In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Apologies to Spatacus for just dragging you into a thread without your consent or knowing. However, I feel a slight amused need for this to take place-- after all... Sora has been wanting to prove Riku wrong at any opportune moment.
White... cold... ice... and it covered just about everything in this place. It definitely wasn't to Riku's liking, as the silver-haired teen was used to the temperate, sandy beaches of the Destiny Islands from which he was raised upon. This winter wonderland just wasn't Riku's cup of tea-- actually, a nice, warm cup of tea sounded really good at the moment.
Giving a long exhale, his breath turning to steam in the frigid air, Riku shoved his black gloved hands into his newly formed jacket pockets. The outfit that this world provided wasn't to the silver-haired teen's fancy either-- all black with white furred hems... hnh, it was like something out of those fashion magazines that the girls at school read in their free time. The jacket was relatively baggy, though-- a good thing. The clasps upon it were in the shape of 'X's that ran down the left front side to keep the jacket closed on him.
Walking ahead some and spotting himself in a frosted window of one of the buildings, Riku paused and scowled at how it was he looked. As far as he was concerned, he thought he looked like a tall, rebel elf-- sans the pointed ears. If he and Sora had a 'nice' place to talk privately, Riku was definitely going to give him somewhat of an earful-- this was just almost... almost crossing the lines of Riku's comfort level. It was the cap that seated itself upon his head that got at him.
"'I'll take you to meet Santa,' he says..." Riku muttered under his breath.
Ah... there was something about Christmas that just filled kid's hearts with joy, it wasn't even necessary for the season to be around, and yet even the thought of cookies, milk and gifts could bring smiles to faces. Kids didn't even have to be small to enjoy this season, oh no, Sora was living proof of that; he was a big kid alright, but that didn't mean he had to act serious and give up on one of the best holidays around; no sir!
There was something special about this small town, everything was so festive and alive. The snow was always just right for packing, the colorful lights were constantly running, and you could just hear those sleigh bells ringing and jing ting jingling too!
With this in mind, there was no surprise in the reaction that occurred when Riku had agreed to go on this trip with him. Now was one of the most opportune times to meet him, well, at least it was more opportune than December when Santa was preparing for the big trip. But... hey, if it made one more person believe in him, Sora was positive that he wouldn't mind all that much.
A grin on his face, the keyblader ran through the snow, creating a slight flurry where he stepped, each step causing him to sink into the snow ever so slightly. He didn't care though, a bit of snow in the boot never hurt anyone, it just made them a bit chilly for a bit. Sora had grown up on a beach, he was used to discomfort in his shoes, but he got used to it, sand was a troublesome thing, but it was just there and you learned to accept it. That was how it was on the Islands, it was the same here, though it just so happened the substance in question was nothing more than chilled water.
Parading through the town, he looked for Riku, wondering just how far off he could have gotten. He wasn't going to be too far from him, even though he had had a slight head start from when they agreed they were going to leave. Heh... maybe he was just so caught up in the spirit of things he forgot all about the fact it was courteous to wait.
As much as the brunet doubted it, he could've at least hoped it to be true.
Sora had come this time not in his Halloween Town outfit, but in the sleek Christmas outfit he had gotten from his earlier visits to the town. He hadn't seen it in some time, and frankly, it was comforting to lay eyes on once again; any kind of reminder of old times were good reminders.
What was that though... a large elf? Oh wait... was it--? It was...
An amused smirk crossed the young boys lips as he ran over, skidding to a stop in the snow, folding his arms over his chest smugly.
"Really getting into the spirit of things, aren't you?" he grinned.
Teasing was something that was common between the two. Riku would poke fun at Sora, Sora would poke back; it was the cycle that had been going on ever since they were small. Sadly, it was one of those things that they just couldn't break the habit of.
