In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Appearance: Legolas is a tall elf with flowing blonde hair almost white, and gray eyes that were nearly silver. He wears a green cloak made out of elfish fabric, with brown leggings, brown elfish leather boots, and green armor fashioned from elfish fabric as well. He has a quiver strapped to his right side and wears his bow on his back when he travels.
History: Legolas of Mirkwood was an Elf prince who was a member of the Fellowship of the Ring. He became fond of Hobbits and a friendship grew between he and the man Aragorn. Surprisingly, Legolas became quite friendly with Gimli, who was a Dwarf. Legolas was also called Legolas Greenleaf. Legolas was the son of Thranduil. Legolas was very old, just a bit younger than the Forest of Fangorn itself. He may have been born in the First Age, or maybe even in the Years of the Trees. His grandfather Oropher founded Mirkwood for the Elves who followed him. When Thorin and Company traveled through Mirkwood in 2941 of the Third Age, Thranduil held them captive until Bilbo Baggins rescued them, and they sailed in barrels down the River. In the Battle of Five Armies, Thranduil led an army of Wood-elves to assist the Dwarves and men of Dale. Legolas may have assisted his father during these events. In 3017, Gollum escaped from Mirkwood after being captured by Aragorn. Legolas was ordered to go to Rivendell to warn Elrond of this. On October 25 of 3018, the Council of Elrond met and it was decided that the One Ring which was held by Frodo Baggins would be destroyed in Mordor. Legolas joined the Fellowship on December 18 and they left Rivendell on December 25. The Fellowship headed south. They passed through the Misty Mountains. When they reached the Redhorn Gate, the Fellowship realized that they could not pass due to severe snow conditions. Most of the Fellowship were buried under the snow, and Legolas told them how far they needed to dig before they reached the surface. Gandalf said that the Fellowship should take the pass through the mines of Moria. As they headed towards the Doors of Durin at the West-gate, the Fellowship was attacked by Wargs and Legolas killed many, causing the rest to flee. At the gates on January 13, Legolas and Gimli both recognized the location as the historic trade port of the Dwarves, which the Elves frequently visited. They then argued about which race was at fault for the friction between Elves and Dwarves. Gandalf stopped them, and soon they entered Moria. In the mines, Gollum picked up their trail. On January 15, the Fellowship reached the Chamber of Mazarbul, where they were attacked by Orcs. Legolas killed two and then helped hurry Gimli away from the tomb of his cousin Balin. At the Bridge of Khazad-dum, a Balrog confronted Gandalf and Gandalf and the Balrog fell into the deep hole of shadow to beneath the mines and they would eventually fight in the Battle of the Peak. Legolas and the other seven remaining members of the Fellowship escaped Moria through the Dimrill Gate. They traveled to the woods of Lothlorien. In the outskirts of Lothlorien, Frodo and Sam Gamgee realized that they had been wounded and Legolas tended to their needs. That night, the Fellowship camped by the River Nimrodel. Legolas sang of Nimrodel, the beautiful Elven woman after whom the river was named. He then climbed a mallorn tree, seeking shelter for his companions. Part way up, Haldir told him to bring Frodo to his flet. High in the tree, Legolas explained to Haldir who his companions were and what their task was. Haldir warned Legolas to watch carefully after the Dwarf. On January 17, the Fellowship were brought to Galadriel and Celeborn in Caras Galadhon. There they remained until February 16. In the days that led up to the Fellowship's departure, Legolas and Gimli spent much of their time in the wild woods, hiking and becoming friends. At the Fellowship's departure, Galadriel honored each member with a mighty gift. To Legolas, she gave a bow of the Galadhrim and a quiver of arrows. On February 23, Uruk-Hai attacked the Fellowship. A Nazgul flew overhead on a Fell Beast, which Legolas slew with his bow. They sailed upstream on the Anduin to Amon Hen, where the Fellowship was broken on February 26. