In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

He had seen gods at work, and multi-headed monsters. He had seen dragons and swam with mermaids. He had slain winged nightmares, and grappled with creatures of mythology.
He had never experienced snow.
Sure, he had seen in it here in Christmas Town and tramping through it in The Land of the Dragons had been really interesting, but never in either occasion did he have the time to really explore the powdery white phenomenon that dusted the ground in glittering heaps. It never snowed on Destiny Islands, even during the coldest of winters and the closest thing they had to a white Christmas included the year Ms. Rainey had her third grade class make paper snowflake cutouts to put in the windows.
He had definitely never made a snowman before.
So far, he gathered that snow was cold and that when it touched his skin, it melted into water. When he scooped it up with his ungloved hands, it was light and powdery and…really, really cold. With a child’s wonder, he looked up as the white fluff fell from the sky, wondering if A) he could catch one on his tongue and B) if it would taste as sugary as it looked. Probably not, he reasoned, all things considered, but there was still that part of him that wondered…
A dark portal opened up at Yule tide hill and as a figure started to slowly stagger out of it the portal it self started to fall apart. "NO!" screamed Maverick as he started to run out of his soon to be prison if he didn't get out". Maverick jumped out of the portal just as it fell apart.
"Damn, I guess my powers really are starting to deteriorate....." Maverick said to himself as he slowly got to his feet, "No thanks to what that one heartless did to me back in Traverse Town" he continued as he placed his hand over the wound on his stomach and felt blood. he looked down and realized that jumping out of the portal caused his wound to get worse.
"Son of a bitch!!!!!" Maverick screamed out that seemed to travel for miles "Why am I so USELESS!!!!" Maverick continued to scream, "I can't even handle a simple attack....first I get hunted down by Saix and now I don't even have the power to attack someone and I'm so pathetic that I let my guard down" he finished as his wound let out a sharp pain that caused him to drop to his knees. "Need to find help" he said quietly as he walked towards the town.
Maverick reached Christmas Town's main square and saw a boy trying to catch snowflakes on his tongue. "Doesn't seem like to most qualified person to ask but might as well try" Maverick said with a bit of remorse in his voice. Maverick got with in semi-shouting distance and said, "Hey, boy, do you know were I can get so......." he started to say as his pupils shrank and his skin went pale, Maverick then doubled over in pain screaming and fell to ground barely awake and now numb all over his body.
Sora winced as Maverick’s loud curse cut through the air. The boy was sure that not only could it have traveled for miles, but it could have woken the resident dead as well (not to mention get a person a permanent spot on Santa’s naughty list).
He turned around, just as the young man began to double over, face twisted with pain and desperation.
Naughty list or not, this guy was in serious trouble.
Without hesitation, Sora ran to his side, hastily shouting, “Heal!” while casting the spell through the tip of his Keyblade. The soft green light exploded and swirled, as the magical properties bound the surface wounds, staunching the blood flow, and giving a boost to his energy levels. It was a simple spell, primitive but effective—primarily for use in battle, when there simply isn’t the time to clean and bandage an injury, when strength and presence of mind are essential, and each moment draws a fine line between life and death.
Mavericks body became less numb when the Cure spell went through him and he started to shiver slightly. When the boy ran towards him Maverick noticed him summon his keyblade, which, Maverick took great relief in. Maverick slowley stood up as teh boy asked if he was ok. With a soft voice Maverick replied weakly "As much as I'm ever going to be.....I wont be alive much longer as it is, with Saix and....." he stoped himself "I want to thank for your help". Maverick placed his hand over the glowing green spot on his stomach and grew bone over it to hold in the magic and continued with his conversation.
"But I do have a question about that weapon of yours.....what is it? I've never seen anything like it before" He asked Sora. "Oh and by the way the names Maverick and what might yours be?" as Maverick held out his hand for a shake.
"I'm Sora. Just take it easy, Maverick. We need to get you to a healer." As far as the boy was concerned, the nature of his weapon took the least priority at the moment, as Maverick lay in the snow with a magically sealed wound. He knew from experience that nothing substituted medical attention from a trained healer, especially with injuries such as these.
Stand? Maverick could barely walk after his injuries. But he might as well try. Slowly he stood up with his legs shaking. He stood up right for a few moments but his leg buckled, but in a flash Maverick shot out a bone from his hand to the ground to catch him. "Yeah I can stand, but only with some support here" he replied. But as for a healer, Maverick could try to go to one of them. He only worried that they might find out that his bone structre is different from normal. He looked around and said, "Well Sora, I dont think there is a healer in this place..." he pointed at the factory in the distance "Unless that place can help us".
(sorry for the short post, I dont have much time right now)
Seeing his difficulty, Sora offered support, allowing Maverick to lean his weight against him.
"I'm sure someone in Christmas Town will be able to help. I'll bet even Santa gets sick sometimes." Blue eyes peered at the factory in the distance, "It's not too far. Come on."
Step by step, the boy helped Maverick make the trek across the snow. If he thought the man's ability with bone was odd or strange, he didn't show it, not even bothering to mention it or draw attention to it. He had seen many a strange power in his day, ranging from ice beams, to flower power. Bone manipulation was not so different by comparison.

