Name: Rayna Renée.
Nickname: R & R.
Age: Seventeen.
Gender: Female.
Species: Human.
Position: Lawful.
Powers/Abilities/Techniques/Skills: Can use Cure, Sound, Electricity and Water magic.
Rayna is very agile, especially at close-range combat. Her magic leaves more to be desired, as she has not practiced it often enough to use it at its full potential.
Weapon/Items:As of right now, Rayna's only weapon is a sword that her father crafted. She keeps it sheathed over her back.
Picture:[See avatar.]
Appearance: Rayna is petite; her height is around 5'5" and her weight is just over 100 lbs. Her hair is very loosely curled and it falls to her waistline; the main color is brown, although there are soft violet streaks throughout. They match her eyes (also a light shade of violet) which are most often widened, contributing to her long-lashed, innocent appearance.
Personality: Rayna is quite naive and trusts people much too easily. Not one to initiate confrontation, Rayna would rather talk things out than fight. However, this doesn't mean that Rayna can't get angry easily. If she's feeling insulted or believes her friends are being put down, she'll most likely become defensive - not necessarily angry, just defensive. She is very loyal to her friends and often becomes attached to people a bit too quickly.
Original World: Traverse Town
Current World: Traverse Town
History:Rayna was born and raised in Traverse Town by a single father. She had no siblings and so often, Rayna would become bored and wander around town aimlessly. After the Heartless began to appear, Rayna heard murmurs of a certain keybearer who cleaned up some of those Heartless in Traverse Town. Dying to get a piece of the action, Rayna stole into her father's workshop and took her favorite sword down from its place on the far wall. She had always admired it from afar, but never had a reason to use it. Figuring she would pick up the basics of swordplay as she went, the teen next made it a personal goal to learn all about those so-called Heartless and to get rid of them.
Role Playing Sample: The neon lights of her beloved Traverse Town would forever warm Rayna's heart and make her feel like she belonged. Even as a child, she would sit under the colorful bursts of light and smile up at them, regarding them as forgiving stars that decided to hang within her reach, just for her. And now, as a teenager, she crouched under them and watched as they glinted off of the ends of her hair in the most beautiful of ways. She smiled to herself but quickly became stoic as the prey she had been awaiting finally came into view.
There they were, three of them: Heartless. Shadow Heartless. Twitching erratically and scampering around as if they were drawn to certain spots on the asphalt, like bees would be to flowers. Rayna shuddered; they were unnerving with their glowing yellow eyes - not unlike the lights of Traverse Town, she noticed morosely - and their disconnected and flighty movements. With a grimace, the girl reached over her back, drawing out the sword her own father had crafted some time ago.
She gently ran her fingers over the blade before gripping it tightly in her left hand. Rayna loved this sword as if it were her most precious friend - which it very well could have been.
Flourishing it once then snapping it to her side, Rayna took a deep breath and crouched into a low, menacing battle stance. Her violet eyes glinted brightly, reflecting the neon she so loved - which grabbed the attention of the Heartless.
Without another word, Rayna launched herself forward in a dead run before sliding to the asphalt and sweeping a blow at the nearest Heartless. It made a sort of squelching sound and dissipated into a thin cloud of dark, but this was lost on Rayna as she had already moved on to the other two Shadows. Reaching the first, she feinted a blow to the right before striking at it to her left.
That Heartless screeched and whipped out a dark claw, catching her directly in the face with it. Rayna cried out before huffing angrily and swinging her sword into the offending creature, which quickly sighed and dissipated as well. The third and final Heartless had slid behind Rayna during her fight with its brother, and he used this to his advantage; he pounced onto the back of her leg. Rayna gasped and fell to one knee, turning and jabbing the Heartless in the stomach with her blade.
With the last Heartless gone, Rayna stood up (albeit a bit shakily) and brushed herself off, sheathing her sword and reaching up to brush her cheek where the Heartless had scratched her. She examined her hand; faint drops of blood had smeared across her fingertips.
Trivia: ♦ Rayna is left-handed.