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli chased after Merry and Pippin, who were captured by Uruk-Hai, while Frodo and Sam went to destroy the Ring in Mordor alone. Boromir was killed by an Uruk Captain. Legolas, Aragorn, and Gimli spent four days running forty-five leagues across Rohan. Legolas could see the Uruks from afar, and he told his companions which direction they headed. On February 30, the three met Eomer near the Wold. He insulted Galadriel and Gimli took offense, causing Legolas to nearly kill Eomer. Aragorn came between the two and stopped their skirmish. Eomer soon understood that their business was not evil, and he gave Legolas and Gimli the horse Arod under the condition that they returned him to Meduseld. The three companions reached Fangorn Forest on March 1. In the eaves, they were reunited with Gandalf, who had survived a battle with the Balrog. He was sent back to Middle-Earth until his task was done. Legolas apologized to Gandalf, for he had mistook him for Saruman. Gandalf told the three companions that Merry an Pippin met Treebeard the Ent and were safe. Gandalf summoned Shadowfax and the four companions rode to Edoras. On March 2, the four reached Edoras. Gandalf encouraged King Theoden to declare war upon Saruman. Legolas rode to war with the Rohirrim. At Helm's Deep on March 3, an army of ten thousand strong from Isengard attacked. Legolas killed forty-one of the Uruks while Gimli killed forty-two in the Battle of Helm's Deep. On March 4, an army of the West Fold led by Erkenbr and Gandalf rode against the armies of the enemy and the battle was soon won. Legolas noticed that the few orcs who remained fled into the forest nearby that had not been there the day before. He soon realized that Huorns of Fangorn had travelled to Rohan to help defeat the orcs. Legolas rode with Aragorn, Gandalf, and Gimli to Isengard where they found Merry and Pippin on March 5. At Orthanc, they confronted Saruman. When Grima Wormtongue threw down the palantir of Orthanc, Pippin caught it. That night, Aragorn looked into it and revealed himself to Sauron. He saw the Corsairs travelling up river to attack Gondor and realized he needed to summon and Army of Dead to conquer them. Legolas and Gimli accompanied Aragorn to the Paths of the Dead. They reached the Stone of Erech and successfully summoned the army on March 8, and on March 13 they marched with the Grey Company to Pelargir to attack the Corsairs of Umbar. There, Legolas heard the cawing of seagulls, giving him a desire to see the Great Sea and beyond. He then remembered the war and sailed with Aragorn upstream to Gondor. On March 15, they fought and won the Battle of Pelennor Fields. In Minas Tirith, Legolas and Gimli sought Merry and Pippin. Legolas thought the ruined city needed to be more beautiful, so he decided that he would bring gardens after the war. He met Imrahil of Dol Amroth, who reminded Legolas of his own people. On March 18, Legolas left Minas Tirith with Aragorn and Gimli along with an army of the West. They were headed to the Black Gate to challenge Sauron. This also was to give Frodo more time to destroy the One Ring in Mount Doom. At the Black Gate on March 25, the Host of the West was confronted by the Mouth of Sauron. The armies of Mordor including Orcs and Easterlings came forth, but failed in defending Sauron because the Ring was destroyed. After the West's victory, Legolas returned to Minas Tirith where he was reunited with the rest of the Fellowship on April 8 on the Field of Cormallen. Legolas moved to Ithilien and frequently visited Aragorn, who was crowned High king on May 1. On July 22, the Fellowship left Minas Tirith for Rohan. At Helm's Deep on August 19, Gimli took Legolas into the beautiful Glittering Caves, and Legolas was astonished by their beauty. On August 22, Legolas and Gimli left the others to visit Fangorn. Legolas lived in the gardens of Ithilien until 120 in the Fourth Age, when he and his friend Gimli went to the Undying Lands over the Sea at the death of Aragorn.
Current Primary Objective: I feel like the current goal needs to fit the forum. To save middle earth
Learning type: Legolas learns by doing.
Personality: Legolas is kind for the most part, can definitely get aggressive and he is very very loyal to his friends and those he cares about.
Home World: Middle Earth
Natural Affinities/Abilities/Skills: Being an elf, Legolas has remarkable speed and agility, very keen eyesight (and can see in the dark), acute hearing, and is a master bowsman.
Limitations/Drawbacks: As elfs are something akin to humans, only better, anything that would kill a normal human would just as easily kill Legolas. He has specific immunities to certain poisons that he’s built up over the years and he would not make it an easy task but he has the same human setbacks as you and me.
Passive: Light
Weapon: The Bow of Galidhrim, and one long knife.
