In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

"That's not the proper way to ask Relena. After all your heartless is in need of help not mine, and no...I'm not." Let it be none that Elaeus isn't a servant to do every order, especially those in lower ranks. Although he may be lenient, he isn't one to be bossed around; the Heartless have limitations.
"Am I wrong?" The Heartless looked towards the feline heartless, then back to its mistress. It seemed that they weren't looking in the right direction with this. A heartless can only act as a heartless. Scorplions would just be easy target practice for warriors built to and thrilled to slay heartless. Some even do it for a living.
"Your heartless doesn't need to study moves of another heartless. If so then it wouldn't be prepared at all by a long shot of the obvious opponents it may go against. You should know that many people are thrilled to slay a heartless as well as particular heartless enjoys bloodshed of mortals. It needs something more human-like. A human can imput diverse attacks; attacks that your heartless needs to learn to avoid."

So what, he was just suggesting that they used a human? Relena wasn't really into that suggestion. Shahrivar looked at her blankly and she could tell that even it was surprised that it hadn't thought of that before. Nothing was perfect and she wondered if this was going to be one of the 99 percentile of Scorplions that died within the first month of being born. Human... she could use an animal. She was absolutely terrified of rats and mice, and they could help to sharpen the senses of her Heartless. Of course her Heartless resembled a Lynx, so why shouldn't she use rodents? She was sure that like most cats they would love the thrill of the chase.
As she glanced briefly at Shahrivar to see its opinion it's face hadn't changed. 'What's a... rat and a mice?' it asked her with a hint of confusion in its voice. To the Scorplion, it might think that the rat and the mouse were the specific group of people that enjoyed to shred apart a Heartless. Shahrivar twitched its tail nervously--an obvious sign that her guess was correct. 'Why, if they're trying to kill me, would you bring one here?' it asked confused. After what seemed to be a few minutes of silence between the whole group, the Scorplion finally understood what Relena was saying after she explained to him.
'You may think that they're sharpening my senses, but what you don't understand is the fact that I'm not going to be up against some animal with two dull teeth as its weapon. These... people that choose to slay us, I think they're going to rather be carrying around swords or spears or even powers to rid us of them.' Great, so she was out of ideas? To that Shahrivar shook his head and Relena looked to Elaeus to see if he knew. As she looked to him, her eyes widened. "So Elaeus, you're offering yourself up for battle?" she asked with another one of her trademark smirks.

Elaues could somewhat tell the hinting signs behind the silent messages. Relena and the scorplion looked towards one another unexpectedly. His sigh was too soft to be heard by human ears as he waited. They were going to converse about this as the proposal switched what Relena had originally planned. His arms crossed over his chest as the pair continued their conversation, while he relaxed himself waiting for them to come to the conclusion he thought.
An eye peaked to see the creature shook his head. Whether it was in defeat or something else was unknown at the moment, but soon he felt Relena's eyes on him. Her eyes widened, and he chuckled. His fingers ran through his hair with a soft laughter.
"It took you that long, but I'm not only offering myself. You too should help your heartless. It should get used to the varities of weaponry. No matter how many they are it tends to be a part of either one or bother categories: long or close range.Your spheres are used for long distance attacks, while I have to be in close range. Any questions, comments, concerns?" A brow perked, while his eyes went from Relena to her scorplion. "You may think both us fighting your heartless is unneccesary, but in this time of life people are hardly alone and tend to walk in numbers. They aren't oblivious of our existence."
"Are either of you two ready, or do you need time contemplating?"

If Relena had ears they would have flattened down as she sighed. So now she had to fight against her own Heartless? What a total kill joy. Shahrivar leveled the look Elaeus gave it and Relena could definitely hear the words 'Bring it' without even trying to. She looked over to Elaeus as well now and nodded. "I'm ready, but I'm not letting this Scorplion fight, can I summon up two more?" she had just begun to close her mouth when she added in, "They don't travel alone either." Shahrivar walked back and turned to look at a rather large mushroom, much like the one Elaeus was sitting under recently. It shook its paws as if they were number and circled around the stalk until it found a good spot and laid down.
Relena didn't wait for an answer and called out in her mind for two more Scorplions. They came much slower than she expected, but she figured that it would get better in time. They looked at her and both lowered their tails but she shook her head and spoke aloud, not yet knowing if they were somewhat telepathic. "You'll be fight against me and this man here today, we need to train you in battle." Almost immediately they nodded and she walked over to where Elaeus was standing as the two Scorplions took their spots opposite of them.
From behind them came a whistling sound and about 17 spheres burst through the trees. She knew this fight was going to be easy, and was glad that she didn't have to pull out her twentieth sphere in front of Elaeus. "We are here to train them Elaeus, not kill them. Got it?" Again her eyes flashed and her voice was more commanding, but if she didn't sound like she was in charge, Elaeus would merely chuckle and run his fingers through his hair again and would only annoy her more. As she got ready for the fight, Shahrivar walked casually into the ring and joined the other Scorplions. Two both he just as casually added. 'Well how else am I going to become a better Scorplion?'

