In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

A body was sprawled out on the floor in a humble clearing in the Bamboo Grove; the only sign of life was a groan of pain as a pair of indigo eyes flickered open with a wince at the bright sun beaming through the plants. It took a while for her eyes to adjust after seeing nothing but darkness, a beacon of light, and now this, “Uugh I’m not going to do that again anytime to soon.”
Laying there vulnerable to the world, Kairi to a moment to reflect how she got here rather than observing the new world she was dumped in. Radiant Garden was where she was last; she couldn’t find a way off or her connections to help her. Reno was evasive, which became an increasing norm; she doubted Axel won’t come hunting her down in a few days, and who knows what cover Ienzo had to play for the time being. In her mind, she explored the forbidden unprotected regions of Radiant Garden to train herself; her heart and keyblade was an efficiently lure for the heartless. It was a brash, impulsive, and bold idea; even the close attempt of being snatched away by a Heartless didn’t cripple her heart to deter her.
One could say that training with Kuu, her keyblade, and her light brought a false sense of security and thin blanket of invincibility. Roaming the ravines, she waited for them to surface, unleashed her light, cleansed their hearts, and loaded up for the opportune moment. More came through a dark portal, one she willfully ran into with a blazing light. There she was in the Realm of Darkness safe from being tainted but prone to losing her heart. It was so dark that she couldn’t see her hands in front of her, but she could see dots of yellow. Before the heartless could overcome her, a bright light burst before her with an on-coming feeling of falling. The light forced her eyes closed, and when she opened them, she was here.
The Princess wielder didn’t sit up until her heart started racing. Perhaps it was a good thing Sora wasn’t nearby now; she literally had to shut her mind from hearing his angered, concerned, and worried voice. If leaving without a word was a stupid selfish idea, then Kairi just stepped into the big leagues with her last maneuver. Riku, she doubted he could even look at her for that one. Even though he never uttered it, Kairi could read his esteem about himself and the dark. Knowing what he went through to find and help her and save himself, this wasn’t the greatest notion of gratitude let alone acknowledgement of his hardships to just dive into darkness without a second thought.
“Some friend I’m turning out to be,” standing up she finally looked around; this is what she wanted, but it didn’t stop her from feeling alienated and lost, “Wh-where…am I?” Dusting herself out, she made a bee-line towards the dirt trail walking cautiously around the corner. Peaking around, her lithe fingers wiggled in her pack to grab her Destati Isola keychain. With a shimmer, her keyblade solidified for she can switch the chains around; at least with her summons at hand she wouldn’t be completely alone.
Yellow eyes from the bamboos blinked before narrowing in concentration. Claws wrapped around them in anticipation with a flick of a brown monkey tail. Round ears twitched, while the brown toned Powerwilds crept in the thicket. Jumping within their hiding spot, they remained hidden as their hunting ground became fruitful.
As per usual, darkness was spitting a whole number of bewildered people throughout the worlds, displacing and dispersing them into the hands of fate and darkness. Kiki was pulled into the darkness from all sides, her eyes squeezed shut and her teeth clenched against the impending disaster; she didn't know where Jiji was, and she could hardly feel her broom, and it was all she could do to remain conscious.
Eventually, however, she was spat out - directly into a grove of odd looking trees. She shrieked as the branches caught at her dress and limbs, scraping her up something good. Jiji yowled on her shoulder, his claws painfully digging into her skin. The broom beneath her whizzed out of control, shooting out from underneath her and gravity dropping her like a rock. The bag around her shoulder tumbled and fell out of sight, somewhere beyond the trees. And she finally hit the ground on her rump, coughing and groaning as she could feel the brand new bruises and cuts stinging. "Ungh... what a fall... Jiji?"
The cat's fur was puffed out to its full height, and his eyes were wide and freaked. Had it been any other situation, Jiji's condition would've been a source of amusement, as it was too often he got his fur ruffled; but now, they were sort of in the same predicament. Still, his snide voice was a welcome relief, especially after all that time of being unable to talk to him. "That was the most fun I've had in a while," came his sarcastic remark, and Kiki rolled her eyes (though not without wincing).
"C'mon, Jiji..." She slowly got to her feet, the cat still clinging to her shoulder; movement hurt for the moment. "We've gotta get back to Koriko and figure out what happened to everybody."
After a moment of sifting through the trees, she finally emerged in a clearing of some sort. Her finicky broom had flown into the middle of the clearing, where it looked as though it had skidded to a halt. The orange bag was there as well, and some of the contents had spilled out of its bag; hastily, she bent down, stuffing it full again and slinging it over her shoulder. Jiji - still a little on edge - moved to the top of her head, flopping over her bow with a sigh.
She picked up the broom and glanced around, her heart sinking. None of this was remotely familiar; even the trees looked strange and foreign. A lump rose in her throat and her eyes pricked, but she swallowed it back, holding her chin high and marching towards the mouth of the thicket - unaware of the dark eyes that watched her and another...
"Oh!" Kiki paused, coming across a figure ahead - now that she'd turned a corner, she could see that she wasn't alone. A girl was standing there, cautious in her stance, holding a weird-looking, gigantic key. She looked a few years older than Kiki, and she could feel Jiji eyeing her warily, clambering back down her scalp to wind nervously around her shoulders.
"Um, excuse me," she said uncertainly - but her tone was rushed, upset, and tense, despite her politeness. "But, um, do you know where Koriko is? I kind of need to get back there!"
Oh, she was so woefully oblivious to the danger that was lurking just within the trees, the danger that she may have inadvertently brought with her, what with the new darkness portals that had appeared...
“Um, excuse me,” was enough to make Kairi jump; she didn’t expect anyone to be out here… well not a young girl. Her tension slackened once her mind caught up with her and informed that it was just a girl not a heartless or a nobody. While listening to her voice, she didn’t come off as a Heartless or a Nobody, but with her sense of luck and experience, Kairi wondered if she can truly distinguish people from them. The only contender was that she asked about a place, a place she never heard of. Mulling over the foreign name, her brows wrinkled in thought.
Koriko… Whatever Koriko was this wasn’t it; if so she wouldn’t be asking. Maybe it’s a name of a town here versus the worst case scenario, a world. With the possibilities, she could very well be a normal little girl who at the wrong place and the wrong time, lost everything, and was up-chucked elsewhere. Yet Kairi prefer to be optimistic rather than toss bad news at the girl without much information; for all she knew Koriko could be somewhere…here…whatever here was.
“Um,” oh she wish she wasn’t uncertain, “I’m somewhat, well am, new here, so I don’t know my way around let alone a Koriko.”
Subconsciously Kairi bit her lower lip in embarrassment, then brushed her hair back behind her ear; so much for a keyblade wielder to not know her way around let alone be ignorant of worlds. “Is it a town around here? Maybe we’ll run into it along this trail. We…can walk together if you want.”
That was a more solid start. At least then they can learn together, if this girl was native here and what is this world. Walking up to her, she held out a hand. Getting a closer look, she noticed how disheveled she looked. There were leaves here and there; her bow was ruffled, and there was a black cat on her shoulders. For a moment, she swore it was staring at her intently. Shifting away from staring at her pet, she noticed the broom. What was…she doing beforehand? Using the broom to sweep in the thicket seemed very less likely. “I’m Kairi by the way.”
From behind hidden in the bamboos, tails twitched as the number doubled: one heart, two hearts, black and pink. Their attention was distracted sensing more darkness; there was a spike earlier, but the essence lingered with the presence of bug-like shadows stalking the girl they’d followed.
