In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

A wolf's howl cracked the cold air towards the wide Harvest Moon that's been intercepted with the iconic silhouette of the Curly Hill. It would seem like any other common night, but the howl was a trumpet of an arrival as green flames licked the dusty dirt grounds at the base of the curvacious hill. The bright green caressed the hill as black leather bottom of skirts grazed against the ground. The Skirt were made of long section of leather bound by jingling linked chains for easy mobility. A familiar flamed fringed robe followed behind like a chain like a cloak.
For the first time in ages, long green legs were exposed to the yellow moon ending in fitting boots. With a flutter a hood was withdrawn and a pair of horns gleamed in the moonlight, while narrowed eyes of the same hue glared and roamed in precision. Despite her mood, she kept her darkness intact, but it didn't stop the peeping toms, the shadows, to shyly follow her along with mummy wrapped heartless uprooting themselves like zombies and their graves
With a snort of her pointed nose, her angular face hadn't changed in expression once the curl unfolded itself as a walkway. Someone must have gone through enough work with a needle and thread to sow up poor Humpty Dumpty of a sack of bugs together again. Still she had sought him out before and brought him back, so such skill enough could be used as leverage of a threat. Even without it she didn't need muscle to push him back, but alas it wasn't that sort of occasion. If anything it should be merry and jolly.
Oogie Boogie had risen above his groveling stature like the insects he were made of, merely food and proteins to be devoured to nourish, burnt off, and disposed of...or even lower to that of a pest that's crushed by a heel or a thumb. The corner of her thin lips curled back in a smirk as she neared Oogie's Manor as she refrained from the soft sounds of his infectious jazz music that wavered from it.
A brow arched at the solitude; one would presume by now she'd see an overused and vile bathtub carrying the utmost devious ankle-biters this world managed to produce. The thought of children itself was enough to make her taste bile in her mouth. Darkness they may become, but they were too mediocre: Shock, Lock, and Barrel. No she never found them as anything to be taken seriously, but for Kingdom Hearts sake she what she would've given to steal their hearts after the constant babbling she had to endure just for them to comprehend and cooperate, while she awakened Oogie. It only took a little show to just show how BAD she could be. After that they made sure not to step the tail of a dungeon dragon. Never EVER again would she put up with children.
Tch and an old fable said that light was in the hearts of children...more like the eggs of pests!
Now her nose gained a few wrinkles as she frowned at those unwanted memories, but it melted down once feeling a familiar set of talons curling around her shoulder blade with consciousness to not puncture her. Turning her head, it ducked away from her horns and was granted with a peck on its feathery head, "You arrived on time my sweet. After all it would be rude to not be present when we're about to give our blessing."
Oogie Boogie was busy in his casino room, doing things any normal boogieman would do: Eating small creatures, creating deadly traps, singing in a in the key of Bflat blues, and other such things. soon he was just about done with such things, well except for all the above things that were stated, because, he can never stop that, but that was above the point.
The lights in the casino flashed now as Oogie threw around pairs of dice, each pair landing on snake eyes.
"Snake eyes again," Oogie said slamming his fist down near the dice making them each change numbers.
"Oooo better," Oogie said with a grin. Oogie turned around and wobbled around the room, checking to see if all his numerous traps were working, which of course all were working quite well. Once Oogie was satisfied enough, he stepped on a big red button making all the traps go back to there passive modes, and made all the casino lights turn off.
Oogie then bored with the casino wandered out only to notice someone at the bottom of the tree house. He didn't invite anyone over, or at least he thought he didn't. Either way it was a person who wasn't supposed to be here, and Oogie would find out why the person was here, though from his view the person did look familiar.
So, Oogie wobbled down the tree house only to see it was someone he knew.
"Well now, if it isn't my favorite dark green witch," Oogie said, for it was the old Hellfire leader. Last Oogie saw her she sort of brought him back into the council, but then she just up out and vanished, but now she was back. Was she looking for her position back? Who knows.
"So the old witch returns, what can this Boogieman do for you?" Oogie asked with a grin.
Standing at the door, she didn't bother to knock. Who was she to even knock to be greeted? The door should open up to her; even her raven could feel her sense of superiority rubbing off of it. His eyes narrowed making his purple bags wrinkle more; before he can release an obnoxious 'kaw' from its ajar beak, a low hissing sound emitted from his mistress pursed lips, "Patience, my pet; be patient and the door shall upon up to you. I'm sure even our buggy friend knows hospitality."
