In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The sun... feels nice on my skin. I'd almost forgotten...
The tsundere sat on the ledge of Station Plaza, overlooking the quiet little town of Twilight Town. Earlier, she had characterized this town as "too much like Traverse Town" and thus decided not to care about coming back. Now, looking down on everything, the raven-haired girl could see just how different the two worlds were. For one, Traverse Town was honestly too full of people, while this town was small and almost had a... homey kind of feel to it. On top of that, the sky was perpetually at sunset, whereas Traverse Town was forever as dark as night. After that, all one had to consider was the snow... It was too much for a pyromancer, at times, and this town's warmth was just what she needed to feel comfortable again.
Of course, being in a dress didn't help with feeling at ease. At all.
Helena had gotten a cute dress for this special occasion--well, at least, it was cute when it was set on a hanger in her closet. She wasn't quite sure about it, honestly. The dress itself was a solid white, ending in a thin line of black lace that just barely grazed her knees. A thick black ribbon was tied into a tight bow at her waist that only drooped slightly at her back. The same thick, black ribbon-like material allowed the dress to be held up on her shoulders. With this get-up, she decided that a pair of black flats was the only option for shoes. However, her long, striped, fingerless gloves managed to stay with her through the wardrobe-choosing process, as well as her mother's locket. Her hair was up in its usual fashion, and for now, she wore the same expressionless mask.
I wonder if Saxen's even going to show up... I would have gotten all dressed up for nothing... Can't believe I didn't even think of that...
Helena swung her legs back and forth a few times before gazing up at the clocktower behind her. "4:56 PM..." A sigh escaped her pale lips. The note she sent him requested that he be here at five o' clock, sharp. He had four minutes, still... and four minutes felt like an eternity for her.
"I can't believe I asked him out on a date... Me, of all people... I'm so stupid... like he's going to agree to go out with someone like me..."
And that little voice in her head piped up,
He kissed me, didn't he? It... it was in a dream, but still. Maybe he DOES like me. Maybe. And if he does, he'd show up. I know he will.
At the very least, that was slightly relieving. Those rust-like eyes gazed back up at the clocktower. 4:58 PM.
17:00. . . man, from the time he figured out what, exactly, was going on, he didn't have much time to get ready and get to Twilight Town in time. The best clothes he could pull together was just his armor. Of course, he took some extra time to polish it up. A date. . . that was actually something new to the 17 year old. He had spent a lot of time with Gale, but they had never really gone on an actual date. He got into his ship and took off, going as fast as he could toward Twilight Town.
Once he landed in the small town, he went to the rooftops. It would be a nice way to surprise her. He jumped from roof to roof until he got to the plaza, at which point he sat and waited out of sight of Helena until the clock turned five. Once it did, he dropped down to sit right next to her, smiling. "You DID say 17 sharp, didn't you?" He laughed and pulled her into a hug. "You look wonderfully cute, by the way."

Whenever Saxen dropped down next to her, Helena jumped in surprise, totally not expecting him to arrive as such. She nearly fell off the ledge, but his hug saved her in the nick of time. The girl brought her arms around him as well, holding him to her as she climbed back up onto the ledge. There was something cold and smooth touching her skin while she held him, and when she was securely back on the ledge, Helena's rust-colored eyes took a good look at him. He was wearing armor, perhaps something that belonged to his home world. It fitted him incredibly well. She settled her gaze upon his face, and it was just like she remembered... His smile, his eyes, even his hair--he was handsome. A pale pink colored her cheeks, though she tried to hide it as best as she could.
"Hi, Saxen. You... you look good." These words were the best she could manage, though she sweetened these with a light smile. Her gaze was averted awkwardly down at her shoes as the pale pink in her cheeks became more pronounced. Helena could feel the warmth of her blush, and it made her blush even more. And to think, a while ago, I didn't really know what it was like to blush... That was back when I didn't even remember what it was like to feel... I'm... I'm kind of glad I'm choosing emotion over apathy... It... it stings more, this way, but... I think I'm happier, this way.
Using Saxen as support, Helena came to stand. She stepped down from the ledge and adjusted her striped gloves, rocking back and forth on her toes. Her rust-like eyes looked back to Saxen, gently. "Y-you know, I almost thought you wouldn't show up... I kinda suck at asking people on dates... I, uh, never have, so... Anyway, we should, uh, probably get moving. People usually go out to eat on dates, r-right? There's probably a cafe somewhere... and... oh man, I'm helpless, I'm sorry..." Her blush darkened even more; now the red in her cheeks rivaled the red in her hair. Well... maybe I'm diving a little too fast into this whole emotion thing. I'm bound to get a little... caught up at this rate... Slow down, Helena...
The blush faded as she composed herself. However, the tsundere allowed a slight smile for Saxen. "S-sorry... Where do you want to go?"
When am I going to learn to let go of this emotionless mask...?
Saxen had never really been a part of any groups in his life, and, as such, he would usually watch other people. It had really become a habit of his. In fact, that was just about all he was doing, then. Her smile was magnificent to see. She seemed pretty nervous, but it just made her look cuter. Her blush was the touch that really wrapped it all up, for him. At least, he thought it was. Until she stood up. She stepped down and rocked on her toes, and he just smiled as his own cheeks began to tint a light red, themselves.
He stood up as she began to talk and jumped right down next to her. Apparently, she hadn't thought he would come. Then, she suddenly got serious, losing some of the qualities he was enjoying in her. He moved behind her and put his hands on her shoulders. "Your idea, your problem," he said with a smile. "I'm up for just about anything, so pick whatever you'd like the best." With that, he pulled her closer and wrapped his arms around her. "Whenever you're ready."

"Nyeeeh! I'm no good at this..."
I'm so awkward... It must be a sin...
Helena took this chance to look at the situation in circumspect. She didn't know Twilight Town well at all; however, she was sure that she could find some little cafe where they could be alone. Then again, she was sure to mess up if they ended up somewhere where he could focus on her more. On the other hand, if she dragged him to a busy cafe, they would probably BOTH be uncomfortable... Of course, there was the option of not going to a cafe, at all... However, when her stomach growled loudly, she knew that this was in no way an option. Especially so if Saxen had overheard it.
"W-well, I guess we could go out to eat... I hope you don't mind walking around some, because I have no idea where anything is here..." She laughed a little in spite of herself. Helena had asked Saxen to come here, of all her available options, and she had no idea where she was going. "But, uh, somewhere quiet... I'm not really a people-person..." As she spoke, her rust-colored eyes settled on his lips, for a moment. If they were to kiss, would those lips still feel the same as they did in the dream? Or did the dream make everything so sweetly surreal, a blissful lie that Helena held close to her conflicted heart?
Her own lips curled into a soft, lighthearted smile. I doubt that whether or not we kissed in a dream or not would mean anything... It'll still feel the same... and not like it really matters, or anything... I think I'd... feel the same about...
"We ought to get going... before everyone else decides to go out to eat, too." She took his hands in hers and gently unwrapped herself from his embrace, not without missing the feeling that came with that embrace. The tsundere glanced up at his deep blue eyes for a moment before looking away, blushing slightly. She hated blue, yet she loved it on Saxen.
