What was the inspiration for them / do they embody a particular feeling or emotion?
Rozalin is one of my favorite characters from the series. She has a fun personality that allows for interesting interactions. The very game she comes from is a bit too crazy to explain so I will let her history tell it all. I also like playing multiple personality characters.

In the Netherworld age is a very inconsistent thing. Every demon ages at different rates and their age is simply whatever they feel like spouting. A rule of thumb for most is to simply add two zeros to the end of every age. That gives the best indicator. Unless the full age is already disclosed.

The race of beings that inhabit the Netherworld of the Disgaea universe. They come in all kinds of forms and sub races. A few examples would be imps, pumpkin heads, nekomata's, succubi, dragons, and much more. They divide themselves by who is the strongest. Those who rule each Netherworld are called Overlords, while powerful demons that do not have their are own kingdom are known as Demon Lords. Visitors to the Netherwolds are often shocked to learn that while demons are often rowdy and mean spirited. They are not all evil. Some very nice demons exist and our known. These are often called and for their lack of evil traits. In most Netherworlds, a evil deeds are praised and good deeds are shunned. Demons can have vastly different levels of power and even the strongest Overlords have their own tiers they constantly climb and the top dog changes in different regions very often. Also, it is important to note that beings in the Netherworld can reincarnate their souls into new bodies. This is usual done to a recreated version of their original body so that they may grow stronger from there past life. It's a very odd trait but is fairly important fact for Rozalin's tale.

Rozalin is a fairly curvaceous young demon. Although her dress is even more attention getting. A large red ribbom adorns a black dress that looks more fit for ballroom dancing than traveling around. A red cloth is tied elegantly into a medallion around he neck. Her eyes look like most most demons. With the traditional red eyes and slits for pupils. Her pupils however are have the unique trait of being having whit pupil only found in the Snow Clan Village of ninja's on Veldime. While it was believed it was due to Rozalins mother. The true story of who Rozalin is causes doubt as to who her parents actually were.
History:
Rozalin's tale takes place entirely on a human world called Veldime. This world was cursed by a demon that was thought to be the the strongest Overlord, Zenon. This cusre transformed Veldime into a Netherworld which twisted all it's inhabitants into demons. Slowly eating away at their memories and fueling this 'Zenon' with great strength. This will chronicle the majority of her journey with Adell the Demon Hunter and his group, as they travel to defeat 'Zenon'.
Rozalin was originally thought to be the daughter of 'The God of All Overlords', Zenon, although she has lived most of her life sequestered in a massive mansion surrounded by servants, and given everything she could have ever wanted. One such servant is Tink, who later gets turned into a frog like creature by a Snow Clan ninja. Adell's mother ends up summoning her to Adells home of Holt Village when they were attempting to call forth Zenon to challenge..
This act of summoning binds a demon to a unwritten contract that only ends when the contract maker dies or the task upon the contract is completed or dismissed. While not forced to follow the contract a demon cannot get too far away from the creator.
Being stuck with Adell whom she considered a filthy human trying to kill her father, she tries to frequently kill him. Her attempts however always end in failure due to Adell overcoming the trap, or the trap turning on Rozalin, forcing Adell to save her. Due to being locked up inside her mansion, Rozalin not only doesn't know how to fight properly, but she also doesn't know where her mansion is actually located. She is also inexperienced in the ways of the outside world. She also often announces to people that she is "Overlord Zenon's One and Only Daughter" while flashing the Four Leaf Clover mark she has, claiming it to be a symbol of the bond she has with her father. After the battle with Demon Lord Etna who had arrived from another Netherworld. It is revealed that Rozalin doesn't even know where Overlord Zenon is, nor what he even looks like. Over the course of their journey. Rozalin grows more as a person and learns to like Adells siblings, Taro, Hanako, and even Adell himself.
When the group goes to Shinra Tower to get herbs to help Fubuki, a Snow Clan ninja who also was seeking to slay Zenon. They come across Overlord Laharl from was seeking Etna, his vassal. Seeing Etna had joined them and refused to return home to cook him dinner. He decided to kill them and take her back by force. Laharl had become far more powerful than the ragtag group and not only utterly annihilates them in a fight, but also smashes Rozalin's Four Leaf Clover mark which is soon revealed to be a seal holding back the soul of the true Zenon. Laharl, surprised by Rozalin's increase in power, is defeated quickly so he decides it best to retreat. Rozalin is unable to control Zenon's soul until Adell snaps her out of it (by slapping her).
During the final battle with the False Zenon, the real Zenon tells Rozalin to shatter the seal again if she wishes to help her friends. She does so and the real Zenon destroys the impostor with a single blast. In the end, Rozalin soon aims her wrath at her friends, only for Adell to snap her out of it with a kiss. Afterwards a era of peace begins with a awkward relationship between the two now a part of their lives.
Some time later Rozalin's past as the God of All Overlords would be brought back to haunt her yet again. A strange group of shadowy creatures began to look for her. Tearing through Veldime like a storm. It wasn't long before Adell went off to face them. Leaving Rozalin alone to defend his parents and brother. This however would not stop the large dimensional gate that appeared in the house. It seemed someone was attempting the spell that summoned Rozalin to Adell's side at the start of her journey. As she was helplessly swept up by the mysterious summoner, she could only wonder at what was next...

