In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Darkun blinked, where was he?
It had all started like any normal day, he was in Twilight town then ... he phased into his shadow and next thing he knew he was here? That's a point where exactly is here? Upon first glance it looked peaceful, the tall buildings and the darkness that seemed thick enough to cut. Although a strange feeling of dark was around, almost enough darkness to consume someone, strangle anyone. What was he doing here?
Time passed, he was still motionless, standing there amazed by this strange new place and he knew that he would have to find a way home, but at the minute everything seemed so strange. He wandered around aimlessly, waltzing around the empty streets. It was quiet... too quiet, and that’s just how Darkun liked it. He wondered if he'd stumbled upon some unknown world, one that was free of anything. If this were true ... Darkun would probably stay here.
After walking aimlessly Darkun tired of it, and got to thinking. How would he get back if he needed to? Could he phase back into his own shadow and appear there again? No, he might end up somewhere else. His best bet was to try and find SOMEONE around these empty streets so he continued walking; his brightly coloured cloths stuck out like a sore thumb in the dark dismal city. A world with no promise, no future… nothing.
He finally came up with an Idea, one that he disliked but would work. People always seemed to be drawn to his song, even though he hated people hearing him. So he sang, he sang his favourite wordless song, one that sounded like an angelic biblical song. It echoed around the dark streets, the echoes making the song sound even more like a church hymn. Maybe someone would come.
Hip to the jive! The bee's knees! The nightlife had it going on, it had everything that everyone wanted out of one moment, one lifetime even. The World That Never Was was full of these nights, endless and everyone one of them great.
Some would debate on that last statement, though it all depended on who the person was. Anything was only what you made of it, if you said it was terrible and unwanted, chances were, it would come across that way to you. Aros loved the scene in the town, he loved the emptiness, the whole grunge appeal that came with being a part of the city, a working gear in the clock and the design of its mechanics. There was just something about dampened streets with streaming, glowing neon lights above his head was just so very pleasing to him, he loved it, and wouldn't want to be anywhere else at the moment.
Wandering passed the time by, sure it wasn't exciting, but you could always find the occasional puddle... and hey, those things splashed! Nothing said 'Watch your step!' like an ankle wet in God knows what... 'water', he'll call it. This shadow could wander around in this town and never bore himself. Always something, something that perked his interest.
But wait... at the sound that was heard at a turn... it just... killed his groove! Yes, killed it!
A church hymn... What sort of idiot sang those while on a night out? In Aros' books, being shot and/or maimed would be the correct charge for this crime... but in today's day and age there had to be things like laws to get around... laws... feh.
Turning his head, he narrowed his eyes to get a closer view at the sound. It was coming from a kid, not that much age difference from him, brightly clothed, not overly tall. Aros could sum up this guy in three words; Annoying and Different. And it definitely wasn't that good sort of different that made you unique, it was that sort of different that made you get beat up for not following the flock.
"Hey, put a lid on it," he shouted down the street with narrowed eyes.
Hope that kid was smart. Or maybe he didn't... either way, this was going to be the entertainment of the night, that was for sure.

((Sorry about the length, Muse is being a pain)) Darkun had wondered if anyone would ever come, then he heard a shout. Someone had told him to shut up, which meant he wasn’t alone. Darkun sighed at the idea that there were actually people here. "Damn" was all he could mutter.
Turning slowly to look towards the voice, at first glance he gasped, his eyes widened, although he doubted this ... boy? Thing? Would have noticed it at this distance, and with his hair obscuring most of his eyes. After letting the image settle in, he noted that there was large differences in who Darkun had thought it was. This one wasn't coated in darkness... He was darkness.
Darkun glared ominously towards the figure, a sudden urge to yell at the figure grew inside him... Dawa... He swallowed the urge and thought about trying to converse with this person. Although he was too shy and scared, what if Dawa decided he wanted to play . Instead of walking closer Darkun merely mumbled only just loud enough to be heard " Sorry ... Do you know where we... I am?" That plural that kept pushing at his throat was beginning to annoy Darkun. Dawa was beginning to become more like a brother than an evil.
Darkun wondered if what he said was right, should he of just walked on and see if he could of found someone less ... intimidating? No, this was his chance. This was his one and maybe only chance. Although ... Darkun could share, this city seemed big enough to never see each other again. Maybe he would stay.
