In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

ORIGINAL or CANON: Original
What was the inspiration for them / do they embody a particular feeling or emotion?
Esme embodies the emotion of a deep rooted desire to be alone, and an equally strong desire to be loved. Compassion, and hatred. Friendship and loneliness. She has so many emotions that they tend to all bleed outward, leaving her entirely void of any one of them. A 'neutral' state that's been a companion in the darkest of times.
Name: Esme, Eztli (First name is Esme)
Age: Nineteen cycles of the sun. (19)
Gender: Female.
Species:
Having used to be human, the fall of her home planet to the darkness left many people dead, including herself. But, like others, she had a strong enough will to reanimate the husk that the removal of her heart left behind.
Being a human, she's intelligent. Capable of planning and forethought. Morality. She may not always be the strongest race in the area, but she's certainly capable of surviving near any situation as long as she doesn't make a slip up.
Being Type: Nobody
Position: Chaotic Neutral.
Esme used to be a person that was more a chaotic good character. Inclined to help others, and strangers. But, her cynical side only got worse when her friends left her. The woman finds it hard to hold allegiance with anyone, and decides for herself whether or not something is right or wrong or if she will stop someone from acting. Disillusioned on the concept of true companionship, she's lost her family because of something she couldn't control, and seeks the power to correct the wrong.
Esme can be inclined to fight either good or evil, if they come across them or if they get in the way of her own goals. They can be dragged along for quests, or have their services in combat/education bought like a hit-man could be hired to do a kill. Namely, they lack any motivation outside of self-interest. She prizes survival highly, and views wealth or luxury as merely an ends to that mean.
A loner, she may have a handful of close people eventually, but everyone is now viewed with a obvious air of cynical-ism.
At her worst, she'll be completely amoral and indifferent to others hurt, unlikely due to her past, as she'll tend to help others if it doesn't mean sacrificing herself.
Appearance:
Physically speaking, Esme is muscled, but not overly strong. Her body is built in such a manner that it's clear she isn't just a bookworm, but not a tower of muscle that'd imple she worked out daily.
Standing six feet in height, she's tall, taller then most, built feminine. If one were to look into her eyes, they'd see pools the color of taaffeite, a rather rare gem deeply purple.
Her hair is the most peculiar thing about her. Long, and white from the root. If not for her youthful face and body one might assume that she was elderly.
History:
Esme was originally known as Jacob. Growing up, unlike some people who may have known from an early age what they truly were, she didn't decide to change herself till puberty came around. Actions not widely accepted by her family, which disowned her. Not much of a problem due to the already abusive nature of her parents.
The foster family she found herself in, however, was much, much nicer. And she spent the years that she had till the fall of her homeland with them. Happy, lively, and surrounded by friends.
Growing up, Esme was the type of person that'd be more inclined to be around books and her studies then people. Few people were allowed in her inner circle, and she was always cautious when it came to her interactions with others. Having been hurt physically plenty in the past, she saw no need to try and hurt people with her words. Yet, many people didn't accept her, because of her odd qualities and preference to be by herself aside from her small group of friends. Something that she would have merely marked down as another event in her life, if not for her friends gradually bending to the pressure from peers and leaving her, too.
Luckily, she graduated, and didn't need to hear from anyone of her classmates again. Her desire in life to become a writer going well with her desire to be isolated afterward, with her family being the only people that she needed. She earned a pretty penny, and was able to buy herself surgery and hormones. Certain aspects of her never truly going to be what she wanted them to be, but she was as perfect as she could get with the level of technology they had.
A few months before the fall occurred, in an effort to better her health and learn how to defend herself against other people, she began to work out and learn how to defend herself, taking up a class in mixed martial arts. The result of this being a small degree of combat experience with hand-to-hand and armed combat, but she's not well-trained. Basically, all it means is that instead of whirling around a stick wily-nily if she picks it up, she can do a few small precise strikes, probably.