Personality:
Rozalin on the surface is mostly what you'd expect from a sheltered noble lady that lived most of her life being pampered by her 'father'. On top of that she is a literal demon so... She has a tendency to enjoy scheming and manipulating people she sees as lesser. Pompous, self centered, and stubborn. Rozalin dislikes when things aren't going her way or when she feels to be over worked.
However Rozalin isn't all bad. Due to her reclusive life she has a bit of a different style and code of living than other beings in the Netherworld. Rozalin understands when a good deed should be done and while reluctant, will offer a hand to those she sees truly need help. Just expect her to demand a hefty reward or great praise for every little thing. Rozalin usually considers anyone she befriends to be her servants, and even though she takes surprisingly gentle care of them (compared to most demons), they are still always her servants.
Only one person is truly close to her heart... Adell the Demon Hunter. The two are a near unbreakable pair and hold a strange sort of love for each other. Basically they look like love birds but never would admit it. The relationship is actually more important than just one of love though. Adell is the one man who can keep her inner darkness in check...
Rozalin possesses a deeply hidden other self, or perhaps it is her true self. That had been lost after a reincarnation. This other self is extremely loathing and filled with nihilism. To this inner being everything is a enemy including those Rozalin cares for. It is extremely difficult to control or to even reason with this personality. Thus it is best to never get too careless and break her seal.

Natural Affinities/Abilities/Skills:
Heavy Type:Rozalin is fairly strong in most areas but has utterly terrible movement. She takes a beating and has a variety of ways to deal damage but expect her to trail in any short of situation that requires getting somewhere fast. Even her Semi-Flight is much slower that a normal flyer.
Sharpshooting Princess:Rozalin is a very fast drawer and has deadly accuracy with her gun.
Netherworld Magic: Rozalin possesses magical abilities and can cast various elemental attack spells (fire/ice/wind/star) up to Omega level.
Semi-Flight:Rozalin's bat wings allow her to fly a good distance into the air but only for a short while (1 post). After flying she requires a short break before taking off again (1 post)
Queen Glitter:Those Rozalin considers her servants receive a small boost to their damage abilities when they are near her. Any attempts to leave her side however will drop the bonus until they return.
Overlord Zenon: "I am being of solitude."Rozalin's inner self is always lurking within her soul waiting for her to break down and let it free. This breaking of her seal has two stages:
The first is a very small weakening of the seal. It allows her a slight stat boost for 2 posts and the use of the move Rose Liberation in battle.
The seal is quickly restored and Rozalin is bewildered and left open to attack for 1 post.
The second is terribly dangerous as it temporarily frees Zenon completely. Allowing a massive stat boost for two posts and allows use of the attack Dark Liberation in battle.
Unleashing Zenon has terrible impact on Rozalin's psyche. Zenon will target any one in the area without distinction or remorse. Once Zenon's seal auto restores by post 3, Rozalin will be a complete wreck. Unable to battle for 3 posts or more depending on if she had targeted her allies.
It should be noted that Adell is able to revert Rozalin back to normal in a single post if he is present. Which cancels all the benefits and penalties of the transformation.
- Rozalin has very slow evasion/movement and doesn't dodge much of anything but the most cumbersome of attacks.
- Rozalin's primary weapons are her gun and her magic. So she is less than effective once enemies are in close.
- While Rozalin did grow during her journey with Adell she is still a rather stubborn snob that doesn't trust people easily or follow rules that might be in place in the area. She's a noble after all, even IF her father was a total fraud!
- Again, due to her haughty nature. She does not like to perform certain demeaning tasks unless it is absolutely necessary.
- Rozalin can be difficult to deal with for both heroes and villains as she shares traits that both would approve/disapprove of.
- The fact Rozalin could have her seal broken at a really bad time and cause a lot of problems is always a big negative unless you did it on purpose....
