In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

[Seeing that Shun has left the thread, perhaps now you can make it closed?]
A happy bark escaped Bolt as he looked up at Fearon when they started down the alley. He didn't know how long they would spend together, or even if they would find Penny on this world, but he continued to follow Fearon, wondering where he was being led. It was a new world, a new place, and there was very little he could do. So now he would follow Fearon, as he was the one who knew this town.
[So... What new things are you going to randomly bring into this thread to make it fun? Cuz right now... Its kinda boring xD]
((Hmm, is that why the posts have been going so slow? I... don't know. Your welcome to if you can think of anything. I think someone else has made Penny, if not don't worry, it won't be boring for long.))
Fearon walked down the hill, taking a couple of turns and finally came to a slanted stairway. In front of Fearon was one archway that led somewhere, and to his right, was another.
Now, umm... which way was it? Fearon thought to himself. His eyes glanced down at Bolt, who he could just see out of his peripheral vision. The dog trusted Fearon to get him too where he was going, Fearon didn't want to obliterate that trust by forgetting which way the marketplace was.
Honestly, Fearon did not want this dog to leave him, not without Penny anyway.
But... which way? Fearon shrugged and started foward walking to the marketplace.

[Well, after checking, no one has made Penny yet. But I personally dont know of anything that might make it more fun... I like doing fight things, but fighting heartless and nobodies gets boring after awhile]
Where could Penny possibly be? And why did it seem like he made a P sound back on the train? Sure he could talk to other animals, but this time, it seemed slightly different. He wasn't even sure how he did it. Was that what Fearon had looked at before? He tried moving his mouth in such a way that the P sound could come out again, but all he could get out was odd grunts and whines. So he left it at that. Maybe some other time he might figure out whats going on.
Fearon, for a second, seemed slightly lost, but Bolt didnt mind. Sure he wanted to find Penny, but he enjoyed being around Fearon. It was different being around a different human. He only truly knew what it was like to be around Penny. But this was different. This was also a boy, which made the way that they acted different as well. The real Penny probably wouldn't have fought those creatures, but Fearon just jumped into battle. So he wasn't sure just what he wanted anymore. He wanted to find Penny, but he wanted to stay with Fearon. It was all very confusing. Regardless, he did continue to faithfully follow Fearon, still not knowing his way around town.

Fearon walked through yet another archway, the scooter in hand. He gave a sigh of relief. The marketplace, Fearon was lucky, there were three towers that made up the shops of the marketplace. He suddenly heard some strange grunts and whines. Turned to Bolt, leaning down, getting eye level with the dog, and placing the scooter on the ground.
"Bolt, I really don't want to carry around this scooter so we're going to have to grab a bag." He said looking at the dog somewhat worriedly. "But before we do, is something wrong?" Fearon looked to the dog, a hint of worry in his eyes. Not only was he worried about the strange noises the dog had made, but there was a hint of confusion in the dogs eyes.
"I know we're both anxious to find her, but we have to make sure we are both okay. You weren't hurt in the fight were you?"

Well this was odd... Fearon was leaning down near Bolt to talk to him one on one. Apparently he had heard the grunts and whines that Bolt had made trying to recreate the P sound. But how could he respond? Sure, everything was fine, aside from the fact that he was in a brand new world, now has his TV show super powers, and somehow might be able to speak like a human, but that is a lot of things that wasn't fine. And he couldn't even respond the way he wanted to. Too many barks would probably confuse Fearon, and too few wouldn't be enough. It was very confusing.
Bolt managed to shake his head no to the question on if something was wrong. He wasn't sure how he had made a sound that sounded like a human before, but he did. However, when the question came about if he was injured came along, Bolt almost started laughing, if he could. Bolt couldn't get hurt. If he really got his powers back from the show, then he was invincible. Granted... he wasn't invincible, but he could think he was. He wanted to speak like a human, and make it easier for him... But he realized that he would only want to speak with Fearon for right now. Having a talking dog running around the streets would certainly freak people out, and Bolt didn't quite want that right now. So he would bark twice, hoping to show that he was fine and ready to go. This friendship certainly grew... fast...

