In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The air was thick... some awfully pungent smell wafted through it. The smell of the dead was the aroma that filled the air, whereas their screams were the noise of the wind that trickled by peoples' ears.
This place was not worth staying in for much longer, Kian knew this right from the start. The one thing that he couldn't avoid, however, was that he was needing to pass by in order to find something that he had lost long ago. Worry and remorse often brought heroes to their knees. Though, before it could do that (in order to avoid that) they would often need to venture to the darkest depths and the strangest areas.
Answers were hard to come by and those who were wanting to know them would often find them in the strangest of places. Today's case was no exception to this.
He knew that he would find his answer one way or another. Right now, however, venturing through the wasteland of an area seemed to be a sure fire way to find an answer. He could run into her... he would. If he didn't, then... things would be fine! She would be able and well, still alive.
Were she to be alive, his heart would be lightened and less grieve would be placed upon it. Heck, that was the best case scenario, and being an optimist, that's what he was rooting and hoping for right now! Things would be fine... they'd have to, he didn't come all this way just to find nothing but empty rocks and a bunch of mist...
---
As he continued to walk down the caverns that seemed to fill this world, he let out a sigh, his shoulders slumping slightly. He hadn't found anything yet... nothing at all. This place was like a maze, and the minotaur in the center, the prize, was nowhere to be seen.
Examining the walls, he paused momentarily before continuing.
His hopes wouldn't be crushed... no, he'd continue to walk, continue to fight, to hope.
((A new Hades should be coming shortly, so I shall not take him in this situation as I normally would. If you would like me to come in with another character, I shall do so, otherwise you can wait for the new Hades (AKA Seed)))
(Here goes my new Hades muse.....cower!!) (Yup, Cranlon actually asked me to do this thread with him Tifa)
Ahhh, what a wonderful smell the underworld gave off this morning. Well...what Hades considered morning. The rotting corpses, the sounds of souls being in eternal agony. All wonderful things that added to this day. If only Hades had felt this way. His mind was plagued by boredom and annoyance. Annoyance being Blunder Boy of course, but the boredom....well that's just from the lack of people dieing. Most people that Hades went after the family didn't even want to beg or strike a deal the get their loved ones back. And the Lord of the Dead looked forward to that every time.
"Well I'm not going to ease this boredom just sitting here..." Hades exclaimed as he let out a sigh and sluggishly got off his throne and walked out the door. Cerberus was sleeping...like usual. Worthless mut. Hades began his downward walk to the main corridors of the Underworld. His gaze only being adverted by the Heartless that seemed to be popping out of the ground. He hardly notices them anymore, just as long as they stay in their place. The screams finally filled his ears when he reached the corridors. But they were silenced quickly by Hades, not only to him, but to anyone who might have been wondering the halls.
"Jeez, ever since that Key-Kid started saving the worlds, no one's been dieing as quick. Well less work for me then." Hades sarcastically said with both of his hands beside his face at the word saving as a sign of annoyance. Sure Hades loves not working....but all the time? Nah.
Continuing his march through the maze of the Underworld, Hades could sense that a living soul was here. A light bearer too. Letting out a sigh and rolling his eyes Hades snapped his fingers and went up into a puff of smoke to the place were the soul was at. -------------------------
Almost instantly Hades had reappeared about 5 feet in front of Kian. Hades looked him head to toe and asked sarcastically, "Your not dead are you kid?"
Normally people knock before entering... or at least give some notification that they are going to be coming. General times, notes, anything like that helps. However, no matter how much you pushed for notification, there were always those few that would drop by unannounced due to them "being them".
Such was the case that was occurring before Kian on this rather 'interesting' day. A flurry of smoke had appeared, casing Kian to bring his arm to his mouth, coughing slightly. How pleasant.... As the smoke cleared, a lanky figure stood amidst the open area. He seemed out of place, yet in place all at the same time... perhaps that's just how this part of the world worked. An old world filled with odd people, it certainly seemed to describe this portion of world to a T.
"Your not dead are you kid?"
Kid? Tch... who was he to call him that? Whatever the case was, it didn't matter, he would find out soon enough, regrettably. Kian wasn't particularly wanting to talk at the moment, he was busy, and the more time this stranger took from him, the less likely of a chance he would be able to find what it was he came here looking for.
Straightening his posture, he gave a slight scoff, looking at the blue individual, "Nope, and not planning on dying any time soon."
With that, he started off again, passing by the new individual. As he passed him, Kian felt a sudden chill, shivering slightly. That was when he stopped.
He shivered... that wasn't the cold he was feeling (he rarely shivered from chills thanks to his ice-user status). Chills were one thing, this was something else entirely.
Silently debating, he paused momentarily before pacing away again. Kian didn't need to know... didn't want to know.
Hades loved sarcasm, a lot actually. But it didn't seem like this kid was even hinting at a lie. Oh well, but still....a LIVING soul wondering the Underworld? Doesn't happen very often. Hades began to think about----.
