In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Cerci sat in her ship staring at what she assumed was another planet through the glass of Causeway's bridge. It had been a few days since she had last seen another world and she honestly wasn't looking forward to it; there was a point, after leaving Twilight Town, where she thought that she had gotten herself into a bigger mess than she was first aware. Those shadow creatures that she had encountered in the seemingly quiet town left her with nightmares and an undoubted feeling that she was constantly being watched. Every movement out of the corner of her eye gave her this paranoia that she thought would never go away. Sleeping was rare now, something that she avoided mostly because she was afraid of nightmares, of seeing those dark things in her dreams and being unable to escape from them.
It wasn't that she couldn't handle them, no, but that they just continued to spawn. They attacked the people she was with and thankfully left them with their lives, but also with a sore reminder to never venture into the tunnels unless they planned on meeting them again. Those monsters with the yellow eyes and the shadow forms; she could swear that she had heard their description before, but from where she didn't remember, not at that moment anyway. She figured that the memory would return in time, especially if she was going to be seeing more of them on her journey.
"And thus we've reached a stalemate," she breathed, her eyes still locked on the floating mass before her. She knew that if she searched that world for clues she would find them there; waiting for her. Then again it wasn't something she couldn't handle, it was just something she didn't want to handle in the first place, "What'd I get myself into, Causeway?"
She leaned back in her chair and pressed the palms of her hands to her eyes. After a moment of sitting there with her hands pressing her eyes closed, she sat up gripped her hands on the wheel and took in a deep breath. She knew that she couldn't just hide away from things she didn't understand, if she was going to find her uncle, she needed to be strong and face them head on. Shifting gears, she slowly made her descent into the mystery world, somewhat ready for whatever dangers waited for her there.
Copper sighed. He was tired, lost, and bored. After being tossed through different portals by the moogles, he felt sick, and ended up in some kind of big room which was very odd. So, leaving the room, he ended up in some forest in which the young knight immediately got lost. Sighing with resignation, he wandered around for awhile trying to find a way back into the room. If anyone was going to show up, he figured, they would in that room.
Finally he wandered through a gap in some grass and wound up back there. This world was just too damn confusing. The moogle said, "Back so soon?"
"This place is confusing!"
"Yes, yes, just a bit. I just stay here though so I don't have to deal with it."
With a sigh, Copper plopped down on the floor. Eventually someone would wander in.
"What are you doing?" The moogle asked.
"I don't wanna explore by myself, so I'm gonna wait on someone to show up."
One moment, Cerci was in her bridge, staring out the window at a slowly encrouching planet and the next everything had gone black and red and she could hear the alarm from Causeway's emergenc system blaring in her ears. She didn't know what was going on, but she didn't like it. Something was throwing off Causeway's systems and it made the poor girl shut down on herself, leaving Cerci to drift in whatever space she had put herself in.
"Shite, where are we?" she gazed out the window to see stars but no planet. How had she missed such a large hunk of rock, she could have sworn she was headed right for it. Releasing the steering wheel, she moved to adjust the piloting system and try to get Causeway back online when she felt a jolt from the rear of her ship that sent her sprawling against the controls. The sudden movement caused her head to reel in a sensation that resembled falling; looking out the window, she realized that they were.
"Blimey, we're right on top of her," cursing under her breath she tried to lift herself from the controls only to be pressed back down by the sudden gravity of their fast descent, "You know, for a good ship you sure do crash like a hunk of junk!"
She yelled this to her ship before the sudden jerk from the power system coming back on sent her flying back against the wall with a loud thunk as her head made contact with a solid surface, rendering her unconcious.
Blinking, she felt the pounding of her head and slowly attempted to rise to her feet only to be forced back down by the pain. She paused for a moment to reorganize her memories and remember what had happened before opening her eyes and looking around, she was surprised to see that she was no longer in the cabin of her ship but instead sitting on the floor in the middle of what looked to be a forest. For a moment, she thought she had somehow made it back to Twilight Town and was still in the woods there or even that she had never left the place but had somehow fallen asleep and was only now waking up, but after another look around she noticed giant flowers and mushrooms scattered about that she had never seen before and that couldn't have been in the small bit of woods that surrounded the other town.
