In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

"Alright Rikkuuuu," the last syllable stretched with a groan followed by a few opping bones, "it's showtime and time to move these glutes; I can't sit around eating grilled cheese. I'm gonna loose my figure."
With a yarn, a soft hand with long fingers rubbed the stiffness of a round feminine face. A head full of hair bound up with braids and a ponytail swayed with her current unorthodox grace of sleepiness. Today the Al Behd wore a burnt orange vest with a pair of matching arm guards. Her moss green skirt had some give to stretch her legs according as she left her humble abode.
As a thief she should be a lithe as a cat for agile stealth. Descending down rocky lofts, Rikku maneuvered farther away from the Bailey and into what was the restoration site. The world was back to it's 'old self' or rather how much they could've re-captivate. Leaning again, the Al Behd stretched her muscles out. With the addition stretches, Rikku became sluggish and too comfortable for moving about, especially if she still planned to go to the ravines.
A familiar ballooning of air rippled behind her, and spending nearly a year here made the Sphere hunter groan, "You guuuuys."
Turning her head, a pair of spiraled emerald green eyes pouted at the Crimson Jazz the floated with attention. Her whine didn't halt it; without hesitation, it bubbled a trio of fire balls, "I know you missed me and all but come ooon. Give a girl and a world a break."
Her childish complaints stopped as one was launched at her, and with a flail, it missed her, but Rikku could feel the warmth carress her sides, "HEY! That was RUUUUDE ya meanie!"
Mimi kept a steady pace through the borough, enjoying the peace of an early morning run. Since her whole livelihood depended on her being fit and agile, it was essential she exercised often. The bailey was her preferred run, since it was one of the better obstacle courses in Radiant Garden besides the ravines. She reached back to adjust the cutlass sheathed across her back, to keep it from slapping her scarred skin. Using the weight of the cutlass helped tone her leg and back muscles nicely, and kept the thieves away. She left her knives in her room at the inn, though, since there was no need for them, for exercise or defense purposes.
And Heartless, too, when they popped up, like that very moment. Mimi stopped at the edge of the bailey above the restoration site, seeing the Crimson Jazz attack some blonde girl, who was unarmed, as far as Mimi knew. Without hesitation, Mimi drew her cutlass and vaulted over the winding stairs leading down from the bailey, landing behind the blonde. "With this place's track record, you should really keep a weapon close, sugar."
When she looked back at the Heartless, two fireballs were coming at her face. She ducked, barely avoiding them. But another was close behind, and caught her arm. Mimi bit back a scream, and instead charged the Heartless. She slashed, managing to cut it deeply. It didn't put the Jazz down, however. It merely enraged it, sending a flurry of fire again. Luckily, Mimi rolled to the side and dodged it. "Hey, girlie, you might wanna hightail it and get some extra hands here, or do you have a nice pointy object somewhere on you?"
Now with the heartless pressuring her to move about, Rikku lost the need to yawn; her lethargic well-being was punted away over the castle. The thief hadn't react a rebuttal against the single-minded yet fiery heartless before hearing a swish of sound from behind. Someone was coming quickly, and being her paranoid and defensive self, the Al Behd rotated on her toes so her back wasn't completely exposed to whatever.
NOW I GOT TWO! Her wide eyes slackened back once registering the incomer to be a girl. Yellow beaded braids swayed with a curious tilt of her head, and for a moment she nearly forgotten that she already had company, one that was so kind to rob her heart if manageable. The girl almost looked like an ideal pirate, which was clarified as a foreigner in Rikku's book.
"With this place's track record, you should really keep a weapon close, sugar."
A half a second Rillu's eyes darted around wondering if she was talking to her. When was the last time someone called her sugar? The crackling call of flames caught the mechanics attention; she turned in time to see balls of flame, but they weren't targeted correctly at her. Even with a wound, this person was already on her feet to attack the Heartless, but how long would her accurate attacks last?
Although her hands were a sneaky pair at times, she wasn't an immoral person to neglect her like the other advised; plus she had met more difficult creatures at a younger age. Then again it was hard to rank some of them; with Spira's range of tenacious animals, none of them had overthrown worlds like the heartless. With that in mind, Rikku could hardly let herself underestimate them completely; unless their reign is highly influenced by inadequate defenses.
With a little call, her fingers tightly curled around a familiar weight of her large daggers. Giving a familiar twirl with her fingers and rising on her toes, a blur of yellow ran towards them. With a high jump, she slashed with a right before giving a solid kick. Once landing she looked towards the 'pirate' with a grin of mischief, "Already ahead of ya."
Before she could register it, the stranger was attacking the Crimson Jazz, who seemed to go down. Milania, to say the least, was impressed with the thief's agility. It was on par with a Walker acrobat, even. Not many (that she knew of so far) matched them. She grinned, and stood carefully, the full brunt of the pain from the burn finally registering. "Why does it have to be a fire user...?" she mumbled, switching her cutlass to the other hand, which wasn't shaking at the moment. She wouldn't be as good with her right, but it would do.
If there was one thing that Milania hated, it was the Heartless tendency to travel in packs. Shadows crept along the ground, forming up behind the fading Crimson Jazz. "Ugh, geez. We just barely finished that guy! Give us a break!" She looked over at Rikku as she shifted into stance. "Uh, you take the left and I'll take the right?"
Rikku chuckled, while eying the Crimson Jazz and not fully recognizing what the friendly stranger was referring to. Watching the heartless disappear didn't bring full satisfaction, it would return again some time later; only the keyblade can truly spirit them away to a peaceful ending. It was an unfortunate reminder along with the reality that the majority of people are just holding back the problem and buying time not fully extinguishing.
Hearing the woman's voice in disdain, Rikku blinked innocently before noticing the mob of shadows, "Naaah this is how they invite you to a party. Too bad it won't last long, and LEFT I GO!"
The one thing Rikku didn't like about the shadows was...they were always low to the ground. Side stepping she continued to gracefully move with a spin to gain momentum to kick a shadow up before slicing it apart. Riling them up was enough to make the eager bug-like parasites to jump at her, which made it all the easier to slice, dice, and packaged. Holding her dagger up to repel a furry of claws, Rikku eliminated the last of her pests, "I wasn't expecting small fries to be my wake-up call today. Hey you're still holding up?"
((Sorry for being MIA, our internet has been really wonky lately. >___> It's been slowly driving me insane~.))
As Rikku went left, Milania went right. Being short, fighting the shadows wasn't as tough on her...though it still wasn't a walk in the park. She swung low, catching a couple on their front, and barely missed another. It sidestepped, trying to take her from the side. She spun out of its reach, slashing it in two. The rest were a flurry of claws, and wisps of smoke as they faded away.
When the last was finished, Milania paused to catch her breath for a moment. "Well, that was quite the work-out. So nice of them to help us keep our girlish figures." she said, putting her cutlass back into its place. "I could have done without this little present, though." She examined the burn on her arm, frowning. She hated scars, especially when they were visible to everyone. Made flirting a little less easy. She looked over at Rikku, and asked, "Hey, do you do magic? I could use some healing, if it isn't too much trouble."