"He-hey! Whats the rush kid? Got a hot date your late for?" Hades said in his normal sarcastic tone as he began to start ofter the kid after he stopped beside him and began his march again. Jeez, most people can't wait to start blabbering away whenever they get the chance. What makes this kid any different?
I bet this poor sap doesn't even know he's in the Underworld. Well at least that marks out him being someone Zeus sent to check up on stuff. Hmmm, doesn't seem like the type that annoying mouse Mickey would send. And he sure is not any Sora. Let's play
"Ya know kid, the Underworld is a dangerous place to be for the living. Wouldn't want Hades to find ya...dropping dead know would ya?" Hades said as he walked beside Kian. This kid was obviously here for something, why not solve boredom and find out what at the same time right?
"Whats the rush, kid? Got a hot date your late for?"
Persistant, wasn't he? Kian knew that he wasn't wanting company right around now, and jokes were definitely another that he could have done without. He'd even gone to the trouble of following him. God, get a clue... that was what he was needing to do right about now.
"Yeah right... something way more important than that."
Distractions were what this place was filled with, and there were far too many for its own good. How was Kian supposed to make it anywhere with people and things like this following him no matter where he found himself? Wherever he was, they were it seemed.
"Ya know, kid, the Underworld is a dangerous place to be for the living. Wouldn't want Hades to find ya...dropping dead now would ya?"
This guy seemed to know what he was talking about, and that was something that Kian needed right now. Sure, he could have just gone around and pretended to know just where it was he was heading, but having someone there with you that knew what was going on, that was the key.
With a slight sigh, he looked over with the corner of his eyes, head still aimed ahead, his paces slowing some, though not halting.
"Guess I can't really say," he said with a shrug. "Don't know who this Hades guy is you're talking about."
"Yeah right... something way more important than that."[/i]
Again with the cold shoulder. This kid sure doesn't want anyone around him huh? But, as usual Hades would stick around where he isn't wanted.
" Oh come on..what could be more important then a girl for someone your age? Commitment issues?" Hades gave a slight chuckle and continued to follow the boy. Who knows, Hades might have found the solution to his boredom.
"Guess I can't really say," "Don't know who this Hades guy is you're talking about."[/i]
Cue the eye roll and some frustration. How could he NOT know about Hades? Mr. Lord of the Dead, Tall blue and handsome himself? Perfect, this means this kid is just another hopeless wanderer. Still....Hades could have fun with this.
Hades tried not the laugh or show his slight anger while saying, "Don't know Hades?! Don't know Hades?!. You mean you've never head of the LORD of the Dead, Mr.Tall, dark, and Handsome himself? Boy kid, you really are isolated."
But one question still remained to be answered. Why WAS this kid here in the underworld the begin with? Time to tweak the imagination.
"Anyway kid," Hades starts with a more serious tone and still trailing the kid, "What are doing down here?"
He shrugged to the first point. In all honesty, Kian was a bit isolated, he grew up in places that differed from the way things were in these new areas. Electricity, guns -- many things were new and unknown to him. How they worked, how they were created without him knowing, many things that no one was sure of.
This guy sure was one thing that Kian wouldn't understand, and he was well aware of that. He was proceeding to follow the eskimo as he paced to... well... he wasn't really sure of that yet, but still; following nonetheless.
It was when the question of why it was he was down here sprung up that he had to stop thinking about why it was his personal space was being invaded right now and begin to think about his reasons. Why did this guy need to know, did it matter to him? Not likely... but he had expressed interest, so why not share? Kian sure saw no harm in that...
Hey, he might even be able to help! Heh, seemed like his optimistic side was slowly creeping out from the fog that plagued this part of the world.
"I'm looking for someone... an old friend of mine. Not sure if she's dead... but making sure."
Dead.
That word crept out from the bottom of his stomach, through his throat... it was a word that plagued life, one that people never really did want to say. Kian didn't want to admit she was dead, that would be losing hope and giving up. But... how else was he to explain it? Death was death, it wasn't funny, it was what it was. Simple as that.

((I deeply apologize if I shouldn't be posting in this place, but I decided to try and play out Pain's character a bit more. I'll be sure to get rid of this post if any of ya want))
"I don't CARE!", said an angry fat imp. "Muuuuuh" a low, long moan was the only response. "No way, Jose! I'm not letting some rube like YOU out of the Underworld just cuz' ya think you're not dead!" The imp, out of frusturation, grabbed at the floating soul. "Muuuuuuh?" The soul tried to escape. "In ya go!" Pain, the imp, that is, tossed the soul into a secret door of the sickly gray walls. Where he will stay for the rest of his after life.
Pain sighed in relief. If that person's soul escaped .... Hades would've .... naaaah ..... Hades wouldn't have to know about it. Besides, he still got the soul back.
