In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

One second the Heartless was examining the blade and the next it was coming at its face. Relena could honestly say that she didn't expect what happened next. The Scorplion expertly caught the blade in-between its four teeth, though it was slicing into its gums, and held it there so that Elaeus couldn't pull it out. The one that used to be howling was now charging at Elaeus with its tail hanging over its head. The tail was cutting the air in front of it, but there would no longer be air there as it was heading straight for Elaeus' out-stretched arm. The second that Elaeus tried moving his free arm, the Scorplion would tuck its tail in and then thrust it at the Earth Titan's stomach and hopefully catch him off-guard.

Elaues smirked at his trapped tiger claws. It wasn't mocking, but impressed. His arm pulled back, but the blade didn't budge, until he flicked his wrist up to plunge the blades deeper into the gum's. Some pain will come out of battle. The thrust wasn't enough to cut through the skull. His purpose was to train them no slay.
He could've attacked me right here, right when I'm open.
Padded paws echoed through the Earth, and his head turned to see the oncoming scorplion. His brow arched as his question was answered. Sure, it was smart of them, but the one who held his blades could've easily finished his opponent right not if they was in such similar position.
Let them have it or evade.... Elaues could easily let them win now by simply staying to be in a defensive position, or he could easily let go of the trapped weapon and move away from the trap. Which would benefit them more? To him, this wasn't about winning or loosing, but teaching. Would a teacher left them off the hook easily or make them strive for it.
Taking his chance, Elaues departed from his trapped blade and side-rolled to give him a difference from the scorplions. Standing up straight, he applauded light, while summoning his tiger claws back on his wrist. "Great teamwork."
On a silent cue, the shadows traveled along the soil before pouncing up at the pair. Their were only six of them, three for each scorplion. Shadows weren't so scheming like their bretherens the Neo-Shadows. They were commanded to attack the mask, and they will try their hardest including crawling in the creature's shadow.

The Scorplion winced as the blade dug deeper into its gums and loosened his grip on the blade. Immediately the blade left its mouth and it ran its tongue along the wound. The second fell onto the ground and stood up again with its tail poised. They watched as Elaeus summoned up six Shadows and their haunting eyes sparked to life. The feel of another Heartless brought forth into the ring--not as powerful as Elaeus, but something that was weaker--made them dance with anticipation. Their blades seemed sharper and the wounded Scorplions bared their teeth.
Relena looked at him as though she had now realized that he had spoken to her. The reason was clear as she displayed the bright red bottle of nail polish set atop the grass. Right now she was blowing on them to make them dry, but paused to answer Elaeus' question. "No I cannot heal them with my steel. My spheres can only stay in sphere form and ordinary steel is much harder to shape with the proper tools." Of course she was lying about her not being about to shape her spheres, but if she did use it to heal the mask, she would be out of weapons in no time, and she would rather have her Heartless die than herself.

(XD lol Relena's life > Scorplion's life)
Elaues' nose wrinkled the sharpness of the nail polish could've pontentially made his nose bleed. He distaste such sharp smells, which was reasonings why he was never interested in alcoholic drinks. "I see....You can't with your own, but can you with there's. Steel is steel after all or does it have to be closely connected with you to manipulate." He only asked for the conditions of the scorplions, which seemed that he cared more than their owner, hopefully not. It would be unfortunate to train them and send them off with damages.
The shadows wiggled underneath the scorplions before leaping from the ground to attack the mask. No matter if they seemed to be running towards their deaths, they were under orders and commands. No matter, Elaeus will capture their hearts or they will consumed again to become shadows again.

((Hookie!))
She looked at him oddly as she noticed his distaste for the smell of something. She realized moments later that it was the nail polish and smirked. "I can't control the way steel mends, just which way it goes. If you ask me to rip their masks off with a flick of my wrist, sure thing, but not control how they mend or shift." With that she gave him another look, but this one more of a serious one while the Scorplions fought. There were expecting the Shadows, but not for the shadows to jump at their masks. They slashed at them and already she just felt the presence of four Shadows. Boy, were they ever making her proud.

Elaeus peered over his shoulders and turned towards the Scorplion. The four remaining shadows walked underneath the Scorplions paws. A pair jumped out underneath the Scorplions to lash at their mask as the remaining jumped over the heartless' heads to attack the mask from above. Their claws were moving in wild fury under order. They lacked the usual desire to steal the heart, since it was already corrupted. He noticed that their verocity was only hieghtened because he demanded it out of them.
His eyes flicked up to see a pair of traveling hearts before they warped into a dark portal. Elaeus folded his arms over his chest as he casted the two hearts into the eternal realm of darkness. The scorplions shall be through with the last four soon. He was sure that they were merely toying with them like a cat to a mouse.
Elaues twitched with a shiver, and the earth seemed to do the same. A green head sprouted from the earth followed by a slim green neck. Like a pop, yellow hair popped from the center as a green head stood out in the middle with big round high yellow eyes. A crooked grin stretched and the Creeper Plant cried awake. It screech awakened seven others. They swayed like snakes, but stopped with a shiver. They seemed to be charging in energy.
"Now you both will learn how to avoid and block. Be aware."
Two seeds glistening in a lime green fluid was spat from each flower. They giggled before wiggling a bit. Their roots were moving before penetrating from the soil to test their stabbing mechanism. The scorplions better be light on their feet like a feline. They will have to dodge attacks, while avoid an attack from below them.