All the pent up energy for a boisterous yellow was released in a low frustrated coo as he ruffled his feathers before flapping hard to switch shoulders. It's neck stretched in curiosity then disgust as it practically sneered once hearing the thumps of heavily filled burlap sack and creaking squeaks of old wood. Yellow serpentine eyes blinked unamused, but a chuckled shook her chest once at the idea of the obese sack to fall through the floor with his heavy wobbles.
The worn door wiggled up with a shove revealing a dirty bag of bugs that made even the grotesque voodoo dolls jealous. For something without eyes, even the black gapping holes on his 'face' seemed to move, whille observing and recognizing her. The Fey resisted frome scrunching her nose at his smell, the sight of his stains, and his snake like tongue when he spoke, "Ooh? Last time I checked, I was the only green witch you know. Surely you haven't replaced me with another."
With one step forward, she crossed the threshold with Diablo gliding in ahead of her. Her eyes didn't even scan around his abode; she new it was 'quaint', 'wretched', and overall nothing she would soil her robes by sitting on it. As usual, she perfered to stand. Turning around fluidly, she gave a small smile at him, "Well of-course, darkness can't just stay away, and seeing how there are still...devious minds around like yourself, humor and infoorm me of the worlds' on-goings."
Her thinly arches brows rosed with a hum as she waited, and if he knew her well, he wouldn't disappoint or tried to make a patient woman out of her. While she chattered with Oogie, Diablo had other motives. Flapping around from perch to perch, his eyes narrowed about. He didn't see a hair, horn, foot, or tail of those filthy heathens, Oogie's henchmen.
He wouldn't land on the floor in their presence even if his life depended on it. They wouldn't hesitate to yank his feather free, and his mistress didn't give him any orders to NOT gouge any eyes out today. With those fiends out of sight, he somewhate relaxed until a cockroach was spotted crawling on the floor.
Flapping down, he landed next to it and followed in amusement before pecking it down until it stilled.
"Well there are those witches in Halloween Town, but they are no fun, unlike you," Oogie said with a grin. It was strange that Maleficent was back now. It's almost like the Council will be whole again except they were still missing many of the original members, who knows what happened to them. They are all probably dead or doing crazy stuff.
"Oh the world you ask," Oogie said with a chuckle.
"Well look around, darkness is still here the heartless are still roaming, and soon this world will be under the control of the Hellfire Council," Oogie said with a huge laugh. It was true Oogie had planned to reveal his plan to the council very soon about taking over Halloween Town, then all the other holiday towns, and Oogie would then become the seven holiday king.
All this thinking of victory and his plans was starting to make Oogie hungry again, so much so that he caught a beetle crawling nearby to fill his endless stomach for now. Oogie wondered how Maleficent would take to what he said. He always knew she was in for the conquest, and other darkness stuff. Always about darkness this and darkness that. Now Oogie only uses darkness to summon the heartless, who are always happy to lend a hand most of the time.
Her skin nearly rippled into scales at the audacity that he could be comparing her to the mediocre crones of this meek graveyard of a world; for a moment the pupils of her eyes sharpened, but retreated back calmly. With her chin arched highly, she proudly hummed back at him. She highly doubted he could consider her fun on the account he hardly last long enough to see her...be loose and let her hair down in the fury of her fiery passion.
She blinked flatly and his unnecessary repetition; the long her lags, it became harder to hold unto her 'lady-like' qualities. Her eyes widened, which could be translated as alarm and shock, since she surely was at her new-found tolerance level. Of-course she knew darkness and the heartless was about; HELL, she was up and running, the Mistress of all Evil, the bastard child of Darkness, and seed of Evil in a feminine body. Then she blinked at the sound of her old assembly.
Hm? The Hellfire Council Her brows could arch any higher. Blinking slowly, she gaze diverted to her familiar who gawked back at her. The bird's eyes narrowed even more and became even more motivated to bounce and fluttered about in the manor to find any trinket to snag, bugs to peck, and anything fragile to tip over from its perch. The idea of what he was talking about seemed so ludacris that she had to chuckle; it was absolutely laughable.
"Hellfire Council, what Hellfire Council? Surely you aren't missing a few earwigs or roaches in there Oogie. That's very...," her laughter faltered; she spoke to soon. Damn the blasted devil, he was devouring a beetle in front of her without any sense of decency. Naturally her nose just wrinkled in distaste with a roll of her eyes, "unlike you."
Her lips parted enough with her chuckle to show her teeth, "So what in the worlds are you talking about? Don't tell me you manage to get off this rat hole and somehow reached...Jafar, found Ursula, sway Hook, convince Hades, and so on and so forth."