____
After the fall of her world, Esme found herself in twilight town. A strange place that her eyes immediately understood to not be of her own world, and strangely she found herself incapable of caring, either. She had some of her memories, yes. The ones that spoke of her being alone, constantly. Staying away from people. And like your average nobody, having awoken after losing their hearts, she took up this shard of her memory and fled into the forests around the town. Living in the woods, fending for herself as memories occasionally trickled in like rain.
Eventually, while whatever else was happening in the world happened, she came back to the town on a rather cold, winter day. The temperature had been up till that point somewhere bearable, due to the clothing she woke up with on her back, but with snow beginning to fall she stumbled back into civilization out of necessity, not desire. Collapsing just as she was on her way into town, she'd wake up in a run-down building behind the main market area, where an unknown orphan seemed to be sharing what she had with the Nobody. The older woman's first instinct due to how she had been up till then being to run. To disappear into the night, and take what she needed on the way out.
But, the look on the girls face brought forth memories of her adopted family, and split her down the middle. Ending up taking care of the girl, she'd spend her time with them. People would take of the orphan who found the strange white woman, and would do business with the girl still when she sold her pine-cones and whatever else for mere pocket change. Esme eventually coming to the point she spoke again, and took up odd-jobs in town to earn more money, which was spent on food and blankets. A sensation of..enjoyment sparking in the pit of her stomach the longer the two stayed together.
Sadly, that winter was particularly harsh, and the girl came down with a fever. With no real job or insurance, Esme was forced to try and find her another family, or someone to take care of her. The last moments with the little one being of her thanking the near emotionless figure for being with her for the months that they were. An emotional tale that even brought someone that felt nothing back into the spectrum of emotions that every else had.
Naturally, people made assumptions after time made them forget the girl had fallen ill. It was only because the nobody had asked around the morgue that the authorities didn't come and arrest her under suspicion of murder. They were aware the girl died of illness. It didn't stop people from staring at her, and mumbling under their breath that she was a bringer of bad luck. Trapping the Nobody between acting on her memories of being in a happy family with someone, and between hiding away from the stares. Sticking closer to town, but never far from the forest, either.
Current Primary Objective:
Her current primary objective is to find her family. A hard goal, when she'll have no idea what happened to them after the fall.
Learning type:
Esme, being a bit of a bookworm, has a tendency to read to learn. Outside of that, however, the best way for her to learn is via hands on activities. Visual learning can be useful in certain aspects, like baking or sword fighting, but when it comes to anything with thought she likes to learn it with her own two hands and commit to memory both the act and how it felt to perform it.
Personality:
Esme's personality is hard to pin-down, entirely. To say she's a constantly happy person would have, perhaps, been true before the fall. Now, however, her face is almost always plain. Featureless, safe for what one would call 'human'. Eyes that don't shine with the light of laughter, a smile as meaningless as a blank canvas.
Under the surface, however, she's a void of emotion. Unable to feel like she once did, but with powerful thoughts that direct her body. A strong mind at work to get the body she finds herself with under her full control, despite it looking similar to her old one. Eventually, with the passage of time, she hopes that her emotions will return and that she'll be able to view things with color again instead of black and white. Figuratively speaking.
Home World:
The world that Esme comes from is small. It's not known for producing anything excellent, or being a magical powerhouse, or even had anyone that particularly interesting in it. The darkness swept over it easily, as one might sweep dirt under the rug. But as always, a few people were different from others, and they survived the initial darkness. Or, at least, Esme did in the form of her nobody.
Natural Affinities/Abilities/Skills: (Working to make this more definable right now.)
Creo(Create)
Esme's power, with her deep love of books and writing, fittingly manifests herself with an ability that draws from her understanding of words and mixes it with the concept of creativity. Like an author pens to life a tale, she pins to life various effects.
