In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

JAEH CRUOR
CHAOTIC GOOD
QUOTE
The idea of a normal girl put through a traumatic experience most wouldn’t survive through, and the effects that come after, was something that I found rather interesting when coming up with this character.

[PTab=⌛ HISTORY]
”Daddy, look! I got the machina to work all by myself!”
As with most stories, Jaeh grew up a fairly normal youth, to a pair of machina repair workers that lived in Home. She was raised to share their knack for the devices, focusing her studies on machina creation over all else. More often than not, she went to bed with her hands covered in grease. Her machina designs took a turn around her teenage years, and she started making devices to not only stop the Church of Bevelle, but also to hunt fiends outside of Home. It was on one of these excursions that she discovered there was more to her than met the eye.
After a machina malfunction, a fiend assaulted her, roughing her up pretty well, and she wouldn’t have made it out alive, if not for a sudden magical spark in her, and a blade of blood appearing from her hands, impaling the fiend. The Al Bhed she was with were horrified, but she looked just as confused as them. She was taken to the village elders, where the story was explained. Thankfully, she was not cast away from her people, though a close eye was kept on her. She hadn’t asked for this, and now she felt like a social outcast, even if only a handful of Al Bhed knew of her condition.
Other than that, life was normal until the assault on Home by the Guado.
”I have no home. I must see more. I’ll find mom and dad.”
It is unknown what happened to Jaeh during the attack, since she was found lying in her house, head bloodied. A family friend dragged her out, but when she came to, after everything was explained to her, there was no hurt in her. Instead, she only expressed joy, a desire to find something new, and they knew that something had happened to her. She became more reckless while traveling through the desert, charging fiends head-on. They restrained her to keep her safe, but this ended up being a mistake. The longer she was restrained, the more restless she became, and a sense of mania overtook her. With a sudden bite to her arm, her blood spilt, and her allies were attacked by her magic, which she used to break her bonds. With her brethren injured, she panicked and ran wherever she could.
”With so much to see and do, I’ll never be bored again! Oh, it just makes me so excited to think about it~”
She would not make it to civilization before the first fall of Spira happened, the Heartless overcoming the world in waves. She fell to the darkness, but was able to find that beacon of light in the prospect of finding new things, of finding her parents some day. She emerged in Traverse Town, where she lived a life of seclusion. When Gummi Ships and Moogle travel became common, she took off to different worlds, fighting the Heartless for that thrill of something new.
|I need out, I need out, I need out now! It’s too small, too cramped, I need more!”
Then the Nightfall happened, and once again, she found herself somewhere new. Twilight Town. But this time, she was incapable of escaping, and as such, has had to keep herself busy the entire time to not drive herself further into madness from the repetition of living. During the Dark Hide assault, she intended to fight, but resorted instead to evacuating those who couldn’t fight. Since then, she’s been keeping her eyes on the warriors who felled the beast, eager for a chance at something new.
Role Playing Sample:
”It’s all going to be fine, just keep aiming for the target and it will keep you occupied from this tiny little world of- No, focus!
Thunk!
With a grumble, she walked back over to retrieve her knife from the wall, pulling it from where it sunk into the wood an inch from her target. She tossed it up and caught it, puffing her cheeks out, and sat, resting her chin on her hand as she lined up another throw.
“What a drag… Why has it been so quiet? Even the Heartless have been scarce…”
Thunk!
Another miss, but this time her grumble was masked by a scream. She perked up, grin already forming, mind racing to every possibility it could be. Idly, without looking, she threw the knife one last time at the wall before scrambling to get her gear. Her mask was strapped on, and she fit her device around her shoulders. It just had to be Heartless, no! At the very least, she’d get to see what the scream was, and it was something to fill her idle day. She made sure she had everything, before running to pull her knife from the center of the target, giggling to herself.
“Oh, this better be exciting~”
---
It wasn’t often that the survivors of the Nightfall went after one another, but Jaeh watched from the shadows as the man cornered the smaller woman, waiting for the right chance. Her knife danced between her fingers, as she heard him demand whatever she was carrying, a finger on her lips, but when he grabbed for the girl, Jaeh jumped down. She landed with barely a sound, but the movement caught his attention and he turned towards her. He was met with a huge smile, and the feeling of two needles jamming into his torso. Jaeh walked forward, twirling her knife before him, smiling at him. Stalking her prey.
“Now, now, it’s not very nice to take things from a lady, is it mister? Maybe you just don’t know the feeling. But don’t worry, I’m going to take all I need from you.”
He stepped back in fear, tugging the syringes from his body, but she dashed forward, biting into her hand to get the blood flowing. A shield of crimson formed between him and her, and she rammed him with it, knocking him back as his victim barely ducked out of the way. He hit the wall, stumbling for a second, but found his footing again, and Jeah was caught off guard by his hook to her face, knocking her backwards. With a cry, she landed a short distance away, but got up slowly, chuckling, and wiped a trickle of blood from her mouth.
“That really hurt, pycdynt. I’m really going to have to teach you a lesson.”
“Try it, freak! I’m not scared of you?”
Oh, this is very exciting. He’s going to eat those words.
From her crouched position, she began to dash towards him, the control on her wrist launching her needles forward. Two wrapped around his hands, two more once again inserted into his torso, and the remaining two grabbed him by the neck. He had little time to struggle before she jumped and drop-kicked him in the chest, making him fall, and she got up, moving to put a knee on his chest before he could react. She looked down at him, grinning and flushed with excitement, as she wiped a trickle of blood from the corner of her mouth.
“Not scared of me? You should be. I can’t let some creep that hurts innocent girls walk around. Let’s make better use for you.”
She didn’t stop the pull of his blood until he was unconscious, inhaling the crimson gas with a pleased sigh. Her needles popped out and retracted, and she gave him a kick for good measure.
“Let that be a lesson. You were a big help, though. Maybe we’ll meet again.”
She paused and turned when she heard applause, though.
Jaeh is a blonde haired youth who wears her hair in two messy side buns. Amber eyes and an almost perpetual smile are accompanied by cheeks flushed constantly with excitement. She wears a simple school outfit, and a scarf that she made herself with a tooth motif. When using her dresspheres, her outfit remains the same, but her outfit is accompanied with a facemask and a device fitted around her neck and on her shoulders designed to grapple and draw blood from enemies.