(Mind if i step in?, my character Avalon needs a bit of exercise.)
The sky was dark and black, this place suited his appearance well. Although he wasn't black however, he was fairly pale, and wore black - torn robes. HIs Katana rattled in his thin black case as he walked looking around stifly as though expecting another attack from somewhere. Since it had already happened before, just a few moments ago to be exact, but the Dusks were no match for his skills, Avalon smiled slightly in pleasure of having defeated opponents who were insuperior to his abillities. He had no idea why he was brought here, to a place of nothingess but black, cloudless sky and deserted streets. Maybe his Dark Edge blade had something to with it, perhaps it had a purpose for him to come here?. Avalon will never know until he did some recon.
As he walked further in to the streets he could've sworn that he heard a shout, and something else which sounded like a humne tune. Now who would be playing something like that in a seemingly deserted place like this?, the world is full of mysterious things he thought to himself as he approached the sources of the noises that had occured so far, not knowing weither they were enemies or (He couldn't bare the thought) his friends?, if he even had any. Never the less, he walked closer to these strangers and opened his mouth to speak to them, in a cocky and cold manner.
Who the hell are you two?, if you don't have any buissnes here then clear off. I need some space.
( well the thread says open, so i hope no one minds if I join in.)
A Drak portal opened in this strange world. From it stteped out a Nobody, he examined the world around him closely.
Caxnon had been to this world only twice in his life. And both his vists always ended with him jumping through a portal, or something similar. But this time he wanted to fully explore this place, untill he found what he was looking for. He contiued walking with his head down untill he heared a few voices.
Caxnon looked up and saw a small group of people. He stood from a distance and analyzed the group infront of him.
He would wait to see what thier actions were first then he went to talk to them.

((Yuffie gave me permission to pass her turn due to her having Finals. Also sorry about short post, I'm struggling with my muse still.))
Darkun was suddenly taken aback, a few seconds ago he was alone, now he was surrounded, and he disliked that idea. He glanced around the area, instantly aware of the other presence waiting at a large distance. To Darkun, the man’s shadow stuck out like a sore thumb. He decided to concentrate on the now and ignored the man in the distance, the less people near him the better.
Now Darkun had the problem of the shadowy being, he guessed that he could easily avoid this one by simply phasing, also it seemed a pretty good guess he had an affinity for darkness if so Darkun could resist many of his attacks ... hopefully. There was still the problem of the goby one, the one that told him to leave... Darkun wished he could go back to Twilight Town now; this place wasn't as empty as he first hoped.
"I'm very sorry ... But I can't do that ... Leave that is. I very much wish I could but I-" Darkun cut off at that word, he didn't want to reveal too much, maybe he had already said far too much. He stood there, still as a statue, waiting for someone to make a move. If a confrontation does arise, it would make little difference to him, he knew he could escape ... He feared what would happen if Dawa got control. That was his one and only bane of existence and ironically ... It was himself Dawa.
It seemed that he didn't like Avalon's company at all, it struck him as to why the mad was reluctant to leave. Although it didn't worry him much after all, he played by his own rules and listend to his own logic, even if they did spark a fight between them - it would be he, Avalon who would be the superior. He didn't know weither the man in front of him knew that their was another being in the area, Avalon could hear the sound of footsteps behind him. Avalon quickly reacted and smiled slightly as he drew his Katana, as fast as lightning. He then dashed towards the unkown being, recklessly, not knowing how strong or what the opponent was capable of, well now was the time to find out.
This is where the fun begins...
That was usually the thought that went through Avalon's mind as he dashed towards an opponent, it was a way to keep him going while he was fighting, it was a sort of comfort and motivation for his desire to gain full power of his potential no matter what. But he was afraid of one thing, would the Dark Edge Katana that only he alone could use, start going out of his control again like last time?, sometimes the Dark blade would act on it's own with that much power and darkness, it was too much for Avalon to handle and thus - he could lose himself in rage...
((Reasons Yuffie hates open threads with dark characters: • They always get in fights with the heros/beat-em-ups • Some form of fight in general breaks out • Fighting...
Yeah, I've sorta got something against a fight breaking out for no reason whatsoever >>;; ))
Laughable.... Laughable! Ah-haha-ha!