Role Playing Sample: Legolas ambled with mere caution through the Mirkwood forest, his eyes trained upon the path he had dared to follow. Then, just as he stepped under the shade, he heard something rustle in the distance. “Who goes there?” He called out, his bow outstretched. He moved toward the sound and encountered some humans. He watched from the distance he was at as two beings quarrelled over matters that concerned them not. “Amin n'rangwa edanea. (I don’t understand these humans..)” he enthused. Legolas walked away from the humans realizing they meant no harm. Legolas continued to walk through the forest when he heard another sound. He turned around and he saw a wild boar charging right at the humans. Without a single thought he began to rush to their rescue, reaching for his bow again. He fired two arrows in it’s direction which hit its posterior, causing it to come to a sliding halt just in front of them. The boar turned toward him and began charging him and Legolas did the same for the boar. Using his elfish agility he grabbed one of it’s oversized tusks and flung himself onto it’s back straddling it holding it by the tusks to keep from being bucked off. He reached to his side and grabbed an arrow from his quiver and stuck it down deep into the boar’s eye, making sure to drive it into the brain and twist. The baor started veering left and right wildly before it fell over mid run and Legolas had to jump off to avoid being thrown into a tree. As he jumped off the boar’s back he gracefully landed next to it before he turned around and to retrieve his arrows from the massive beast. The humans just stared at him in awe, completely baffled. “I suppose you’re eating well tonight then.” He stated flatly. With that he cleaned his arrows off, placed them gently back in their quiver, and took his leave.
Hello there, I’ll be taking care of your profile this time around. Now, before we being I’d like to point out that I’ve got a very dry way of speaking when it comes to writing analyses. I would very much like for you to succeed and start playing, but at the same time I have to point out something if I see it. Apologies in advance if this review comes off as a little strong; it’s the best and only way I know how to do things.
To start out with, I have a few concerns regarding your writing. Of course, grammatical skill is not a bar to entry on the site, but I’m still compelled to make a few friendly suggestions.
You start out your description of Legolas by describing him as having “flowing blonde hair almost white, and grey eyes that were nearly silver.” In this sentence, you’ve started in the present tense and shifted to the past tense. You want to make sure you keep things constant when talking about the same subject. Also, the placing of the phrase “almost white” is a little awkward. It could be placed just after the word “blonde” and be separated from the main sentence with a stylistic comma splice, or it you could just place a “that is” between “hair” and “almost.”
Your sentence that reads “At the Bridge of Khazad-dum, a Balrog confronted Gandalf and Gandalf and the Balrog fell into the deep hole of shadow to beneath the mines and they would eventually fight in the Battle of the Peak” is a victim of the typical run-on sentence style. Try to limit conjunctions (like and, but, etc) to once per sentence. Though, in the case of “and,” it can also be used in lists of things. Watch out for things like this, and try to break that quote up into two sentences. You have some more of these spread throughout your profile, so be on the lookout.
Your history overall lacks a certain sense of narrative. It’s more like I’m reading a bulleted list of facts out of an academic text rather than a story. Try to inject some cause and effect into it. Sure, the characters did x, y, and z, but why did they? What drove them to do it?
Speaking of the characters, I know that Lord of the Rings is an established story with many different references for the lore behind it, but at the same time it’s not so commonplace that the assumption can be made that everyone knows who and what you’re talking about. In your history, you’ve listed character names and locations as if the reader should already be familiar with them. Some elaboration on who is who and the significance and geography of locations mentioned would do this history wonders to inform readers like me who aren’t actually fans of the series.
Your personality section is very cut and dry. You list traits that Legolas has, but you don’t say why he has them or how they formed. Give me some meat, show me the events that made Legolas who he is. Tell me how and Elfish upbringing affected his character and that you know the character as a person more than just a set of facts.
I think the passive name you’re looking for is “Heartborn Radiance.” The code for the image and the description should be available here. However, if you’re making up your own, a description of what you mean by “light” would serve you well. One last knit-pick: It would do wonders for the readability of your bio if you would add an extra line of space between each paragraph. Proboards isn’t double-spaced, so seeing a wall of text can be daunting and/or bothersome to people.
Aside from all that, there’s some concern that’s been raised about the adaptability of Legolas and Middle Earth in general into the KH realm. I know we’re now omni-fandom, but it’s important that players know that this means a world has to be easily added into the overarching themes of Kingdom Hearts. Middle Earth has an incredibly broad lore that covers over a dozen books to be fully knowledgeable of, and how well that will mesh into the themes presented by Kingdom Hearts as a series is an obvious concern.
You can alleviate some of our concerns by emphasizing some of the themes presented by Lord of the Rings and connecting them to those presented in Kingdom Hearts. Try to bring some focus onto the ideas of drawing power from friendship, of people being connected in spirit no matter how far away they are physically, and of the value of a powerful and righteous heart coupled with some of the traditional Dark vs. Light themes. I know these are all present somewhere, it’s just a matter of pointing them out.
So, with all that said, your two weeks starts now. If you don’t respond in that amount of time, your profile will be considered abandoned and we’ll have to move it to the Rejected board. Don’t be intimidated by that, though. So long as you give us a response – even an “I’m working on this!” – you’ll be fine. For now, just focus on developing this profile into the best profile you can make it.
