Name: Traven Lossarot Dross
Nickname: Trave/Dross
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Position: Neutral
Powers/Abilities/Techniques/Skills: Due to learning over the many years even as a young boy, Dross has a knack for fighting and quickly rose to become quiet adept, a seeker of knowledge and power for his own gain and experience of others he chose to follow the teachings of magic, learning the techniques and spells of “Fire” and “Thunder”. Finding areas over the grounds of his place of origin, Dross practised alone on his physical abilities of combat, even adept he had much to learn and thus he worked on his speed and agility with the input of strength, his most favourite technique he uses is known as the “Flash Step” the attack requires great concentration and pushing his abilities to their limits for a few seconds, this allows him to bend the light around his physical appearance due to inhuman speed, allowing him to appear behind such an opponent and strike them in the back. However due to pushing his physical prowess to its limits, Dross is greatly fatigued for a short period of time but none the less leaves him venerable to attack until he recovers, “Flash Step” however is used as a last resort.
Dross also makes a habit of using magic at the best of times and combines said attacks into his weapon allowing damaging attacks, causing combos and using them to his advantage of airborne enemies (those whom are not immune to said elemental attacks).
Weapon/Items: WrathWeapon Name: Wrath
Weapon Capability: By the look of such a weapon it is and has the operative motion of a blade attached to the motion of a chainsaw, a powerful metallic repetitive blade that is able to cut and slice with ease considering which materials it ploughs its self through.
Through simple flesh and light metal, Wrath can slice through like a knife through butter however stronger materials that rival or even best the metallic blade, Wrath would find much harder to get through, not impossible but a longer period of time would be required to pierce through such materials mentioned. Wrath can also be combined with elemental attacks that he is able to conjure and control such as “Fire” and “Thunder”, Electricity is much more viable than fire based combinations but all the same Wrath is able to accept said elements.
Picture: Appearance: Standing at 6’1 and with short to medium length, that travels just at the beginning of his neck, unkempt silvery hair, a Caucasian complexion with fair skin , baby blue eyes with a gentle glaze of expression that allows welcome of others or examination of others.
Clad in high class garments made from the finest materials, his long coat reaching down to his ankles, the lengths of the arms stop at his wrists, underneath said jacket is a smart shirt capable of free movement of his physical appearance, his pants also made of fine material and same as the shirt allows free movement (jumping, running and even combat) his foot wear suits occasions of formal ones but made with enough grip for sprinting and walking alike.
Physical appearance is that of an athletic build that shows he has balanced upper body muscle as well as lower but not enough to overwhelm brutes alone but hold them off for a time, on his back is an insignia of his family crest there to never forget who he is and what he feels he must do.
Traven’s InsigniaPersonality: A mysterious and hard individual to place a finger on, confident in his own abilities but not overestimating, interested in others and thoughtful of others situations, his curiosity can get the better of him, however he is a natural observer unless the situation calls for action. He doesn’t give out information freely but is willing to interact with others and give his opinion if asked. His goals are his own however, if you asked him he would merely continue the current subject and ignore your requests and prodding for personal information that involves himself or others he deems to great to disclose such goals, but even secretive he doesn’t mind groups or listening to others, previous experience would say he is an excellent listener and giver of advice.
Original World: Radiant Garden
Current World: Traverse Town
History: As a young boy, Dross has always been a kid with talents, some dare say a prodigy in the arts of strategy, combat and even magic. His mother died giving birth to such a young lad, his father, the only adult that was already married to his work had to find the time to balance his passion and his son’s time, being a tutor first and a father second, Dross’ father was an accomplished scientist who studied the fascinations of the Heartless, following the work of Ansem the Wise only by notes and information that others had to offer, Dross’ father taught his son the art of Alchemy and the rules that follow such a base of transformation from one object to another.
His father’s obsession boarded over the edge marks of insanity, the years rolled by and Dross only grew stronger and smarter whilst his father’s will only made the inlayers of Dross’ life something of a twisted nightmare, the activities his father caused made other individuals in the science division question his mental health, methods and his obligation as a father to still continue his work and, of course, remains as a providing father for his only son. Later in Dross’ life he turned out to be an only child, his father died due to lack of sustenance, he forgot how to eat, drink and even sleep, his unwavering idealism of the Heart ultimately destroyed his life, leaving Dross in the dark.
Following his father’s notes as more and more time split father from son apart, Dross took matters into his own hands, his father, no matter how insane he was, still followed in his footsteps, and as such taught by the lesser information given from his dad, Dross found ways to learn the techniques of an Alchemist, taking ownership of his father’s laboratory and being accepted within Radiant Garden’s Science Division (RGSD), well known after a few years of being within the confines of the facility, young Dross aged nineteen was the first man to create the ChainBlade blueprints as well as the first working proto-type and first functioning weapon.
