In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Powers: Mordecai’s main abilities lie in his martial arts training, agility, and sword training. Mordecai is able to jump over enemies, run up walls up to 15 feet, and is a very good climber. Mordecai can also hunt and cook to some extent.
Weapon: Mordecai wields a pair of slightly curved swords that can combine into a single curved sword, a single double-edged sword, or a double bladed weapon.
Appearance: Mordecai’s most distinguishing feature is the large scar that covers his right eye. The scar is round, but irregular. It was given by a mace blow and keeps his right eye mostly shut and useless. His hair is long, dark, and mostly covers his scar, and his eyes are red. His skin is rather pale and covered in scars from training and from various fights. He stands at 5’10” and is of average size. Having long since abandoned any fancy clothing he may have had, Mordecai now either wears simple armor or traveling clothes. His armor is mostly black leather, but has black and red shoulder plates and chest-plate. He wears black boots and wears black gloves whenever he wears his armor. His traveling clothes are comprised of a simple, loose, black shirt, a black belt, and loose, black pants.
Personality: Mordecai can appear to be a very harsh person, and, for the most part, he is. He does, however, refuse to kill if he does not have a purpose, but if you are his enemy, he will not hesitate to end you. Everything he does has a purpose in achieving some goal. His words often contradict what he does and he tries to make himself appear stronger than he is, both mentally and physically. His only problem with stealing is that it's a last resort. Stealing, to him, means that every other option has failed. Though he has learned many fighting disciplines, he has little self-control. His anger flares very quickly when he is told something he doesn’t want to hear. Though Mordecai can be a hothead, he is a very good strategist when his mind is clear. He is rather impersonal and values honor, strength, and power above many other things. Because of this, he spends much time trying to get stronger and almost totally refuses to take charity. Despite his rude and gruff demeanor, he wants to do good, deep down.

History:
Mordecai was born and raised as the crown prince of Hekwanyqueg, where he was taught that his country was superior to all others. He was told that it was his destiny to help lead his country to conquer all others. From a very early age, Mordecai was taught several martial arts, how to use several weapons, and war strategies. His day consisted of training, studying, a little bit of free time, and eating and sleeping. Some of his training was to build up his body’s resistances to give him a high tolerance of pain. His parents, though, were usually busy with running the country and other such things.
One of his father’s generals, however, took special interest in Mordecai. This general was a little older than the king and his name was Marcello. Marcello’s son, having seen all of the war-centered propaganda, became merciless, killing with the slightest provocation. This had led Marcello to find a greater meaning in life, and, hoping to change the country for the better, decided to try to change the prince. Marcello spent as much time as he could with the young prince, teaching him bits of proverbs along with his normal training. He also spent time just playing with the boy.
As Mordecai got older, he got more anxious to see what his father did. However, the prince was only allowed into meetings and such after his sixteenth birthday. Although, Marcello was able to get Mordecai into a few war meetings (once he turned 13), hoping to get him to see the thoughtless destruction they planned. In one of the meetings, a plan was proposed to send some soldiers out into the Wilderness to apprehend a great enemy warrior. Mordecai argued that this was a suicide mission, as the Wilderness was the most dangerous place on the world. The general and the king were not appreciative of this outburst, and the king told Mordecai that he would be punished.
The king refused to deal with a disrespectful and disobedient son, so he forced his Mordecai to fight him. Mordecai, of course, was unable to do this. His father, on the other hand, had no problem fighting his own son. He even chose to wield a mace, so he could leave a very noticeable scar. Mordecai, as soon as he saw whom he was fighting, threw his weapon aside and began to beg for forgiveness. His father, however, walked calmly over to him and stopped for a moment before bringing the mace across his son’s face, barely leaving Mordecai sight in his right eye. Mordecai laid on the ground, defeated inside and out, with blood running down his face.
The king told Mordecai that he was banished, and that his only chance to return would be to do the very thing that he had said would be so impossible. He had to kill all of the great warriors of their enemy nations. The king simply wanted to be rid of his son, but also saw a possibility to eliminate some of his enemies. Mordecai spent his time training for the day that he would be ready to fight these warriors. Marcello, though, mysteriously died before he could accompany Mordecai.
This left Mordecai alone for two years before an old friend, Althea, joined him. She had always had a crush on Mordecai, but she wasn’t willing to leave everything behind until then. After another year, right before Mordecai left to fulfill his quest, the heartless attacked his home. At first, he didn't really care, but as time went on, he first decided that he had to help his home, then he realized that they wouldn't stop after overtaking the kingdoms. Soon, however, the heartless destroyed his world, and Mordecai was spit out at Traverse Town.