Maverick was extremely grateful for Soras help with making sure he was ok. No one usualy showed him kindness to this extent. Well maybe it has something to do with the fact Maverick is the one who is the rude one to other people and in return they are ruse to him. Maverick stopped walking and turned to face Sora when he heard him mention Santa. Surely he was kidding, Santa was just a myth that parents made up so kids would be good during Christmas time. He remembered when he found out Santa was fake. He waited in the shadows of his families living room all night to wait for Santa, but alas Maverick never saw Santa all night, it crushed his heart. "You don't mean the real Santa, the big guy in red with the reindeer do you? I mean there's no way he could be real...right?" Maverick asked showing some obvious confusion. After all he never saw Santa when he was a child so how could he be real.
"Sure he's real!" Sora chirped, as they made their way. He had always believed in Old Saint Nick as a kid, growing up on the islands. Even though it never snowed, and to see a reindeer, you had to travel about thirty five miles inland to the state zoo, he knew about Santa's annual flight.
Of course, like all children, he was disappointed to find that most other people did not share that belief. Riku eventually convinced him that he was, in fact, a myth and the idea held until Sora met him face-to-face in Christmas Town.
He would never doubt again.
"I've met him." He said with pride.

Maverick was a bit shocked to hear that Sora had actually met Santa in person. "No wait, he is probably just messing with you" Maverick thought to himself. "If you say so" he replied with doubt. They kept on walking towards the factory and Maverick was still a little confused at why Sora helped him in the first place. After all they have never met, never spoken to each other, and for all Sora could know Maverick could be his enemy. So he decided to ask him.
He turned his head to ask him, "Hey Sora, why did you help me anyway?, you don't even know me. All the other people I know wouldn't bother with someone in my condition".
Sora never did understand what prompted questions like these. Similarly, he had no idea how to answer them. Why did he help someone who clearly needed it, instead of leaving him in the snow?
"Because it's the right thing to do."
It didn't get much simpler than that. Most people would do the same and didn't take a brain surgeon or a scientist like Dr. Finklestein to figure it out.
"The people you know must not be very nice," He concluded.
The right thing?? Never a term Maverick would use if he would help someone. He only did it if the act some how furthered his own goals. Which by the way have gone completly down the drain. All he was focused on was staying alive untill Saix came back to collect the bounty put on his head. Whenever that time came, Maverick will not be caught off guard again.
"Yeah...everyone I know either hates me or wants me dead". Maverick said in a gloomy way.
The two kept on making their way to the factory when another question popped into his head. Maybe this boy knows something about Saix or maybe even Xemnas, after all It couldn't hurt to ask....could it?
"Sora, have you ever heard of a guy named Saix or Xemnas?" Maverick asked the child plain and simple.
Gone.....not the word Maverick would use for those guys. Sora must not know their apparent return. "I wouldn't say their gone. Im being hunted down by them at the present time. By....uhhh. Who's the guy with the long blue hair and the X scar on his face?" Maverick asked. He wasn't the best when it came to remembering people, even those who wanted him dead.