Another day in the Underworld. Gloomy, Dark, Misty, and everything that can ruin your day. The little imp stretched his gaunt arms and plump legs. Pain pondered. What was there to do on a day like this? So far, no missions assigned to him. The Underworld, while it may be home, was a dreadfully boring place. So, Pain tromped down one of the cavernous halls of the Underworld, maybe something will come up. something interesting? "Ouch!" upon some thinking ... Pain had stepped on his tail.
That's when the small imp noticed Hades ..... and some kid both not too far away .... Whatever was going on, if Lord Hades was involved, it wouldn't be good. Pain decided it'd be best not ruin such plans, so he hid himself, hanging off of a stalagtite on a far above ceiling, disguised as a fat purplish-pink bat. (Stalagtites are the up ones, right?)

(Not at all. It would be good to have Pain here) (Sorry for short post. Hades muse kinda dead. Stupid puns)
Dead huh? How could you not know if someone you knew was dead? Well to be honest Hades got that a lot. That's why some people came to him to ask. Of course some sort of contract was made for an answer. So why not now?
"Dead? Hmmm" Hades materialized a clipboard and his traditional skull pin and began to flip through the pages. If this person he was looking for was indeed dead their name would be written on here.
He stopped on one page and narrowed his eyes. On it was written "Panic is stupid". Cue the eye roll. Giving a sigh he flipped through more pages. HA! There is is. The Dead page. Almost shoving the clipboard in Kians face Hades said with his hand that held the pin making writing motions. "Just tell me the name and I'll see if their here..."
... Who could treat death like that? A list of names... flipping through the pages like they were nothing. Worthless things were far from what those were, those people had lives, people that knew them, people that had suffered and deserved more respect than that. As much as it wasn't Kian's business to comment or interfere... well... it was hard to do just that, and that was the whole-hearted truth.
He shook his head slightly, eyes averting to the side, "Wouldn't be much use... only have her first name." He looked back, "And besides, I came here to find her on my own, I doubt you could do all that much."
A hunch was a hunch, but that was enough. Kian had a pretty good idea where she would be if she was down here, not a destination, but an idea of her surroundings. What she liked, what it was she could spend her time by... memories like that never slipped, those were the few things he knew about her, and he trusted and held those dearly. Who was this blue guy to tell him otherwise?
A purple cockroach crawled its way over behind a rock, not too far away from Hades and that other new kid. It chewed its way into an old piece of a bologna sandwich. Most likely, this was some leftover meal from one of the Underworld's employee lunchbreaks. "Yum!" Squeeked the small bug. As it turned out, the oddly colored cockroach was Pain. He looked over from behind the rock, craddling the small sandwich piece in his claws and slowly chewing it as he continued to watch the ongoing event.
((Sorry for short post, but there ain't much for Pain to do as of now))

"Wouldn't be much use... only have her first name." "And besides, I came here to find her on my own, I doubt you could do all that much."
Well a first name shouldn't be to hard to look up. Everyone was sorted by first name anyway. Hades did that to confuse the people who came to bargain for their loved ones back. Making the clipboard and pin vanish in a puff of smoke. Tapping his finger on his chin and putting a thinking face on, Hades thought of a way to get this kid to spill why he was here.
Snapping his fingers and saying "Eureka!" He looked around the his surroundings to try and find Pain or Panic. They were usually around here at this time of day. Getting frustrated the Lord of the Dead's flames began to turn red as he yelled, "PAIN! PANIC!"
(Globber. If you want to put Panic in your post that would be fine. If not..cool too)
Urg, sorry... just no real reason to RP as of late .-. *drama lamas* What's my motive!?
... Pain? Panic? Hah, that was worth a laugh, obviously those things were here in the situation, he was talking about one his closest friends, and yet this stranger wanted to be 'innocent' and point out the obvious, not caring about just what his actions might bring about.
But it seemed more like a summon... a summon of feelings? How absurd...
Something about this whole situation was fishy... Kian couldn't quite place his finger on it, but it was definitely there, no doubt about that. Folding his bare arms across his chest, he gave a slight scowl. This guy was wasting his time... no matter how much he promised he could help the ice-user.
(Put Panic in my post? ... I would like to see the duo for once here ...)
Panic was casually marching down the Underworld's dark caverns, looking for somehing, ANYTHING, to do. But that's when he heard his own name, "PAIN! PANIC!" it reached out and practically smacked him in his pointy face. "Guuuuh!" The blue stimpy imp recoiled, ready to get blasted by Hades' fireballs ... Almost immediatley, he realized his mistake. A summoning! Panic reached out his gaunt arms and charged over to his master ....
Meanwhile, Pain as a cockroach was stuck on his back! The shock of his lord' yelling pretty much knocked him over! As soon as he pried himself off the ground, he crawled to the middle of the room ... That's when Panic entered.
"I'm comin'! D-d-d-don't worry!!" Panic charged in, accidently stepping on the cockroach Pain, but he continued running to his master and that kid next to him. "E-e-e-eeeew! Somethin's on my foot!" "Stop running!" Pain transformed back into his Imp form as Panic accidently squished him in mid run. The two both tripped, rolled, and clumsily scrambled over to Hades.