This doesn't surprise me...
His fingers flexed as darkness circled his fingers forming into his extended tiger claws. The trio blades were a foot long and stood straight as his fingers encased the handles into a tight fist. His eyes softened towards the lone scorplion who sat away from them. A brow arched at this profound and not carefully hidden protectiveness. He glanced at Relena. Why was she so determined to make the scorplions stronger if she didn't want to strengthen the one before him? What it less of important to grow than the others or the direct opposite to keep it guarded from fighting the two?
"Relena you aren't one to give orders. Got it? And if you are so adamant in having them trained and not slaying them at all, then why is the other segregated from the rest. It's a scorplion after all or is it a kitten? It's no time to be playing Mother Goose, Relena." His tone was dead serious like a growling canine threatening to bite. "You wouldn't want to be casted aside away from the oppurtunity to be stronger. Even I know you distaste being looked upon as easily manipulated and weak. Your heartless may even feel the same way."
"After all they are a portion of you." From the corner of his eyes, he could see the retired scorplion rise and move up with the other two.
"Let's see how agile you are in dodging...." Elaeus' lithe body was built for speed as he started towards with a run. No he wasn't going to go out 110%, but much less to not catch them too off guard. They need to gain the concept of dodging and moving. Doing his all will only slay them easily and quickly. The Heartless went down the center with his claws crossing his chest. Majority of the attack was towards the Scorplion in the middle. His hands crossed swiftly to be seen before spreading out like wings.

He made her blood boil so much. What the hell was his deal? She actually wanted people to think she was weak. He totally ignored what she had said about not killing them and he straight-on attacked Shahrivar. She quickly set out a message to the three. 'Shahrivar, come over by me, dodge left but fake right and keep your tail down so it doesn't catch his blades. You other two, I want you,' she thought as she sent the message to just one, 'to drop on a knee and thrust your tail blade forward at him. And you,' she said to the last Scorplion, 'I need you to leap up at him over the first Scorplion, but keep your claws down over your belly. If he attacks at you, roll into a summersault and thrust your tail at him from the side.
Shahrivar acted instantly and started to shift to the right. Just when it though it was convincing enough to Elaeus Shahrivar jutted forward to the left and let his tail hang to the left of him, away from Elaeus. The Scorplion dug his claws into the grass and began to pull out big tufts of it as it gained more speed. Rather than stopping as it neared Relena, it bared its teeth and sprung at her. The second Scorplion dropped on both knees rather than one not knowing that it would later make it harder for it to stand up faster later. It thrust its tail forward, blade side toward Elaeus and snarled fiercely. The third Scorplion hopped over the second and tried diverting the Dark XII member's attention.
Relena never expected Shahrivar to attack her and this was a big surprise. She put out an arm and suddenly steel covered it as her spheres came out from the inside of her sleeve where she had stored the 17 earlier. It took about 6 of them to protect her skin from the claws, and the other 11 dropped on the ground. "Steel drops!" she called out boldly as she flung Shahrivar off of her wrists and claps her hands together. The sphere shot up toward Shahrivar and the Heartless tried to block using its tail. Sadly it wasn't a sword coming at the Heartless but a bunch of tiny, high-speed spheres.
She felt about six of them hit, and only one was deflected by the tail, the other four missed completely. Shahrivar winced as each one hit its chest cavity and each went through. They came out the other side and Shahrivar no longer looked proud and fearless. Relena could see now that the Scorplions needed a lot more work. She ran to its side and stood over it as Shahrivar was struggling to breathe. She wondered what she could do to help and the Scorplion shook its head meaning that there was no help. Before she could do anything else, the Heartless melted away into darkness.
Relena cared, but not enough to look sad as Shahrivar died. It was a Heartless and there would be more where that came from, and besides, now was not a time to lose her guard. She stood up and began giving more commands to the Scorplions until one growled to her and said, 'Leave us alone, we need to learn by ourselves.' She nodded but stood by with a straight face on and her arms crossed. But if one looked in her eyes they could plainly see from them that she was worried about how this battle was going to turn out.