Cat and Mouse it was. In no time there were no longer any remains of the Shadows, except for the arm hanging out of one of the Scorplion's mouths. Now seven Creeper Plants popped up and poisonous seeds began to head straight for the Scorplions. They looked blankly at them but hopped into action right away. They poised their tails forward and prepared to block the seeds rather than dodging. But even when they tried going back-to-back it seemed that they wouldn't be able to fend them off. A seed hit one in the side and it went down, not yet dead but almost there. The second looked completely helpless but was still blocking them.
And then... there was suddenly a third, and by the time Relena noticed that there was, about half of the Creeper Plants' numbers had dropped and another Heartless was doing down as she watched. It was another Scorplion, but this one seemed more advanced in fighting and capable of seeing through the enemy's tactics. While the one fought, the other two began to regain themselves and then they began to fight as well. She could now identify who the Scorplions were due to how they moved. The one that limped was the weakest, the third Scorplion, the one that had a scar over its mask like the letter J in a row three times was Scorplion number two. The one that fought expertly and just killed another Heartless was... Shahrivar. He was back.

"Hm...."
Elaeus watched them mobilize. They watch or at least gaze at their opponent before moving into action. Finally they were using their blades as a defense to the seeds, but they would need to find a new method. If they were to be surrounded, they would most likely survive with a swift manuever and attacks. One was shot in the side, and it collasped on point leaving the remainder on his lonesome to defend.
A whiff, a scent, spinned past his nose. The dark signature was difficult to narrow done since their was enough presence of darkness; dying shadows, creeper plants, and scorplions. A motion blur moved along his peripheral vision, but soon the creature came into view followed by the silent cries of the defeat Creeper Plants.
The surviving Creeper Plants hissed and sent their roots to stab the scorplion's from below. They targeted the weakest with the attack from under ground, while bouncing and sway. The most determined one that knocked their numbers down would be next. In unison, four seeds were coming at them, while roots wiggled below to puncture it's flesh.
Elaues grabbed a hankerchief (msp) out of his pocket to clean his blades. A fleshy substance stained it; it was from one of the scorplion's gum, which one he didn't know.
"This should be over soon...," the Heartless muttered softly.

Shahrivar turned and pricked up its ears at something Relena was sure that only it could hear. It leapt out of the way as root shot up under where it had once been, and the second Scorplion followed suit but the third stumbled and fell and it was like a repeat. Instead of going into a portal though, it was like evaporating and all that remained was a floating heart. Relena reached out to snatch it but before she could it was lost in a portal that she felt go to the realm of darkness. Her look turned into of one of complete anger as she gave Elaeus a look.
Shahrivar flattened its body against the ground as two poisonous seeds sailed over its head and lunged forward at a Creeper Plant as it began to lean forward to shoot more roots at it. The second Scorplion rolls to the side and pounced at two Creeper Plants as it preformed an attack where it furiously whipped its tail around. Two more died and that just left one Creeper Plant left and two Scorplions to fight it off. Just Shahrivar and the scarred one.

Oh, pooh, a series of unfortunate events was unraveling with this training session. In truth wanted the weakest to live. It would give him a reason to use the small vials of potion in his pocket that his fingers would toy with. Idly with mild interest, he watched the heart re-enter the realm of darkness.
"Give it time Relena. It will return." Why did he shrugged her anger off? He didn't feel any ties towards the heartless' death, and actually thought it would survive, but it seemed he put too much thought into the weaker one. He whistled and a dark portal opened. "Go find it." A misty snort of dust was given and the portal warped until it was a small dot, then popped from existence.
The lone Creeper Plant looked around weerily as more hearts rained up into the sky. In desperation, it started to spit more seeds and stab more of its roots from below.

The last Heartless was frantically trying to defeat the Scorplions but Shahrivar was feeling amused. It easily jumped over the spiky roots and deflected the seeds with its tail and then flexed its claws forward. And just like that, Relena could see the claws enter the Creeper Plant's stalk and then come out the other side. Shahrivar didn't hesitate at all and severed the Heartless in two just a quick. The roots faded away as did the Heartless' body and the two Scorplions stepped back victoriously.
Before Elaeus could summon up anymore Relena stood up and looked to him. "If you are to summon up anymore Heartless, they better be Gaia's or else." She knew Elaeus would say something to her about bossing her around so she quickly added, "You've been summoning up all the Heartless you want, now it's time to see where they rank." Shahrivar looked at her and suddenly there was the familiar voice, If you wish, I can summon up my pack. Relena nodded to him and around her 5 more Scorplions appeared, one-by-one, each showing a different personality in their mind.