[PTab=✨ ABILITIES]
Abilities
Haemomancy: The art of magically manipulating blood. Jaeh was born with this power, which was considered unusual for an Al Bhed. How it manifest in her is unknown, though some speculation stated that she had the potential to be a Summoner. As such, she hid it at Home unless absolutely needed.
Haemokinesis: The ability to create solid weapons from her blood. See weapons above.
Transfusion: By using the blood that she collects from enemies with her collar, Jaeh can inject herself with their blood. Her magic converts the blood to be compatible with her body, essentially rewriting the cells with her own DNA. The process isn’t instantaneous, and as such is not an emergency solution. Often, the process makes her physically ill, and she has to rest while taking in new blood. In rare occasions, she can ingest blood instead of injecting it, though this takes a much higher quantity of it to be effective.
Garment Grid - Sanguine Bond: A device designed by Jaeh to access the power of the Dresspheres. It allows the user to draw upon the power of their inherent magic, tying the unique haemomancy powers Jaeh has to the two Dresspheres she has. Once she chooses one form, she is incapable of switching to the other for a 3 post duration.
White Mage: A mage with healing capability.
Haemopotent Regeneration: The power of the White Mage accelerates the production of her blood cells to an inhuman level. By doing this, she can cure small wounds on herself, but its greatest use allows her to heal others via her own blood, even bringing those on the brink of death back if they drink enough
Pray: Heals all Jaeh’s allies for a small amount.
Black Mage: A mage focused on offensive capabilities.
Haemoacidic Spray: By ingesting her own blood, Jaeh can make it become acidic in nature, and can spray it in a 15-foot cone via her mouth. The magic seems to replicate the blood she ingests, so she doesn’t need to use a large amount, but ingesting too much will affect her still.
Fire: Deals fire damage to one enemy.
Skills
Machina Assembly: Due to her experience with machina back in Home, Jaeh is adept with the use of technology, and given the materials, can easily repair broken devices.
Agility: Though she lacks physical strength, she makes up for it in agility, proficient in climbing, jumping, and running faster and better than most.
Limitations/Drawbacks:
Limited Blood Supply: Most of Jaeh’s magic is reliant on her having blood to use, but as she uses it more, she risks a higher chance of fainting from exhaustion. More taxing use of her spells, under the right circumstances, could actually prove fatal.
Mood Swings: An enemy who studies Jaeh closely enough can use her unstable emotional state to their advantage, causing her to act irrationally.

[PTab=🔮 PERSONALITY]
Jaeh is a shadow of what she used to be in her youth, a bright and cheery girl who had a future in machina design. Since the fall of Home and whatever damage she sustained in it, she has been reduced to a manic, excitable individual, focused on her own self-preservation above all else. She retains a very immature way of acting, her development having been stunted by something in the fall. Certain things trip some bad memory in her, and she can easily flip from a cheery, excitable youth to a state of sadism, or quiet depression. It’s clear she holds back a lot of trauma behind her excitement, and not having an outlet for her excess energy can be very stressful for her. As such, being cooped up or imprisoned causes her to deteriorate even further, intensifying her mood swings.
This isn’t to say she’s not capable of normal interaction. She very much likes people and working with them, and has some drive to preserve other’s well-being. She likes the idea of love, though her ideas of it, once again, are very fantastical and immature. Machines and building catch her interest easily, and keep her distracted well.
