With a sigh, his hand rose in front of his face, and he leaned down before rushing at Lakuria, faking a punch which instead lead to a flip over the girl and a kick to the small of her back. He felt it connect somehow, but by block or hit was unknown to him, and frankly didn't matter.
Next, he used a series of easily blockable punches, assuming she would block them. He used the momentum of the blocks to continue with the fluid motions of his attack. After several attacks, he flipped away and repositioned his stance, to where he would protect his head and upper part of his chest from strikes.

( I'm not good at fight posting x.x )
Lakuri wasnt quite prepaired when arthas chraged her, she fell for his first trick easily, and was kicked him the back. But, that was really all she needed, that hurt! Lakuri did a quick dive roll to avoid falling on her face and haveing him pin her. She quickly stood back up, an spun around, only to start evadeing, and blocking a few of te punches thrown at her.
Once Arthas backed off, lakuri stood for a moment breathing heavily. Theres no way i can beat him by playing fair. she thought, eyeing his positition. He expects me to throw punches, so maybe..... Lakuri charged back at him and acted as if she were about to try and punch him, as he had done to her, but at the last second, lakuri dropped down to the ground in attempt to kick one on his legs and through him off balance enough to pin him down.
It is a little known fact that a person's body movements could betray their true intentions during attack, which Arthas saw in Lakuria's rush towards him. He bent his knees as he faked a blocking stance, but jumped when she shifted her attack and flipped back, landing in a squat with one hand on the ground.
Good, she knows what she's doing
As he straightened up, he held his hands slightly before him...then clapped. The sound echoed around the empty area of Traverse Town, paired only with their breathing. He smiled and gave her a small bow, before looking her straight in the eye, a new found respect burning in them.
"I have the information that I need from you, Lakuria. You fight well, but you lack the experience others hold. However, it is sufficient, and I must say I am impressed. However, there is one more test you must face before I give my answer. Cast your most powerful magic spell with me as the target, and do not hold back. Imagine as if I were a Heartless, attacking that of which you most cared for. I want to see the power you hold within you, to ensure your survival, Lakuria."
And with that he spread his arms wide, leaving himself completely open, but from his view he could see the orange shield surrounding him, invisible to others. It would, in theory, absorb the magical power and leave him unharmed, but was an imperfect spell that he had recently created, and he was unsure it would work. Still, he was willing to take the risk.
”Attack me with no mercy…hold nothing back and let your fury, anger, sadness and fear strike me.”

Lakuri was rather surprised when Arthas managed to doge her attack, most people wouldnt be able too with her speed. She was a little confused by his next actions, but then soon realized that he was calling this little fight off.
However, the next few things he said, and asked of her.... tipped kuri off agian. This man is insane.... She though as she looked at him so willingly opening himself for her attack.
"I'm not gonna do it." she said while shakeing her head. "If I attacked you as you wish, I would stop at nothing to kill you." She said, looking straight into his eyes with a bit of a....diffrent, expression about her face, and expression on the brink of insanity. "You don't deserve that fate... nor does anyone else...." She added, and then mumbled "Except the one that killed him."
Lakuri looked down at the ground, and tried to calm herself down. Nearly her entire body of trembleing from the thought of getting revenge on the person that took Kyriu's life. She moved one of her hands to hold onto his sword, that was strapped too her side. Calm down. It's not going to happen. Theres nothing you can do. Nothing you could do to anyone... would bring him back. She though as tears started falling down her cheeks agian... but this time she wasnt hideing it.
"I wont hurt you...." She finally said, her voice trembling. She then turned, and started to walk away. She assumed since she wouldnt do it, He wouldnt want anything else from her.
Arthas just stood there as he watched his statement stir some sort of emotion inside Lakuria, and frowned internally, though his external looks were stable. He hadn't intended to do this, and saw the look on her face and sighed, lowering his shield spell. His heart surged as he caught the mumbled words of the girl, flashing back to the image of his sister's body found in the alleyway of Twilight Town, broken and battered upon repair, her beloved guitar upon her chest.
"Lakuria, wait."
He spoke out unconsciously as she turned to leave, his voice laced with rare emotion for the warrior -- concern.
"You may be the strongest person I have met yet, being able to restrain yourself like that. And I see that something is eating at you, and I will not push. So, if you wish to decline my invitation, you may, but I offer you a full recruitment into the Guardians of the Worlds, and personally offer my assistance to you in whatever quest you require."
In his mind's eye, he remembered the nights that he awaited his beloved to come home, growing more and more worried after each night. Eventually, he had to accept the fact that she was dead, and it broke his heart to pieces, but he managed to repair it, though the cracks were still there.
Tears fell down his face as the memory hit him, though he was able to hide them by hanging his head. In a steady voice, he said one last think to Lakuria.
"Just know that seeking revenge is not the answer, but delivering justice is."
