In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The more she thought about it the more it felt like she was trying to convince herself. Leaving Destiny Island was right thing to do, yet walking on the littered white sands filled her with guilt. The world she knew looked like a hurricane had hit it; it wasn’t atypical for the islands, but it wasn’t in season yet. Brushing her auburn hair behind herself, she stepped around fallen branches, while exploring what was left of the Play Islands. It looked like it was in shambles.
Maybe, she’d hoped to return to her world just the way she left it: warm and bright like Sora’s smile and Riku’s laughter as they lounged on the beach babbling their nostalgia. Perhaps that was her problem; she didn’t leave this world in basking happy memories, but with stealth, abandonment, and neglect. But she had to do it, needed to do it. She had to break out from their shadows and find her footing to stand on. Honestly she did learned a bit more about the worlds and fell into a few pits along the way. Still she hardly felt like she evolved at all; she was still at the bottom of the totem pole and could easily be picked off by poachers.
Learning a few techniques had gotten to her head until she realized how very little she knew; she was an amateur and as unprepared as she could be. No wonder why she found herself back at home. She was nowhere near ready; it’s as if she’d subconsciously admitted her weakness by not remaining in Radiant Garden. Then again, where else could she have gone? The crystal network was limited; it was either here or this Disney Castle; she recalls nothing of the world except Novi may have been from there. Other than that it was an alien world, and she was completely alone again.
The redhead groaned after tripping over a stray fallen branch, “I should’ve just stayed there…even if I haven’t seen Kuu around anymore. Yuffie doesn’t have much time for me and has been too kind. Ienzo is….Ienzo.”
For a girl who gathered a handful of friends, they all seemed to diminish. She couldn’t keep tabs on the heartless like she could barely keep track of Reno, who she’d missed the most out of all of them. He could’ve at least talked her out of traveling here or accompany her. Sure he would’ve poked and jabbed her buttons, but he made great company at the end of the day despite his bad smoking habit. He was the closet yet utmost different thing to Sora and Riku, so he wielded a sense of familiarity. True he would’ve been a hawk over her like the boys, but his scrutiny wasn’t overwhelming. He could’ve made this trip feel less anxious. She would even take Axel’s company right now, especially with this new enacted truce. Even though she had a deal with him, he could be as free as the win like Ienzo. Heartless and Nobodies alike have agendas, and it must be lucky for them to get by places quickly with portals. They can travel so far so fast and still keep up with her royal slowness. The thought of being the dead weight and slow baggage only made her feel sicker inside.
With her crumbling confidence and self-esteem, she roamed alone, while tingling with anxiety; any little sound she heard, the teen reacted quickly and wished a familiar face didn’t spot her. She doesn’t want to deal with Selphie; she would freak about her disappearance and report to her parents if she couldn’t drag her back home. The same goes for Wakka and Tidus. Sora and Riku on the other hand…
Her stomach flipped and twisted at the thought. No, that would be the worst encounter of them all. Also her timing couldn’t be any better. This place was a mess, so someone was bound to start a cleaning party before reassembling the damages caused by whatever storm she missed. Fortunately she had missed that; ever since the world was devoured by darkness, Kairi could hardly get over her new fear of storms. Soft rain could calm her nerves, but she instantly tenses when there’s too many rolling thunderous black clouds. She could still picture its yellow narrow eyes and wispy black locks.
“Uugh this was a bad idea, Kairi.” She hissed at herself, while pivoting around the way she came. She couldn’t stay here a minute longer. The fresh air was suffocating, and she was only minutes away from loved ones who were scared and worried sick about her. It was too soon to be back here, and as much she wants to help with the chaos that hit, she couldn’t be here, “ I’m so going BACK to the crystal”