"Techincally I haven't summon all the heartless I want. The Shadows use attacks like my tiger blades, while the Creeper Plants' seeds are somewhat like your spheres. How about you think for once, and what is this else you speek of?" Elaeus' perked. "Be happy that I am helping. I could've easily slay your heartless."
A dark portal rippled with a dull glow pink hue. A canined stepped out of it with clicking coal claws. It's legs weren't as skeletal as it had a layer of solid black mass with luminious streaks of bubbling red. The layer stretched out like muscles along the canine entire body. It ears twitched, and its lips raised showing the heart in its mouth. It snort was warm as it nuzzles Elaeus' hand. The Heartless' fingers reached in the creature's mouth to grip the heart. It was warm and buzzing with life. He blew darkness on it and let it float to the ground to take shape.
Gaia let out a long low howl, while walking about the clearing. The Earth shifted a bit softly. "Plus there rank against fellow heartless doesn't matter, but their strength against their opponents including all of those who kill heartless for a living and for kicks."

Did he ever piss her off. Her usually 'cocky' self was gone and her glare grew deeper and darker until Shahrivar looked at Elaeus and just felt sympathetic for the Heartless. Relena's dark mood got the other Scorplions excited because already they could tell that their master would take no mercy on Elaeus. Shahrivar stepped forward to be at his master's side and looked at Gaia carefully. Its attacks must be Earth-based due to the fact that the ground was shaking ever-so-slightly.
To test this Heartless, Shahrivar knew that it had to send out another Scorplion first. This pack that used to have 8 Scorplions was now going to go down to 6 and all because of this rival Heartless. Shahrivar didn't think this was right, and knew it was taking a gamble at what it was about to do, but stepped forward. Its eyes spoke with, 'Don't hurt me, I'm not the enemy.' What sickened Shahrivar was the fact that it could be out stealing hearts right now, but was stuck fighting some pointless battle.

Gaia scanned over the group of scroplions with a sway of her black and red bubbly tail. It's body seemed to leak with it like pus emitting from a pimple. It dipped down in a downwards dog for a stretch before standing back up calmly next to her master. She too wasn't fazed by Relena's temper tamptrum. Instead, her head titled like a curious pup listening to a dog's whistle for the first time.
"Stop being such a prima dona." Elaeus replied to her glare blanker than a void in pace. He didn't fear off what she might pull of. What is the worse she could do besides send steel into a matterless frame. His eyes lightly landed on the alpha scorplion as he approached Gaia.
The heartless replied in a low grumble from the pit of her stomach. It was a questioning tone not an aggressive growl. Nor was I under command to make ye one. I was only summoned to bring back the heart. One of ye comrades yes? Her head slightly leaned to the right indicating the soft dimly lit pink heart that nestled in the cut grass. Darkness pooled around it, and the canine heartless growled lowly. Her red eyes that gleamed like the ruby on her forehead narrowed in the direction. In response the pool of shadows left. She was strictly business. I advise ye to take it now if ye want it back, or others will make it their owns. If ye wish to abandon it, I shall take it in as a pup of my own. The choice is yours.
By her tone, it was clear that the heartless wasn't interested in Elaeus' and Relena's little moment. She sent an image to the alpha feline of them the two masters resembling a quarreling pair, a cat and a dog. Gaia would ask what's the fuss was about. What could they possibly be going at it about? Have ye made up ye mind?

Shahrivar was enraged by the Heartless' nerve. If its master had summoned it up for something, it would not be standing there and just looking at the questionable people by it like they were nothing. Instead of answering Gaia, the Scorplion kept its defenses up high but walked over to where Elaeus was. This was the third-in-command's heart and if they revived it again then it would be awhile, but they would have the old third-in-command once again. We Scorplions do not abandon our comrades. Shahrivar sent to Gaia as it extended its claws to their full extent.
Hearts were such a gentle thing, if you made one fatal cut or scratch on them then it would be damaged forever. This heart was strong and no doubt taken from a fierce fighter. Shahrivar's own heart was one taken from a noble fighter, and now look at how it turned out. Carefully it wrapped the claws around the heart like a cage. The sharp tips met together at the top and did not touch the beautiful organ. The smooth sides of its claws that were designed for puncturing skin and sliding in deeper nestled the heart gently. Shahrivar was repulsed that this canine-like heartless even carried it in their slimy jaws.
