Name:Number IV Vexen
Nickname(optional):The Chilly Academic
Age: He believes he doesnt have one.
Gender:Male....you simpleton....
Species:Nobody
Position: He is not good or evil. Simply a man of Science going after his own goal.
Powers:He fights with a large blue shield, which he uses to fend off frontal attacks, making it necessary to attack him from behind. He is also able to use the shield offensively, akin to Goofy, but further enhances the style with the spikes lining the edge of his shield. He can use the power of ice to blast his enemy with ice from his hand, and can call forth large chunks of ice from the ground to freeze his opponent solid. He also has the power to create slippery ice patches on the ground, or summon icicles that rise from the ground and follow their target for several seconds. Finally, he can create an unavoidable blizzard that can be resisted only with a card break. In the remake, Vexen can conjure up a sword out of ice and whack his opponent several times with it.
Weapon:A large blue shield said to be called Freeze Pride
Picture(optional):Appearance:Like all organization members he wears an onyx coat along with a pair of black pants, black boots, and black gloves. His long blonde hair hangs a few inches past his shoulders and is combed neatly. his only other notable feature is his dark green eyes he uses to solve anything and everything he studies.
Personality:Vexen approaches problems like a scientist, with a hypothesis and a method to test those hypotheses. He appears to view life as a grand experiment. More than any other member, save Xemnas, he considers his numerical rank a literal one and will often deride members with lower numerical rankings than his; he reminds Marluxia of his superior rank when Marluxia orders him not to "disappoint us" again and addresses Zexion by his inferior rank when Zexion lamented Vexen's impatience, but is often chastised by others for this behaviour. Although not explicit, given his attitude, he may not understand why Saix, a member three ranks lower, is technically second-in-command and not Xigbar.
Vexen also displays a fear of Xemnas, immediately bowing to Marluxia's demand to destroy Sora when Marluxia threatened to tell Xemnas of the failure of the Riku replica. He also feared to approach Xemnas while the later was in the Room of Sleep, and took Zexion's suggestion to approach Xemnas there as a joke.
History/Background:Vexen is the Nobody of Even, who was one of the top apprentices of Ansem the Wise. He is mentioned in the Secret Ansem Reports as early as the first psychological tests on the head apprentice Xehanort as being particularly interested in memory. He helped found the core of the Organization, along with Xehanort, Ienzo, Braig, Dilan, and Elaeus. Unlike many of them, he retained his scientific nature, approaching many problems experimentally. He is a calculating and scientific character by nature, even able to use data from a fight to program the Riku replica for combat. This scientific brilliance and his power over ice earned him the title the Chilly Academic.
Through it all he met his End in castle Oblivion when fighting against Sora, due to Axel's orders to kill him. He was later brought back by Xemnas in order to reastablish the Organization once more.
Role Playing Sample:Vexen sat there testing his new experiment, a new type of nobody. He looked over slightly at the papers sitting on the side of his desk. They were recommendations as to things he could do or make for the others. The only outlandish thing in the pile was a draw between Axel's flame retardant suit needing fixing to a laser eye patch for Xigbar because "It would be cool dude". He shivered slightly at remembering Number 2's attitude toward everything.
How could an oaf like him be Number 2? If I had his power then surely I would be Number 2. Sometimes I wonder how he even joined our ranks. The fool... Suddenly he was broken from his thought by the smoke coming from the small replica of his own weapon he had been planning to equip unto the new nobodies. he turned off the soldering iron and tosses it aside in mild furry.
I don’t know how I get anything done with these simpletons surrounding me. I'm amazed I am able to sit here in quiet for more then an hour. He stared down at the burnt area on the circuit board and noticed the burn wasn’t too bad.
It can be salvaged... He slowly picked up the soldering iron and went back to his finishing touches on the small shield. as soon as he was done he stood and called a dusk forth to be his test subject.
Now the way this should work is that if this shield is placed on one of the Dusks... Then it will transform into a Dusk sized miniature of myself, with the exception that it will be white... He closed the panel in the back of the shield and set it in the Dusk's left hand while he hurried to get a notepad to write down the results. As soon as he located one and a pen, he turned to see the Dusk contorting to try and form something... "Yes, Success!" he said with an odd grin as he started writing down what he had done with the shield. As he looked back to it he saw a perfect Dusk sized replica. Yet his artificial smile soon became a frown as the replica began trying to move and started changing colors frozen in its first step
But everything was right. I ran the numbers and equations it should work. He continued writing the events up until the color shifting dusk sized replica took a second step, busting into nothing. After the small shield had stopped clattering on the ground, Vexen made an exasperated sigh and wrote down what had happened. "It seems I still need to work out a few bugs in this. I will have to remind myself not to think about other fools while working."
Questions/Comments/Suggestions? I think i put it here....then again i could be wrong...its been a while since i have put up a new profile
