In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

What was the inspiration for them / do they embody a particular feeling or emotion?
They embody the basic human desire to help others. Many children go through the grand illusion of being a hero when they grow up, they’re just one of the few who actually can.
Name: Tenjuku Yuuki
Nickname: Quester
Age: 22
Gender: Nonbinary (calling Yuuki he doesn't really bother them)
Yuuki is a pink haired youth who normally dresses in baggy jeans and sweatshirts, with sneakers. They have pink hair and dark, brown eyes. The Muteki Virus takes a lot out of them, and as such, they appear exhausted most of the time. In the form of Quester, however, they are clad in blue game-inspired armor, clearly inspired by that of RPGs. (Forms of Quester can be viewed below, in Powers.)
History: Yuuki was always a kid with a knack for video games. They grew up playing them, using them to learn and interact with others, especially their younger sister Mai. Yuuki's parents were very supportive of their habits, especially since they kept good grades up. It took to the midst of high school for them to realize they wanted to design them, as well. So, they began learning freelance video game writing, with supplemental community college classes. By their senior year, the first masterpiece, Mighty Brothers X, was complete, and they showcased it at the SFIT Tech Fair. The technicality was so impressive that they were offered a spot in the Computer Programming department, allowing them to work further. Their first year brought the production of three more games: Taddle Quest, Bang Bang Shooting, and Dangerous Zombie. However, the conflict with Yokai left school closed for some time, and the world in need of heroes. Yuuki wanted to help, but didn't see a way that they could.
That is, until they met Asuna. She was an expert programmer from a game company, and met Yuuki at a tech demo. When she mentioned they were making use of nanobots, Yuuki was hit with inspiration. They pitched idea that through the use of nanobots, one could project the powers of the game characters into the real world, allowing people to control it. With the crime rates increasing in San Fransokyo, Asuna pitched it to her boss, Satori, and he approved the project, giving one of his best scientists, Aku, and the two permission to the use of nanobots the company, Muteki Gaming, has acquired. Within a year, a prototype was made, and they had Aku test it out in the field, assuming the guise of Mighty from Mighty Action X. After it was deemed a success, they began work on the Gamer Driver project, discovering that by using the nanobots internally, they could reach compatibility at the DNA level, meaning that they were literally coded to use the games. In short, it provided a sort of upgraded version of an augmented reality game, bringing data from the game world to the real world. They had discovered how to materialize data, and started a prototype. It was done around two years later.
However, they didn't realize they were being used.
By then, the three had become good friends, and helped fight crime in San Fransokyo under guise of their characters, Mighty, Quester, and Anti-Mighty. Mai was adamantly left out of it, though she did help by creating the AI that would be installed into Gekitotsu Robots, DoReMiFa Beat, Jet Combat, and Shakariki Sports. More of Yuuki's games were created into Change Cartridges. However, when it came time to present their findings, they instead found Satori before them, holding his own Change Cartridge, and a strange Driver. He told them that their research had been watched, and that he was using the data from Yuuki's newest games to be made into forms: Bang Bang Simulations and Jet Combat. With a hearty thank, suddenly he fired the strange Driver at them, and they all fell forward, the virus he had put upon them corrupting the nanobots in their bodies.
While they scrambled for a cure, Satori, now going by Virus, began his reign of terror on San Fransokyo, and came across something interesting. A dark force, that he tapped into. This allowed the Heartless passage into the world, beginning the fall of the world.
The trio managed, within a few days, to code an antibody sufficient to allow them to function again, as well as trying to create more powerful forms for them to use, but they were too late. They tried fighting off Heartless. While Yuuki and Asuna assumed the form of Mighty Brothers XX, Aku instead tried using an untested Change Cartridge, Maximum Mighty X. But there were apparently still flaws, and they watching in horror, darkness washing over them as the virus destroyed their friend from the outside. Then, everything was black.
As for the rest, well, you know how that song and dance goes.
Current Primary Objective: Return home, cure their virus and Asuna's, and find Mai
Learning type: Kinesthetic
Personality: Yuuki has always been a person of competition. Though friendly, Yuuki has a competitive streak a mile long, stemming fromt heir love for video games. But, as is proper, one must show compassion and grace in competition, so because of this, Yuuki is very disciplined and proper, treating others with respect and kindness from the get-go. They're a bit of a loner at times, wanting to stay to their own devices, but can handle social scenarios when it's deemed necessary. Stress is a factor they can't handle well, unless in the guise of Quester, since it puts too much burden and expectation on them. That much pressure is a detriment to their work.
In the new worlds beyond Yuuki's own, they know their task: defend the light, and combat the darkness. The end goal is unclear, but the hope is that someone wil come across San Fransokyo someday, and pull it from the depths of darkness. Their most base desire is to go home, but keeping people safe is a close second. After all, that's what a hero does, right?
Home World: San Fransokyo
Natural Affinities/Abilities/Skills:
Gamer Driver Retro: Designed by Yuuki and Mighty Incorperated, the power of video games was put into the hands of the youth, allowing them to work in San Fransokyo as a hero to fight Glitch. Specialized cartridges have been coded, allowing for access to armored forms based on the characters of the games. There are 4 known Gamer Driver Retros in the world, but Glitch was found with a mysterious fifth one. Yuuki used the power of Gamer Driver Quest, based off the genre of RPGs. With this come three Change Cartridges, the games that contain the special code: Taddle Quest, Drago Knight Hunter, and DoReMiFa Beat. Each of these cartridges is capable of initiating two finishers, and only one of these can be used a thread. Critical Strikes are accessed via the Critical Slot, on the side of the Driver belt.