His eyes tried to drink in as much of the scene of the opponents before him, but it was a given that there will always be a blind spot no matter how attentive he tried to be. The Scorplions looked too much alike, but his mind gave them names by numbers. His head turns at the first sight of movement; a scorplion shifted to the right, but darted past him with the blade tucked away from a good strike to capture it between the claws.
Remain focus
By simply turning his head, he left a greater blind spot until a sound wiggled through the earth, which alerted him quickly. A creature lowered his angle as his scorpion tail rised up for a strike. His claws were drawn close together like a pair of scissors to catch the blade between six. With complete control over the trapped blade her brought it down and yanked it towards him.
A snarl was given in return showing the lack of intimidation from the creature. The Earth made a slight sound as an object pushed off of it. A heartless jumped over the trapped second. The Heartless side stepped over; he would use the other's blade to block or attack the other if needed, but an absense of a presence and a scent of a heart caught his attention.
Taking a glance, he could see a puddle of darkness seeping into the ground. So much for not killing and training... Crystalline eye reflected the light from the sun, while looking at Relena, then at her heartless; it growled at her. Thrusting the blade aside, Elaeus backed away with his twin trio blades pointing up. "Again." He beckoned the heartless to move.

Two left and the Scorplions began to plot. One would take the left, the other would take the right. One tail would strike the left, the other the right. One would claw at Elaeus from the front, the other at the back. They would stay away from Relena because she was shocked at this point and would not do any harm to them. They would take advantage of this. The first Scorplion charged, and the second followed close on its heels. The attacked Elaeus differently than planned, but still well. They confused the claws up and both aimed for what was easiest, the back. However, both tails swung for the left and right sides of Elaeus.
Relena was standing there and watching. Some how she became a part of the peanut gallery but really didn't care. She could see some mistakes with the Scorplions and would help to fix those later. But for now they were directly charging at Elaeus, which was a stupid move because he could easily crush one of them by dropping a rock on one. She was surprised that he had not used his power yet and figured that maybe he really was trying not to kill them. It really didn't matter now that Shahrivar was dead, but she continued to watch, to try and see who would win. It was in Elaeus' favor most likely.

(Don't worry about it)
Elaeus smirked; finally they were thinking and cultivating thoughts and plans. How could he tell? They were delaying. His blades reflected light from the sun, while he kept a close watch on them. They were the remainders and wouldn't allow himself to be thrown off guard. After all he was suppossed to teach them, so the Heartless had to be a stimulation to not be too easy and yet not difficult.
He grinned, while watching him run at him. It wasn't long to see a formation as he became th cream filling between two chocolate oreo cookies. Never get trapped between opponents. Taking a chance on his toes, he manueved forward, while keeping his blades up to protect from any side attacks. His clothing knicked at the claws that momentarily caught them. Now his back was towards his opponents.
Blind Spots.. The Heartless pivot on his foot to face the twin scorplions. Lunging forward, his arms delivered dragging slashes across the scorplion's face. Six blades from his tiger claws designed the head, while Elaeus took a half step back. The blade was thrust forward, but never made contact. It was only a warning at how easily he could pierce and pontential kill.

The two Scorplions howled in pain as small scratches appeared on their masks--their weak spots. Relena thought if someone had a weak spot, they would have tried their best to hide it but one Scorplion continued to howl even after the other one stopped. The one that had stopped was now staring at the blade pointed only about an inch away its face. While the other was howling, the one began to examine the tiger claws instead of walking away. The first seemed rather interested in the metal they were made of and how the Earth Titan could have such a weapon. The other continued to howl.

Elaeus growled lowly as their attention span drained away. The snarl sounded like cracking boulder. With a glare, he slashed an upper cut at the one who decided staring was more important than a defense. The Heartless swiftly moved as the deed was done. Whether the victim moved, evaded, or blocked the attack, Elaues didn't care to find out. If it did kudos for that scorplion. The attack wasn't a lethal one, but another warning to pay attention. The Scorplions were loosing it, and the howling one was driving his nerves.
"Collect yourselves." The Heartless demanded the pair. His arms crossed over his arms, while his annoyance faded and his patience returned. They might not have been his heartless, but someone needed to tell them. "Your wear your weakness on your face, and now you know of it and so do I. Learn to defend yourself. You have that blade of a tail for a reason, so use it."
Giving them a moment, Elaeus whistled a silent whistle and darkness pooled on the ground. He wouldn't start them with Gaia today. Like the scorplions they walk on fours, so they would be useless for this particular lesson of defense. Instead round black heads with antennas sprouting from the tops wiggled out the pit. There circular yellow eyes blinked before leaping into view. They were shadows, the typical and weakest heartless.
No Elaeus wasn't downsizing the scorplions, but he rather not summon the Neoshadows. They are under Ienzo, who acts more motherly of them than Relena to her first Scorplion. "They will help you." The Earth Titan turned from the heartless to Relena. "Is it possible for you to mend their scratches with your own steal or are such damages are permanent?"
While he waited for an answer, he spoke to the shadows in their nature dialect to concentrate attacking the heartless face as much as possible. Their attacks may not be as destructive as Elaeus, but soon the scorplions should get the idea of the excercise.
