In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.
A special thank you to ChasingArtwork of Deviantart, who allowed us to use this stellar banner image.
There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

All Canon Characters belong to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Square Enix and Disney.
• Should a Canon character fall inactive it will be re-opened for public claim.
• Characters from any Kingdom Hearts game are allowed, with the exceptions of these characters, locked for plot purposes:

Young Xehanort

• Any new Final Fantasy game/movie/anime characters cannot be applied for until at least one month has passed since the release. This is to give others a little more chance to play through/watch it, and to therefore avoid spoilers and ensure that at least one of the moderators is familiar enough with the canon to judge the profile.
Final Fantasy Canon note: Before applying for any Final Fantasy canon, one must research characters in your canon's history that are played by somebody else on World Destiny.
Due to the fact that many Final Fantasy characters appear in both Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, cohesion between characters/histories can get messy. Please check with any current FF characters to make sure their canon's history will make sense with the one you're applying for.
1) Say you wish to take Lulu, from Final Fantasy X. You include Tidus, who also appears in both Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, in her history. 2) You do a quick check on how Tidus is played on World Destiny. You find the current RPer of Tidus has him as the far younger boy who grew up on Destiny Islands. 3) To remedy this, you would exclude Tidus from Lulu's history, or replace him with a made-up character.
On World Destiny, Kingdom Hearts histories have priority. If you need assistance fitting your character in, please ask a staff member.
Keyblade Wielders
Keyblade Wielders are currently limited in Kingdom Hearts: World Destiny. Keyblades are given out as either in-game events by moderation staff or won through contests.
Keep in mind that Keyblades are a lot of responsibility, and that means a lot of thought-out Role-Play.
• There are no true requirements for a keyblade, so please don't PM the staff asking what you must do. Just role play as a regular member and keep your eyes open for a chance at a Keyblade Contest.
• You may only have one/1 keyblade wielder, unless you are told otherwise.
• In order to prove that your character is a good match to be a Keyblade Wielder you must be active and as literate as possible.
• Please do not PM a staff member asking for a Keyblade. You will likely be redirected to the note about how Keyblades are given out.
• Please do not ask to be a dual wielder, we will choose you if we feel you are ready, but the greater the power, the greater the responsibility.
Magic and Abilities
Since the Nightfall, Darkness has increased its reach across most of the universe. Because of this White Magic (any magic used for good or selfless purposes) has weakened substantially.
Characters may still start with their magical spells and abilities (up to a limit of 3 and as defined in the Character Skeleton below), however these abilities may be weaker than he or she remembers. To regain a spell's original strength, the people who use White Magic (or anything like it) will need to pick up a materia of the proper element to harness the raw energy embedded within the magic crystals and rekindle the spell's power.
As the Darkness covered the universe, those villainous few using Dark Magic (a.k.a. magic that is bad and used to hurt people), have felt their own power bolstered. They don't necessarily need the materia, but the enhanced strength it provides will give them even more of an edge.
Extra Information
Players must make a new account for every character they would like to make. This is to aid in the separation of munny, items, and post count. The account name must match the name of the character. You may link characters you own with your c-box name via the "Played By" section of the mini-profile, and you may globally link your Proboards accounts.
Acceptance/Rejection:
Please use complete sentences, spot for grammar and punctuation problems, and run a spell-check before posting your character profile. Spaces between each paragraph are also highly appreciated.
Once your profile is accepted, an [ A ] will be added into the title and it will be moved to the proper Accepted board. If a profile is rejected, your profile will be moved to the Rejected Profiles board.
Common causes of rejection include not editing in the time allotted (without letting us know that you need more time) or submitting a profile with a vital flaw/too many problems to fix. You will always be given reasoning for rejection, and unless you break a core site rule you will always be given a chance to post a new or redone profile.
You may post an unfinished profile, but the letters “WIP” must be in the title to help us keep organized. All WIP threads will be given one week since the last thread edit timestamp to be finished and then moved to the Rejected board. If you need an extension, simply make mention of it and we'll give you some more time.
Character Power:
Being a Role-Playing community, it is difficult to create an atmosphere in which achievement and gains can be attributed to a character as they learn and grow, and at the same time not making characters seem overpowered to newer ones.
World Destiny will operate with the understanding that character strength is an invisible horizontal line. Everyone is relatively equal in regard to power here. We want members to focus on stretching their creativity and enjoying the scenes they build with each other.
Yes, there are some wibbly-wobbly variables; not everyone should know Ice magic, or Fire magic, or Wind magic. And a character who's strong in one should naturally be weak in another. This is what makes a team with diversity strong.
Even if we start out with the same strength level, those strengths may be attributed in different ways. Maybe somebody is really good at casting Light based spells and someone else is good at Barrier spells.
What they do with that strength, and the activities a character is involved in, will determine their accomplishments in the end...
Spells:
Spells are all relatively equal in power as well. Base spells, like Wind and Earth, are just as powerful as the combined spells you receive from Dueler X.
Items:
One of the big balancing issues installed on World Destiny revolves around items that apparently scale a person's capability differently. (Remember how I was talking about that invisible string of character normalized strength?) Well, it is going to take imagination for several of the items introduced in Nightfall.
Improving a character's chance to dodge or turning a character's skin to stone are easy enough to envision. But there will be something on behalf of peoples' imaginations to envision some things, like '10% more damage'.
It is up to the RPer receiving damage to ultimately decide how much their character takes, or if the attack coming at their character hits or misses.
We are trusting people to make plausible judgements about giving and receiving damage.
*Note: If you plan to be battling a character, please look at their inventory and see what sort of items they have.