Was this guy serious? His turf... last Aros checked, the world belonged to the two groupings, Dark Twelve and The Organization. He was a part of Organization Thirteen... roughly. And organization had to aide by certain equality and rules in order to exist, lots of heavy paperwork stuff, binding contracts that were never written, just talked of. He owned a portion of what they owned, he'd claim this alley right now, for now, though only for now... he'd never want to be responsible for this.
Time-shares always were troublesome little things after all.
Man, whoever this kid was, he sure had some problems. Drawing a blade that quickly and getting that mad wasn't good for one's health. Ring, ring, Hypertension's on the line. It was sort of amusing just to sit back and watch the guy tire himself out... maybe he'd have a vein pop, ooh, or maybe even an aneurysm!
Aros' mind boggled at the possibilities! Sadly though... he wasn't the one who wanted to clean up a bit of blood or whatever the chain reaction was from certain actions.
With the flick of his hand, a large, vine-like, hardened wisp seemed to unroot itself from the pavement, sticking out, barely noticeable in the dark of night, by the runner's path.
Trip, fall, entertainment once more for the shadow.

Darkuns eyes widened. Never had he seen this before; someone else that could manipulate the shadows the way he did. To anyone else the small slither only a few feet from the running man’s feet would have been invisible. To Darkun, it was like a lighthouse.
Darkun didn’t like fighting; he despised it in fact, mainly because he couldn’t fight; that was Dawa's job. He knew he was stuck, let him charge and a fight breaks out between the man on his own, let him run and he trips and fights the strange shadowy thing near him. Stop him and he might have to fight this man. Darkun was truly stuck; no ideas would come.
Finally a decision, it came to his mind only as a passing thought but quickly became a plan.
Darkun simply flicked a hand in front of him, the running man would of never been able to see this, he was facing the wrong way. Darkun carefully focused on the shadows near the running man, he knew he could do this if he really tried. That was it! He had it. A large wall of shadows shuck up from the ground, and they bent and warped into a semi dome in front of the running man, alas it was behind the tripping shadow, Darkun hoped he stopped before he hit the trip.
Darkun smiled one his insanity smiles and looked up, now we would see what would happen. This would go very bad, in which case Dawa would get some fun, or it would go well, and fighting could stop. "Pointless" he mumbled to himself.
Caxnon stopped dead in his tracks as he saw one of the figures rush at him with his weapon ready. he didn't have much time to react he was about to get slashed when a dark shield appeared in front of him. Caxnon's attacker turned his attention to the person responsible for creating the field.
Caxnon used this opportunity to draw his gunblade. The person who tried to attack him turned had his focus on the blonde again.
'' don't just stand there. Attack so i can beat you.'' Caxnon said to the figure that nearly injured him.
He was getting closer and closer to the unaware target, soon he was near enough to slash him with his Katana and then he would feel satisfied, despite how foolish and unessesary it was, it demonstarated how badly the darkness had corrupted him. But no matter, Avalon thought that with this newfound strength he would be able to overcome almost anything, but these were nothing but arrogant thoughts, he knew that he would lose control of himself and the blade would take over his tolerance - and who knows what bad things he would do then.
Avalon smirked as he brought his Katana close to his target but suddenly he was blocked by a a wall of darkness. He halted his position and turned to face the man who had caused the source, he was still smiling and then said.
Hmph, you think that can stop me?,
Avalon was confident that with his dark powers he can counter other darkness users, he placed his hand on the barrier and closed his scarlet eyes. A few seconds later the barrier slowly dissapeared, he had absorbed the darkness. Avalon turned around slowly showing his superiority and fired several dark aura rounds at the man who had blocked his path with his hand...

Darkun watched, dumbfounded... at how stupid this man was. He demonstrated he had darkness powers of his own, and could absorb them, yet he still fired darkness at Darkun? This man was obviously either a moron or not thinking straight.
Darkun watched the darkness, its majestic beauty flying towards him. He smiled. Dawa was begging to take control. As the darkness drew near enough, Darkun quickly held out his hand, grabbing one of the dark shots fired towards him. This ... would be fun. He held it there, as more dark shots fired into his hand, collecting them all, forming them into a single ball of pure dark. When they had all collected he swung it behind himself, adding extra force to the attack, and flung it back towards the man whom now had his back turned. With this much darkness surely it would do something?