Hmm... I guess Spartacus maybe lost interest in the site? D; Foo... *goes to later bug Sage to pop in as Santa*
Cookies and milk... hnh... Riku had left them out when he was much, much younger -- before he started telling Sora that Santa wasn't real. There was just something that happened those many years ago that ruined his Christmases every time that they happened to roll around. He had always made sure to be a 'good boy' at those younger days, hoping that Santa would indeed get him what it was that was on his Christmas wish list. The years were okay... the first couple of times, anyways. When he turned six, that was around the time that he had found out that it wasn't Santa that was the one actually leaving the presents under the tree that had been chosen to decorate the family room.
So to Riku... Christmas was definitely not one of the best holidays around. It was just another day as far as he was concerned. Just another day with stupid and silly traditions of having to kiss if you stood under mistletoe, exchanging gifts and other festivities that he had somehow been dragged into (like one year how Sora had managed to convince him to join him and Kairi to making a gingerbread village).
The light jingling and the festive music that rang through the air made the silver-haired teen cringe inside as memories came back to him. If there was anything that he wanted done right here and now, it was to hurry up, do what they came here to do, leave. He had no intention of staying in the snow-covered, festive land that brought back not-so-pleasant memories from his childhood.
"Really getting into the spirit of things, aren't you?"
Taking his hands out of his pockets and folding his arms over his chest, Riku turned towards his friend with an unamused look painted onto his face and scoffed, "shut it, Sora..." he wasn't really into getting mixed up in the friendly quarrels that he and Sora got into all the time. He was more or less reminiscing over his thoughts and looking around the small place a little more.
He gave a sigh, his breath turning to steam once again in the frigid air.

((Don't blame me if it's butchered! D8))
Santa was in the process of doing his weekly list check as he stood in front of a brightly lit Christmas tree of the toy shop. It was odd for him to be doing such a thing here, but the smell of Christmas was in the air and he enjoyed seeing the elves work happily to make the nice boys and girls toys. "Samuel, nice. Alyssa, nice. Well it seems we're going to have another good year once again." Talking aloud to himself helped him think and get things done faster he liked to think. He went on announcing who was good and who was naughty, carrying a disapproving tone in his voice whenever he found that someone had been rather naughty that week.
A name made him go, "Oh... what have we here?" as it showed up on the list. In fresh black ink was the name of Sora and beside it were two empty boxes. Decision time it seemed, should he be on the naughty list or nice? At the age of 8 he did tell everyone that Santa wasn't real... but he also helped all those needy people against the Heartless. He put a gloved hand to his beard and stroked it thoughtfully. "Naughty or Nice? Nice or Naughty?"
>w> I think you mean Riku in that post... Sora never doubted! XD
Sora laughed; he couldn't help it, just... seeing Riku like this was just too much of an opportunity to pass up by trying to be serious about the whole thing. Sure, there was nothing wrong with the way he was dressed, heck, Sora was wearing basically the same thing... kind of. The whole reason was because it was... well... Riku! Wasn't this the guy that told Sora what was what and believed he was right, smug about things when he won? Hah! Sure didn't look like it!
"Shutting it," he said, trying to contain the last few laughs caught up in his stomach.
Looking around, he couldn't help but notice that things were still the same. The buildings weren't all that different, just with a new, fresher coat of paint, oh, and the merry-go-round was still there. Hm... wonder if they fixed it yet, probably not, being Santa and being Santa's elves was a year-round job, and a busy one on top of that.
Good to see that not much had changed over the last year and a bit.
Back to why Sora really had brought Riku here with him... Santa. He had to be around here somewhere, he was always on his feet, busy working, adjusting that loooooooong list, making sure everything's running smoothly. They'd run into him sooner or later, but for now, Sora just had to convince Riku to go along with meeting the guy.
"Heya, Riku," he nudged the teen, looking up at him. "So after seeing all this, do you still think I'm making the whole Santa thing up?"
"So after seeing all this, do you still think I'm making the whole Santa thing up?"