After such a feat of applause, congratulations and acceptance amongst the inhabitants of Radiant Garden, Dross wanted more, he surpassed his father in almost every way except one, the imagination and infinite abilities to create and explore the soul. Ansem’s notes to young Dross felt limited, the Heart of mortality was too mundane, too limited.
Dross, after three years of testing experimental gains for the soul and how to create one, perhaps and even harness or even control. Dross’ own notes caused him to build/create an inanimate object out of fluorite for a core skeletal structure, metallic for malleability and silver for a conductor and imitation of organs within the body, the flesh required was created and made into a regenerative substance found off wild animals around Radiant Garden and morphed by Alchemy into a substance that clings onto a structure and mimics the figure, magic was also involved such as “Thunder” for an electrical and nervous system as well as “Cure” provided by another scientists help (Though he never knew what for) to help with life and allow the alchemic substance to cling onto its inanimate host, this was stage one out of two.
Stage two continued after months of research and development for the more human physical appearance such as hair, eyes, nails and even human-like teeth. Then came the day life would be given to the subject, a subject Dross came to name as “Marionette”. A machine was built during the early stages of “Marionette” to allow the transfer of a soul, guided by a single structured mirror, enchanted by magic (mostly the transfer of Cure and Aero, Cure giving life and Aero forming a current to a straight vector direction), this device allowed the transfer of the soul via the eyes as old tales would tell “The eyes are the windows to the Soul”
As such Dross took this text literally, as such his work was a success as he used himself in the process, granting only a portion of his original Soul, research told and admitted his reason to believe even the slightest touch of life and bonding with a host can grant such life either way, regardless of them being inanimate or not, however someone who already had life but was extinguished could not be brought back in the same process.
He had finally accomplished his task, swelling with pride he approached his creation with superiority. However what he did not take into account nor would he, was the free will and state of mind that “Marionette” possessed , she was like a child at first but quickly grew in mental stability to his own years, her physique was that of a seventeen year old however her mentality matched his own as a twenty four year old.
There was another force at the time he did not count on meeting, the Heartless, it was his own Heart that was corrupt by greed and pride, and he wasn’t satisfied even after the creation of “Marionette” and that called the Darkness to his world, Dross and “Marionette” were separated by a vortex, him slipping off the foundation of his laboratory and with her, swooping into the sea’s of darkness.
Dross, finally waking up from such an ordeal, found himself in a strange place with strange surroundings to boot. He knew what he wanted, or rather, what he needed, “Marionette” was his goal and he would have to find a way to track her down.
Role Playing Sample: Dross found himself on the ground, hurt, bleeding in fact, it was his left hand that must have been scraped as he attempted to get himself off the cold, hard floors of such a strange place, motioning his head from the accordance of left to right, making sure he still had control over his senses and limbs, as such he continued to clench his fist, then letting it go.
His glazed gaze darted with speed to the neon lights that spelt Traverse Town, it interested him to know where he was and what year it currently is, as odd a question it is, it was not an invalid one at that. Dross picked himself up, dusted what remaining filth lay upon his fine clothing and finally dusted his hair, irritation would be the first of his concerns as he tended to get snappy. The now straightened male looked to his hand and wondered if there was a shop or person he could acquire assistance from, gaining his footing upon the stony floor.
Remembering he had gripped his ChainBlade, in fear from the sights of the Heartless, he noticed his weapon lay on the ground a few metres away from him, but by the time he had made his way towards such a dangerous weapon, a child ran past and quickly, as if experienced in such a situation, snatched such a weapon from the ground and ran off into the darkness of the alleyways.
An extended hand as if to halt traffic launched forward in desperation with quick but powerful words to follow “Hey! That isn’t yours!” such a tone didn’t suit the man that stood there, half shocked and half wrathful of such a child. With no time to waste, Dross ignored his minor injury of his hand and stormed after the child, it wasn’t long before Dross cornered the boy, seeing the quivering young lad, holding the ChainBlade with desperation as if his life depended on it.
Dross had no sympathy for such an existence and instead of showing mercy to kindness he instead stood over the boy, grabbing the youth by his collar and pulled him up, his feet hovering just a few inches from the floor, Dross’ face lowered to the boys level with glazed eyes, “And where were you going to go, with that?”
The boy shook his head, he panicked and before a word could slobber out of his dribbling mouth, Dross pulled the ChainBlade away from the boy’s small hands that attempted to grip the weapon tightly, after such an act, the cold man dropped the boy, allowing him to barely stand and not drop due to carelessness. “Mind what you choose to play with in the future, boy,” with that said Dross turned away, leaving the child in thought and not in tears, as if he had taught him a lesson that was important, that perhaps stealing wasn’t the right thing to do nor taking objects that he did not have knowledge of, such a value was worth contemplating and for that, instead of holding a grudge, a small, innocent smile formed in the corner of his youthful, dirty mouth.