He glanced as he launched it, at the strange shadowy being that looked completely un-amused by this conflict. He reminded him of Dawa, he liked that. Strangely enough he came to a quick conclusion that this man, was the same as Darkun. Only maybe, he was stuck in the dark form. The Ying Yang symbol rushed through his mind again.
Avalon closed his hand and turned around ready to strike his target, but before he could he hesitated and heard a powerful dark energy ball flying towards him. He could feel the familiar presence of darkness within the ball, it felt somewhat comforting, to feel something that was on your side being sent back although he couldn't explain it, but somehow he knew that Darkun was like him. Corrupted by darkness and fighting to control it. He quickly lowered his weapon and smirked again, he waited for the ball of energy to come closer near enough to hit him. But as it was just about to hit him he backflipped over it and then created a dark portal, he fell in to it and appeared behind the man who had countered his Dark Aura rounds. He drew his Katana and was about to slash him with one hand, showing no mercy in his attack and he knew that the battle was already won.
But before he could slash him, he suddenly stopped as soon as the moon ray had hit him. Avalon droped his Katana and it dissapeared in purple smoke, then he buckled and began to growl as though he were fighting to stop something from hurting him, his hadns began to transform in to sharp claws, his body was changing in to lush heavy fur and spikes sprouted from his head to his back. Avalon had transformed in to the Dark Wolf and let out a mighty howl and then stood up straight and crossed his arms in a cocky, and superior manner. He smiled slightly revealing his fangs, and before he knew it, he struck at the foe Darkun with his ferocious claw.

((Muse went a bit ott here lol sorry))
Darkun stood there focused on the shadows around him, when the portal opened he knew that this is how he would get back to twilight town. He had gone, did he shadow stalk? No. He was actually gone was all he could think. Then Darkun felt it re-appear, it was directly behind him and the katana was incoming, this man was too close, not enough time to...
Darkun smirked slightly, the katana was gone, and something was wrong with the man. He had gone down to his knees, his claws stretching out, he became more wolf like. This man was just like an adult version oh Darkun. This strange darkness that he couldn’t control, this strange alter ego that would come forth at a decent challenge. This beast was like Dawa. Maybe he was related? He may never know and in seconds the idea was gone, a claw swiped towards him.
"Is that the best you can do?" Dawa smiled, he had gotten out. Large, black tendrils leaked from his body, the ground underneath him was dark and pouring with darkness, Darkun had become Dawa and Dawa was happy to be free. " This... Will be fun brother" was all Dawa murmured.
Unlike Darkun, Dawa loved fighting, he only came out when it was time for a good fight, he did it for no reason at all. He loved to just kill people for the joy and loved toying with people’s emotions; he was the Yang to Darkun's Yin.
The claw got ever closer; Dawa knew that it was time. The claw connected, or so it seemed, the claw had gone through mere nothing. It was so fast the human eye would of missed it, he had slipped into the shadow just before the impact and slipped back to his position when the claw had gone past. Creating a grand illusion that he had phased through it.
" Awh, and I thought this was going to be fun!" Dawa shouted. Placing a hand directly in front of the beast and sending out a small blast of solidified shadow. At this range, he would have to do something pretty remarkable to dodge it, they where inches apart. Although this would not kill him, it was just like being hit in the chest with a metal pole, painful but not lethal.
His Claw slash narrowly missed Darkun by inches, he had withdrawn to the shadows and avoided his slash impressively. Then while Avalon twirled around to regain balance, Darkun had transformed in to something else, something he had never seen before adn he felt the darkness within the beast rival his. But this battle will be over soon. Then suddenly he was hit by a solidified shadow, it felt as though he was hit by a large metal pole, the blow hit his chest and knocked him back a few meteres. But he wasn't about to stop now this was starting to get more and more enjoyable by the minute. While he was in this state fighting seemed more like a hobby, something to pass the time. He thought differently like this, he sought other's destruction with his dark un-controled powers and he tried to prove that he was more formidable than he actually is.
These thoughts rushed through his mind as he was sent flying backwards, but soon enough he recovered and pressed his feet against the wall, smashing it inwards slightly as he hit it. He then smirked again. and extended his lushy furry arms towards Darkun and grabbed his shoulders. After a few quick seconds he then flung himself towards Darkun, with his sharp feet ready to slam him to the ground as though he was about to beat him down.