The Gamer Driver Retro uses the data on Change Cartridges to activate nanobots embedded in the system. These are coded to an enzyme injected into the host's body, ensuring that only one person could use them. The nanobots form into polymer and armor, forming the guise of Quester, and allowing the use of its gamer forms.
The following restrictions apply, based on the volatility of the virus infecting Yuuki. Level 2 cartridges can be utilized indefinitely, but further use of others for upgraded forms or finishers begin a countdown from 10. Level 3 consumes 2 points per round of use, Level 5 consumes 3 per round of use, and Level 50 is so far beyond this limit that it is deemed far too hazardous to Yuuki's health to use. If this limit is exceeded, then the Muteki Virus breaks out, and if used for three more rounds (regardless of level), will lead to eradication of one's self. This leaves 2 rounds leeway, but the consequences will be excruciating pain and a large recovery period. This limit can be improved on, and eventually eradicated for specific tiers, but only in the future.
Taddle Quest: Gives access to Quester Level 2, with the Taddle Armament. Yuuki's most used form, the game code resembles that of a knight in blue armor, arming Yuuki with the Quester Blade. Insertion into the Critical Slot allows Yuuki to use the Taddle Critical Strike, and inserting the Change Cartridge into the Quester Blade allows for a Taddle Critical Finish.
Drago Knight Hunter Z: Acts as an armament for Quester, bumping the form up to level 5. Quester is armed with the armor of a dragon, granting access to the Dragon Blade and Blaster. Overuse of this form leads to a short-circuit in the nanotech of the suit, and disengages the form. Insertion into the Critical Slot allows for a Drago Knight Critical Strike.
DoReMiFa Beat: Another armament for Quester, this allows access to level 3, and the Beat Armor. A speaker rests on their left shoulder, and on their right arm sits the Beat Turntable. By scratching the records, Quester can infuse their cuts with the power of sound. Insertion into the Critical Slot activates a DoReMiFa Critical Strike, and into the Quester Blade a DoReMiFa Critical Finish.
CURRENTLY UNUSABLE. REQUIRES FURTHER PROGRESS ON MUTEKI VIRUS CURE
Dangerous Zombie: Allows the user to assume the form of the Zombie Master, and achieve level 10. However, it is far too dangerous to use, and requires a different Gamer Driver to use, still in development. In addition, the Change Cartridge still has to absorb the "power of death" that Glitch mentioned. Theorized that this Cartridge must be used in a Dangerous Critical Finish to acquire this data.
Taddle Fantasy: The upgraded form of Taddle Quest, and currently partially completed, to the point where it poses a threat if used. Allows the user to assume the form of Taddle Demon, and achieve level 50. Considered Yuuki's strongest form, this comes with the drawback that it is infested with bugs, and will infect the user if used for too long. With it, the user wears the Demon Armor, and can initiate a Taddle Critical Slash, by closing and re-opening the Gamer Driver Retro.
Mighty Action X: Asuna's base form Change Cartridge, this Gashat allows the user to assume the guise of Mighty Level 2. This game takes inspiration from popular platformer games, and arms the user with the Mighty Hammer. As with other Change Cartridges, it can be used for a Mighty Critical Strike or Mighty Critical Finish, but since it is not coded to Yuuki's DNA, they can't use it without posing serious risk to themself. This, however, does mean that they can alter their DNA, but it is a dangerous task.
Gekitotsu Robots (Rough translation: Knockout Robots): This Change Cartridge holds Asuna's Level 3 form, giving access to the Robot Armor. Based on a robot fighting game, this form delivers strong punches, at the cost of sacrificing some mobility. Can initiate both Critical Strike and Critical Finish.
Mighty Brothers XX: This unique Change Cartridge is a two-player based game, meaning that for it to properly work, one must have a partner. Each individual assumes the role of either Mighty Brothers L or Mighty Brothers R, each an upgraded version of Mighty. Surprisingly, despite the Mighty configuration, Yuuki can use this without consequence, though they haven't tried it alone. An individual can access the forms of L and R, but run the risk of separating strands of DNA if they do, so it is best avoided. Mighty Brothers XX comes loaded with its own weapon, the Game Pad Slasher, which has the unique ability to use two Change Cartridges instead of one to perform Critical Finishes. It can also be used with the Change Cartridge itself, to initiate a Mighty Brothers Critical Finish. Holds the antibody for the Muteki Virus, but is incomplete.
Maximum Mighty X: D A T A C O R R U P T E D. Information on the powers of this Change Cartridge are not available at the time. Use of this is not recommended, and runs the risk of immediate death. Use cautiously.
In addition, they also have a laptop with the codes for all the Change Cartridges and the Drivers, a handful of replacement blank Change Cartridges in case any break, and the appropriate gear to do so.
Limitations/Drawbacks:
Muteki Virus: When Virus stole the data of Bang Bang Simulations from Yuuki, Aku, and Asuna, he also used the power of his invention, the Virus Driver, to infect the trio with what seemed to be a computer virus of sorts. Due to the integration of the Change Cartridges into their DNA, they all suffered the effects, and were severely weakened as a result. An antibody was nearly finished when the world fell, and in haste, was saved on both the Mighty Brothers XX and Maximum Mighty X cartridges. However, in trying to use Maximum Mighty X, Aku was instead engulfed with the virus and was engulfed by it. Yuuki and Asuna, on the other hand, survived via use of Mighty Brothers XX. The virus becomes active when the user overdoes it with use of the Gamer Driver Retro, and as such, moderation is as important as skill or strength.
Inability to handle stress: In suit, Yuuki can handle stress fine, but when not in the guise of Quester, they break under pressure easily. Which isn;t good, considering that the Muteki Virus tends to kick up when stress occurs.