The silver haired teen gave a shrug of his shoulders and then walked forwards a bit, kicking at the snow. Admittedly, Riku could still say that he didn't believe Sora about Santa... but what would be the point in lying? Just to have that pride still show after so many years? Yeah, the teen didn't like being wrong... or proven wrong... but there was no way that he was right about everything... and he recognized this. However... to have something from his childhood shown to him in all of its splendor....
"I still have my doubts..." Riku said after a while. "This could just be a fancy, snow covered world. How do I know Santa is even here, huh?" A familiar smirk had found its way onto the teen's face again, and his stance changed into something that showed off his smugness.

((You are correct Cranlon, *Did not catch such a thing*))
"Santa?"
The elf's voice made Saint Nick turn his head to give his helper his full attention. "Yes? What is it?" he asked while still having his hand poised above the two boxes. He lifted his eyebrows as the elf informed him that there were people spotted in the middle of the town. Not just any people, but someone fitting the description of Sora. Yes, the brown spiky hair, it was all too familiar. The only part that troubled him was a description of a second person, silver hair, "Now who could that be?".
Of course being Santa Claus had its perks, he already had an idea in mind of just who it would be. He took off his cap and put on his 'outdoor' cap (Yes, there was indeed such a thing) and threw open the workshop door. Ahh, the cold air that met him when he did so, it made his cheeks rosy and his heart warm. He stepped out into the snow and began to walk to the center of the town, or where he hoped Sora would be.
Why was Riku so hard to convince!? Ugh, it made this whole process very... very annoying. The truth was all around him and yet he still doubted. No one else would choose to live in a town like this on their own accord other than Father Christmas himself; it just made sense. Well... maybe Sora would, but only for the snow since the Islands never truly got such things on a yearly basis. It snowed all the time here, it was neat. Though, if he lived here he'd probably never see a beach for some time. Hm... toss up.
He was getting distracted though, he needed to stay back on topic and pay attention to the matter at hand. Riku still wasn't believing, this wasn't going according to plan. Oh, but he'd figure out the truth at some point or another, there had to be a way to convince him.
"C'mon, do I need to get Santa himself to come down here or something to convince you?"
One's sense of pride was something that usually made the person that held it crash and burn after getting it taken away. Riku's pride was something that showed... a lot. Even after getting it dented and bruised several times in the past, it didn't stop him from being stubborn to certain things -- the Santa existence ordeal being one of those things.
Pulling the black, white fur-lined coat tighter around him, Riku gave a small sigh, still not too thrilled about being where he was. Snow... feh.... It was bad enough that that freak weather occurrence with snow falling on the Destiny Islands that one time.
Anyways... if there was anything that Riku could praise of Sora, it was the fact that he was never so keen on giving up. He saw things out to the very end... heh... perhaps that's why Riku liked hanging out with him so much. Even when they were kids, Sora seemed to be one of those kids that just wouldn't stop until whatever it was he was doing was finished.
"C'mon, do I need to get Santa himself to come down here or something to convince you?"
"Hah... don't make me laugh, Sora." Riku replied with a smirk.

Little flakes of snow caught on his coat and in his beard. Such pretty and unique things, yet they lasted for such a short time. Santa Claus hadn't been walking for very long and already his beard had begun to look more white than gray. He took off his cap and shook off the snow. If Sora and his friend were out here than they were probably freezing. It wasn't a very large place and Santa got the feeling that he would be finding the two visitors soon. His thoughts were proved as he saw two shapeless figures ahead of him.
Slowly he made his way over, there was no hurry. Through the falling snow he heard the words 'me laugh, Sora' coming out of the mouth of a black-and-white-dressed boy. So Sora was here, but was this other person who he thought it was? In a jolly voice he called out to the brown-haired teen as he neared the two, "Sora! Why hello there!" His face lit up at the sight of this old friend. "Why don't you introduce me to your friend here?" A kind smile was flashed at the unknown visitor while Santa waited for an answer.