Limitations/Drawbacks:
This power is limited on her level of magic. If she can barely produce a spark, her ability could barely do anything more. If she is capable of summoning several bolts of high powered lightning, her range of versatility is equally as strong.
At the time of writing, she must have the clear concept of what she wants to write and the meaning behind her word in her mind. If she writes 'Light' with the concept of visual light, when she means to lighten the weight of the object, it will instead become bright.
A writing utensil isn't exactly needed for her to write. Typically, it's better if she has something that can channel magic, as just writing words in 'normal ink' will produce no special effects.
Since her history has her having isolated herself, her capability of this power is limited to filling flower pots with water daily, to maintain her garden. Things like fixing, or mending small appliances. As she's no ability with magic yet, she cannot cause harm with the ability yet. Certain elemental mixes would be required to produce certain effects. Like, causing something to break would require Earth, similar to a small scale Earthquake on an item. She is, in all terms, a beginner due to her own inactivity.
The ability scales with her magic. Meaning, when she learns fire, she could warm things with it, or burn small things (I.E writing 'fire' on a stick will make the stick light)
Passive:
Weapon:
None. The only item in her possession are the clothes on her back, and her writing case full of writing materials. Pens, pencils, and colored pencils.
Role Playing Sample:
The sound of a soft drumming filled the small office area. Esme, who had never really had trouble writing or drawing before, suddenly found herself with a lack of inspiration. A gap between putting the words of what she wanted to say apart from the picture that she wanted to draw. A strong, alien desire to simply right down random words on paper driving her to no end of frustration till she finally couldn't take any more and slammed the pen down with a deviant slap of paper to writing utensil. It seemed that tonight, the muse of writing wouldn't come to her as easily as it did usually. The chair that she sat in turning so she could lounge back and look at the shelf behind her.
A gift from her parents, it had been. A large, thick wooden shelf meant to hold not only the books of her favorite authors, but those that she penned herself as well. Stories of fantasy, knights and damsels, love and war. Things that people would buy, and for the most part she had even been successful. Four stories under her belt, with many more to come she was sure. The only problem was the rut she currently found herself into was making her restless. Sure, she had enough money to last for at least a year or two, coming in from her other books. Investments had been made at the banks a year or two ago, and bonds set in by her grandparents, meaning that she likely had more money then she was even aware of.
But it wasn't about the money. It was about creating something for herself and others to enjoy. To craft a world where what she didn't want to happen simply didn't. Another sigh came from between her lips, as she drifted upward and shuffled toward her kitchen with the intention of getting herself some tea. Maybe a hot drink would help her to relax again.
Hello Esme, since our Moogle reviewers are still in training, I will personally be tending to your profile myself. Overall, I like the concept you have, and this is a good starting point. However, in calling it a starting point, I do feel that there is more to add before acceptance.
We'll use her history as a starting point. While I don't see any flaws with the history itself, one thing does stand out: she has no history after the fall of the worlds, or her years as a Nobody. While her early years define her personality, her Nobody years define her struggle, and I feel that a history of that will be needed up to the point in canon after the Organization and Dark XII's defeat. I estimate a year after the events of Kingdom Hearts II, based on prior apps.
A small tidbit on the gunblade in her history. Did you plan on her using one in the future, since she's trained with it? If not, this seems like filler information not relevant to the character.
Onto her powers. The concept is appropriate to her character, and fits well. What it does is clear, but how it works is... Iffy, and very open-ended. She can write things into existence, from my understanding, and its intensity is based on her power, but we don't know what level of power she is at. Expand on her power a bit more and make it a more defined.
Once we finish with this, I'll take a look at edits and work from there. You're really close to acceptance, we just have some small things to patch up.

Addressing the gun-blade training below, and addition to the history. Removed gun-blade, as I merely want her to have some minor knowledge in hand-to-hand self-defense.
Below that, the addition of history for her nobody side.

Books contain so many thoughts and ideals, Who are we to say some cannot be real?
