In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Lazing back in his chair, Vito simply brushed off the concern of his companions with a wave of his hand. It's nothing," he told them "I can't think of any better use than using it to help others get a new start. I can always make more."
Vito began staring out the large window and watched the setting sun as he answered Glacio's concern. "Yeah, Radiant Garden is home to a quite a selection of Heartless. Don't worry though, due to the efforts of the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee they've all been pushed back into Villain's Vale. I here there some kind of witch who lives there who controls them. They raid the town every once in a while but they are easily driven back."
Lucas' statement made him laugh out loud without control, "Other worlds? You mean besides this world plus all of ours'? My guess is that there are countless worlds out there."
He then noticed a middle aged woman entering from the door to the kitchen and making her way to a desk near the door. "Just a moment fellas, I'm going to talk to the innkeeper about getting you each a room." Getting up from the table, Vito walked towards the lady with his munny in hand. "Evening Miss Lamperd, I'd like to purchase rooms for the two gentlemen at my table over there for three days with meals please." As he counted out the correct amount and placing it on the desk he waited for the female innkeeper to gather the appropriate keys.
"I now, again, have another question, and I am sorry if I am starting to get on your nerves with these. But, how often is every now and then when it comes to raids, and also how many heartless normally come in the raids?" Glacio asked with very, very slight concern, "Like is there normally a specific time they come around, or is it like once a month or so?" Glacio was now somewhat excited, he now had a place to sleep(for now, but sleeping arrangements will be more permanent when he has jobs going.) and he also could help out with the cities protection whenever it was needed.
Lucas blushed slightly at Vito’s comment but he signs it off figuring it was deserved, “I guess it was only a matter of time before I said weird, oh well”.
As Vito’s laughter filled the room, a woman had come in from the kitchen and headed to the front deck, after calming himself, Vito went up to her and ask for the rooms for Lucas and Glacio, “I still feel kind of bad for Vito paying for me, I better find a job fast so I can pay him back quick”.
As Vito was paying, Glacio asked another question this catching his attention, “Wow, Glacio you ask a lot of question, not that its bad or anything like that”, Lucas said turning towards their guide, “However, he does have appoint Vito do you know anything about these raids?”
"Thank you Miss Lamperd," Vito said, taking the two small brass keys. Walking back to the table he placed both before the two boys and said, Here you go guys. Both your rooms are on the third floor. Glacio, you're in room 304 and you're in room 303 Lucas. She said that dinner will be ready in about 10 minutes."
Vito sighed as he explained, "Raids aren't all that regular here, I've only helped repel two attacks since I've arrived here. Trust me we've got nothing to worry about. Even if the Heartless do attack, Avas is always on the lookout and will inform me at the smallest hint of danger."
ok this is good, now I can sleep somewhat peacefully without worrying about a heartless killing me in my sleep, Glacio thought to himself bringing a small smile to his face. "Thanks for doing this for me and Lucas. So, do you think later, you could show us how to get around town and take up jobs?" Glacio asked wondering what he could do to help out with the city.
Lucas picked up t and held the key in his hand thinking to hmself, Come to think of it I have never been in hotel or inn before and now here I am letting someone pay a three-day stay, who would of guess
"Thanks again Vito, now I need to get some food", Lucas said as he was about to get up he looked at both of his companions, "you guys coming or you going make me eat by myself?"
Glacio got up and walked next to Lucas, saying on his way there, "I'm coming, I was the first one to mention I was hungry remember." Glacio's stomach started growling again, but this time it was louder than normal. "Vito you aren't gonna keep your friends waiting, are you? I don't like to start eating until everyone is ready...aaannd as you obviously know, I'm pretty hungry right now. So are you coming or not?" Glacio said in a somewhat joyful/playful tone. "But,mainly thanks for helping me and Lucas out."
Vito slid easily off his chair before walking past his companions towards the kitchen, "Don't worry gentlemen, you're not the only ones looking for a bite." In the kitchen he ordered himself a hearty bowl of beef stew and several pounds of raw steak.
Handing over a few extra munny for the meat, Vito placed his bowl on their table before taking the meat over to a door that led to the back garden. Opening the door he cried out, "Hey Leon, I've got food!" before placing the plate of steaks on the ground. Instantly the great lion ran over before pouncing on the meat and chomping away. Satisfied, Vito closed the door and returned to his stew and companions.
"If you boys don't mind me asking, what can you tell me about your worlds?" he asked with interested curiosity.
As Vito headed to the kitchen Lucas followed suit and ordered himself a bowl of ramen with barbeque pork headed back to table and sat down as Vito took the raw meat to his lion companion. When Vito returned he ask about both Lucas’s and Glacio’s worlds.
“Well”, Lucas said before slurping and chewing his food, I came from a world called Howl Town it was a beautiful place. The town was surrounded by a dense forest that when the wind blew it howl like a pack of wolfs if you where not used to it, it would most likely frighten you. My home was a little like Radiant Garden but we had vehicles called cars that help us get to place that were too far to walk. Then were blacksmiths forges, temple for the monks and priest and My parents once told me that then was a land some were in deep in the forest but anyone who tried to searched for it would never be seen again.
"Well my town, when compared to Radiant Garden, looks relatively old. I came from Altergaisia, this town had three classes of people:
The villagers/peasants, they lived in a big area of the town, and they were very common, they had to grow their own food or buy it from the markette, they also had greater beliefs,I was originally a villager.
The next class was the nobles, they had much money, normally they weren't very honest people, and took what ever food the villagers had at the moment, with the exception of the king, he was a very true, nice, honest man.Normally he would share any free space in his castle for people who were homeless.