Fearon stared at the dog as it shook it's head. "Okay." He said. "Well, let's go to the accessories shop. We can get a bag there." Fearon said and stood.
He looked around and then spotted his target. He walked the distance, and up to the counter. The clerk seemed like a teen, not much younger than Fearon, maybe by three, four years he guessed.
Can I help you?
"Yes, I need a bag, colour doesn't matter, it just needs to be durable." He said. The man nodded and disappeared behind the counter. He reappeared with a backpack that was red on the back, and black on the sides. This okay? The teen asked. Fearon took the bag and looked it over. It would do.
"This's fine." He said "How much?"
Fifty munny. "Hmm, cheap. Fearon said, digging in his pocket, and bringing out fifty munny. He paid the teen and leaned down putting the scooter in the bag.
He looked to Bolt and smiled.
((If you notice, it's just like Penny's, or the closest desription I could get.))

Bolt followed Fearon into the store. He wasn't sure what it was that he was doing in the store, but Fearon needed a bag, so Bolt followed him waiting for something to happen. There was all sorts of things in the accessory shop, yet nothing for Bolt. Hopefully they wouldn't be too long in getting this bag. Bolt just wanted to get back to finding Penny, despite the fact that their search had only been going on for a short time. He knew that he would find her shortly, or maybe it was that he just hoped they would...
Just then, Bolt looked up at Fearon and the bag he was holding. Wait... That bag... it looked familiar... Penny! It was Penny's bag! Or at least one identical to it. Barking anxiously at the bag, he was trying to get Fearon's attention in regards to the bag. Hopefully Fearon would understand what he was trying to say. So many memories came from that bag, and Bolt was unsure as to how this shop managed to get a similar bag to hers. It didn't have her scent on it, so it had to be an identical one, but still... The bag that Penny had came from a completely different world. Just what kind of universe did he live in?

Fearon looked to Bolt as he stuffed the scooter in his new bag.
"What?" He asked, and turned around, the clerk wasn't even there anymore, there was nothing. He looked around, no heartless, no nobodies.
He looked back to Bolt. What could've caused him to start barking like this He thought. "What?" He asked. Bolt is an intellegent dog. He wouldn't jsut start barking randomly, there had to be something that set it off, what was new to their enviroment... the bag? Fearon looked to it.

Bolt barked twice, as if in acknowledgement for the words "the bag". It was a similar bag to Penny's. Now all he needed to do was to get Fearon to realize that it was something that was linked to Penny. No one was around, not a single person, nor any of those odd creatures. Bolt looked around, trying to find a pile of dirt or something that could spell out the word Penny. All the while, he was thinking of her name, trying to find something.
As he did it, those odd grunts and whines came back as he, subconciously, started trying to say the word Penny. If Fearon listened carefully, the P sound could be heard again, just slightly. There was no dirt... no... anything to write something. How could he do it? "Pe..." Bolt said, quietly and unknowingly. What could he use? "Pen..." There was nothing around... "Penn..." No dirt, no liquids... nothing he could use without his heat vision. "Penny..." He said, finally, still not knowing that he had done it.
Finally, he stopped looking around... There was nothing he could use here, so he would have to hope that Fearon could figure it out. "Penny..." He said again, still unknowingly, though slightly louder, now able to be heard by Fearon easily. Still, no one was around to hear it, but now... Bolt had spoken in the language of a human, and he didn't even know that he had done it...

Fearon's jaw slowly dropped as heard it.
Pen... Penn,,, Penny
Fearon couldn't speak, he couldn't move, he even had to remind himself to breathe. All he could do was stare at the pacing dog.
The pacing talking dog. The dog had spoke. Spoke! Fearon suddenly broke out of his amazement and looked down at the bag... Penny's bag. This must be Penny's! Fearon thought to himself. He grabbed Bolts head and stared into the dogs eyes.

