In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Name: Edgar Roni Figaro Nickname(optional): Gerad (more of a pseudonym than a nickname)
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Position: Good
Powers: He has with him the Magicite left behind by the esper Ramuh, which allows him to cast Bolt and Bolt 2 (a.k.a. Thunder and Thundara) and Poison. In addition, he can also summon Ramuh himself, although that is not something he does often, as the process is quite draining. He has a few other spells up his sleeve, such as Warp, Reflect, Shell, Safe and Haste.
Weapon: He has his tools. His tools are as follows:
The Auto Crossbow, a crossbow capable of firing at high speeds at multiple targets with surprising accuracy. What it lacks in strength, it makes up for in area of effect.
The Bio Blaster, essentially a giant gas gun. It spews a hazardous, poisonous gas from its nozzle, covering a rather large area in front of him. Note: watch for shifts in wind, especially if attempting to use without a gas mask.
The Noise Blaster, a machine that makes a rather loud noise, deafening and confusing those nearby. Wear earplugs when using it, ALWAYS.
The Flash, a machine which produces a blinding flash of light. For this one, tinted glasses are in order.
The Drill. It’s longer that your average drill, the bit being several feet long and quite sturdy, and quite good at drilling holes in one’s opponents.
The Chain Saw. Need I say more for this one?
His less lethal tools, like his screwdriver set, an adjustable wrench, and a pocket knife.
Now, obviously he doesn’t carry all of these at all times – he simply couldn’t manage them all. He generally carries the Auto Crossbow with him (it’s got a holster on his back for it). His smaller tools are also generally on his person. Also, the ex-king carries a rapier at his side for close combat.
Appearance: Edgar is fairly well built, thin but not frail, and carries himself as is expected of him: like a king. He stands 6’ tall, with slightly pale skin, long blond hair that comes down his back in a large ponytail, and sky blue eyes. His clothes are fit for a king: regal clothing of bright blue and bright colored highlights. He wears a long blue cape on his back, with golden tassels along the bottom edge.
Personality:"The young king of Figaro Castle, Imperial ally, and champion of the technological revolution..."
Edgar, generally speaking, is a good guy. He fights for the right reasons, and has a strong sense of responsibility, especially towards his kingdom. He doesn’t lie or cheat for lying and cheating’s sake, but he’s not above it for the right reasons. He acts with dignity and grace when he can, and is generally level-headed. His weakness, however, is women. He will flirt with just about any girl he meets, though not in a sleazy way, but in a dashing “Prince Charming” sort of way. He cares for his family, which at the moment, is only his brother, Sabin, who is nowhere to be found since their world was destroyed.
Original World: Aeolus (World of FF6)
Current Residing World: Travelling (But soon to light on Radiant Garden)
History/Background: One could argue that to fully understand Edgar’s history, you’d have to start with the War of the Magi, 1000 years ago.
Luckily, you get the abridged version.
Edgar Roni Figaro and his twin brother, Sabin Rene Figaro were born 27 years ago, to the current king and queen of Figaro, a nation on the world of Aeolus. In the following years, their mother, the queen, fell ill and passed away. Some time later, the Empire, fearing the nation of Figaro would grow too strong, poisoned the king. At the time, Edgar and Sabin were both 17. Neither wanted to take up the position of king of Figaro, as both wanted freedom, and both wanted revenge against the Empire. By the same token, Edgar knew they couldn’t both leave, or else the kingdom would fall in to disarray. The night the king passed away, a deal was struck. The brothers would flip a coin: heads, and Sabin would be free to leave the castle and live his life to his choosing and Edgar would remain as king. Tails, and the reverse was true.
It says a lot about Edgar that he chose the coin; a two-headed coin.
Over the next ten years, he ruled as king of Figaro, pretending to be an ally of the Empire, but secretly helping the rebel group known as the Returners. In this time, he befriended Locke Cole, a key member of the Returners. When, 10 years after becoming king, Edgar was approached by Locke with a mysterious girl with the rare power of magic that had been, until recently, under the control of the Empire, Edgar left the castle with Locke to take her to the Returner hide-out. Along the way, they ran into Sabin, who had been training in the mountains, and who joined the group in escorting Terra to the Returners. When the Returners learned of Terra, her magic, and an esper deep in the mines of Narshe, they took her there in order to recreate the strange reaction she had had to the same esper just before she was found by the Returners. After fighting off Imperial troops trying to capture the esper for their own research, Terra spoke to the esper, and ended up transforming and literally flying away.
The rest of the party regrouped in a local house at Narshe, before going in search of Terra. They eventually found her in the thieves town of Zozo, being cared for by Ramuh, another esper living disguised as a human in the human world. There they learned of the War of the Magi, the Esperworld, and of Magicite. Magicite is the essence of an esper that is left behind when the esper passes away. It is the only way to fully pass on the power of an esper to a human. After talking to them, Ramuh told them of the Magitek Research Facility in Vector, where several other espers were being held captive. Ramuh then gave them his power by turning himself into Magicite, on the condition that they would travel to Vector and stop the Empire from using the other espers in their research.
In need of a mode of transport to the southern continent… gods this is dragging on. Long story short, the Empire gets control of the three statues that control all magic in the world, General Kefka double crosses Emperor Gestahl, kills the old geezer, takes control of the world. On that day the way was opened for the Heartless in the madness and confusion. The world actually managed to hold out for a while – six months. Edgar alternated between fending off the Heartless he came across, trying to find his friends, and trying to find his castle, which had been buried when the world was ruined and rearranged. Unfortunately, he failed in all three, and the world was consumed.
Edgar woke up in Traverse Town with not much on his person. He did have a fair amount of cash, however, and was able to use that to purchase a gummi ship, which he’s been using for the last two years to search for any signs of his friends. So far, he’s yet to find much, but stories of a tall, powerful, silver-haired man in Radiant Garden have him headed in that direction, thinking Emperor Gestahl might just have survived after all… not that he’s a friend, but he is a connection to Edgar’s world.
Role Playing Sample: Not necessary.
Questions/Comments/Suggestions? Just saying, this has been in the works for nearly six months. Also, I lost files a couple of times in that. I’m sick of writing it! So the history is a bit super condensed at the end. Sorry.