A long painted nail tapped and traced around the green orb on her staff, "It would be a miracle enough if they join your campaign; seeing how...some can get wrapped up in their own endeavors."
Maleficent was starting to look grumpy or angry, but that didn't bother Oogie much, to him she always looked on the sour side. Maybe it was something Oogie said. He always had a way of saying some weird and rude things.
"Hm," Oogie said now wiping his mouth. Maleficent seemed somewhat amused at the idea of Oogie running the council. Oogie didn't know why, nor did he care. All that really mattered for him was to make sure the council would go and conquer the world, and with the help of the heartless it wouldn't be that hard.
"Oh those old people I haven't heard from them in ages," Oogie said thinking back on all the old members.
"I have my own lot now, and they're meaner than ever," Oogie said thinking on his two members. Really though two people wasn't a lot. The old council had six members including Oogie, and now Oogie had three members including himself. Sure that was a decent number, but was still half the size of the last council.
"They may not have the charm of the old council, but they look strong enough," Oogie said laughing. Hm, maybe now that Maleficent was back maybe should would want to help out the old bag of bugs
His ooown lot, those very words were enough to make her giggle or gag at the amusing and wretched thought. Yet he never mentioned how many. What could she expect from a gambler who took her place or thought he was suitable for such responsibility. If he had large numbers surely a proud bug like himself with gloat and boast about it, and if he had a bad hand perhaps he would keep quite or speak even loudly to birth fuel and life to a fooling lie. Either way, there was hardly much to be impressed about it.
"Looks can be fooling Oogie; many would look at you and not see such a commodity to the rise of darkness or any invader of a world. So perhaps...you need to look over this lot of yours. Now how only like yourself ever managed to meet them?" With the question at hand Diablo fluttered up on one of the houses' beams above Oogie's head. If he was able to traverse worlds, surely the smartest thing to do was to seek her out. It wouldn't be bright for an abnormal sight of a hefty bag of bugs to be wobbling around the snowy cobblestone of Traverse Town or bouncing in the sunlight of Twilight Town.
"From the looks of this world, it hardly changed let alone have influences of many visitors or your own; as rumors has it, Jack Skellington is still the proud Pumpkin King as if there's nothing to be weary of. Even the heartless here are somewhat silent."
Oogie looked at himself. Sure he wasn't the darkest looking bag of bugs, but he was the scariest. He didn't know what Maleficent was talking about so he let her ramble on. Though she was right about looking over his lot if he didn't they were the dark type and could turn treacherous.
"Oh they managed to find there way to me, my dear Maleficent," Oogie said with a hearty laugh. Silly Maleficent, she should have known that answer. It's true though, all the current members happened to come to Halloween Town, so Oogie, only had to use his words to get them to join really. Oogie noticed the bird fly above him. Mm that would probably taste good with some glowworms, and stuffed with dung beetles, but Maleficent would probably get quite angry if Oogie did that.
"Don't even mention that bundle of bones Jack, soon very soon, I'll be the true terror of Halloween Town, and the only Pumpkin king they'll ever need!" Oogie said with each word getting louder.
"Soon the heartless will rise as this world becomes our own Maleficent a darling thought wouldn't you agree," Oogie said with a chuckle now back to his normal voice. Speaking of heartless a little ways back from Maleficent Oogie spotted a shadow appear then disappear. The heartless were still here, and who better for them to serve than the great, the terrible, the magnificent Oogie Boogie.

She resisted from the left corner of her lip twist in a smirk. Jack Skellington was still a thorn in his back. She let him recover the ego wound, then she gave a light nod of the head. With a gentle wave of her hand, Diablo soared down to her shoulders as she made her way to the exit, "Vey well, I should be on my way; I shall return and hopefully this will all turn out how you hoped it be. But be reminded as long as Jack is still around as well as the key; there will still be a little problem. Be sure to handle that, The One True...Pumpkin King. May those you found serve you well, you're making a commendable effort. Do not fail."
"I'll return, and when in doubt, send a shadow." Turn on her heals, her cloak whipped as her strong long stride gait carried her quickly. She could feel Diablo turn on her shoulder to give the bag of bug a hissing warning before the pair was devoured by green flames.
Oogie stared at were the witch was before. She always had those flashy exits didn't she.
"It was nice seein ya again Maleficent," Oogie said giving a wave and laughing. Well his buisness with the witch was well done for now, and it was nice she reffered to Oogie as the true pumpkin king, though she was right as long as Jack and the key brat is still around he could be in trouble, but he would worry more about that later.
So Oogie set of towards the outskirts of Halloween Town.