Looking at Fearon, Bolt wondered why he was so speechless, and why he looked so amazed. What had just happened that caused him to do that? But when a question was asked by Fearon, Bolt was the one who was confused. Bolt had done something? What did he do? Looking back at Fearon, Bolt shook his head no slightly, with a confused look in his eye. He knew this was wasting time. But they would need to figure this out so they could move on. So he waited for Fearon to respond to the shake that Bolt had made.
No, he knew that he had heard Bolt talk If he could get Bolt to realize and master this new ability, it would save them precious time in the future.
"Bolt. You just did exactly what I'm doing now, you spoke human tongue. You spoke... can you do it again?" He asked, ninety-nine percent certain that if Bolt didn't know he did, then Fearon was nuts.
Post by Jason Arilani on Apr 12, 2009 0:22:23 GMT -4
Bolt... spoke... human tongue? How was that even possible? Bolt was a dog. He could speak to animals and the like, but not to humans. Only barks, grunts, growls, and whines could be heard by humans. What was Fearon talking about?
Wait... the P sound that was heard on the train... did Bolt make that sound again, and then say even more? He wasn't sure... But he had to try it again. When he heard the word "speak", Bolt figured that he wasn't talking about the superbark, so he worked on saying Penny's name again. Those odd grunts and whines came from his mouth again. Just then, the P sound came back. Bolt was sure of it.
Focusing more on the name, Bolt continued trying to say it. "P.... Pen... Penny.... I... sa... said....... Penny....." He said, saying even more words now. It was as if he was a baby learning a new language, but he was able to say the words correctly. He then looked back at Fearon, trying to see if he did it right. If he could truly speak like a human, he wouldn't want to do it with other humans around unless they knew about it before hand, and were as understanding as Fearon was. So if the clerk happened to come back, he would be quiet, not wanting him to hear it. Though the store was still empty at this current moment.
A huge smile lite up Fearon's face. "Yes! That's it!" Fearon said excitedly, as if it was his childs first words. "Bolt! You spoke! Way to go!"
Fearon's smile persisted, even as the clerk walked back behind the counter and cocked his eyebrow at Fearon. Sir, are you okay? Fearon stood turning around.
"Yeah! I'm great!" He looked down to Bolt, and forced the smile to leave, he regained he composure. "Okay, well, we got what we came for. Be seeing ya!" Fearon said as he shouldered the bag and walked out the store waving over his shoulder.
Out of the store Fearon looked around making there was no one around. The perimeter was secure. He knelt down eye level with Bolt, and scruffled his ears.
"That was wonderful!" He said. "Can you try to say anything else?"
Post by Jason Arilani on Apr 12, 2009 1:00:09 GMT -4
So... Bolt could talk, huh? Well... that would certainly be a fun trick to show Penny... Penny... Bolt had forgotten that they needed to find her. But they were finally leaving the store. Had Fearon found out what he wanted? Well... Hopefully he had. Bolt was ready to go find Penny again. Running out of the store, Bolt sniffed around, trying to catch Penny's scent...
Wait... what? More?! Fearon wanted him to say more?! Well that was annoying... Looking up at Fearon, Bolt suddenly felt like he could talk like a fluent English speaker. "Yeah, I can say more... I can also say... Can we go find Penny? You know... My person?" He said, sounding slightly angry, but then realizing what he had just done. Looking down for a second, out of remorse, Bolt said "I'm sorry... Fearon... Also... Keep in mind... I don't want to talk like this in front of other... humans... They wouldn't understand..."
He then looked back up at Fearon. "Oh... and don't tell me to speak... That is a command for a whole different thing." He said, referring to the super bark. If he had all of these superdog powers, then his super bark was bound to be one as well. People started to walk around the marketplace now, and so Bolt wouldn't say another word. He was ready to get going, hoping that Fearon was too.