"Where...am I?" she breathed, her hands moving over her arms and legs as she made sure she hadn't broken anything. After a moment of prodding herself, she discovered that she was fine, save the pounding headache she had, and tried to stand again; this time able to hold herself up against the tree before walking forward through the forest, her hand trained on the grip of her pistol. She didn't know exactly where she was, but for some reason she knew she wasn't alone. Once or twice she could have sworn she saw a shadow move from out the corner of her eye and she tensed up, feeling her heart pound nervously in her chest. The pounding in her chest reminded her that it would be best to take her medication before something else happened when she saw him; a male figure in the distance moving beyond the trees and wandering through the forest.
"Ahoy- er, w-wait!" she called out, running through the underbrush and trying to catch him before he got too out of sight. The individual must not have heard her because he continued walking until he eventually slipped through a patch of oversized grass and vanished from her view. Slowing to a stop, she approached the grass and hesitantly leaned through it, wary of the voices she heard on the opposite side.
"This place is confusing!"
"Yes, yes, just a bit. I just stay here though, so I don't have to deal with it."
Cerci paused in her leaning and listened, waiting for a moment to enter without interrupting the speakers and scaring them away or causing them to attack her. She heard a sigh and saw a glimpse of the male from before sitting on the floor.
"What are you doing?" the second voice she couldn't see spoke once more.
"I don't wanna explore by myself, so I'm gonna wait on someone to show up."
Seeing that as her cue, she stepped through the grass and found herself in what looked like a three walled room, the fourth wall being taken up by the grass she had entered from. She looked around the room for a moment before taking in the occupants and addressing them.
"Uh...you called?" she didn't really no what else to say, but realized after actually allowing what she did out of her mouth that it was one of the stupidest things she could have opened with and decided from then on that she would have to really think before she opened her mouth again.
Turning, Copper saw a young woman a few years younger than he approaching. "Well hello, Ma'am, and what brings you to this random backwater world?" At this, the moogle huffed, clearly peeved about being placed here instead of somewhere more interesting. "It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Copper." Appearing tired, Copper put a chair upright and plopped down into it. "I'm just exploring. I like finding new places and seeing new faces. Hey, that rhymed!" Grinning, he felt buoyant for no real reason. Just happy in general.
A new person this fast? This was unusual. It was nice to see someone besides himself though, regardless of who they may be. "I did call for someone, and here you are! What luck!"
Cerci was surprised by the welcoming looks she got from the occupants of the room, despite her awful introduction to the two of them. They seemed to be friendly enough, so she dropped her hand from it's place on her pistol and placed her hands awkwardly on her hips. That was the thing about talking to new people, she never knew what to do with her hands. Most of the time she'd just stuff them in her pockets, but she felt like that was a little disarming and difficult for her to whip her hands out of her pockets and grab her pistol or Midas without taking five years to do it.
Copper, she mouthed this as she stared at him, trying to discern whether or not his name had any semblance to his occupation. He seemed happy enough, smiling at her the way that he was; that or he was insane, something that she had decided wasn't a rare occurrence in the other worlds. After she decided it was none of her business she turned her attention back to the room, looking around and trying to avoid having to introduce herself so openly, with a sigh, she gave in, "Cerci...don't call me ma'am."
She awkwardly stood on the opposite side of the room closest to the grass and any quick escape she thought would be necessary, "So...backwater, huh? Where are we anyhow? I've never seen anything like- this before," she gestured widely, dropping her free hand to her side and pausing as her eyes settled on the small white creatures red ball of an antenna, "Nothing like this at all..."
It was true, the last world she had visited resembled some sort of civilized town at the least, but this place was practically a forest, save the random placement of the room they were in. None of it really made any sense, but she had a feeling that was probably purposeful.