Lastly there are the knights. They are pretty much normally a combination of villagers and nobles. A villager being knighted was very rare. Normally some of the more noble classed knights would become brutes and not have any morals what so ever. They would brag about the beatings they induced. I became a knight when the king personally saw my honesty and bravery, against a noble who was trying to take my family's food for the week, after he smacked it into the ground. I stood up to him, and the king saw his reaction and then exiled the corrupt noble, afterwards the king knighted me for my bravery. That is were Azreal, my magical mentor, then came and trained me in the art of magic and defense for many years." Glacio said, recalling upon the memories of his past world, smiling remembering the fun times he had. " So what was your world like Vito?"
As he dug into his stew, Vito listened to his companions talk about their home worlds. He doubt Lucas' 'howling forest' would scare him much, his world had forests that were literally infested with packs of wolves and worse creatures. He could connect easier with Glacio's world, except for the different classes. While the society of his tribe included different groups none were ever considered to be 'superior' to the rest.
Pushing his now empty bowl and spoon forward, Vito said "My world is young and beautiful, but also wild and dangerous. The land is separated into five major land masses; the Ancient Forest, Far Reach Mountains, Emerald Swamp, Soulless Desert, and the Sulfur Plains. My tribe, the Beastkins, live in the forest, the Cloudtalons reside in the mountains, the swamp holds the Murkyscales, and our enemies the Dragonbloods were banished to the plains. Nobody lives in the desert except for those exiled by the tribes and all Beastkin Warriors participating in the Trail of Life."
"All the tribes tend to seclude themselves from the others, except for the Dragonbloods who survive by raiding the others. In the Beastkin tribe, we participate in the Rite of Passage when we turn 10 when the Chief Elder awakens our elemental powers and separates us into various divisions. There are Warriors, Guardians, Caretakers, Hunters, Lorekeepers, Healers, and Trade Divisions. Each division is lead by an Elder and the Elders are ruled by the Chief Elder who is chosen among them. When separated, we all become apprentices until we each perform the Trials of Body, Heart, and Life. It is then when we become fully fledged members and gain full rights and responsibilities. I've finished my training and became a true warrior since I was 18 and have been serving my tribe with honor and loyalty ever since. At least, until two weeks ago." Vito then looked out the window at the setting sun, wondering what the fate of his world had been and how long it would take him to return.
After his explanation Lucas returned to eating listening to the story of the worlds his companions were from. “Glacio’s tale was amazing being knighted by a king most be cool” Lucas thought as he ate.
After Glacio was finished Vito told his origins, his world was sounded like something out of fantasy only a lot more interesting such a organized and well kept culture. Lucas finished his food and said, “Man, your worlds sound amazing such a way of life it’s fascinating”.
Lucas thought for a moment before continuing, “I mean don’t get me wrong I love Howl Town and I always will; its just I don’t know anything beyond it and hearing two people from two different worlds talk about them is like a dream come true”, Lucas tried to keep himself calm but his child-like smiles where just to hard to resist.
“I’m glad that I meet you two; this reminds me of how I used to be”, Lucas said before realizing what he had just said and now was very uncomfortable, “um, lets forget I said that, ok?”
"It's ok Lucas, I understand how you feel," Glacio said, remembering when he was a little kid,"It's ok to let your dreams out every now and then."
Then, after saying that to Lucas, he ordered three pounds of medium well done steak, and some of that stuff Lucas called, Ramen.
"So, Vito, could you tell us a bit more about your crystal pets? I am interested in them. They have unique personalities, and I am hoping I can get along with your friends." Glacio said waiting for his food.
"There's nothing wrong with appreciating the wonders of other worlds. From what I can see, each world is different and unique." Vito added.
Glacio's question suddenly caused Vito grab the table with great fury. Taking a moment to calm himself he released his hands, leaving two palm-shaped burn marks on the wood. With a slow breathe he replied, "Just for future reference Glacio, NEVER call they 'pets'. They are my companions, followers, and friends. They might seem tamed and controlled, but they're still as wild and free as the day they were born. I'll forgive you this time but never call them 'pets' again."
"Like I believe I've said before, every member of the Beastkin has the potential to become a Beastmaster. Beastmasters like myself have the natural ability to bond with a wild creature of nature and let them fight along side us. Warriors like me are required to assemble a full team before we are allowed to become true Beastmasters. A full team consists of the Beastkin leader and three animals of opposing elements. Since my element is Fire, I had to bond with a beast of Earth, Water, and Wind. Leon was my first, I found him as a cub when I was twelve and he controls Earth. I found Avas and Sythe during my Trial of Life and they each represent Wind and Water. With Fire, Earth, Wind, and Water combined, a true Beastmaster can even control the very flow of life. Unfortunately, we aren't strong enough yet to wield such power.
"I am sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. I just am not used to seeing animals so wild and free, that seem so tamed and well controlled. But, it seems this is another way how are worlds are different. Our definitions of the word 'pet' are different. What I meant by pet,I am by no means trying to offend you on purpose, is what you considered a companion. Where I was,a pet was a name or term used when you are emotionally, connected and attached to an animal/spirit. They don't have to be yours, they could be wild, but where I am from a pet is an animal(regardless of the type) that one can love and enjoy the company of, and if I am correct though I may be wrong in this but you do love your companions, as you also enjoy their company. So I am sorry that I offended you, Vito and I am glad you forgive me." Glacio said, realizing that the same words could mean different things in different worlds.
